Martinique on Macrossan - Port Douglas

Would recommend this hotel location; it is steps from the beach and right on the main town strip in town. Clean and comfortable I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Port Douglas.

The location is fabulous, it is on the quiet end of Macrossan. You are only a few hundred yards away from the beautiful 4 mile beach in one direction and in the other is all the shopping and restaurants. But what really made our stay so enjoyable where the owners of the hotel. They are very accessible and extremely helpful. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and Fred was always willing to do whatever was needed to accommodate our needs and really made you feel very special. It was a great location, just short walk to down town area for restaurants and shopping. Our apartment was very nice. Had everything that we needed. Good location close to the city centre and very close to the beach. We arrived around 10 am and our room was ready. The lady at reception very friendly and helpful. Gave us a souvenir magnet :-). The only minor downside was loud fan in the bathroom and kitchen.

We were on the top floor at the best time of year with cool evenings, so i loved opening the windows and doors to the breeze with the wooden shutters in place for privacy. The hotel is generally very good and in a quiet location. The management are quite helpful and give good advice. The pool is heated. However, the rooms are serviced weekly not daily as many would expect. This also means that coffee supplies etc needs to be requested. There is a surcharge for internet service which many places provide free.

These apartments are very comfortable. Our bedroom did not have any windows which made it a bit dark but the living area was fairly spacious. Our hosts Antonia and Fred were very friendly and helpful. The apartments are in a great position at the bottom end of Macrossan Street so an easy walk to shops and restaurants and close to 4 Mile Beach. Fred […] recommended and booked our 2 trips out to the Reef and they were wonderful. There is a small sheltered pool area at the back with a heated pool and lounges. Excellent hosts - Antonia and Fred - nothing was too much trouble and they gave us very good advice on where to go etc. The hotel is ideally situated in Port Douglas - close to Four Mile beach and also the centre of town for shopping and restaurants. The room was very well equipped and very clean. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Would have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone. The owners of the Apartments were very friendly, helpful with suggestions for trips etc. Very convenient for the adjacent 4 mile beach and just off the main shopping/ restaurant road, to make the place quiet/peaceful.

Vacation of a lifetime! Antonia and Fred were so welcoming -- they went out of their way for us. The location was remarkable, the room was so comfortable. Port Douglas is a dream, and so is Martinique on the Macrossan!

Loved the hotel from the moment we arrived, the gardens, pool and rooms were all gorgeous and the location is great, a short stroll down to the beach and an easy walk to the main shopping strip and restaurants. Would definitely stay there again, just be aware there are no lifts if you have a problem with stairs.

Fantastic location on the main strip of port douglas and one of the closest resorts to the beach. The heated salt water pool is a must see. Very clean and tidy elegant rooms. Only trouble was the noisy rubbish collection by the council. Very well priced for what you get, would definatley recommend.

What a magical find. These apartments are spacious, well equiped and very clean. They have good laundry facilities and secure underground parking, a BBQ area and a lovely private and relaxing pool area to the rear of the building . In an excellent location close to Four Mile Beach and within a couple minutes walk to shops, restaurants and bars. We stayed […] at the apartments for 2 weeks in February 2011. Initially we had booked to stay for 1 week - but enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our stay for an extra week. Fred & Antonia are excellent hosts. Excellent rapport quality prix. Les proprietaires sont tres sympa, ils nous ont prepare et reserve toutes nos visites sur place et sont toujours restes a notre ecoute. Hotel tres calme malgre sa situation au coeur de la station. A 1 minute a pied de la plage, a 5 minutes a pied des restaurants.
