Room was of high standard and well equipped. as a 4 Star hotel we were surprised to see no bath robes and as oldsters would have enjoyed having a bar of soap instead of all the gels and lotion dispensers! We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant excellent. Breakfast was great. Comfortable bed. Only drawback was we were in an attack room so had 3 flights of narrow steep stairs. Normally ok with stairs but I had injured my knee before arriving which made them difficult. The desk staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, changing our hotel room from the attic to a lower floor when they saw me with a cane (I had not thought to verify that there was an elevator.)

My husband and I would certainly recommend this hotel! The location was perfect!!! You are right in the heart of Old Quebec which means everything is in close walking distance. Another convenience we enjoyed was that the "taxi hangout" was right next to the hotel, so we were able to take a taxi up the Grand Allee for a night out in town, and walk back […] to the hotel since it was downhill. This is a lovely Inn located right at the foot of Chateau Frontenac. I was thrilled to be upgraded to a superior room and the amenities did not disappoint! The room was not huge but cleverly set-up so it does not feel cramped. We chose this destination for a romantic getaway from our children! We chose to stay in the "Superior Room in the Attic". When we arrived they told us a Deluxe room was also available (for a little more), so we checked it out. Both rooms were great, but we ended up in the Attic room because it was so charming and different! We felt like we were in a […] French Chalet. The room was extremely clean and had lots of amenities (body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hairdryer and a GREAT espresso/coffee maker). The breakfast that is included each morning is superb! The inn is located on the Frontenac plaza with easy access to all the sites of Quebec City. An evening stroll on the boardwalk with musicians was very romantic. The staff are very attentive and the room was quiet and quaint. Breakfast was mediocre and our bed was too firm for us but otherwise we were glad we stayed here.

The people at the front desk were so helpful with everything, they made our stay wonderful. I can not say enough about how we enjoyed the waffels for breakfast. They were so good with the maple syrup and fruit that you want to eat them every day we were there. Our room was small, but very clean and having no elevator was not a problem for us.

My wife called the room the "coolest room she's ever stayed in". I wouldn't go that far, because the bathroom sink area is a bit too crowded for my tastes, but it was very comfortable and relaxing. Staff helped with online check-in and ordering a taxi. (Sure, anyone can do this, but these folks went out of their way to offer their help.) And free Wifi on top of all that! Would love to go back. This is a long steep 10 minute walk from the Via Rail station but we did it both ways with carry-on luggage and it was easy. Once you're there you're right in the midst of all the must-see sights, restaurants, shopping etc. The staff here were so helpful. Highly recommended.

Auberge Place d'Armes is right across the square from Chateau Frontenac, and very convenient to everything. You can't drive to the front door in summer, since the street is for walkers only during the busy season. But, desk staff is very helpful, so wasn't a problem. We loved staying in the loft at the auberge place de armes. The only caveat I would add is there is no elevator, which could be a challenge for older folks or those with any mobility issues. The staff was very helpful moving luggage.

This place was perfect! The room was exactly as it looked on the website. It was spacious with windows that opened onto the square below (we liked feeling connected to the scene) but with the windows closed it was totally quiet. The bathroom was shower-only but I don't mind this. The shampoo & bath gel were fine but the conditioner was not up to my […] standards.....bring your own. There was a restauant on-site which was excellent, & a delicious to-order breakfast was included in the room price. Bonus: they will bring it to your room for "breakfast in bed", no problem. (We did tip each day.) There is no elevator so beware if you have a huge bag. The front staff did help me on my departure but the night porter did not offer on arrival. Again, I did tip for the service. It is central to everything in Quebec; right on the main square, across the street from the funicular that takes you to the "lower town" and across the street from the Fairmont Hotel Frontenac. (avoid the crepe restaurant next door to the Fairmont) I would definitely stay here again. For the record we had the blue room and I think it was a "suite". Read more

I was nothing but impressed by Auberge Place d'Armes. They made special accomodations for my wife and I since it was our honeymoon. Anything we needed was delivered to our room immediately. Restaurant food was very good and reasonably priced compared to the rest of town. Great location.

The room was small, but charming. They did an excellent job of renovating. The was no maid service one day. The shower did not function like it was supposed to. We advised them twice and they did some work but did not fix the problems. The restaurant was first class.

The hotel is in a great spot right in Old Quebec, and there are many shops, restaurants, and sight seeing areas within walking distance. Although they do not have parking at the hotel, the front desk person was very helpful in instructing us on where to go for parking and asked if we needed assistance with bags. The room itself was small but with cozy touches - exposed brick wall, wood beams, nice lighting, piece of chocolate on pillow - and the bed was very comfy. The hotel also has a restaurant, and our stay included free breakfast. We were allowed to order anything off of the breakfast menu, which was great, and the food was very good! We went the first weekend in April, and although a bit chilly, not uncomfortable for walking and it seemed less crowded in the city than it might be during the summer.
