My wife and I spent the weekend away and the Hyatt Place was our first choice. We love the room setup, split between living and bed as makes for a much more "home" like experience - Most hotels are just bedrooms and nothing more. Beautiful room, very well designed lay out. Very clean, with modern décor and incredibly roomy. Comfortable bed and corner sectional couch. Service was EXCEPTIONAL! Employees were above and beyond helpful and courteous. Breakfast was very nice and on the weekends they have a signature skillet option which is an English muffin topped with egg, ham and […] cheese. Delicious! Very nice dishes and set up - Starbucks coffee. The lobby offered a 24/7 bar, coffee bar and snack bar - anything you wanted all night long. Very impressed, will definitely be back! This was for my fifth anniversary. It was well worth the price, the staff were friendly, the room was clean and spacious. I will recommend it to others. For the money this place is just fine. I however, had a problem. When I entered my room it was 88 degrees. Way to hot! I did contact the front desk and they came up and helped me get the air conditioner on to cool. But the thing would not turn off, so I alternated between freezing and being too hot every time I manually manipulated it. The front desk […] told me that some of the thermostats in the rooms don't work. So why put me in a room that has this problem if there is another room available. Staff was excellent, friendly and professional and knew the area. Shower was weak and workout facility was small and only had an old bike and two treadmills. I would usually run outside but the clerk suggested against it saying that if I did not know the area, I might end up in the wrong neighborhood and that gang activity was high close by.

When I went inside to check in, the gentleman who took my card and driver's license couldn't be bothered to stop his conversation with a female employee. When he handed everything back to me, I had no idea if I was done or not because he never acknowledged me, so finally I asked. The room itself was very nice. A nice big television, and a lot of room […] to spread out. We had a king size bed, with a couch and lounging area. The service you can receive in the hotel is a little misleading: There's a menu for food and it advises not to tip the staff, but it's not room service. You have to go and get the food downstairs yourself. The portion sizes are very, very small, so be prepared for that. The next day when we returned, our room had been cleaned (bed made, trash emptied) but we weren't given any new toilet paper. The hotel has a leaflet that states if you hang your own towels, they won't switch out new ones in order to save on water and energy. We draped our towels over the shower rail, and they still took them. I won't complain about fresh towels, but it seems that the maid service doesn't practice what the hotel over all preaches. Over-all, if the service could step it up even a little bit - give me a roll of toilet paper for goodness sake - I'd love to stay again. The room itself was really nice, and the hotel is so close to downtown and a lot of shopping. It's just a shame that the staff couldn't be more courteous and welcoming. Read more

Hotel had low occupancy on day we arrived and I asked for a quiet room away from highway. We were given a room facing the highway which was very noisy. The next morning I asked for and was given a room on the side of the hotel not facing the highway. The rooms and hotel were in need of maintenance and appeared shabby.

Hotel was great, in a weird location behind other buildings but it is in a good location and easy to get in and out of once you figure it out. Room was really nice except the AC/Heat. When I stayed here it was a very weird day. When I arried it was 75 degress by midnight it was 30. I walked in and the room was 80 degress. Has a thermostat on the wall […] but this does not control the ac/heat... There was a window unit. The AC came on quick and cooled off the room quickly. By midnight I had the heat on and the room was either 78-80 degrees of I had to turn the heat off. There was no in between. Other than that this i a great hotel. Read more

Disappointed with this hotel, especially since expecting it to be high quality for a Hyatt. Desperately needs updating in the rooms. Our AC/heat unit had a one inch gap underneath it to the outside so all the highway noise and cold air blew in all night, not to mention wide open to critters! We had a king room and the sink/mirror was open to the room […] so no privacy for your bedmate if you wanted to get up earlier than them. Also no alarm clock or info book telling about the hotel's pool, when/where breakfast was, local restaurants, etc. This hotel is right next to the highway so if you're wanting a quiet night's rest, ask for a room not facing the highway. I booked a double bed with sofa room and it was huge!! The couch is a large sectional, the living area was large and separate from the beds, it had a very nice wet bar, large flat screen, and very comfortable beds. Nice hotel, a little pricey on some things. Don't order movies from their on demand, $16.99 EACH.. friendly staff, comfy bed (even though they said it was a king sized bed and it was not) I like that its back off the road a little, saves from having a lot of traffic noise. Restaurants were close by and a nice mall next door.

We brought our youth group to this hotel. We were late arriving and they let the kids swim for an hour after it closed. They went out of their way to accommodate our large group. If we ever are in the area again we will stay in this hotel.

Hotel was great. We arrived pretty late but the front desk was prompt in meeting us and getting us checked in. Rooms were very nice and clean, bed was comfortable. The only complaint I have was that the highway was pretty loud and we were on the far side from it. Overall would recommend.

The room either doesn't have good noise insulation between floors or we had an unusually noisy group of people above our room. The noise continued for hours after we retired to the bed. Finally around 11:30 the first night and 10:30 the second night we called the front desk. The noise stopped very soon the first night, but the second night we had trouble […] reaching the front desk. I have never stayed at a hotel where someone at the front desk did not answer the phone. We called repeatedly and let the phone ring for over a minute each time.
