It was an excellent discovery - the hotel is very pretty, the rooms as well as the service is excellent. Bog choice of fruits, bread, eggs, etc. for breakfast with a very attentive personnel.

Impeccable service and charming staff. Spa is very good but must be prepared to pay for the experience. Close to Fisherman's village where there is a good selection of restaurants. Excellent for quiet retreat.

Hotel was very good for the price. The staff were nice and helpful. The spa was exceptional. You can lie by the beach and chill or do water sports or go sight seeing, there is lots to do. We had a lovely time there and hope to go back soon.

The hotel and the surrounding gardens are lovely. The staff was very professional and the food in the Full Moon restaurant was amazing. The only downside is the rooms are small for more than 2 people. If more than 2 stay at the new section next door - all suites, and enjoy the grounds of the older Anantara resort.

Overall we had a very nice stay in Anantara, unfortunately the weather was terrible, but that was just bad luck! The sun came out just as we were heading to airport!! Only negative I have is that when we were checking out it was a bit messy, and when I looked back on bill I realised they had hit us 8 times for donations to their elephant cause, that a bit cheeky in my opinion as it was supposed to be a certain amount per person and there were only 4 of us. The staff at Anantara were very courteous, but the condition of the hotel itself was quite low for the price point. Also, wifi was free for only 30 minutes per day per room for only one device! EVERY other hotel we stayed at in Thailand included free wifi unlimited. Anantara said if we joined their membership program we could get our wifi unlimited, […] but since we will never stay at one again, I didn't think that necessary. We were invited to a timeshare sales pitch, but declined easily. The room was pretty, but the floor was cracked and the plumbing in the shower barely a dribble (we didn't bring this up with staff as we were not wanting to bother with a room change during our short stay.) There was a siamese fighting fish in a tiny bowl on the dresser, but the bowl wasn't cleaned so it was easy to see his droppings and wasted food on the bottom of the bowl. Also, the staff provided a honeymoon welcome back full of flowers on our arrival, and after that there was still sand and grit in the tub every morning as if it had not been cleaned. The landscaping/gardens were pretty, but wilting as if they weren't maintained well. The breakfast buffet was standard fare for Thailand with nothing to complain about. We didn't eat other meals there because the prices were higher even than the BoPhut Resort down the street, where we stayed previously for much more money! I think the room at Anantara should be priced in a lower range to be a good value. Read more

Lovely place to stay for a romantic holiday We stayed 4 nights and thought that it would be a good idea to stay one week or so, to enjoy such a beautiful place a bit longer we we had to travel to our next destination, to Koh Tao island. The hotel provides a strong good impression entering via a covered and manned pagoda style gate house. The gate keeper was usually dressed in a colourful uniform with a matching pith helmet! The drive past the gate house is over a wood effect bridge, with small lagoons on either side, with a good level of feature planting. Very well landscaped and maintained […] gardens area feature of this hotel, with a mixture of tropical planting and Orchids attached to the various palm trees around the estate. The reception is breezy and very Thai in look. A monkey theme is evident everywhere with the 3 large feature copper monkeys at the front of the hotel and three others of a similar size at the side of the infinity pool next to the beach. The hotel rooms are very well finished, with a balcony and out door seating. The bed was raised onto a mahogany dias, which took some time to get used to, but was very comfortable. The room had A/C,TV, safe, mini bar/ small fridge and plenty of storage space in the room. The hotel manager toured around the breakfast room one day and asked all the guests aout their stay; something we have not experienced before having travelled to many countries around the world. A very charming and professional man. The staff were first class. Happy, Courtious and very well trained in how to make the guests stay a good one; even the gardener would take time to have a chat when we saw him most mornings, busily maintaining the gardens and central lilly ponds. Partner and I felt the hotel and grounds were superb. Staff all very friendly and wiling to help in anyway from the receptionist to the gardener they all took the time to say hello and wish you a good day, very nice. My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at the Anantara Bophut Resort & Spa Koh Samui. The staff were incredibly helpful & friendly. The room was beautiful, comfortable and spotless. We were staying at the Anantara for a wedding with all of the other guests. It was a lovely place, with picturesque grounds, nice rooms (lovely balcony) and a great location - far enough from the crowds to feel quiet but not too far to venture out. Breakfast was lovely although queues for omlettes could be a bit long. The only negative I would say […] is that as the bath was made of a strange material even though it was clean it had stains on it that made it less appealing, so we stuck to showers. What a lovely place to stay on Koh Samui. 5 minutes walk from shopping at the Fishermans Wharf shops. The staff genuinely go above and beyond what is expected of them. 落ち着いた感じでよかったです。アメニティは少なかったですが、備え付けのシャンプー、コンディショナー、ソープ、アロマオイルが良い香りでリゾート気分でリラックスできました。 チャウエンビーチまでの無料シャトルバスなどが用意されていると便利で良いと思います。 朝食を外の席でとったのですが、たまに鳥が来て鳴いたり、朝食中の席を飛び回っていたので、そこだけは何か対策がとられると良いと思いました。

Restaurant Krua Bophut biedt overheerlijke Thaise gerechten en de Italiaanse keuken van de Happy Elephant On The Beach is ook aan te bevelen. Tegenover de hoofdingang van Anantara (150 m naar rechts) erg goede pizza's bij de Pizzaria van Luca.

Förväntade mig mer av ett SLH hotell. Gammalt hotell där exteriör och interiör håller max 4 stjärnig standard. Bra frukost och concierge. Mkt barn vid poolen. We've always wanted to stay at one of the Anantaras so we decided that this time should be it. As we only stay in 5 star hotels our expectations are naturally high. And I have to say that I am a detail freak. Most hotels aren't really 5 star in my opinion even though they are rated as one. I have no idea how Anantara got the membership of SLH - it […] seems like SLH gives it once and then never come back to check the conditions. We've seen this before in SLH hotels. The room we got was so tired and had a bad smell. We complained and were told that it was because they hadn't had the aroma oilburner lighted in the room (which they actually did). The bathtub had a lot of mold spots. This we also complained about and the manager was very nice about it (she knew about the problem) and said she would have it fixed. We know the humidity in Asia makes it easy for mold to grow in bathrooms but when you go to a 5 star hotel this shouldn't even be an issue. At last the room was extremely small and had an old decor. We finally got an upgrade to a suite and even though this was also old and tired it was a lot better that the shoebox we first were put in. When it comes to the italian restaurant at Anantara it was voted the best in Samui. However the service wasn't consistent. As an example we were offered mosquito spray the first night and the rest of the nights we weren't. But I have to say the staff does an amazing job in the restaurant. They made us feel special and they remembered our names. Foodwise the Zazen hotel makes a better gourmet dinner and has a more romantic ambience. The breakfast was a marathon every morning. It took a minimum of 15 minutes to get your order and there wasn't enough tables for the guests. Almost anywhere else you a provided with free WiFi but at the Anantara you have to pay for it in your room or go to the library with a code provided from the reception to use the computers for only 30 minutes.
