So the single most amazing thing about this house is its proximity to the French Quarter, which is more or less right outside your front door. We paid... for a normal room and got upgraded to a little suite. Most of the rooms are not actually in Lamothe House itself -- they are in new little cottages out back with aluminum siding. Still, the rooms are quiet, clean, and very comfortable (nice beds). They even have a cute little pool and Jacuzzi here! Very nice, and well worth it. by Deanah from California on 06/13/13

Clean hotel with a lot of character. Rooms were very comfortable (and well air-conditioned). I was worried this location might be too far for the French Quarter but it's just a stroll down Decatur, or a couple blocks away for Frenchman Street. Great location - would definitely stay here again.

We visited during Spring Break for a 3 night stay. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Parking was convenient. Room was relatively quiet. What a location! Less than 5 minutes walk from the best jazz clubs in New Orleans, on Frenchmen Street. Also a 5 minute walk to French Market or the trolley to downtown. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The place is right around the corner from Frenchman and borders the French Quarter. The room was recently remodeled and very nice. The only problem was our room did not have a chair or desk or any other place to sit besides the bed.
