"Our favorite place!"

This was our 3rd visit back to English Meadows- we are officially hooked as repeat customers! Besides the beautifully decorated rooms and great location, we most look forward to seeing the inn keepers Liz and Eric who always make our stay memorable. Without question this is the only place to stay!
"Amazing B&B just steps from Dock Square"

We just returned from a long weekend in Kennebunkport and had a wonderful stay at the Inn at English Meadows. We stayed in the Beach Walk room. While it is their smallest room, it was certainly cozy and comfortable. The Frette linens, high end toiletries and comfortable queen bed were all nice touches. The breakfast was amazing and they clearly put a lot of thought into making the 3 course meal unforgettable. Breakfast was served on the patio surrounded by beautiful gardens which makes for a relaxing morning dining experience. The bed was made, towels were folded and the room tidied up every time we got back from our morning breakfast. It was like clockwork and these small touches don't go unnoticed. There were fresh cookies every afternoon, beach chairs and towels that were provided and unlimited games to choose from on those rainy days. We were able to walk in to the center of town (about an 8 minute walk) which was also a nice perk. Will definitely be back!
"One of the Best Inns in Maine"

We stayed over July 4th week-end and thoroughly looked forward to our daily gourmet breakfasts. Liz, chef/owner of the Inn had such amazing breakfasts. We started with a muffin or scone, some fresh fruit with a gourmet flair such as lime mint dressing or mascarpone and balsamic--followed by a poached egg atop a crab cake. Mama Mia--it was amazing. The innkeepers and Bailey, the resident Golden Doodle, are delights. Bailey always greets the guests and is a joy to pet. He then happily sits and lets you eat your breakfast. the inn is stocked with amenities from the robe and slippers, to Frette linens. Afternoon Tea and cookies is such a treat. We loved staying here and the hospitality of Liz and Eric was just delightful. Will return in the Fall and will make this our Inn of choice.
"Charming and Contemporary"

I must admit the whole bed and breakfast thing didn't appeal to me until I stayed at the Inn at English Meadows. It was an extraordinary. We stayed in the Serenity Suite. Beautiful, understated, comfortable and yet I felt like I was at an expensive hotel. Everything from the rum scented high end toiletries to the soaking tub and bedding were lavish. The breakfasts were yummy and the cookies served at 3:00 were to die for!! Liz was fabulous she helped steer us in the perfect direction and went above and beyond in making our weekend everything we had hoped for and more! I am hoping to make this an annual tradition!!!

I recently joined two long time friends for a reunion and celebration of birthdays at the Inn. Liz was wonderful in arranging a package that included spending the afternoon with a local chef at 50 Local Rest. and a celebration dinner at the White Barn. We would highly recommend this Inn. I have used B&Bs in England, France and Italy and this compares some of the best I have enjoyed. The room was spacious, well appointed, up to date bathrooms. The bed was very comfortable unlike many in Europe. Common areas very comfortable for an afternoon of tea and cookies (which were wonderful). Breakfast was extra special, much better than most B&Bs. It was a pleasure to spend 3 nights. The Inn is located a very short walk to shopping and numerous eating establishments. Price was fair for the quality of the Inn.
"1 Year Wedding Anniversary"

My husband and I decided to take a relaxing/romantic weekend trip for our one year wedding anniversary and we stumbled on The Inn at English Meadows on google. We couldn't have had a more delightful weekend! The Inn Keeper, Liz, was amazing and had fresh baked cookies in the common area every night when we came in from dinner or a night on the town. The rooms were modern, clean, VERY comfortable, and private even in a B&B. We were in a suite so we didn't have to share a bathroom with the other guests. We were able to order bottles of wine when we came in and we didn't feel like we had to tip-toe back in after a late evening. The breakfast.....absolutely delicious and you can tell that presentation is clearly a top priority to LIz. We had an amazing weekend and can't wait to go back to The Inn at English Meadows.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this inn. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and well kept. The breakfast was delicious! The location was great. The welcome basket was enjoyed and appreciated. And Liz provided a perfect recommendation for our anniversary dinner (Stripers). It was within our budget and met our expectations with a beautiful view and impressive menu. We could not have enjoyed our stay more and hope to return one day.
"Perfect way to end our trip"

Having stayed in two pricey but disappointing places this past week in New England this was such a relief! We got in the door and we both just felt...finally! Something worth what we paid for it. Liz was welcoming and so helpful. Made reservations for us for dinner, got us some wine. Lovely basket of snacks is supplied for your room and fresh cookies and coffee and tea at any time in the lounge. Fridge with complimentary drinks in common area. The bed was like at home and just felt so luxurious. I didn't want to get up. Our biggest complaint is that we were only able to stay for one night. Haven't had breakfast yet but can hardly wait!
"Loved our stay"
We would definitely return to English Meadows. The staff was so pleasant, the room cozy and uber clean. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. Hope to return in the Fall. Oh 2 restaurants we tried, 50 Local and the Old Vine Wine Bar were fabulous.

I'm hesitant to write this review as it's tempting to keep this place to myself. My husband and I decided to get away for a short trip up to Kennebunkport and had heard very good things about The Inn at English Meadows. They were all true! Upon check-in, Liz took the time to show us around the beautiful suite. The rooms were clean and modern but still incredibly welcoming. Little touches like a fridge full of bottled water, snacks in a welcome basket, and high end toiletries really made the difference. You couldn't help but relax. Liz was helpful in giving us suggestions on dinner, directions to sights and things to do. Breakfast the next morning was delicious! The dining room is just as inviting as the suite. A small living room set up with coffee and newspapers in the morning made it hard to even leave the property. I cannot wait to visit again.
