I only stayed here one night, but this would be a great place to bring a family, and stay for several days. The 2-bedroom condo was clean and comfortable, loved the gas fireplace, comfortable bed, and the kitchen was handy. Access to the units is a little inconvenient -- lots of steps to go up and down, especially if you're on the back side. But the location is great, just outside Banff, and just a 3 minute drive to Canmore.

The room was spacious and comfortable with a sitting space in addition to the bed. The hotel is within easy walking distance of shopping, restaurants, etc. Only complaints: 1) Early wake up call not received as requested for first morning (good thing I was up already) 2) Very noisy kids running in the hallway the first night 3) Radio came on early on second morning (I did not set it) I would stay here again.

Our stay was very pleasant an comfortable, and all of the staff were amazing. We had the best time in the bar with our sever who we made cry as she was laughing soo hard!! The menue was exquisite and our server, Julia, treated us like royalty! Our favourite dessert was some frozen cheese cake balls, twice!!! "To die for" is all I can say about that. I would highly recommend staying there as you are only minutes from Banff.

Even though our stay at the Copperstone Resort was short, we had a great time visiting with friends in the area. We had all the conveniences of home in this great 'condo-like' accommodation and we so enjoyed the mountain views and fresh mountain air. Because of its nearness to Canmore and Banff, we were able to enjoy a fabulous mountain weekend retreat! The staff were super friendly and always had a smile for us. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a break from busy city life! I'll be back for sure . . .
Location.
Situated in Banff, Banff Rocky Mountain Resort is close to Banff National Park Information Centre, Mount Norquay Ski Resort, and Cave and Basin National Historic Site. Also nearby are Banff Lake Louise Tourism Bureau and Banff Centre.

"WIFI"
I called the hotel when I made the reservation and they informed me that the previous wifi problem had been solved. When I arrived, the in room wifi could connect but was so slow that it was unusable. The manager said that the wifi had been upgraded and worked well on his phone. But, the wfi access stopped from the room and was even slow in the lobby. […] One day the wifi did not work anywhere but I suspect they were upgrading the system. During the last 24 hours, the wifi was OK in the lobby but still unacceptable in the room. For two days we had to go to McDonalds in Banff to access the Internet. I trade stocks and there is daily maintenance of the account if one wants to succeed. But, the staff were so nice. I could tell that they were empathetic but the solution was out of their hands. "A nice place for a night away!"
This is a nice place to stay. I stayed in a room that was awaiting renovation. It was clean and cosy. The staff were friendly and helpful. I didnt realise that i could have brought food and things as they was a full kitchen and bbq's available to use. I sugguest to take things from the kitchen and have a great bbq there. "Great Deal!"
When I arrived I was upgraded from the smallest room they have to one of the 1 bedroom condos "due to availability". I didn't really care because I never plan on spending my vacations in the hotel. My dislikes: (1)Weird wifi situation. The speed of the secured wifi lan I was given a pw for was abysmal. However there was an unsecured access point nearby […] that worked great. I'm not sure who it belonged to but it was using the exact same network. (2)You can hear the people walking above you a little more than usual. (3)If you're wanting to get somewhere quickly in Banff, then it's too far to walk/bike. That's really all the cons I could come up with. I will definitely be staying again. I've read some of the bad reviews given to this place, and it's pretty obvious that those people have some slightly unrealistic expectations. "Banff Rocky Mountain Resort"
The room was big,comfortable and clean. The only problem was the wifi. They were working on it but it seemed to go out after it rained. There was a wired modem for a laptop but we only had iPhones. Overall, a very comfortable hotel. Nice gym with a hot tub and small indoor pool.

Awesome Resort!! My boyfriend and i loved the room and the nice quiet surroundings, beautiful in summer for those romantic strolls which we took quiet a few would be amazing in winter ! We cant wait to return here ! bed was comfy , internet connection was good and the lounge/kitchen was really spacious the bathroom was awesome too and the convenience […] of being able to park our car so close to our room was a bonus for the late night drives for coffee!! The groundhogs / gophers were rly cute and quite friendly were not a problem at all also being the first time to have seen them i was pretty amazed how calm they are with people around them so close , also the pool is located close enough to any of the rooms. We were very disappointed with this hotel. First of all, these are mostly 4-8 unit condos, separate from the main building. The units are very dated and in disrepair. "Great room, but stale smoke smell"
We would have LOVED our stay at the Banff Rocky Mountain Resort IF our "non-smoking" room hadn't reeked of stale cigarette smoke. The facilities are nice and we were very comfortable. The hotel staff at the front desk were helpful and friendly.

"Great clean hotel, great location"
We were very happy with our stay. The most important thing to us in a hotel is cleanliness and our room was very clean. We had a newly renovated room, so I'm not sure what the other rooms would be like, but in the past the others rooms were clean. Can't beat the location: surrounded by mountains, literally minutes from downtown Banff.

This place isn't fancy, but it was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. It was very convenient having direct access to the outside without having to go through hotel hallways and elevators, and having parking so close to our room. "Overall very nice"
We got 1 bedroom unit and it was really small but didn't bother us at all because we spent our time outside. The pull out sofa was terrible to sleep on but we got some blankets and other covers to put on, so in the end of the day wasn't that bad. The rooms were very clean and so was the swimming pool. "Comfortable stay with good"
This was our second stay here in the past six months. The room rate is a good value for the area. The complex has a nice pool with change room. It is a short drive to downtown Banff or to see the sights. Very quiet, so our family got a good night sleep.

Everything about our stay was good, but we only stayed overnight. Unfortunately there was one problem with the room we stayed in (room 1011) all night we could hear what sounded like a knocking and pinging noise coming from the ceiling. Probably a issue with the plumbing. When I checked out I told the person at the front desk and even recorded the […] sound for him to hear. All I got was an apology and a thanks for letting them know and they would have someone check it out. I wasn't expecting a free stay, but some sort of compensation for a somewhat annoying sleeping experience might have been appropriate. "Food and Pet Friendly Room"
The resort pub was overpriced and the food was nothing that you wouldn't be able to get at Denny's. I noted that the side dishes for the meals were actually minute rice from the grocery store and they charged extra for it!!! The room was nice and private however it was a pet friendly and I noted that it was falling apart. The couch in the room was […] very uncomfortable and hard to sit on for a long period of time. To rent a movie on the Lodgenet was$15.99!! And the internet was extremely slow. Great service! Everyone was so kind and very accommodating. Even though the resort is slightly run down and could use a major face lift it was kept clean. Room meant for four people should be for two - way too small - had no room to open suitcases etc. Location is on the edge of town which gives you that mountain wilderness feel.

This is the second time I have stayed here, this time was a personal retreat to relax, sleep, and rejuvenate. The resort is off the beaten path and very quiet, which is exactly what I was looking for. I made use of the pool and outdoor hot tub every day. The food at the resort is very, very good, I had the best clubhouse sandwich I have ever had from […] the the pub (via room service), and I am a foodie. The only problem was that the WiFi was non-existant. It just didn't work. The staff assures me that they are working on improving it, but do not expect it to work. On this trip for me it was actually good to be "off the grid" I really love this resort, so relaxing and you get the real feeling that you are "away". I will, and do, recommend it to my freinds. "Remote area"
A pretty walk to banff which could be a good thing and a bad thing. The good is that it is very quiet and very close to nature, but the downside is that it's far from all the shopping areas and other civilization. The staff was very nice and had large smiles. Good price, good room, great staff. Plus the outdoor hot tub is a nice touch.

We were looking for a weekend getaway with fireplace and hot tub, and ended up at this family resort. First impression was good, nice people, ok room though dated. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tubs, these were the best part of our stay. When we wanted to use the fireplace in the room, we were told that we had to buy the wood. Great stay, the room was comfortable, well thought out and clean. "Great place to stay if you have pets"
This was our first time staying here and was really happy with our place. We stayed in a 1 bedroom Condo with full kitchen. Our room had some recent upgrades such as bathroom and bedroom but the TV and living area was really dated and could be upgraded. We were upgraded to a suite. The suite was great, we found that the people above us were extremely noisy, banging and stumping. Our room wasn't done when we got back from hiking at 3:30. The food was good and we enjoy going to this hotel often.
"its a perfect ge away"
this hotel is a perfect get away, nice & quite. Its only 5 minutes driving to banff downtown. The room is nice, the pool & the hot tub is perfect. The only thing i complained about , there was lots of hair in my bed sheets. But i definetely will stay in this resort again for the price i paid.
