Located near the beach/Room was good/ Front desk staffs wasn't very welcoming, especially when you speak English. The food at the Bar Gym was pretty good but the size of the pool is very misleading (it's a small triangle). The great advantage to this place was that there was a tour bus stop right next to it.

Staff was a little impatient to an American like myself traveling alone. Also, the internet/power went out for a good 5 hours during my stay, the room turned into an oven. Other than that, my stay was relaxing, and fun..... Very swanky hotel in a safe area!

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Views of the Med from our room and Cityscape from the glass enclosed elevator. The staff were friendly and professional. Liked the free internet (and printer!) in the lobby. Liked the location. Breakfast was stupidly expensive though, didnt eat there so many tasty options beyond the doors. Walking distance of two […] malls (one right next door) and the beach. Walking distance also to La Sagrada Familia. Comfortable room, adequate climate control. FANTASTIC shower!!!!!! Never really sorted out the bus system and beware of the very high cab fares in Barcelona! We had a minor maintenance issue which was resolved immediately. Overall pretty pleased. Read more

I loved the Hotel Barcelona Princess. I was performing on a cruise that was leaving out of Barcelona and stayed there for one night. The staff was so nice and spoke English as well. I loved the shower!! The only problem I had with the shower was that the door didn't really shut all the way so we had some water flow out on the floor, but the rooms were […] sooo nice and the bed was very comfortable. They did not have wash clothes only larger face towels to clean yourself with, but all in all I was very satisfied and would stay there again. The hotel is close to the subway and to a shopping mall, however it is a long walk to the Old Town and the marina. No wireless in the room. The solarium and pool on the top of the building at floor 23 is very small. Everything else was ok.

very nice hotel, very easy to get to on the metro. i liked the amenities and the free wifi in the hotel lobby. if you need to feel like you're in the center of everything, this isn't the hotel for you, but I personally liked being slightly out of the way and near to the beach.

Excellent! Beautiful views of the city and ocean if you get the corner junior suite. Friendly staff, great drinks, food. The rooms were so comfortable and modern looking. My husband and I had a great time! The mall right next door was nice as well!

The hotel was nice - modern and with free wi-fi in public areas. The bathroom was roomy but the closet space was extremely minimal. The mini-bar was refilled every day and was complimentary with our room, which was really nice to have as a perk. The staff was extremely friendly - especially those servicing the rooms.

The staff here is exceptional in terms of service and friendliness. I'm very big on both of these areas and they exceeded expectations for a 4-Star hotel. The location is conveniently next door to "Diagonal Mar" a huge shopping centre with lots of eating establishments, dept. stores, grocery store, electronics, etc. It's also about a 5 minute walk […] to the beach. I should mention that the bus stop for "Barcelona Tours" is right outside of the hotel. I'd recommond this tour if you'd like to see the city. Staff is very nice and goes the extra mile in accomodating guests. They were very good about assisting me in coordinating my train trip from Barcelona to Madrid. I have to say that their English by in large was very good all the way around. The food at both the Gym Bar (near pool/gym) was great. and the downstairs restaurant near the lobby was good. The breakfast buffet was ok, but got a bit redundant after the second time. If I must nit-pick, there was a slight "odor" of what seemed to be a sewage smell outside near the port. However, the further you travel away from the hotel towards the beach, the smell goes away. All in all, an enjoyable stay with no regrets. Read more

This was the first time I didn't stay in the "old city" part of Barcelona, but down near the sea in the "new city" Vila Olympico. Although slightly longer to get the "old town" sites, there were many travel options, Tram, Metro, Bus. The hotel was great, good food choices, affordable bar drinks, and excellent front counter team!!

We were granted a room upgrade upon arrival. We were also welcomed with a bottle of wine and chocolates. Great views of the city. Is a little far away from downtown but theres a metro and a tram one block away. The shower was either too hot or too cold and wasn't fixed. What really […] upset us was the fact that on our last day, we went to have the breakfast buffet at wich we arrived at 10:25 and the cashier told us there was no problem and we could enjoy our breakfast. For our surprise, EXACTLY at 10:30, the captain (who saw us come in), without having the courtesy of telling us or the other people that had just arrived, told the waiters to remove the buffet, which they did in less than 5 minutes. After that the waiters were staring at the people that were left, making us very uncomfortable. By 10:50 we left still hungry. We complained at the front desk, and we only got a "ok, we'll check that out". Have in mind that is a 19€ breakfast. Read more

Compared to our hotel in Rome (Best Western Ambra Palace which we also found through Hotels.com) this hotel was a 5-start palace. The only downside was that laundry/ironing had to be purchased from the hotel services at what I would consider an outrageous rate. Fortunately, in the mall next door was a laundry service.

We just arrived back from Barcelona. Stayed in Barcelona Princess 4 nights in a room with a sea View ( expect 15 Euro/ day extra charge for that). Almost 5 stars hotel even by US standards. For the price It's a great bargain, next it it is the Hilton and the Marriot, huge shopping Mall, Over all very nice hotel. Good amenities, nice pool and Spa .Friendly […] service. Bit Far from The city center if you want to be there ( Catalonya square and the Rambler). But easy accessible to them through buses (#7, 41, 36)Metro, or tram ( 1.45 euro each trip or 5.80 euro Full day pass) . This hotel is nice, I would stay here again, however, it is not near the airport so be prepared. There is a bus that runs to Catalonia Square for 5.30 Euros and you can take a cab here for 14 Euros. If you ask the staff they will say take the bus and the train. Do not do this if you have any luggage. I had 2 bags and a purse. This was torture, the train […] system has many stairs and you really have to take 2 trains. The bus and taxi are fine. I would still stay here even though it is far from the airport. The hotel is beautiful and modern. Most of the staff friendly if you don't speak Spanish, some are visibly annoyed. Don't depend on them to help you find the hotel when you arrive, just know this, the hotel is one street over from the Forum train exit. After letting the staff know that our visit would be the 1st time that I had seen my husband in 6 months (he's currently deployed in Afghanistan & was beginning his R&R - we stayed there before leaving for our cruise the following day), I had expected so much more from this establishment. We were told that our room had been upgraded....glad that we […] were told...would not have noticed otherwise. Our room was uncomfortable...the bed hard, the "half" shower door left the small bathroom floor wet & the sitting room furniture was very hard...I should know...I slept on the couch because the street noise kept me awake all night (I hadn't seen my husband for 6 months & didn't even get to sleep in the same bed because we both were so irritable from the noise & the bed that I eventually just gave up & slept on that hard little couch...great way to start a very special vacation!). Would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone unless you require little sleep, enjoy uncomfortable bedding, a cramped bathroom, street noise & their shabby, outdated decor. Read more

We found this hotel to be very pleasant and reasonable. The front desk staff all spoke english and were very friendly and helpful. We were traveling with my son who is in a wheelchair and this hotel is wheelchair friendly. They offer free soda and water in the mini-fridge in the room and there is a supermarket in the mall next door to get any additional […] water and beverages. The mall next door offers many restaraunt choices. I would recommend getting a room rate that includes breakfast, it is a full buffet breakfast in their main dining room and is wonderful. The only draw back to this hotel was that the beds are very small, however this is common in Europe. Their version of a "king size" bed is what we would call a "full" or "queen" at best. Their beds also roll very easily since the floor is tile, so make sure the breaks are on on the bed wheels. Otherwise it is a wonderful hotel. Near the beach and park, across from the convention center and next door to a huge mall. Read more
