the room was crowded with three beds. the air conditioning died in the middle of the night. the motorcycles outside created a din. not a place we'd like to revisit.

We travel a lot and I was very disappointed with this hotel and the service. We had our 9 month old son with us and had requested a crib, when we got there they said the crib was broken but brought us a COT..what 9 month old can sleep in a cot?!?! Our baby does not like to sleep with us either and likes to be on his own, so it was torture getting him […] to sleep..he cried for about 4 hours straight and I went out to the front desk and complained some more he then brings me the broken crib so I used that but I just didn't sleep. We tried looking for another hotel, but everything was booked! Also, I went by all the reviews on the page, and this hotel was not close to anything! There was some nice restaurants in the area, but that is about it. Also, the bathroom had lots of hair everywhere! Completely over priced and should only be one star! Read more

The hotel was a good option, for the price, in what felt like a relatively safe neighborhood. It was about 2 blocks away from a bus stop, which made it easy to get to the main train station for day trips. Great Hotel and the best and safest location in Naples. The restuarant next door, Penelope's, is one of the best that we had in all of Italy!! On the weekends, they have a singer and musician (Ciro) that rivals Elton John and Bocelli! If you get a sea view, you can catch a sunset view of Pompeiii and Visuvius from your window, but also from just walking […] our the front door. The position of Hotel Rex is ideal: right in the middle of the most interesting sites, yet in a safe area. The staff is extremely helpful, speaks great English and responds quickly to any request. We needed a hotel in a safe area yet walking distance from the main street shoppping area, 7 minute walk for the boat port. boat ride from sorrento to Naples, great. follow the map and you will get to the hotel. The hotel had no elevator, the bus man only carried two bags, we carried the rest up the stairs. Had to leave early ar 5am next day to catch […] 7am flight. They would not call for a cab til we were downstairs but he was there in 2 minutes. hotel quoted charge for cab was not the same as the cab driver charged claiming special charge for the time of morning ,no trafic though and made it in plenty of time, Area ok for walking to shopping during day, would not recommend walking around at night, greatest pizza place very close and recommended by staff. opens @7:30 pm the best pizza in Italy, and we tried them in Venice and Sorrento. The hotel was rather convenient to find from the bus stop, and was nice being so close to the great views on the water. However, we were quite disappointed with the comfort and cleanliness of the room. Beds were rock hard (like many other beds in Europe) and the A/C rattled so loudly that we could not sleep or hold a conversations while it was on. Couldn;t have asked for a nicer location. Santa Lucia off of Partenope is a very exclusive area of Naples Bay. For the price of the room you definatley can not go wrong. Staff was very friendly and accomodating!

Ideal location to stay close to the sea. And only a 10-15 minutes walk to the center. The room is moderate with IKEA furniture. Free wi-fi in the lobby. Breakfast is poor (no kitchen at the facility)

The hotel was located in a great area, walking to attractions was easy, good food was a block away(Zio Jack was great and reasonable) and the staff was helpful. We will stay there if in Naples again.

We were a group of four friends visiting Naples for 5 days. Hotel location is quiet, safe and excellent for the Castel L'Ovo and seafront boulevard (now pedestrianised) which is busy with families during the evening promenade. Naples shopping and restaurants are nearby along and off the 'Via Toledo', a 10-15 minute walk. Metro is 20 minutes. Hotel Rex […] is small, private, pleasant, quiet, efficiently run, with friendly staff. Would recommend it highly for a short visit to vibrant and busy Naples and local historical attractions of Pompeii and Herculaneum. Read more

The hotel was really good value, it was clean and tidy and the staff were always happy to help and friendly. All the attractions were easy to get to and the water front was just outside the hotel entrance where you could see right across the bay to versuvius.

Little bit cheap typical continental breakfast. Easy to find if driving from highway. Parking is 2min away from hotel. Compared to the rest of Naples located in a good neighborhood. Walls of the room were requiring renovation. Air conditioning is kinda funny needs be to turned on from the lobby (or via service call).

I had a nice stay at the hotel. The staff is nice and helpfully. The location of the hotel is perfect to visit the seaside or the city centre by foot. Unfortunately the strees arount the hotel are a little bit noisy, but I got used to it.

décevant, terme idoine pour cet hotel qui affiche pourtant 3 étoiles, supposé jouir d'une localisation imprenable (à 2 pas de via Partenope, à 10min de Porto di Massa ou Mollobeverello points de départ ferries) mais....chambres exigues, fenêtres à demi en trompe-l'oeil et situées au RdC sans possibilité d'ouverture, promesse de lits king size qui ne […] sont en fait qu'une juxtaposition de 2 lits single (heureusement j'ai fait part de ma déception à l'arrivée...), petit déjeuner de croissants et patisseries rassies et d'un mauvais café, personnel peu hospitalier, bref ne choisissez cet hotel qu'en cas de promotion intéressante et uniquement comme pied à terre avec départ au petit matin pour les iles. Pour le même prix privilégiez un hotel à proximité via Toledo, plus central et en étage élevé avec privilège d'une vue et confort contemporain (Napolit'amo). Avis d'un Napolitain de longue haleine. chambre à libérer avant 11h (attention jour du départ) Disappointing accomodation - despite several strengths on the paper primarily consisting in attractive location near Via Partenope and then Riviera di Chiaia - narrow rooms, no windows in the bathroom and tiny window at the first floor and without sea view, with a limited possibility to open it w.o. having the feeling to be in the street, poor breakfast and light under the door all night long with persistent noise, definitely choose for a same level of price more central hotel (Napolit'amo) in the heart of the city. Ich habe zusammen mit meinem Freund eine Rundreise an der Amalfiküste gemacht und dabei vorher eine Nacht in Neapel verbracht. Die Zimmer waren sauber und groß und für 3 Sterne hat alles gepasst. Das Frühstück war super, frische Crossaints, Joghurts...alles super.
