The Collette was a great hotel for the money. We were there for the boat show so it was in a great location. Close to the port (maybe 3 blocks) and easily a 5-8 minute walk. There is lots of shopping 2 blocks away and plenty of restaurants. The only downside is that the hotel is right on a busy street and we could hear ALL the noise from the street […] ALL night. There is a cafe that is open all night and our room happened to be facing it; hence we heard people and bottles and laughter ALL night long. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is not a 5-Star hotel but is very easily a NICE 3-star (above average) maybe even a 4-star. I would still recommend this hotel if you want a clean, nice, friendly staff hotel. The bathrooms could be nicer (c'mon get new bathtubs!) but really, you won't be disappointed given the low cost of the hotel. Read more

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and didn't complain when we accidentally slept until 1pm on the day of our check-out. Hotel decor was trendy and cool, and very comfortable. Convenient location, but on the edge of the nicer part of Cannes. This is a very good value in a Cannes hotel!

The hotel was magnificent. We got an amazing room romantic, luxury, “extraordinaire”. The staff was super kind. We felt we were staying at a 5dimonds resort. Breakfast was gourmet and abundant. Kiwi, eggs, bacon. We really did not expected to be this good. We were extremely surprised by the experience. We were sorry we did not plan staying longer here. […] We would love to come back again. Across the street from the train station. VAT was not included in the price, so that was unexpectedly charged at checkout. Breakfast was not included, but we thought it was the first morning we were there. Be sure you know if it is included or not. Internet was included. There were some problems at first, but they were fixed before we left. The room […] had been newly remodeled along with the rest of the hotel. They are working to become a 4 star hotel. In rushing to get everything ready, there were a few details that still needed work. Elevator was out of service while we were there, but fixed (very small). Room did not have twin beds as requested & confirmed at time of reservation. The staff was very apologetic & recognized it as their error, but unfortunately "did not have a room with twin beds available" for that night. Accomodated us by adding another room which was very small (closet size) & without air conditioning. The following night, moved us […] to a room with proper beds, altho beds were not too comfortable (extremely soft). Nice hotel, but I don't think it warrants the fourth star as our room was very very small. However it was clean, with a nice bathroom. Great location, right beside the train station. The reception staff were very helpful, and directed us to some great restaurants. Overall, great value for money.

We stayed in Hotel Colette for a wedding we were attending in Cannes. From a location point of view it couldn’t be better - you are a 5 minute walk to the harbour/old town/beaches and the bus to and from the airport. No need for taxis around the place if you stay here. The hotel was clean and well kept - only issue was the rooms smelt a little musty […] but not in a dirty way. However it is definitely not 4*. Absolutely nothing wrong with the hotel but not 4 star. Breakfast was the highlight - all you could eat with fresh juice, eggs and coffee. Very nice and also served until 10.30 which was great for the morning after the wedding. If you are looking for a central place to lay your head this is the place. The staff are friendly and were helpful in giving directions and every bar and restaurant you want are on your door step. I'd recommend a stay here for a weekend visit to Cannes Read more

Alhtough hotel is located close to the happening part of town, the bus and train station are even closer. The air conditionare doesnt work it just blows air and when we mentioned it to the reception they told us not to worry as this is just the way it is! Considering the room is tiny it can get pretty stuffy inside. Another negative side was the smell […] in the room. Have no idea what it was: previous occupants or the kitchen fumours from the restaurant right above the room but it was almost unbearable. Cant open the window cuz of the kitchen smells and the air conditionaire won't work either. The hotel has a nice decoration and the rooms are generally clean. Overall it was ok but i am glad i didnt stay there during the summer. It would have been brutal. Read more

Overall the hotel was good. It was very close to the railway station but the area was not too grotty, being near to the centre of the Cannes' shopping district and only a short walk to the beach. The service was also good, the staff were friendly. It's rated 4-star on Expedia but the room was more 3-star than 4-star, being small (even for Europe) with […] a rather squishy bathroom. Although it said to hang towels up if we didn't want them changed, it was almost impossible to hang them, as the towel rails were only a short distance above a ledge. The TV stuck out from the wall next to the bathroom door, we had to squeeze between it and the bed; knocked it a few times and were afraid we would damage it or us. The room had nice furnishings, but some were a bit impractical, in that the metal bedside cube had holes in it big enough for some of my things to fall through so I had to put paper on top of it. However, the breakfast was good, more like what you would expect of a 4-star hotel, and on the whole we were pretty satisfied. Read more

Great hotel, clean & comfortable, very friendly & helpful staff and good location. Visited with a female friend & would recommend to single female friends. Shame no pool though as beach expensive, unless you hire a deck hair at the municipal end or find a space on the areas of public beach.

Very close to the Cannes station. Lots of restaurants, pubs and shopping area around the hotel. Easy walkable distance to the sea beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean and had an en-suite mini bar. Breakfast was good too. So overall it was a nice stay:-)

Clean rooms and bathrooms. Although located close to the railway station and the main road, our room faced the internal courtyard and was very quiet. Very nicely decorated. The best thing about this hotel was the staff, they were friendly and helpful at all times. The second best thing was the decor. It was funny because the hotel looks like it used to be not very nice but a cosmetic refurb has done wonders. I'll give an example; the ceiling looks like an office build with those funny squares, and you can see the paint […] is covering a lot of lumps and bumps. That said whoever the stylist was has picked a tasteful white alabaster look, with really really cool art, and features. The reception areas are full of cool furniture and arty objects. This styling actually pulls it together to provide what was quite an enjoyable stay at a fraction of La Croisette prices. Everything is within short walking distance, and you can't hear much from the train station. Flat-Screen TVs, minibar and safe, plus fairly decent amenities mean I would give this a top reccomendation for the budget-midrange holidayer. It's a high 3 star, low 4 star I reckon, and additionally you'll have plenty more money to spend on the Rue d'Antibes. Read more

I only needed a room for two nights and had to catch an early train so it was just perfect. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I stayed in Cannes in the end of my four week long journey at the côte a'zur so the city wasn't very exciting for me.

Upon arrival the staff were ever so helpful and polite. The room was exceptionally clean and beautifully presented. i especially loved quirky little elements such as the bunny rabbit figures outside my window. I regularly visit Cannes for business and will be returning to this hotel without a doubt.

Stayed in hotel twice in quick sucession. Rooms small but very clean and have everything you need including good wifi (free). Location is very close to everything - marina/beach is 5-10 minutes walk. Street is beside bus station so not the best street in the area. Overall, good hotel and location and great value.

Our room was small but had everything we needed. We self catered with the aid of the excellent Monoprix few doors down, moving the contents of the mini bar out onto the side to free up the fridge. As we wanted to explore the coast by train, the location of the hotel was perfect so close to the station. It was only five minutes from the beach, (staight […] down Rue des Serbes), also an easy stroll to Le Suquet and the delights of the old town. As it is only one street back from all the shops on Rue D'Antibes, Gallery Lafyette etc, you couldn't ask for a more convenient place. Hotel staff seemed very pleasant, we didn't need to trouble them for much except leaving the key when we went out and picking it up again on the way in, but they were approachable and friendly. We would definately stay here again if we visited Cannes in the future. Some of the highlights - train ride to San Remo (change at Ventimiglia). Stop at Villefranches on the way back to swim virtually straight off the train platform! Walk up to the old clock tower at the top of Le Suquet at night to see the view across the bay lit up. Evening picnic on the rocks on Cannes beach watching the sun set behind the hills. Read more

Literally across the street from the train station, and thus two blocks from the center of the beach and the city center. EXCELLENT breakfast. Well-equipped. The interior of the hotel itself is quite impressive, and it's a heck of a bargain. Definitely the type of place you want to stay. You can tell they are putting in a lot of effort.

Vi sov en natt i Cannes under rundresa på rivieran och valde då hotell Colette. Hotellet var välskött och ganska fint men på tok för små rum och läget var också ganska tråkigt - mitt emot busstationen, vilket bidrog till mycket oväsen. Frukostbuffén var helt ok! Majoriteten av personalen trevlig.

Hotellbetjeningen var svært hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Hotellet virket tomt for gjester. Til tross for det, fikk vi et svært lite rom som virket mye mindre enn bilder presentert på nettet. Minimum av space til å være et 4 stjerners hotell. Grei frokost som vi måtte betale ekstra for i en sal tom for andre gjester.

Hotellet var rent och snyggt, och hade trevlig och tillmötesgående personal. Inte jättestora rum, men tillräckligt. Bara ett par minuters promenad från shopping och strand. Skulle boka samma hotell igen vid nytt besök.

Non consiglierei mai un hotel come il Colette, in quanto non è ammissibile che un hotel classificato con 4 stelle, preveda la "tendina" in simil pvc per la doccia, vergognoso ed antigienico.
