Sea of Cortez Beach Club - San Carlos

Service was great, all needs and requests met. Staff was very helpful, although limited, checked in late Friday night and was out early morning. Enjoyed the weekend there and did not have much concern, security at gate 24 hours. Room was very clean and the pool was well kept.

Lots of construction going on. They should not rent the rooms that are close to the construction. You wont wake up to the sound of the ocean......only the sound of power saws.

This is not a hotel, is a beach club, no maid service included in the price. No beach, but the pool at very peaceful, warm and family. It has a functional kitchen. Very friendly personal. I do recommend it.

The staff was very accommodating. They were having record cold temps and they brought a space heater to our room plus at our table for dinner. It is a lovely hotel with a wonderful view of the sea of Cortez. They have thought of every convenience in the rooms.

Nice! The kitchen is most useful. The only drawback is that it's 5km outside of town. Easy by car, but if someone didn't arrive by car it wouldn't be easy access to town.

We came down from Tucson for a three day fishing trip and it was my second time in San Carlos and it was just and easy and enjoyable as the first. The drive is very easy, one road the whole way down abd when we got to the hotel the employee at the front desk helped me out because I had booked a one bedroom with a king and a pull out couch and he gave […] me a one bedroom woth two full beds which was more comfortable.San Carlos was super relaxing and quiet and we went fishing on a fishing charter with Gary's dive shop and had a blast. We caught about 50 fish in 4 hours and they cleaned them right on the boat while heading back to the dock and gave us as much as we wanted to take back home...and fyi you are allowed to cross fish and seafood back into the US without incident. Super clean hotel and.super friendly and helpful staff...other hotels in the area just do not see and clean or friendly snd charge double the price. Room are exclent with there little kitchen and updated appliances. The one bedroom had two flat screen HD tvs one in the living room and one in the bedroom...but i highly suggest you dont watch tv and head out to the pool and sand area of the hotel and relax looking at one of the best views in San Carlos. Great room with awesome view of Sea of Cortez. Staff was nice. Rooms were clean and roomy. There was some construction as they were still upgrading it. Bring mask and snorkel if you go.

Excellent as always! Forced to stay in San Carlos only for 3 nights while working in Hermosillo. Could only make it there to sleep and left at sunrise but the night view and air was refreshing. And sunrise on the balcony was peacefull every day.

It's on the beach, great pool, just a short drive to the Soogy Peso Bar and beach sports and to many San Carlos restaurants. Beautiful Mountains meet the ocean. Its inexpensive, but the best place to stay at any price.

This was our first time to San Carlos and we will definatly be back! The hotel was super clean and the room was huge and awesome (studio) nice pool and bar area! The beach is rocky however it has beautiful underwater reef with copious amounts marine life to see! Not bad at all. Couple of thing though. Parking completely sucks!!!!! It has a beach in front of it but all rocks no sand. They just do the bed and throw trash away thy dont change bed sheets. Last thing checkout is at 10 in the morning which sucks even more!!!

I've been at many of the San Carlos Hotels and I really like this one. Well located, clean and very family oriented with the posibility of cooking our own meals. The Con was that it doesn't have a beach directly off the hotel, you have to walk over some rocks to get to the beach, so bring water shoes.

We were here for 2 nights and loved it. The rooms are comfortable and have a two burner stove, microwave and full size fridge if you don't want to eat out. All of the rooms overlook the pool and sea of Cortez. There is beach acces from the hotel (rock beach, not sand) and the most popular beach in San Carlos (algodones) is just a couple min driving […] down the road. While this hotel isn't in the heart of San Carlos, it is north of town (about 5 min drive) it felt very private while we were there. The front desk girl Vanessa was extremely helpful helping us find restaraunts, jet ski rentals and anything else we wanted to do. The room was clean and the AC worked well (kind of loud, but fine). I liked that rooms have a small kitchenette with all the implements. Personnel were kind and helpful. They have free dvd movies for you to watch. Free WiFi. Make sure to ask the maintenace person to heat the jaccuzzi water at least 30 mins. before you get in it. This is a very comfortable and relaxing hotel. I'd love to go back.

The Sea of Cortez Beach Club (previously the Premier Vacation Club) exceeded most of our expectations. The staff was VERY friendly and we thought the location was beautiful. We had a two room suite which was really a one room suite with an adjacent hotel room. Both rooms had their own bathrooms/ fully stocked kitchens/ eating areas and balconies so […] we were very happy with the room. We drove from Tucson, so we had our own car and that made it much more convenient to drive into town to pick up groceries, etc. When we DIDN'T want to drive, Lidio the taxi driver was always there to take us to and from wherever we wanted to go. If you snorkel, some of the best snorkeling is right in front of the hotel, and a beautiful beach is only a few hundred yards away and easy to walk to. The only complain we had was the price of their mixed drinks. During happy hour (and it's ONLY one hour) they advertise 2 for 1 drinks, but will serve you a 'double' which is really only the size of any other places normal drink. The first evening we were there we missed happy hour and I ordered a margarita that came in the tiniest glass I'd ever seen...we joked about how it was gone in 3 sips...and it was. It cost $58 pesos! (about $5.50 U.S.) During 'happy hour' they serve it in a typical margarita glass and call it a double, then they charge you the same $58 pesos. SO...needlessly to say, we for the most part mixed our own drinks in our room. Read more

When we booked our room we were not aware of the construction going on to upgrade the pool and spa. Even though the reservation was non-refundable, Arturo and Alejandro at the front desk said we could cancel and get our money back. We decided to stay and they upgraded us to a one bedroom suite instead of the studio we booked. They have a little restaurant […] and bar on site and the staff were excellent. The supervisor was Marco, our waiters were Rene and David. The kitchen staff consisted of Cesar, Julia, and Lupita. The entire staff made our short trip worth it and we plan to return again.
