The room was actually nice, AC worked fine, cable, internet speed was good, and it was clean. The bad part of this hotel was that the lobby was horrible, the breakfast even more horrible and the service from one of the front desk people was very disappointing. "Cheap alternative in good location"
Did an overnight here on a Thursday before staying at Resorts Hotel Casino for the weekend. Pretty run down hotel but surprisingly the room was nice. The actual room looked 10 years newer than the actual hotel itself. Excellent location for cheap no frills stay. Stayed with my family for the week of fourth of July, had a great experience. It was a few steps from the beach which I loved seeing that my mother has bad legs. This hotel looked nothing like the pictures on the internet. Desk clerk upon arrival was very more than rude. Had 1 wash cloth for the first night and when stopped at the desk to ask for more I felt like I was asking him for a hundred dollars. For the price in mid April, the Days Inn on Kentucky ave was a good deal. The hotel was comfortable, although there were signs of age and wear. I have never heard of a "No Visitor" policy at ANY hotels in many hotels I have stayed at. What got me angry the most was the Customer Service and how they treated us, the cleanliness, and most importantly the ridiculous policies of 1 car per room policy and if you have more than 1, you are to pay them $10 per extra car you have. First of all I will preface this review with the disclaimer you get what you pay for. We got a fairly cheap rate so I wasnt expecting much from this "hotel/motel". I chose this days inn over the other cheap places because the reviews say the location is a bad area, this place was no exception. Don't let the vicinity to the boardwalk fool you, this place […] is in the corner of a bunch of vacant lots within about a 25 min walk to the taj mahal. Someone slim-jimed into my rental car, nothing was stolen thank god but it did not fair me well when the rental agency found the damage. I wasnt expecting much from the hotel staff but when i brought this to their attention they seemed to not care at all, and launch into their speech of how you must have left the door unlocked- too bad for you. The staff gave me a similar response to the report that the entire second floor reaked of weed. If i pay for a Non-smoking room...it means non smoking. The condition of the building is marginal, the pictured wall outside is the only thing updated in the last 30 years. The bathroom in our room was very poorly cleaned, with hair in the drain and mold on the celing. In summary avoid this hotel. If the price difference is within 50 bucks of any of the casion hotels or the marriot its worth every penny to upgrade. Our group checked in at 2pm. The room was booked for 4 people, upon arrival there were only three towels in the bathroom. When we called for more towels, we were asked why we needed more. We called at 9pm so had we gone to the beach during the day, showered, then went to dinner and wanted to shower again before going out that night that was out of the […] question. Check out was at 12, at 11:30 there was a knock at the door for the housekeeper who wanted to clean our room. We informed her that we were gathering our bags to head downstairs. After checking out, my friend realized that she had forgotten her phone in the room. she went back in and asked if it had been turned in by the housekeeper. it had been, but they wanted to see her ID before giving it to her. Considering that the room was not in her name, and the visable screen savor was a picture of her, not sure what the point of the ID was. "Sleeping was horriible"
We rented the room for a 2 night stay. My 17 year old daughter and I got in friday evening. Location is good. The problem we had was the bed was extremely itcy for both of us. Rug had stains.
