Fantastic location for tourists, second to none in St. Petersburg. Nevsky Prospect is just steps away. Hotel itself is a little tired and rooms are a somewhat small. However, rooms are clean, staff is attentive and friendly, and breakfast is quite adequate. If one is on budget but wants a 100% location, Nevsky Grand should definitely be considered.

The location of the Nevsky Hotel Grand is fabulous! You are right in the middle of St Petersburg.....walking distance to the Hermitage, the Winter Palace, The Palace of the Spilled Blood, Navonsky Sabor, St Isaacs....etc. The staff at the hotel were friendly and accomodating. They will arrange for airport transport if requested (for a per person charge). The location of the hotel is very very good. It is in the center of Nevski Prospect where you can see most historic places by walking distance. Room was not so big. The toilet was very small. I could only eat cheese at breakfast because I do not eat pork meat. They must thing in general customer satisfaction and prepare the breakfast according to all customer's habits. For example instead of omlet with bacon, they must prepare omlet with cheese. Salami or sausages made of turkey for example.Everybody eats cheese but not everybody eats pork meat. Our room was tiny and very, very basic. To the point of being a hostel. But the location could not be better. 5 minute walk to the Hermitage. The street is just off Nevsky and populated with luxury apartments and stores. The full breakfast was great - all the basics plus some delicious creative dishes. Great crepes too. We would not recommend this hotel at this time since there are major street renovations going on right now. Very muddy. We were sad to see that there was smoking (cigarette trays) in the hallways even though the hotel is nonsmoking. Also there are deadbolts but the front staff said that all of them do not work/disabled so therefore we could not lock […] our room from inside. Fortunately nothing was taken although we locked our bags with PacSafe to the beds. There was construction going on (as mentioned above) at the street in front so we had to walk through mud and risk getting hurt by the machinery. There was only one way out of the building. The location right off Nevsky Prospekt is excellent and is within walking distance to all major sights in St. Petersburg, close to public transportation as well. The hotel has no airport shuttle, but for RR1200, they assist with pre-arrangement of a taxi from the airport to the hotel (or vice versa) […] - even by credit card. Breakfast is usually included and plentiful (especially for the budget-minded traveler). Bonus: free wireless internet in the rooms. A bargin, a great hotel couple of minutes walk from Hermitage. Its not the flashest or biggest hotel (sitting on toilet feet end up in shower) but if you are going to St Petersburg you are not going for a relaxing spa holiday you are going to be out and about in the city. Also lovely breakfast, free wi-fi and friendly helpful staff.

Great location just off Nevsky Prospekt and near to Admirality and the Hermitage. Probably about 10 minutes from the Metro. The staff were really friendly and let us check in early which was fantastic when we'd got off a overnight train. The rooms are basic but good value for St P so we were perfectly happy with them.

Very steep steps to reception. My room was noisy, no bar of tea making facility. The drinking water fountain, although reported it broken, was not repaired during my three night stay, so had to go to a different floor to get cold or hot drinking water. Location of the hotel was great, very near to Nevsky Prospekt and the most important sightseeings. One minus was that it was not that close to a metro station if you needed to go somewhere a bit farther. Rooms were simple but very clean and breakfast was nice. No minibar in the room.

I found the hotel perfectly acceptable in terms of comfort and service for it's very reasonable price - it is not in the luxury hotel category so you don't expect lots of extras. The location was perfect for getting to all the main museums and atractions. I would certainly come back to the Nevsky Grand.

This is a well situated hotel about 15 mins walking distance from the Hermitage . They serve a plentiful buffet style breakfast and the rooms are comfortable and well heated. The price of the room is very reasonable. However, there is one massive problem with this hotel which means I would not even recommend it to my worst enemy. The shower cubicle […] is the work of the devil. It is a plastic contraption from the sixties or seventies and should have gone along with the iron curtain. It has lots of bells and whistles, none of which work, and yet does not even provide a reasonable flow of water at an even temperature.To enter the cubicle there is a large step up which is difficult to do on entry and positively dangerous to do when stepping out of the shower. The cubicle is also so narrow that it is impossible to turn round and extremely difficult to soap one's back. I was so frustrated with it that on my last day I did not bother with an attempt at a shower. I apologise to anyone on the flight home for sharing a cabin with smelly me. If the hotel could rip out these death-traps and replace with a larger modern simple shower cubicle, then I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for a budget stay, but until then I warn you not to darken its door steps. 短期滞在で市内観光に歩いて回れる立地条件は良かったです。部屋は思っていたより狭かったですが、古いながらも清潔で問題ありませんでした。朝食も良かったです。ただ、時間によって団体客が一気に来るとレストランに入りきらず、待たせられたり4人掛けのテーブルに6人座らされたりとちょっと大変でした。おおむねサービスは良いように感じましたが、帰りの空港までのタクシーを前日に予約したにもかかわらず、「交通事情のため」と言われましたが30分ほど遅れてやっとタクシーが来ました。余裕を持った時間を指定しておいたのと、幸い？空港までの道は混んで居らず、思っていた時間に空港に着けたので良かったのですが、何のためにタクシーを予約したのやら？最後にやきもきさせたらたので評価を下げさせて貰いました。
