This is a good choice if North Vancouver is your destination. Lots of shopping and eating in the market below the hotel, which is also where the parking is located. The more upscale and higher priced rooms get you further out towards the water, which can be worth it in terms of quiet and view.

Location.
Situated in Richmond, La Quinta Inn Vancouver Airport is close to Aberdeen Centre, Richmond Centre Mall, and Richmond Olympic Oval. Additional area attractions include Kwan Yin International Buddhist Temple and Riverport Sports and Entertainment Complex.

"2 nights in Vancouver."
Hotel was very clean and new. Hotel is in middle of Chinatown so you won't see many chain restaurants or food other than very traditional Asian.
Great value for the location with breakfast which included making your own hot waffles! There is a small fitness center, indoor pool and jacuzzi great for kids and families plus free internet.

I really liked the hotel. It is probably about time to update the bedding in the room I stayed in. It was clean, just seen better days. The staff was very friendly and found the hotel had more to offer than I noticed on the listing.

"It was ok"
This hotel was far more expensive than other LaQuintas and wasn't as close to the airport as it sounds, it's actually in Richmond. There was NO FREE SHUTTLE when my plane arrived and it was an expensive taxi ride, so make sure if you're expecting the free shuttle that it is running and you might have to book it 24 hours in advance. Also the 'free' internet […] in my room didn't work and they wanted me to bring my computer down to them to show me how to connect... it wasn't that i didn't know how, the thing was saying, "intitiating" over and over again for over 10 minutes before i even called down to the desk. It was late and i was in my PJ's, at least send someone to my room instead of telling me to bring my computer down! Two of the reasons i chose this hotel, the free airport shuttle and the free internet to get some work done in my room, didn't happen! The vending machine didn't work either! At least they sold bottled water at the front desk. They only offer shampoo in the rooms now, no conditioner so be prepared for that cut as well. Also it was chilly and there was hardly anything you could call a blanket on the bed, so i had to turn the heat on which dried out the room. Otherwise, ok it was clean, thank you for that! Read more

Was upset that front desk mistankinly called my room at 2:30am for wake up service meaning to call room next to me. At 5 am the room next to me alarm clock went off for over 40 mns. I called front desk to have someone call amd ask to turn off. When no one answered I called back again to have someone go check for themselves and knock and if no one answered […] to turn it off; she said they can not do that. So I had no sleep at all that night and no discount etc. I had to travel all day without a good nights sleep. Dissappointed. Read more

Staff was curteous and efficient. The location was great for us to visit locations in Vancouver and south; we liked the easy walk to restaurants and the proximity to nearby shpping..

Staff was very acommodating and helpful helping me with choices of restaurants nearby and making sure everything was in order for me get to the airport in a timely manner to make 6:00 am flight. I was travelling with a firearm and they made sure I had plenty of time to clear all red tape!

Front desk Goldie very nice person and helpfull, i was asking for direction and she was leaving the hotel for the day, she actually came back to help out...She is absolutely good customer service..thank you.
"La Qunta Inn Vancouver Airport"
The hotel and room were a good value for the rate we paid. The staff were competent and helpful. However, our van was broken into by smashing a side window and we would recommend only parking close to the hotel entrance and in a lighted spot, which ours wasn't. Our loss exceeded $500 includng the broken window, so thyis stay was not a success.

Highly recommended good hotel for the price, near restaurants, good service, good free breakfast and courtesy shuttle bus just remember to call @ the phone booth where all courtesy bus is located to avoid long wait like we did. Overall points 5/5.

I stayed at this hotel with my two boys, aged 10 and 12. We were very happy with the value for the money and the cleanliness of the hotel. The hotel includes a free breakfast with make-your-own waffles from batter, cereals, egg, sausage, bagels and muffins. Also included is free WiFi, a small indoor swimming pool, hot tub and airport shuttle service. […] Since our flight was not leaving until late the next day, the hotel stored our luggage, and we were able to go out during the day and come back to use the lobby TV and WiFi in the main lobby. The hotel is located about 10 minutes from the Vancouver airport and about 25 minutes from downtown Vancouver and is inside the Asian district. The hotel was well maintained, the neigbourhood was clean and there were several Vietnamese, Thai and Japanese restaurants within walking distance. While I did not fly to Vancouver, I did have business in downtown […] Vancouver and found the drive quite acceptable. La Quinta is a nice small hotels in the heart of Richmond. It is within walking distance to many excellent Chinese restaurants. The room is clean and it is definitely great value for the price. Will definitely stay there again in my future visit to Richmond.

Nice hotel. Location is in close proximity to the airport and shopping. Not alot of variety in the surrounding area, very little choice for food.

Location - close to shops, mall and restaurants. Check in - Friendly service, polite housekeeper. Good breakfast - make it yourself fresh waffles, good selection of cereal, bagel, refreshments. Room/Hotel - clean Overall, great experience. One con: Bed was too soft, for anyone who sleeps on a firm mattress will wake up a bit uncomfortable.

"It a great stay"
Good Breakfast!
Everything is good, very clean, maintain well, good breakfast, convenient location and price is reasonable. The bed is a little too soft--people may like it but people with back problem may get worse for the back problem. Front staff is friendly but need to be more knowleageable about other services in the town.

The employees were friendly and helpful. We received the room we requested and it was clean and comfortable. However we had to minor problems in that there isn't enough parking at this location so we had some difficulty the first day but were able to resolve it. Also, on Saturday, alot of people showed up for the breakfast and although I arrived about […] 5 minutes of the serving time, most of the hot food was already taken and was not replenished soon enough for us to take advantage of it. The next morning everything was perfect. The site manager was very helpful when we requested information about food delivery from local restaurants. She supplied us with menus and received our food in a timely manner, she even called the delivery person when we missed the delivery by just a few minutes. Read more

Hotel was decent. Based on the above average reviews, I had high expectations but the hotel itself was only OK - probably suitable for its star rating. Interior was dated and the water in the pool/jacuzzi was not very warm but overall, was a decent hotel - breakfast was included and there were multiple choices.

"Great place to stay."
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is close to a shopping center and an easy walk to the "Sky Train" station. With a day pass, we enjoyed exploring much of Vancouver from here. However, be aware that the airport shuttle does not include early morning flights. We had to hire a taxi to get to the airport. "One more horrendous place to live"
This hotels has no concept of Quality. Staff are not at all friendly. Worst is their laundry. Stay away from it. It is very expensive and their dryer time is deliberately set to 30 minutes so that people to have pay more. Every where the USD to CAD was 1 and here they pay you only .95. Breakfast is such a mayhem and you need to keep begging for more […] food, water and they don't replenish on time. There are no shops around the vicinity. All you see some Vietnamese restaurants. For the amount of money you spend, this is a fantastic accomodation. It is clean and the location is great. The continental breakfast is the best in Richmond as far as I know. I quite enjoyed making my own waffles!

"Another good visit"
This hotel has excellent asian resturants within walking distance; is close to mall shopping, using Road 3 and Road 4, provides access to Richmond and Vancouver and as an 'airport hotel' provides a shuttle for air travelers. The rooms are very clean as is all the hotel, the staff is friendly and informative, and a good breakfast is included.

"Right under flight path."
The hotel is located in a very convenient spot for restaurants, but not so much for shopping. Overall a very excellent value with very good service from staff. Two complaints. The hotel is right under flight path and very close to airport, so expect the noise from flights will be VERY loud. The continental breakfast is free for a good reason; I'd rather […] eat out. "Met my expectation"
This hotel is relatively new (about 3 years old). It's clean, and service is good. My only complaint is the location. It's a little far from downtown and it's surronded by chineese restaurants. (nothing against that if you love chineese food).

We stayed one night in this hotel, because we wanted to stay outside of Downtown Vancouver and close to the Vancouver International Airport. We woke up late and rushed to the beakfast room to find it being cleared exactly at 9:00 disregarding a few peple that were still arriving and even though we were there 2 minutes before 9:00 am some breakfast items were gone and staff will not replenish. "Very Convenient for our purpose"
We have a 102 year old mother at a Care Center in Richmond and it is very convenient to this location. It is close to Malls and eating areas place. The rooms are clean and well furnished and the bathrooms are very roomy and not overly cluttered. The Continental breakfast has assortment of choices and the eating area is open and people friendly.
