We stayed two nights, in the third floor English Suite, which was surprisingly spacious with both a bath/shower and a 2-person jetted tub. The bed was comfortable, the rooms pleasantly decorated, and both of the breakfasts we had were delicious. The cereal provided was a nice mix (for those who like healthy cereals), and the hosts were very friendly […] and accommodating. We enjoyed the free wine during the social hour, and the convenience of the location for walking to everything. As others have reported, finding the parking lot was a challenge initially, but there is enough room to drop off luggage and load up when leaving the B&B so not really a problem at all once you get familiar with the area. Very cute b&b, ideal location to walk around all of St. Augustine's main downtown area / St. George Street etc. We happened to choose the smaller room, Catalina but for one night it was just fine. I'd get a larger room if staying longer.

Great location. Close enough to everything to walk. Highly recommend the trolley's 3 day pass for getting around and hearing some good stories and history. The only downside to this hotel is the distance that you have to park the car. Overall, this place is very nice, friendly and quiet. Highly recommend!

Great B&B, do recommend this place indeed. The only issue maybe that the inn is old and you can hear the neighbors upstairs and next door. Great air-conditioning. A great place for a long weekend getaway in St Augustine. It's location is perfect for exploring the old town and for the many wonderful little restaurants that are tucked away in the town. the room was clean and comfortable, employees were friendly. it was nice and quiet. we stayed in the Montejurro suite. you do have to walk two blocks for parking, which is scarce there in st augustine. it is worth it though to stay downtown and experience everything the city has to offer.

Casa de Solana is smack in the middle of it all. As I had read in previous reviews, some complained about the parking situation. It's not an issue. I parked, and never used my car again til the morning we left. Please take note that check in is at 3:00pm. This can be annoying to the cranky early birds, but if you're laid back, you'll be able to start […] adventuring sooner than later. The room we stayed in (Catalina's) was cozy and comfortable. All modern amenities in an otherwise historic home. The AC works great. In case it's still not cold enough for you (we had ours set to about 70) there is an additional electric fan tucked away in the closet. Service and stay was absolutely fantastic. From here you are within comfortable walking distance to ALL of old town. It looks bigger on the map than it actually is. POI - historic homes section, scarlet o'harras (amazing pulled pork), indigenous art (inside the indoor mall off st george), graces gallery, Castillo de San Marco, flagler college, and of course the cathedral basilica. Comfortable b&b. Parking was offsite about a 10 minute walk away. Some hotels charge $20/ night for parking here. This was free. Stayed in the Mary Mitchell room. Some rooms were in an annexe next to the main house. Our room had guests in the room above, but we did not hear them. So I would not stay in the Mary Mitchell room again for that reason. My wife liked the breakfast each day- one day a small omelet with bacon, another a cinnamon pastry. No one showed for the social hour- meet the guests-the first day so we didn't go on day 2. First of all, the parking is horrible. There is a lot with a few reserved spaces about three blocks away, down one-way streets. It took us 45 minutes to drive from the hotel to the parking lot -- one wrong turn and you have to drive around the whole city again because of all of the narrow one-way streets. The hotel has a nice little courtyard that looks […] relaxing up until you realize that it is swarming with mosquitoes. The room itself was tiny. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, but there was no incentive to stick around during the day. I had hoped to relax and work on some writing projects, but there was no desk or other place to comfortably sit and work on a laptop computer. The complimentary coffee was nice. The included breakfast was nothing but carbs, which I can't eat. The location of the hotel in terms of walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and attractions is excellent. Ultimately we ended up leaving a day early because St. Augustine does not offer much beyond what we've experienced in other Florida cities (Key West in particular), and there was no place for us to just sit comfortably and relax. We actually found the drive home more relaxing than our stay in St. Augustine. I really wish this hotel had been more accommodating for vacationers, and more understanding of our early exit. I wasted a lot of non-refundable money on a third night at Casa de Solana. I will never stay at this hotel again, should I visit St. Augustine in the future. Read more

The staff was courteous and helpful. Our room seemed to have paper thin walls as we heard every noise that our next door neighbor's made (they were not the noisy type). Additionally, the parking situation is very inconvenient. The parking is located blocks away from the hotel.

We were very satisfied with the room and the location, however the bathroom leaves something to be desired. It was small and the shower was overhead with the controls on the back wall. We had to stand under cold water till it ran warm. For the price I expected a little more.

I have been to St Augustine before but I was always on the outskirts. This is in walking distance of everything. A quaint room that was very clean and comfortable. Morning breakfast was delicious and evening happy hour relaxing. Another perk they share a parking lot with another hotel so no hassels with parking.

I do not have enough great things to say about this B&B. It was charming, beautiful, and quaint. The staff was very helpful and kind. The location was perfect with everything in walking distance, but far enough away that the night life wouldn't keep you up all night. I would totally recommend it.

B and B staff were very friendly. It is located in the heart of the historic district along the street where there are several local artist's galleries. It was quite a find. Home made breakfast was delicious and the dining room was very well stocked with coffee, juices, pastries, cereals in addition to the hot breakfast.

The B&B was delightful and right in the center of everything you want to see while in St. Augustine. The only thing I can honestly say was not superior was the quality of the breakfast and the loading/unloading area when you check in and check out. The breakfast the first day was what appeared to be premade pancakes with canned apples on the top and […] a quarter of a piece of sausage patty. Not what you would expect when every other detail at the Casa de Solana was so well appointed. The second morning we actually skipped breakfast and went right around the corner to the charming French bakery which was nice. The service was good, really only saw the person at check in and was on our own the rest of the time, which I certainly prefer. They offered a wine and cheese hour but we were out and about and missed it both nights. The room was beautiful, we stayed in the Confederate Room, in the morning you could hear the folks in the dining room quite loudly but we were already awake so it really was not a problem. you could hear the other neighbors at times as well but everyone was pretty well behaved so it was not a problem. The loading and unloading area is a small one spot space among very narrow roads. Unfortunately upon check in and check out someone was blocking the spot for long periods. I would certainly return to the Casa de Solana and recommend it without a doubt, just be prepared to find your own breakfast fare or enjoy theirs, just don't expect it to be homemade. Read more
