Riu Palace Las Americas All Inclusive - Cancun

We loved this hotel. Everyone was friendly and helpful, clean, great food, great envrionment. Can't wait to go back. We were treated like royalty!

This was a fantastic hotel in a great location right near the nightlife and shopping. The hotel was beautiful - you could tell that only top quality materials were used in its construction. Food and service were great. The staff was always smiling - service with a smile! They had a scuba diving shop on site and we enjoyed a day of scuba diving at the […] nearby Chitale Reef. We also rented a car and drove 2 hours to see the oceanfront Mayan ruins at Tulum - a must see! My only complaint was that I was charged a small fee for dialing a toll free telephone number (my cell service was not working that day). The hotel was nice and clean, but had a musty smell which could have been a resault of the the last hurricane that came throught that area. The elevators on one side of the hotel were not working when we first arrived. We were staying on the fourth floor so we had to walk up and down the stairs the entire first day of our stay. The the next day they […] had to drain the main pool empty to clean it and remained closed the whole day. The food was ok. Our room was big and beautiful and we had a awesome veiw of the pool and the Ocean. If I ever make it back to Cancun I would stay at the hotel again. Read more

We found the resort to be very clean and tidy. The service was also very friendly and quick. As with ALL the all inclusive reorts, the food isn't the best...but that is typical. The beach area was also very nice. It is not kid friendly, so this is a great place for adults. (what I mean by not kid friendly is that they don't have a pool w/ water features, […] i.e, slides etc. for the kids). The hotesl was also very close to the night life. First trip to Cancun so I don't have a basis of comparison. However, I read the reviews and based on price and quality of reviews and location decided to give this resort a try. Overall very satisfied and impressed with the hotel. It was very well maintained and had a impressive elegant lobby which enters out onto the terrace overlooking one of the […] pools and the sea, offering a elegant view. The service is amazing and for this alone I would recommend it. I also thought the food was very good for a buffet, a lot of choices. Tried several of the restaurants and was also quite pleased. In addition there is a small theater in the complex and they put on nightly entertainment which was surprisingly enjoyable. The beach is quite nice but true it is relatively small. The building does block out the sun in spots in the afternoon. Maid service was dependable. I would recommend. Read more

My 2nd trip to the RIU Palace Las Americas Cancun and it was just as great as the first in 2009. The location, attentive staff, good food and weather made for a wonderful trip. It's a first class hotel that welcomes casual vacationers. I can't wait to go back!!!

This place was excellent. Close to the night clubs. Love the service. Everyone works as hard as possible for you to feel welcome and taken care of. Great ocean views and the all inclusive is a steal. The weather was great and the hotel had lots of Great guests. Made some vacation friends and loved the drinks. Can't wait to go back.

I'd be remiss if I did not leave one. Okay, here goes...Pool needs an incredible amount of maintanence (tiles removed, diry); hotel could use a thorough cleaning (lobby couches/ chairs are filthy); lobby elevator was broken and dirty; no exhaust fan in the bathroom; BEDS ARE BEYOND UNCOMFORTABLE (and I never complain about that, or anything for that […] matter!); Food: I could write a thesis about this, but I will only say... STAY AWAY! Al la carte restaurants reservation times are at 6:45 and 8:45. If you eat at the early one then you have to wait around for 1.5 hrs to see the "pathetic" show and if you eat late then you miss the show. There is no entertainment in between. Al la carte restaurants were better than the buffett except for the steakhouse which was very poor. Beach is nice, snorkeling use is only for one hour at a time. Use of the Riu Cancun was a plus and the location was also convenient to most activities. The local bus runs every few minutes and is only 8 and 50cents peso. Not bad. Playa del carmen beaches are much nicer and we used two of the Riu resorts when we were there. (Don't go... it is a long trip and costs far more for non-locals to travel and the front desk does not tell you that). Front desk was not too accurate with a handful of things they told us, so ask multiple times different people to see if the story varies!! WE HAD A MUCH BETTER TIME AT THE MOON PALACE IN MARCH. We have stayed at the RIU Palace twice now. This time for our honeymoon and again, we loved it! It's in a perfect spot, has a gorgeous calm, clean beach and the service of the staff is wonderful! The only complaint I have about the hotel was that a few things in our room were broken.. The towel rack in the shower, the towel rack outside and the light […] in the shower.. but other than those little things, the place is beautiful, clean, the food is good, beach service (drinks) were excellent and the staff is super friendly! I read all the reviews before leaving, and upon my return, found the vast majority to very accurate. If you read them all, you'll have a good handle on what to expect. Highlights: very clean, beautiful location, friendly staff, good food, and so on. Lowlights: I just didn't care for having to make dinner reservations the first priority upon waking up […] so that I could try the different restaurants. The reviews are also accurate that most people here are newlyweds or honeymooners - which yields a tamer crowd if that is what you're looking for. Excellent all inclusive holiday for 5 days at the RIU Palace, everything posted was accurate. Restaurants are good - Japanese and mexican were excellent. Did not try the fusion as it was booked up frequently. Did the couples massage at the beachfront - very relaxing, almost fell asleep in the 50 minutes. This is our second time going back to the Riu Palace. We have been to Cancun many times but this hotel is one of the best. Since it is all inclusive you have many resturants to choice from and buffet is outstanding. We had the buffet every morning for breakfast and had a hard time chosing what to eat. They are always smiling and cheerful. We went during spring break time but this hotel does not let them party which was nice. All Riu guests can use anyone of thier sister hotels. The Riu Cancun is next to the Palace so you could go over their anytime. We did have lunch at the Cancun and it was great. The weather was a little cool making the water cold but the staff always had something going on during the day. At night they had different themes with wind tasting and food sampling in the lobby. The staff really goes out of their way to provide excellent service. Even though it is an all inclusive resort many guests do not leave any tips which is really sad to see, especially with the great service being provided.

The hotel from the outside looks very inviting and the landscaping is outstanding. Once inside the lobby you get the same feeling. The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and bi-lingual. There are only a few chairs that will get sun all day long...and if you aren't out by the pool by 5:45 AM you have missed out...unless you go down to the beach area..and even then you are moving chairs a long way to just catch some rays from the sun. Overall, I would say that it is a nice hotel if you are going there to just stay and relax, shop, or go on some excursions...but if you are going to lay by the pool or on the beach to catch some sun, there are definitely better hotels in Cancun. We had an amazing time! Clean, beautiful, awesome service and super location!!! It was this hotel or the RIU Cancun which is right next door! Glad we picked this one! For those of you under 25, probably be best to go next door. This was more the 30-50 yr old crowd that still have it in us to have a great time! The room was immaculate! We got the JR […] Suite Ocean View and worth EVERY penny! Bed was nothing to write home about but very comfortable. Super clean! The ALL INCLUSIVE part was hard to adjust to but so nice! We kept wanting to pay for things! LOL Your room is stocked with Vodka, Rum, Tequila, Pacifico Beer, Coke, Diet Coke, water bottles and 7up. When you finish them, you just simply call down to front desk and they refill your entire fridge! The buffet was delicious and a huge variety! Right when you get there, make reservations at the featured restaurants for a more private dining experience! They clean the beach in front of the hotel every hour and while your out on the beach chairs, the waiters come every 10 minutes asking if you want more drinks! All included! There is WIFI only in the lobby which was free and very useful. Your a 3 minute walk into the downtown area where there are plenty of restaurants, shopping malls and LOTS of bars and dance clubs. DONT get scared by all the awful rumors about Mexico...Cancun is like being in the US but with beautiful beaches, white sand, water temp of 85 degrees. You wont go wrong staying at this hotel!!!!! The staff was very friendly and accomodate us by giving us are all-inclusive wristbands 3 hours before check-in time. They were very friendly in explaining all the features of the hotel. The hotel next door is also a Rui hotel so you may use all the services and All-inclusive priveleges there as well. The beach was very nice. The water was a lot calmer […] in front of this hotel than the others so swimming was very pleasurable. The Buffets were a little on the upscale side but not over the top. My advice is as soon as you check into the hotel make dinner reservations for the specialty restaurants on the premises. If rest and relaxation is what you desire this is your hotel. If you are looking to head to downtown Cancun a lot this is really not the hotel to stay in. It's quite far from downtown and the cab fare is pretty expensive. Read more

For the most part I agree with one of the “Do not recommend” write ups (food is marginal, drinks lacking size, lack of sun in the winter months). For what RIU considers a 5 star resort I was expecting better food. Otherwise it is a 5 star Mexico resort. I am recommending it because you have to remember... you're in Mexico. If it was Miami Florida or […] Palm Springs, California I wouldn't recommend it because of the food. Unexpected down side: There were some kids at the resort which was a bit of a shock - we thought it was an adults only (21+) resort. We were not expecting to see families with young kids (ages 2-14). Upside: Compared to other hotels it’s worth it if you get a good price (not a huge mark up for all inclusive) because it is a smaller and much cleaner hotel (no waiting for food, drinks or access to anything). The hotel is beyond clean (they scrub the entire place daily), the staff is friendly and helpful, and it was a wonderful experience , I will be back! Food/Drink Caution: food is served 24/7 and drinks are served from 10am to 1am (the next day). The food is nice if you want something quick at any time of day or night, but be willing to leave the resort and eat at the local places if you want a quality experience. If you stay at the hotel for 3 or more days you will be sick of the food by day 3 (Breakfast and lunch buffets are always the same foods). Breakfast is by far the best meal of the day because of the authentic Mexican selections along with classic food choices. For the RIU restaurant experiences do the Japanese and Fusion (Krystal) restaurants for dinner and the Italian restaurant for Lunch - the others are worse than the buffet and a waste of time. P.S. don't drink the coffee at the buffet, get it from the machines near the elevators on most floors. The cleaner they use is a bit too strong and sticks around in the coffee pots; I was out of commission for half a day. We were very pleased with the hotel and what we got for the money we paid. The staff were always friendly and went above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The location is in walking distance to almost everything. We would go back in a heartbeat.

We just returned from 5 days at the Riu Palace Las Americas. The hotel was beautiful. It was very clean and the employees were awesome. Everyone was so nice and really wanted to make the guests happy. The food was great. We even enjoyed the buffet. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. It is close to the clubs, bars, restaurants, and shops of the Cancun hotel zone and has a city bus that comes by every few minutes in case you want to travel within the downtown (about 10 min. drive). The hotel itself is immaculate. It does smell a little musty, but that's to be expected for an ocean-front hotel. […] The service was outstanding. I never heard any employee tell a guest "no"...they always found a way to fill any request (ex. they wrapped up my leftover dessert to take up to my room after dinner, even though there were no to-go containers). Hotel excelente, com cinco ótimos restaurantes a la carte mais um buffet. Único real defeito é que só tem wifi no lobby, e mesmo assim ruim. Se isso não for essencial para sua viagem, recomendo.

Helt greit men ikke noe mer. Hotell og service kan ikke måle seg med Riu Palace Riviera Maya (Playa del Carmen). Slett service i resepsjonen. 12月に5日間滞在しました。ホテル内はとても綺麗でスタッフの方もよく掃除をされていました。ディナーは予約が必要とのことでしたのでできるか不安でしたが行きたい所は全て行くことができました。朝早めに予約するのがよいのかもしれません。ステーキやメキシコ料理などもおいしく、バッフェも種類が多く料理は色々と楽しめました。ケーキも甘そうに見えますがそうでもなく食べすぎました。しかし、日本食は想像以上にひどいもので日本食ではありませんでしたのでおすすめできません。 どこのレストランでもビーチでもすぐに飲み物を聞いてきてくださるし、ホテルの部屋でも飲み物が充実しています。 ビーチも目の前で買い物をするにしても近辺にあるので徒歩でも可能です。海を眺めながらジャグジーにも入れます。 宿泊されるのであればやはりオ […] ーシャンビューがお勧めだと思います。 初めてオールインクルーシブを利用しましたが、いつでも好きな時に好きなだけ食べ、ゆっくりでき最高の旅行となりました。 またここに宿泊できればぜひ宿泊したいです。 Read more

All inclusive à l'américaine, agréable car tout le monde est très très (trop) serviable. Mais pas plus de 2-3 jours. En fin de séjour pour bien se reposer avant de rentrer c'est parfait.

Hotel super trochę już wyeksploatowany i przydałby mu się remont, ale mimo to obsługa ,wyżywienie, wielkość pokoju na 5. Polecam kelnerzy uwijają się w niesamowitym tempie w restauracjach ,przy basenach i na plaży

Det var ett topp opphold, med topp service fra betjeningen. Ett Al Inclusive verdt hver krone. Det eneste var at det luktet i koridorene ved rommene. Luktet mugent. Om det var pågrunn av teppene der vites ikke, men det bør de gjøre noe med. all　inclusiveは楽です。食事は予約レストランを含めて、全てtryしましたが、合格点です。　ちょっと塩からいものもありますので、それは除いて。遊べるprgも充実していてOKです。部屋も大きいし、目の前は海、　本当にリラックスできますね。 それとSTAFFがFRIENDLYで機敏に動いています。従業員教育が徹底している感じです。

Passei 5 dias neste hotel maravilhoso, as instalações impressionam já na entrada com um saguão que vi até hoje em poucos lugares. Os quartos são amplos e com ambientes bem divididos, a vista das piscinas e do oceano também é colocada para se maravilhar. A ampla seleção de restaurantes também tem que ser colocada como um ótimo ponto forte do hotel. […] Além das opções o serviço em cada um deles é levado ao mais alto padrão. O Hotel se encontra relativamente próximo das atrações locais, mas ainda é recomendável o uso de um automóvel (aluguel, taxi). O serviço de lavanderia deixou a desejar em algumas ocasiões devido a problemas nos horários de recolhimento, porém a situação foi bem contornada pela administração. Recomendo o Hotel para casais e caso queira utilizar dos melhores serviços de um maravilhoso hotel, caso contrário os solteiros poderão se sentir solitários. I spent 5 days in this wonderful hotel, the facilities already impresse with a lobby that I have seen in a few places. The rooms are spacious and well divided environments, the view of the pools and the ocean is also placed to marvel. A wide selection of restaurants is also a great strength of the hotel. In addition to the options the service in each one is taken to the highest standard. The hotel is relatively close to local attractions, but it is still recommended to use a car (rental, taxi). The laundry service had some minor inconvenients on a few occasions due to problems in times of recollection, but the situation was well resolved by the administration. I recommend the hotel to couples and if you want to use the best services of a wonderful hotel, otherwise singles may feel lonely. Read more

다른 호텔은 안가봤지만 All inclusive는 거의 비슷할꺼같앙ㅅ 하지만 리우는 위치가 끝내줘요 치첸잇샤등 투어갈때 모이는 장소도 가깝고 아울렛도 가깝고 버스정류장도가깝고 코코봉고등 기타 술집도 가깝구요 ㅎ 밥도 맛있고 서비스도대박 ㅋㅋㅋ 전망도 끝내줘요 방청소는 신기하게 방만 비우고 나갔다오면 깨끗하게되어있어요 하루에 여러번 치워줘요 다시 칸쿤에가도 전 리우팰리스로 갈꺼같아욯ㅎ 강추 ㅋ

Passei uma semana de Lua-de-Mel - Bodas de Prata, 25 anos de casamento. Foi tudo muito bom. Apesar de baixa temporada, todas as dependências do Hotel estavam funcionando, e de forma excelente. Desde o atendimento no Check-in ao Check-out, só tenho elogios quanto a atenção dos funcionários, a limpeza em geral do hotel, a qualidade da piscina e os belos […] bares e restaurantes. I had a 5 nights stay with my fiance and we absolutely loved this hotel, it´s nice, the staff is really great, we liked all the food a lot (even though some people keep on saying the food taste terrible, we think it´s really good, and that they´re just being picky!). It´s close to Cocobongo and the main clubs, right in front of this really good travel […] agency that I really recomend for its good discounts (Alvaro tours). So it´s a great option for couples and people looking for some fun (you actually have activities all day long around the pool if you wanna join them), the pool bar can get full of drunk people around 5pm so keep that in mind! アメリカ人に大人気です。 前半はフィエスタに後半はここにとまりました。 マイナス点はジャグジースイートを予約したのに、工事で一日入れなかったこと。差額は、結構もらえましたが。 あと、水が若干くさい。飲み水は常に補給されるので問題ありませんでした。 あと、日本のホテルに比べると隅々まで目が届いていないかんじ。でもこれはどこでも一緒かな。 よかった点は、チップなしでもきちんとみんな働いてくれる。特にレストランは、みなさんきびきび働いていて好印象でした。ビーチサイドでねていてもすぐカクテルの注文とか取りに来てくれる。なんといってもオールインクルーシブル。プール内のバーとかは、いいですねぇ！ こちらのプールのほうが活気があって、イベントなどもあり楽しかったです（参加はしませんでした）。海もきれい […] ですし。チェックインのとき、ホテルの宿泊者である目印のプラスチックリングをして、チェックアウトのときにきるのですが、チェックイン３時にもかかわらず、その日の昼食、チェックアウトのときもその日の昼食がついてきて、得した気分でした。 夜のレストランは初日は予約はとれません。その日のうちに、メキシコとブラジル料理をとりました。まぁまぁおいしかったです。ブラジル料理は肉の塊を目の前で切り取ってもらえるもので、嫁はここのターキーを３個もたべてました。３泊だととれないところもありました。日本食はまずいらしいのでとりませんでした。でもブッフェがすごくおいしくてこれが一番うまかったかも。。 夜のショーも、なかなか良く、ブロードウエイです。ここもカクテルを大量にのみながら楽しめました。（注文をしょっちゅうとりにくる） 間違いなく太ります。 ３日でも常に満腹ほろよいでした。 日本人スタッフはまったくいません。 だからといって、まったく困ることもなく、なかなか良かったです。 フィエスタとは徒歩圏内です。 二つにわけて大正解。 みなさんも、分割宿泊いかがですか（笑） Read more
