St Francis Inn - St. Augustine

The room was nice, but a little cramped. the bathroom was very cramped, as we did not have a whirlpool tub. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The outdoor garden had a pleasant atmosphere and was picturesque. The decor was very well done, and since it was the Holidays, very festive. The breakfast was yummy!

The St. Francis is a charming B&B. The customer service is excellent, with friendly and well knowledged staff. Also the location is excellent if your interested in exploring the "Old Town" area of St. Ausgustine.

My wife and I stayed here for her birthday and our anniversary. We had never stayed at a B&B because uncertainty of being forced to chit-chat. This turned out to be a fantastic few days and we certainly will return to the St. Francis Inn and venture to other B&Bs. The St. Francis Inn is located on a quiet street within walking distance to everything. […] The included breakfasts were delightful and rivaled anything served at a fancy restaurant. We preferred to eat in the beautiful outdoor courtyard. The staff is remarkably knowledgable and friendly. On top of the fantastic hotel, the Inn has a separate facility at St Augustine beach (about a mile away) where they provide a locked and clean shower/bathroom facility, beach towels and beach chairs, and parking a few feet from the beach. As we flew to St Augustine this saved us packing heavy beach towels. Having the perfect location "in town" and our own beach facility made this a perfect vacation. This was one of out greatest finds for a getaway. Read more

Everything was perfect Our room (Wilson Suite) was better than advertised the food was great and the staff was more than accommodating. We couldn't have had a better time. Plus being one block from the trolley stop we parked our car in the private lot for the entire stay what a treat

The room description stated there was a "private bath". As Paul Harvey would say," here's the rest of the story". The bathroom was down the hall. Yes private, but not "IN" the room. I learned my lesson. You get exactly what you pay for. Otherwise the hotel was fine, but the bathroom brought the experience way down.

The St. Francis B & B was charming from beginnng to end. The room we had was all antiques and even had a small porch. The breakfast was fabulous and the afternoon snacks, cookies, tea, etc. was topped only by a social dessert time in the evening. They even have a resident cat named Zeke that roams the courtyard and beyond and welcomes the attention […] he gets for being so darn cute! This was recommended to me by friends and I will certainly continue the recommedation to others. The location was walkable to old town sites and since they provide free parking, it was convenient in that regard as well. Very friendly staff made for a wonderful experience. Read more

This is the perfect place to stay in St. Augustine! The house is beautiful and well maintained and the grounds are quaint with a lot of ambiance. It is in a great location in the middle of a very scenic neighborhood, very close to all the tourist attractions. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The always available coffee, the homemade cookies […] in the afternoon, the cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres in the evening, the sherry in the room and the full breakfast were way beyond our expectations, and all included in the room rate. Really enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porch areas, taking a morning swim in the small, walled in pool in back of the house, and eating outside in the shaded couryard. The complimentary bikes, which were always available day and night were great to get around the town and not have to worry about parking. This is the place to stay! Read more

St Francis Inn is really nice.Used the hotel address with our GPS and was easily found. Might have been hard to find without GPS in the dark. It was within walking distance to most everything we wanted to see. The breakfast was really good. We had fresh strawberry soup among other things.Yum!! Nice quiet area in the historic area of town. Our first experience with a B&B. Charming historic hotel built in 1791. (Didn't meet the ghosts!!) Wonderful staff were helpful with tourist suggestions and local restaurants. Bistro de Leon was exceptional. Breakfast was delicious. Social hour drinks, appetizers and nightly dessert went above our expectations. Coffee, tea, fruit water and hot chocolate […] available at all hours. Room decorated nicely and was clean. Fireplace helped keep us warm on the chilly nights. The only negatives were the small bathroom and small sink area. However, you have to keep in mind that the house was built in 1791 and just wonder what the room would have been used for then. Charm vs. minor inconvenience for two nights and charm wins for me! We had the Courtyard room which means we had a private entrance from the garden area with lovely plants, tables and a small pond/fountain. Bikes are available from the Inn but it was chilly and rainy and we didn't get to use them. I'd love to go back as one day in St. Augustine isn't enough to fully explore the area. Read more

What a lovely place to stay! Wonderful amenities, blocks from the main section of old St. Augustine. B&B has a great court yard, and is an old home from the 1700s. Amenities include a chef cooked breakfast, happy hour and dessert each night. Wonderful staff and cozy rooms.

We had a great time at the St. Francis. The food was great. They even had free wine, beer, and cheese and snacks in the afternoon. Coffee,water, and hot chocolate 24/7. The staff was very helpful and the Inn is very nice and well maintained. We liked the location better than the Inns in the walking/shopping district. Not as commercial feeling.

The bathroom for our room was down the hall and was really not good for us. We are a bit more private and having people walking in the hallway while you are half dressed wasn't relly for us. The bathroom was really small as well so it was really difficult to get dressed or dry off in there. The staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful.

Super beliggenhed i roligt område i den gamle historiske del af St Augustine kun et par gader fra vandet. Gåafstand til flere gode restaurenter.
