Save yourself money don't take a taxi, it will cost you 70 euros from the airport. Best Western Blu is well located. Close to bus and train for central Rome, and only a few minutes walk from a modern air conditioned shopping centre And town square with a number of smaller family restaurants on hand. The hutel is comfortable and offers free off street parking.

This hotel worked out just fine for our fou day stay in Rome. Room was adequate and the breakfast tasty enough. Though it is on the outskirts of Rome it was easy to gain access to transportation to all the tourist spots. Just cross the street and a short walk to the left for the bus stop will get you a ride (take 409 or 545) to the Metro station (Tiburtina) […] which puts you on the blue line for stops/attractions. The tickets for the bus and Metro can be obtained from the front desk for 1.5 Euros. They are good for the bus ride and for gaining one time access inside the Metro system as long as both can be done within 50 minutes. Once inside the Metro you can ride to your hearts content or in otherwords ride until you get the right train to the right stop). A word to the wise....make sure you validate the ticket once you step inside the bus....their will be a yellow box in the front or back side of the bus to feed your ticket into...as there is a fine for riding with an unvalidated tiket....rarely saw the locals doing this but they may have had different passes. Once at Tiburtina you can take the train also but for our short stay we did not try this. I would recommend taking one of the Hop on - Hop off tours for 20 Euros (or more) each to start your Rome experience to get your eyefull of what attractions are available. Catch these outside of the Termini Metro station. Get off the Metro and catch the 409 bus back to the hotel..4th stop...have fun. Read more

A bad experience indeed, the guys at the front desk are very poor in english which makes the communication a struggle, i have reserved a smoking room, but once i arrived they said that smoking is prohibited in all rooms, to reach the center of rome (the colleso) you have to take first a bus then the metro which makes getting there a long journey, unlike […] the Prague best western which was truly a very comfortable choice and people there spoke english although it's not there mother language. Nice, clean place to stay away from the crowds. Convenient for enjoying Rome neighborhoods outside the historical area. Free parking; good breakfast; free internet. Located near subway station...advertised as a 10-minute walk, but it's more like 15 minutes, walking quickly on a busy street. The subway is the way to travel in Rome, though.

The staff was really helpfull, the day before I arrived at the hotel I call them to see how much is suppose to be the price for the taxi they gave me an average rate and tell me the alternative transportation I can get, the train to Tributina Station and then the bus 409 to the hotel (approx 3 min). The room was very nice for it's cost. The bed was actually a queen size bed (rather than two doubles together) at least for the room we got. Staff were nice. The neighborhood had good local stores to buy water, fresh fruit & cheese. No rip off like the city center.

the hotel is perfect nice, clean, has parking spots, but it does not have anything a tourist will be interested in a walking distance, (you need to walk about 50-60 min to the touristic area of the city, cab is around 15 euro from city center to the hotel)

Everything is great about the hotel for the price you pay. Only trouble we had was finding it on the first day, we got pretty lost. If you don't plan on taking the taxi, make SURE you either call the hotel to ask for specific directions, or speak Italian well enough to get through to the RUDE bus drivers of Rome (WHAT a difference compared to northern […] europe). Very clean and spacious room, but not of a 4-star quality. Tea/coffee tray on request from reception was a bonus. Bus tour groups having breakfast/leaving in the early hours of the morning disturbed us a couple of nights. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Small rooms, cold (it was winter) where the tiles of the floor (no carpets) made colder. Small rooms with a worn-out look furniture. Its location is pretty far away from Rome's nice spots. Only a basic breakfast.

We had a great time.. Staff was very kind and helpfull, excellent breakfast.. The distance to the metro station is between 10 and 15 min walk (it depends on your pace) or you can get a bus (409) in front of the hotel that brings you there.. From the metro in max 10 minutes you are at all main atttractions. There is also a night bus that stops almost […] in front of the hotel. Some people mentioned before that it was not a nice neighbourhood. Well it is not beautiful indeed, it is a suburb area but it is reasonably safe and the people around were very friendly. Of course you always have to pay attention to the pickpockets in crowded areas. Also if you are a woman try to avoid taking very busy buses, some guys are really sick minded, and that is not only because it is Rome, I would take this advice everywhere anyway. Only minor thing that I have to complain about the hotel is that at the booking it said we would get a 3 twin bed room, and we got a 2 twin bed with an extra small one. I didn't make a big deal out of it as we arrived very late and were very tired. Probably if I had said something they probably would have changed it.. We loved, Rome. The hotel was a little out of the way in the south end but was good for us as we were heading to the Amalfi cost after our stay in Rome. The hotel was clean, rooms were comfortable and roomy. We could get downtown Rome by taxi(13 euros) or by metro. Both were easy and the metro took us right to the collesium.

Oppholdet i Roma var kjempe flott, utenom hotellet.. Det var dårlig frokost, rommet var grei standard, men ikke noe mer en det. Det var langt unna sentrum. Når vi sjekket ut måtte vi betale 3 euro pr person per natt i skatt , noe vi ikke hadde bitt opplyst om.

Das Hotelservice war gut, Personal sehr freundlich, Frühstück in Orndung, Zimmer sehr sauber aber etwas klein, am Sonntag war das Restaurant leider geschlossen und in der Umgebung gibt es sehr wenig Möglichkeiten gut zu essen. U- Bahn und Zug in ca 10 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen, die Umgebung ist etwas schäbig.
