The only complaint I have is that I thought we were getting a second room that had two queen size beds or at least double, but they were only twins and also it listed a queen size sofa bed but the one we rented didn't have that option. We ended up getting a roll-a-way bed, which are never very comfortable. So when bringing a family of 6, sleeping accommodations are important to be clear about. Otherwise, everything else was perfect.

"Fantastic Fall Break"
Our condo was 301A, a one bedroom at the far end of the building, furthest away from the mountain view and "in the trees." The bathroom consisted of a shower tub combo with a sliding glass door. I'm not the tallest person, and it felt like the walls of the deep soaking tub made me extra cautious getting in and out. The sink was also ~30" wide; I think it's worth noting that it's hard to "share" sink space and/or bathroom space if you're both prepping at the same time. There was a nice entry hall table where I could put my makeup bag. Obviously if you're going to ski, maybe this isn't that big of a deal. However, if you're going to enjoy nightlight and need to primp and find a landing pad for your makeup bag(s), the hall table comes in handy. But, there's no hanging mirror in the hall, so bring your travel one. My only other suggestion for the unit is that there's not a lot of storage space in the closet for clothes that you don't need to hang. A 5 drawer dresser would have been perfect for the closet--which is huge and could easily handle the extra furniture. We made use of the few shelves without any real issues. The unit had a great kitchen; it would suit basic and moderate menus. Basic supplies like dish detergent and laundry detergent were supplied, plus a laundry basket. Shuttle service was great, but we enjoyed walking the trail to the gondola too. Bring a flashlight if you plan on walking late at night. Staff were always friendly.

"Great Stay at Bear Creek Lodge"
Had a great time! Very clean and in a beautiful setting. Was there for a wedding and G.M. Kieffer was absolutely wonderful in assuring that we had everything we needed for the rehearsal dinner in the lobby. There is a heated outdoor pool and spa, indoor spa and sauna, coffee in the lobby. The only thing I would change (and it is minor) is that the kitchen be a little better supplied with things like mixing bowls, cookie sheet and so on. Absolutely a minor deal. Resort has courtesy car to take you to the market and the gondola - which is free. Once we parked our car we hardly used it. So easy to get around. Big shout out to Keiffer and his great staff for making this an enjoyable stay for myself and family.

"Our stay"
Our room was wonderful, quiet and comfortable, but outside walkways were not very clean and parking was horrible. There was some painting being done on the outside of the building and the equipment took a lot of room in the parking lot. We were not told that we would not have daily service in our room. Had to discover that on our own. There are no restaurants nearby and they do not provide shuttle service to town or mountain village. A stay during the week might be better, but the weekend was not the best time to be there.

First time staying here. For a condo it was not well furnished in terms of the kitchen. OK if you don't want to cook. Had to go through the fitness room to get to the unit. Otherwise it was very nice. Shuttle would take you and pick you up from the gondola and a couple of other spots which made the location ok given the distance to town. Probably an excellent location in winter for ski accessibility.

"Great condo, good location, some upgrades needed."
Overall great condo and good location. It met all of our needs. However the individual owners of our unit (311) need to upgrade the mattresses. The mattresses were unsatisfactory. The master bed was so wiggly it was like sleeping on a boat. The pull out couch mattress was TERRIBLE! The springs could be felt protruding from the mattress. The mgt company should mandate this since your competitors are making this a priority. Also the equipment in the fitness room is outdated and in disrepair.

"Anniversary Retreat"
My husband and I chose to stay at the Bear Creek Lodge for our 6 year wedding anniversary. Because of the more private location and the reasonable rates, we chose this lodge over others. After easily granting us an early check-in, we discovered a spacious, one-bedroom condo that was warm, comfortable, and inviting. The shuttle service was prompt and easy to use, although we soon discovered that walking to the gondola and to Mountain Village is just as easy. The only downside was that there were several families using the pool and hot tubs throughout our stay, and our room was in the midst of all of the noise. When I forgot a dress in the bedroom closet, staff searched for it and sent it back promptly. Overall, we had a fabulous stay and can't wait to stay again!

Here for family vacation with her daughters. Room was clean and roomy with very nice kitchen. The service was excellent, we had an issue in the condo that they took care of immediately. Loved the staff. Parking was very difficult, not enough for the number of rooms. The beds were also very uncomfortable. The king bed in the room was lumpy and very soft. The pullout bed for our daughters was very uncomfortable and sagged to the middle. These areas would need to be improved for us to stay again.

"Extra friendly staff and great location"
While not in the core of Mountain Village, the shuttle service made it extremely easy to get anywhere we needed to go. The staff at Bear Creek Lodge were extra special and were very helpful during our stay. We had a family of 4 and got a 1 bedroom. The living and kitchen areas were well sized, but for 4 people (kids of both genders) I think we will go with a 2 bdrm next time. The funicular was great to take you right to the lower part of village bypass off of the lift 4 run where you can ski down to the bottom. We liked the ping pong table and the work out facilities on site. We had a great time here.

Bear creek lodge is an old building but still very good. The rooms are larger than other condos. It is a ski in ski out facility if the funicular works. They have a great shuttle system. The staff is helpful but the rooms don't get cleaned everyday which is not unusual for a ski condo. Our condo had a full kitchen which was great with kids. For the area this condo is priced the best. "Terrific Vacation Location"
My husband and I just celebrated our 1 year anniversary in Telluride and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bear Creek Lodge! Our 1 bedroom condo was very clean, spacious and more than we could have hoped for with a full sized kitchen, washer/dryer, jetted tub, comfy king sized bed and fireplace. The lodge itself has quite the array of fun amenities too including a heated pool, 3 hot tubs, sauna, fitness room with play area for the kiddos, complimentary coffee and cookies as well as DVD's that you can check out. It is also conveniently located within walking distance to the local grocery store and free gondolas. If you would rather not walk, they also have free shuttle service. We would both highly recommend the Bear Creek Lodge to anyone vacationing in the Telluride area!!! :-)

My husband and I were very excited when we walked into our room. It was more then we expected and was one of the nicest place we've every stayed at. It wasn't just a room it was a condo, fully furnished with everything we need from a fully furnished kitchen, comfortable furniture, amazing jetted tub, fireplace, and a beautiful view! We are planning on returning every Fall and we'll invite friends and family to join us next time. The staff was amazing, if we needed something they were on it. It's worth every penny we paid. "Horrible Bed"
Stayed at the Bear Creek Lodge for three nights late in September. we love Telluride, but it can get very pricey fast, so we were happy to find the lodge, which was rated well, for a good price. That being said, we were a little wary due to it being a timeshare, we have had awful experiences with them in the past. Check in went well, staff was pleasing and quick to point out amenities and town highlights. First impression of the room was good, relatively clean, nice layout, large kitchen set up for six, even though you could not sleep more than four. The king bed was very hard and was like sleeping on springs. Every slight movement sent the bed bouncing making for absolutely horrible sleeping conditions. The pillows were terrible as well. Small, flat, no loft and lumpy were there was stuffing. They are the type that costs $5 but have been used for many years. The three nights there were some of the worst sleeping I have had in a long time. Additionally there was an old cloth chair in the living room which was worn out and smelled. I did not go near it. I gave an overall terrible rating because I use a room for primarily sleeping, which was elusive here.

"Fantastic place to stay in Teluride."
Everything was wonderful, facilities, pools, parking, the suite we stayed in was awesome, fully featured, and extremely clean. The only thing that I can think of to gripe about is the mattresses were very soft and we like firm matresses so they weren't comfortable to us but that's not surprising. Everything else was fantastic and very reasonably priced.

My wife and I stayed here in October. The hotel was nearly shut down and vacant, but we loved it. The hotel itself is in a great location and is just minutes away from the free gondola. Also, there are some pretty good views from the rooms. The one bedroom setup was huge and kitchen/living room area were great. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The kitchen had every utensil or appliance you would need to cook a meal. The only thing missing was a grill, but it was no big deal. All in all, we loved this hotel and plan on coming back next October.

Bear Creek Lodge was a fabulous place to stay for our annual visit to Telluride. The condo was beautiful, the staff extremely friendly and accommodating and they did a great job shuttling us and our three kids to and from the gondola. The pool and hot tubs were a hit with the kids and it was nice to have a front desk to help with reservations, activities etc.

We stayed in unit #211. Very nice unit with a well equipped kitchen. Larger than expected. Bathroom is a small but has a fantastic shower. The unit was very clean, and had a super comfortable bed. The ability to pre-order groceries and have them stocked before we arrived was a huge plus. Free shuttle to the Mountain Village main square.

"Great for a family ski vacation"

We stayed at Bear Creek Lodge eight years ago with out 2 sons and had fond memories of both Bear Creek Lodge and Telluride. With great anticipation, we returned for a one week trip along with our 2 now teenage sons and a foreign exchange student. The accommodations were well equipped and spacious. We rented a 2 bedroom unit and I think the next time we come we will opt for a 3 bedroom, as the boys are getting to big for twin beds. The boys enjoyed the pool and hot tub. It is very convenient. There was always someone available to drive us to the town lift and to the grocery store, although the boys definitely preferred taking the fernicular, which provides great access to the slopes. Overall, it was convenient, clean and the staff were both friendly and accommodating. The one thing I would change is that the mattress in the master bedroom was too soft and my husband and I found it a little less comfortable than we remembered. It may be that we are 8 years older ot that the mattress was 8 years older ;) In any event, this is a great place to stay. Very beautiful.

"Elegant, Spacious Accommodations but Service could be improved"
01/10/16 Stacie H New Bedford, Massachusetts
I had read about and planned to love the Bear Creek Lodge. We all did and felt very spoiled by the décor and spaciousness of the condo. Overall, it was a great choice for us and our extended family. The Condos are modular, so can be combined to form larger units. We had a three bedroom unit, so it was three bedroom and three (really beautiful, large) bathrooms. All the rooms had double beds, and the sofa was a sleeper, which we did not use. The living room was cozy and comfortable, and we loved the gas fireplace. It was a very relaxing place! The price for the high season hovered around $1,200 a night, so not cheap (that price includes all taxes, etc.) Ski racks outside the lobby are convenient. Just grab your skis and walk to the funicular, which takes you right to one of the hills! More good things: Kitchen appliances all stainless and nice, with a stocked kitchen (plenty of bowls, utensils, coffee makers, etc.). We took advantage of the hot tub and pool in the evenings, and my teenage daughter had a fabulous in-house massage with Yolana (she was wonderful!). So given all the wonderful things about Bear Creek, the only thing that disappointed was the service. We arrived weary after a many-hour snowy drive. No one was available to help us with our luggage (10 pieces, so we needed help!). We arrived at 3, so admittedly an hour short of check-in, yet it was December 24th so it seemed like a high season staff ought to be expected. To compensate, we were swiftly assisted by Kiefer, the General Manager, a genial man who did not accept a tip....first impressions matter so I would suggest there always be someone to greet travelers and offer to assist with belongings, direct them to parking, etc. Redemptive to the staff is that someone was always available when we called the front desk to ask for a ride on the shuttle that runs throughout Mountain Village and the town of Telluride. We did not ever have to wait very long at the grocery store, for example, which is the nearest shop to Bear Creek Lodge.... Now that we know the area, we may choose to stay in Mountain Village again but perhaps at one of nearby condos with their own parking spots such as Tristan. Tips: Restaurants we loved: Black Iron Kitchen (Madeleine Hotel in Mountain Village) and La Marmotte (town of Telluride)

"As Comfortable as Home with A Much Better View"
10/15/15 Bertie2020 Scottsdale, Arizona
We stayed on the top floor in a 3 bedroom condo, there were 7 of us ages 6 to 66. All aspects of this condo were welcoming and accommodating to a large group. The Family/great room has a automatic fireplace, big screen TV and comfortable seating, throws and footstools that are easy to move around to accommodate larger groups and family time. The kitchen/dinning area has a large granite table that can seat 8 to 10 people. The kitchen is well laid out so more than one person can help with meals. There is a shallow pantry that allows you to see easily what you have on hand, as well as appliances, dishes, pans and utensils to use for everything you may want to cook. The foyer has abundant hooks, great for hanging up stuff when you enter. The balcony has the most amazing view and a table and two chairs. We couldn't get enough of the view. The master bedroom is large with an on-suite bath, vaulted ceiling, 2 closets, desk, and two reading chairs with lamp. The other bedroom upstairs was also on-suite and was roomy. There was even another closet in the hallway. No shortage of storage space in this roomy condo. With a large group it is nice to have places to put everything out of sight. The amenities of the property include free shuttle service to and from the gondola, no need to use your car, a game room for kids, heated pool and hot tubs, fitness room, and fire pit. We could have used more trash bags, but seriously that was the only thing we can suggest for improvement. You can't go wrong on this condo or property. We loved it and will return.

"Very happy with our extended weekend"
10/01/15 Roberta R Florissant, Colorado
Our condo at Bear Creek Lodge was beautiful, clean and quiet with all the amenities we needed (including hot tubs, heated pool, reliable wi-fi, etc…) Everything worked as it should and there were enough towels, pillows, sheets and blankets for everyone. Their on-line pictures matched the reality exactly and the price was very reasonable. The lodge offered a van ride to the ski area right down the road (a plus for one of our guests experiencing knee problems) where was the post office, full grocery store and Ski Gondola that would take you to the town of Telluride. The town of Telluride and it's surrounding area was another reason that Bear Creek Lodge was worth the money. Every person (of 6) who stayed at BCL this weekend said they would definitely come back to stay again at a future date.
