Just got back last night. Beach is great, pools are great, food quality and selection are very good and we did not experience waiting times for any of the several restaurants. Buffet was good but the restaurants are better. Hotel staff are always very pleasant and eager to please. Gym is well equipped. Hotel building is very nice Really no negatives. But being finicky, we think the white wines need an upgrade and it would be cool if either the extra cost lobster or prime steak dinners, which are excellent, should be included at least once in a stay. Definitely go and enjoy !

Stayed for 8 nights, great experience overall. Right after check in, this women tried to push us to take some class about the hotel and in return get discounts and stuff, how about a no. I think they did that with everyone too. We booked a room with 2 beds and terrace (not worth it, get the balcony instead, you just get recliner beds and the rooms are all on the side end of the building, not center view at all). The bathroom looked awesome, bathtub, glass door to the shower, light up mirror and vanity mirror. The problem is, THERE IS NO VENTILATION IN THE BATHROOMS or if there was, I could not find a switch for it at all. House keeper came 2x a day. For any extra charges (wine, massage, starbucks, room service) they only take credit card or pesos, NO USD CASH Food was great, fantastic buffet, really friendly staff, by the 3rd day, they knew us by name. We ate mostly at the buffet, tried out the restaurants, just wasn't our style. Will say that a some of the meat was slow roasted which we weren't into. There's a lot of seafood, sashimi, fruit, seafood salads, salad bar, fruit, huge selection of desserts, all very very good. The outdoor grill is also great, ate there every day as well. Drinks are good, wide selection Scenery is fantastic, especially from the pools, the design of the outside just blends into the ocean, very nice. Lots and lots of recliners, a few cabanas

Went to Live Aqua with 7 of my friends and really had a great time. Wonderful rooms, very friendly staff, the pool is outstanding, and the food was amazing. I have no bad things to say. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

We just spent the weekend at Live Aqua and couldn't be happier with our decision. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and very accommodating, the grounds were gorgeous. A great place to go if you're looking for relaxation. The food was AMAZING, especially at Azul and Varenna. The beach was cleaned every morning and the staff writes a message out of seaweed on the beach every morning - pretty cool. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is in a good location. It is only about two miles from all the clubs and bars. It also has a really nice mall right across the street. The hotel staff went above and beyond.

I really loved the outdoor grill they had everyday!!! The restaurants actually had decent food even though it was all inclusive and top shelf alcohol. I drank Don Julio reposado and Grey Goose the whole time without having to upgrade. They have different daily activities you can enjoy.

We had a wonderful time at Live Aqua! Thank you David, our beach waiter, who really made our whole week. David was not only a fabulous waiter but helped us navigate the bus schedules and our excursions away from the hotel with great details on how to get around cancun via bus. We really enjoyed the food at the hidden garden and our waiter, Louis, was exceptional. We also were delightfully indulged by the chef, Javier, at Seven. He prepared a special authentic meal for us that was exceptional! Oswaldo, our waiter at Seven, treated us like queens and kings, indulging us with desert every evening! the breakfast atSeven was the very best. The lunch around the pool was exceptional. The beds were very comfortable and all of the rooms offer an ocean view. We had a wonderful time and will be back!

We're happy with our stay in Cancun. Azure restaurant is our pick for the best view, ambiance, service and most of all food (both presentation and taste). Breakfast is plentiful and fresh. Staff of the hotel are amazing. Not only they're friendly but also very helpful and happy to interact with guests. Major suggestions: move Starbuck out of the corner of the gift shop to the lobby and also the piano man to this location to give it a warmth and welcome that we can appreciate.: give more lights to the computer room. We're struggling in the dark.

The service is fabulous if you are in a suite. Housekeeping leaves a bit to be desired. They don't clean the rooms until late in the afternoon. The food is mediocre for dinner but breakfast and lunch is great. Love the foot massages on the beach at the cabanas. The spa is wonderful. The place is very relaxing.

Food service could not have been more accomodating. We had a party of 12 and every restaurant tried to get us either together or at least side by side. They even did a dinner in the suite for all of us our last night that was incredible!

We spent 4 nights during the second week of Dec 2014 at Live Aqua Cancun and were happy with almost everything - beach, pools, lodging, food and drinks, and services. But the real highlight was dinning at MB - gourmet taste and presentation, with food prepared to order. Also, if you are not a tub bath fan, you can skip the aromatherapy feature for the room. We even disconected the device in our room because the odor was too intense.

Live Aqua is one of the best all-inclusive hotels in Cancun. It has great facilities, amazing food and very helpful staff. I completely enjoyed my 5 days stay there and would recommend to any adult couple looking for wonderful hotel in Cancun. They have very good beach facilities, however the only downside is that sea is rough in the area and you can't swim far into the water.

My wife and I celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary at Live Aqua. We spent 4 days and were treated royally. Dining was an experience which we would never forget. The Chefs presented their dishes professionally and with finesse and shared personal moments with us at the dining table. From the moment we entered the dining areas we were greeted with warmth and provided with outstanding services. Our requests were always addressed with smiling faces and truly humble yet professional attendants. I cannot think of a moment that we were bored or had a reason to be upset. Our room was spotlessly cleaned promptly every day and the maids and their supervisors made a routine check at night to ensure that we had all the supplies we needed.The amenities and resources provided were more than adequate . We opted to upgrade and were very satisfied. The view from the room on the sixth was fantastic . At the poolside we got the same warm greetings and very friendly services. Food was again excellent and varied. The beach areas were remarkably groomed and drawings and messages were creatively crafted in the sand using the seaweed that washed up on the shore. The coffee shop and the smoothie stations were a plus and the aroma therapy throughout the hotel had a soothing and calmness which lends to true relaxation

As our private transfer pulled up to LIVE AQUA we were whisked to the VIP LOUNGE for check-in and refreshments. The staff throughout the facility were beyond exceptional and friendly. As an Expedia Gold Member we were upgraded to an OCEANFRONT SUITE and each and every night housekeeping tastefully decorated the room with Holiday Wishes and a romantic Bath filled with rose petals and candles. The food was abundant-creative and delicious. Our favorite being The Hidden Garden, a Thai/Asian themed restaurant. In all there are no less than six restaurants, a club and several bars. The all inclusive and ASULT ONLY atmosphere has always been a favorite while on vacation. The property is maintained to perfection and we were happy to have chosen LIVE AQUA again this year.

This was our first time at Live Aqua and we would definitively go back. The property is well maintained, clean and modern. The grounds, pools and beaches are beautiful. The hotel was 90% occupied, but it never felt crowded. Room size was generous. We had a garden view (basic room) and intended to upgrade, but didn't feel we had to once in the room. Bathroom was a nice size (except limited counter space) and well appointed. Beds are very comfortable. We truly enjoyed the food from all of the restaurants. I'm always skeptical of food at an all-inclusive, but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality, consistency and uniqueness. Our favorites were the Hidden Garden and Azur. Restaurants range from modern to quaint, some tucked away among gardens and trees. Staff was very attentive, accommodating and professional. Service in restaurants and bars was great. There were a few times at the outdoor bars where you felt unnoticed, but to be fair, the bartenders are managing a lot of drink orders at one time, so we didn't mind; tips help. Drinks were pretty good. Mixed drinks at an all-inclusive never taste quite right to us, here is no exception. We stuck with beer and tequila (which tasted full strength). They offered a nice selection of premium wines, as well. Nightlife on site was limited, but there are shuttles to clubs around Cancun. We wanted a low-key, adult get-way, and this place was perfect.

This was the first time I visited an adults only resort, my husband and two kids (29 & 25). What a bonus to have the peaceful atmosphere espcially for Christmas time. The hotel was about 65% of capacity for the time we were there. The staff goes out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay. The restaurants were never too busy and the selection was adequate. The alcohol was free flowing and nice selections. Food was nicely presented and very good. They also are attempting to accommodate vegan and vegetarian diets. Very relaxing and would certainly consider going back.

I stayed for a week over Thanksgiving in 2014. The room was small but clean. The staff was amazing in every single aspect. David at breakfast and Ignacio at Thai were standouts. For an all-inclusive, the food was outstanding. The pool and beach were never overcrowded, with the beach being beautiful and ocean water just perfect. The staff came by frequently for drinks and the burgers and bbq at the pool every day was so convenient and yummy. We had 3 massages and the spa is well worth the cost. It's sooo relaxing with the sauna, steam, spa and relaxation room. The therapists were very knowledgable and the massages were world-class. We took walks almost every day on the beach and you can easily walk in either direction for an hour and feel safe. I have never reviewed a hotel before but this was top of class. I've stayed in four seasons and ritz's around the world. The Live Aqua sits amongst the best of all. It was truly a top of class vacation that I will remember for my life. Thank you Live Aqua.

MY WIFE AND I WENT TO CANCUN AND PLAYA DEL CARMEN FOR THE FIRST TIME. THE LIVE AQUA RESORT IN CANCUN HAD A WELL TRAINED VERY FRIENDLY STAFF THAT WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE US FEEL WELCOMED. AT CHECK IN THEY OFFERED US AN UPGRADE IF WE SO DESIRED. WE UPGRADED TO AN OCEAN FRONT SUITE WITH A PICTURE PERFECT VIEW OF THE OCEAN, WE COULD EVEN SEE CRUISE SHIPS AT NIGHT OUT IN THE DISTANCE HEADED FOR COZUMEL. THE HOTEL HAS SOME 20-30 CABANAS TO RENT BY THE POOL OR BEACH WITH A WONDERFUL FOOT MASSAGE INCLUDED. HOTEL STAFF WERE PLENTIFUL AND OFFERED PINA COLADAS OR DRINKS ALL DAY LONG. BEACH AREA VERY NICE WITH LOTS OF WHITE SAND, WELL CARED FOR. SPA WAS THE BEST I HAD EVER BEEN-----UPON ENTRY I WAS GREETED BY A PERSONAL GUIDE WHO TOOK ME TO THE SAUNA, HOT TUB, MASSAGE AREA, SHOWERS, ETC.------THE 5-7 RESTAURANTS ARE ALL THERE TO OFFER A WIDE VARIETY OF FOOD, COFFEES, PASTRIES, ETC DAY OR NIGHT. SEVERAL WAITERS WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE OUR DINNER EXPERIENCES VERY EXCELLENT. We had an oceanfront room on the 8th floor with club lounge access. The room: The rooms are pretty basic, not like the expansive suites you get at for example the excellene playa mujeres. They are like a room at the westin. The bath was quite small and the shower had limited flow. This is not a complaint as the view was amazing and the room suited our needs. But just don't expect five star accomodations. The staff: Universally polite and genuinely friendly. We even asked to see the manager at the Hidden Garden restaurant to compliment our waiter for his demeanor and service. To me, being treated with politeness and friendliness is a large part of the enjoyment of a resort vacation, and we were not disappointed. A couple of time we ran into people attempting to up-sell us (non-inclusive wines, a timeshare tour) but I forgive that as they are just doing their job and we were not pressured when we declined. The food: For an all-inclusive, the food can't be beat. Every restaurant had some dishes that we would have been satisfied paying a significant amount of money to get at a regular restaurant. Good diversity of food as well. At the MB restaurant - the espresso martini and the steak. At the Aqua restaurant - the salmon and the veal. At the Hidden Garden - the chicken yakitori appetizer and the dumplings. The lounge: Some people here say it is not worth the price, but we loved having access to the lounge, the premium drinks, and the really tasty appetizers and desserts.

We stayed in the garden view. It was smelly from the trees of garden though in our hotel room. We loved everything until this omelette-making guy gave us unpleasant sign by shaking his head and not putting everything what we ordered. Those cooks in the buffet place are not fluent in English, so it gave us hard time when it comes to ordering food. Other than that, we loved staying there.

My wife and I chose to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary in Cancun. After reviewing the reviews for Live Aqua, we booked our reservation. We were pampered beyond our wildest dreams and treated as if we were VIP guests. Hand massages, full body Swedish massages, chilled champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in our room, rose-petal covered bedsheets, bubble bath with candlelight and rose petals ... we had it all! To top it all off, the staff prepared a romantic anniversary dinner for us. We were totally blown away by all of the details - the path of rose petals and candles that led to our private table, the location of the table under a cabana on the beach, the romantic music, chilled champagne and A waiter that treated us like we were royalty! We definitely look forward to returning to Live Aqua!!!!

The experience at Live Aqua was amazing! This was my first time in Cancun, and I am definitely coming back. The sunrise from the hotel room was spectacular. I highly recommend an upgrade to an ocean front room. The staff was overwhelmingly nice, and did everything to make sure your needs were met. I loved the restaurants that accompanied the all inclusive deal. There were about 6 all together and had decent food. Some of it was really good, and some I can honestly say that I have had better. The sushi bar was amazing. It always nice to have good sushi on hand for a quick bite. I love the availability of food especially around the pool area. It was pretty good and had a little bit of everything from grilled chicken and pork, to hamburgers and salads. I love that there was ample seating on the beach. The bartenders made the best drinks. The staff at the pools made sure you always had a drink. I highly recommend getting a massage which included sauna, the steam room, and dips in the oversized tub. You definitely got your moneys worth with all the amenities. I also used the salon facilities to get a nail polish change for both my finger nails and toe nails. Again very, very reasonably priced and service was perfect. I also took advantage of yoga that was offered on a daily basis. There were other activities on hand like casino night and Spanish classes. All in all, a great all inclusive, adult only resort.

This was the second time we have stayed at Live Aqua and we were not disappointed. The food is excellent, each restaurant offers something different and the quality is top-notch. Every meal that we had was delicious. The room was clean, comfortable and modern. The staff is so friendly and accommodating, they treat each guest like royalty. There are 6 or so pools to choose from and the beach front is gorgeous. If you are looking for a great relaxing getaway, I highly recommend Live Aqua.

My husband and I just returned from a 10 night stay at Live Aqua. We will return at the next possible opportunity. What we loved: the service; the most friendly staff we've encountered anywhere. They seemed genuinely concerned that our every need was met. Some standouts were Fernando at Siete, Mayra at the pool, Jorge and Selene, also pool staff members and Areli, the hostess, who always remembered our difficult-to-pronounce name. The beach; wide and long with very few rocks and beautiful, white sand. The water was warm, wavy and crystal clear. And the most beautiful turquoise color...a perfect swimming beach. The pool; there are 5 and each is a slightly different temperature. The food; really good, not always great. Breakfast at Siete was outstanding. Dinner at Azur, Hidden Garden and Varenna was excellent. We did not care as much for MB. The poolside buffet was delicious, and open from 12-5. The fish tacos and quesadillas ordered from the pool or beach servers were also wonderful. The fact that there were no children; enough said. What we didn't love as much: The bed; not terrible, but not as comfortable as I'd hoped. The pool chairs; need an upgrade. Not enough padding, though they are plentiful. That's it. Not much to complain about. There was not much night life, but I knew that going in. We desperately wanted R and R in beautiful all-inclusive resort with excellent service, and that is exactly what we got. Thanks to everyone at Live Aqua. We'll be back.

This was our 3rd consecutive year to Live Aqua and the previous years we were very impressed with the service in all phases of the property. The housekeeping, Cabana and wait staff in restaurants were all extremely responsive and did a lot of 'little things' to provide an excellent experience but this year not so much. The service was spotty at best and a lot of the service folks we had come to know the past two years are no longer at Live Aqua. On the positive side, the restaurants all seem to have a menu item that was exceptional albeit limited menu choices. Our meals at Hidden Garden, Varenna's, Siete and particularly In La Kech were all excellent. We always get the Aqua Suite and we truly missed our housekeeper from last year as she always did something special for us when cleaning the room. The Cabanna service was really disappointing as we did not see the same level of service as in the past two years when Francisco was there. It's these special things that brought us back this year, not so sure about the future.

We had a very relaxing time at this resort! The food was always excellent, and the staff was very friendly. We upgraded to a suite which we weren't completely impressed with considering the price. It includes a cabana each day, but perhaps not worth the money.....needs more nightly entertainment

Great hotel located at a great location. Hotel is located right on the beach and it has nice gym and spa facility. Buffet is lack of choice but the rest of the restaurant in this hotel is pretty good, especially the steak house. The pool is amazing with a beautiful view of the ocean. Love the gazebo available for rent along with 20 mins free foot massage that comes with the rental. overall the experience is great but the only negative thing I would say is lack of activities to do in this hotel. Not much entertainment/shows provided at night for all the hotel guests who doesn't want to get drunk and pass out.

This is second time visited this hotel. when I stayed this hotel at 4 years ago, I had a great time and appreciated all employees' kindness. They treat us friend and family. but at this time, they seem to be changed(bad way). They looked tired and fake smile. I saw they talked each other pointed at us and giggle each other . I wish I have video tape that I got humiliated by few of young employee. and service was worst compared to 4 years ago.. but foods are very very good. and hotel room is clean and nice. I don't think I revisit this hotel third times..

wonderfully relaxing vacation. Upgraded to a 9th floor suite and did not regret it. Access to fifth floor lounge provided a welcome escape from some of the restaurants. Pools were pristine. Waitstaff, especially MarySol were especially kind and made sure to check and re check that we were properly hydrated. Best meals at Azure for lunch and dinner. Would absolutely recommend to a friend.

The hotel room was average even after we upgraded to ocean front. The food at MB was average at best. The staff was great. This is a spa hotel with no nightlife. There were two indoor bars with less than 150 seats combined for a hotel with 350+ rooms. Royal Hideaway in Playa Del Carmen is a superior hotel. Live Aqua is the ninth hotel I stayed at in Mexico and I would rate the 8th of 9.

Great Food and restaurants, one night we decided to stay and order room service and we ate on the balcony and listened to the crashing waves. Prime location on the beach and plenty of lounge chairs on beach and infinity pools. Attendants will bring you food and drinks from anyplace you want. I'll definitely return!
