The hotel was adequate and the location convenient for the event I attended. The price was reasonable. I appreciated the free continental breakfast. The breakfast room--an interior room without windows--is small and was crowded both days I was there. Alternate seating is in the more pleasant lobby with windows! Also at this Best Western, unlike at other BWs where I've stayed, the towels noticeably scratchy, not soft, are either old or require different laundering.

This might be the nicest hotel based right on the ocean at Ocean Beach. The staff was very helpful, the room immaculate, and the location second to none. I've stayed at a number of hotels in the area, but I won't stay anywhere but here in the future. You can't go wrong with an ocean front suite!

We needed a last min getaway for a few days to unwind and enjoy a romantic getaway. The hotel staff was awesome very friendly made us common folk feel like celebrities. Great service location and atmosphere . If your dog people you will love this hotel very pet friendly. We will be staying here again and bring our dog as well . The ac in the room was a lil uncopertive however the weather was perfect so not much use was needed. Room service food was great small portions but very tasty. Location is great have drinks on the. 9 h floor lounge and what the game from a spectacular view.

My only negative was that the room a/c wasn't turned on when we arrived and the room was REALLY stuffy. Because the room seemed stuffy there seemed to be a smell.

Great place. Except for slamming doors in the hallway, everything was wonderful.
"Fixed Things Fast"
The lobby is awesome. However, in my room, the A/C system broke down two times in one day. The engineer came in two times to fix it. It wasted my time. The engineer was very nice to give me some extra perk for my inconvenience. The manager and the receptionists were very attentive and friendly as well.
We had a wonderful stay over our short weekend trip. The hotel staff were very pleasant and accomodating. The only complaint would be that the entrance off of the main road is difficult to locate, but maybe a few more directional signs would help.

Not much to say about a business hotel that you only spent one night at. The hotel seems very clean and relatively new. The fresh cookies in the lobby were very tasty. Truly a hotel with service. Staff was super, we were there for a softball tournament. They even had softball decorations for us, and opened breakfast buffet 30 min early due to our changing schedule. Thanks again for making our stay terrific...

We really enjoyed our stay here. Even though it was a last minute decision to get a room, it was easy and the accommodations were just right. It was what we needed, a getaway that was quiet and peaceful with nice clean room and ammenities. Breakfast was very good and reasonable and very attentive staff. We have Hilton Honors but we didn't get the free […] breakfast since we had gotten such a low room rate. We've used this venue before and recommended it to our family when they come to visit. "Hilton Garden Inn was a pleasant experience"
My husband and I were very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. The morning breakfast buffet for a modest amount was extremely tasty and well worth the money. We will definitely stay here again. We also enjoyed the complimentary cookies and coffee in the evenings.

This hotel does not provide breakfast if booked through Hotels.com. The Pool area was closed all four days we were there, for exterior painting. It is located in the back of an office/shopping center, and is crowded. Parking is in the basement, with a gate covering the entrance.

Nothing bad to say about this hotel. Very clean and modern, helpful and accomodating staff, and in a quiet and upscale area. We also enjoyed the resteraunt, room service and the bar. Location was good, and in close proximity to the Safari Wild Animal Park and Julian.

"RB home away from home"
This hotel is clean, quiet and friendly with good restaurants around an excellent neighborhood. Exceptional bed comfort and nice flat screen TV and microwave and refrigerator and free internet access. Free parking and nice pool in a tucked away location. I have now twice stayed here and it keeps getting better.

"Rancho Bernardo Hilton Garden Inn"
This hotel is exceptional. Large clean quiet rooms and tucked away on a hill with several restaurants walking distance and the 15 freeway about a minute away. It was one of the best hotels in that price range that I've ever encountered. A must stay for the northern San Diego inland area.

I know that this is hard to control, but we were in a non-smoking room in a non-smoking section, and in both the rooms around us, they were smoking. The smell was very evident not only in our room, but also in the hallways. It made it very unpleasant for me since I am allergic to cigarette smoke. I hope these people were charged a cleaning fee!!!

The hotel served a great breakfast, but they have a very rigid policy for no. of members in the room. We were family of 3 (Husband, wife and a 2 year old) in a King size room. And they issued free breakfast for only one person. When asked they said, the king size room is for one person, that was kinda crazy. "Better Than Expected"
Hotel is very convenient to activities in Rancho Bernardo. It is about a half hour from San Diego. GREAT breakfast buffet for a very fair $11/person.
"Easy to get to and away from Interstate 5"
If youdon't need to be close to the coast and about a 20 minute ride out of town. This fits into your plans well.

We were at the hotel only for showering and sleeping and the rooms were quiet and found the location to be within 35 minutes from the Airport, Downtown San Diego, Coronado Island, La Jolla Shores, SeaWorld, The Zoo, the Safari Park and LEOGOLAND. But the breakfast buffet is expensive for an entire week or for a family and there are very few fast foods […] restaurants in the upscale neighborhood. 4 Adults and 2 children for 5 nights. Within 30 minutes of all San Diego sights. Well-maintained hotel with microwaves and refrigerators in room. Nice pool, great place to relax after sightseeing day. Had late dinners by the pool several nights. Great pizza and sandwiches. The staff was helpful and very friendly. Many business people during the week […] in meetings. We were gone most of the time. Hotel had a pantry to purchase snacks or microwave meals that was open 24 hr. Close to shopping and restaurants. Parking garage below hotel with elevators made it easy to load and unload the car. Buffet Breakfast available in AM for purchase. Made to order omelettes, waffles, fruit and eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, juices, oatmeal and cereals to name a few of the items. We ate here one morning and found the food and service great. We would definitely stay here again if going to San Diego or Legoland. It was about 40 minutes from Legoland. Only 15 minutes from the San Diego Wild Animal Park. Read more
