The rooms were small yet adequate as we only slept there. The breakfast included in the price was brilliant, so much choice and so much better than some expensive hotels we've stayed in previously. The area was a bit dodgy though and not great late at night. It's a short walk though to two main stations (U and S bahn). Enjoyed our stay!

Ok hotel for a fair price. Small bathroom.

We had a private 2 person room with a private bathroom. The price was awesome and included breakfast (didn't get to have breakfast though, due to an early flight- later saw that they had an early bird breakfast available). The room was a decent size and very clean. The bathroom was tiny!! I don't know how they fit a toilet, shower, and sink in that small of an area. Towels and sheets were included in our room. We were not able to check in before 4pm, but were able to store our luggage. Wi-Fi was not included in the price, but could be paid for. There were a lot of wild 16-22 year olds running around the place. The room did not have air conditioning, so we opened the window and all we heard all night were kids talking and yelling outside- very loud.

This combo hotel/hostel is a good value in fairly decent location. Although not within walking distance to the major sites, it is within walking distance to the east train station and not too far from U-bahn & S-bahn stops. This is a value hotel & hostel, so don't expect luxury, but the rooms were clean and had all the necessities. Overall a good deal for the money. The location was fairly safe, just use common sense and you'll be fine. There was a odd commune of younger hippie types living in a building down the street, but they don't seem to bother anyone.

As always when booking a hotel, I am forever hoping that the stay will be bearable and that it will be easily accessible. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the Berlin Ostbahnhof, one of the main train stations in Berlin. The breakfast was also really good, you could basically eat as much as you wanted and there was a great selection of things to choose from. Other hotels I had stayed in before just basically offered a bread roll and some jam, so I was very impressed with the choices here. The staff on reception are really nice and speak good english, from what I heard. I speak German so it wasn't a problem. The breakfast staff who were all wing-wahs were however rude and I found them quite unpleasant but you don't need to take any notice to them! The room was very clean but quite small, ok for me alone, but it was in fact a room for 2 people and it could be a bit cramped. It was ensuite, but the toilet is right in front of the bathroom door, which means that you couldn't sit on the toilet comfortably if you had the door closed. The location is safe. In general regarding cleanliness, breakfast area and availabilty to the S-bahn and price (which are the most important things) it was a very good deal. The bar was also ok, but got quite busy and the bar staff werent the best, but in general ok and the prices are quite cheap.

Our family room was comfortable and clean. Hotel was a little bit of a walk from the train station.

This is a hostel, and I hadnt researched this when making a booking. Consequently, was taken aback when I saw that the (small) size of the room, the even smaller bathroom, etc. However, given that we were there for one night, it was good value of money considering the hostel's proximity to a U-Bahn station, and the breakfast-inclusive rates. Pros: 1. Proximity to a U-Bahn station (Heinrich-Heine Str). Further, we walked to Unter den Linden from the hostel and it took us about 20 minutes 2. Quiet, residential neighbourhood 3. Decent breakfast bar - cereal, fruit juices, breads, cheeses, cured meats, tea/coffee - enough to keep you going for more than a few hours 4. Reasonable internet rates for in-room wifi - I believe it was Eur5 for two hours, and one didnt have to use both hours in one sitting. On the down side, the wireless connection was pretty weak 5. Friendly staff Cons: 1. Very small room 2. Even smaller bathroom. Not kidding - this was one of the smallest bathrooms I've seen. Gotta tip my hat to the German efficiency expert who managed to fit it all in that much space. 3. Room was clean, but there were a couple of dead insects on the bed. Probably fell off the window sill .. 4. Barebones room - no hairdryer, no iron, no telephone. While I dont care of the first two, lack of a telephone meant that I would have to use the payphone in the lobby. Could not receive incoming calls on this payphone, and wasnt about to blow my prepaid calling card (or use my US number @$1.50 per minute) to make / receive calls. All said, this is a decent place to stay considering the price. And remember, this is a two star hostel - set your expectations accordingly. Happy travels!!

It is the second time I've stayed at an A&O in Germany and I find it pleasant and comfortable. The rooms have different size. Mine was a twin room, quite small but with very comfortable mattresses. The only think I didn't like was the smell of the towels...they gave me the impression of being already used and not washed.

It was my first time in Berlin. The location is great, and the price is not too bad. I will definitely come back to this hotel if in Berlin.

Nice property very close to the Centre. Only two stops away on the underground 2 mins travel. Clean,welcoming and with a good provided breakfast Berlin is waiting for you. Book now.

I stayed in this hotel for two nights whilst on a study trip. I couldn't fault it on any count. It was extremely good value, very clean, well located and served my purpose thoroughly.

The average age of the reception staff was at a guess about 20years old and you could really tell the lack of maturity on a couple of occasions. Budget accommodation doesn't necessarily mean budget service but it really did here. I had no complaints however with the catering staff during breakfast. The walls in my room were paper thin so when the shower was used 4 times consecutively at midnight one evening, it was like a thunder storm at the back of my head. Location was close to subway so getting about was fine, however I wouldn't stay here again.

The hotel was great, the staff were friendly and helpful, the place was clean and the breakfast was very good. But in all the advertising blurb there was no mention of the punk squatters that were living 150 metres from the hotel. Kreuzberg was just a few hundred metres away and there was more graphitti than I have ever seen before! An interesting experience!

Lille dobbeltværelse på 8. etage. Badeværelset meget lille, men yderst veludnyttet. Rent og lyst værelse med delt dobbeltseng, rene håndklæder og rengøring hver dag. Velassorteret ta-selv morgenmad. Unge hjælpsomme m/k i receptionen.

Det er et hostel med en hotel etage, som er afsontret fra hostlets beboer. Det lebent der er i hostel delen oplever man ikke på hotelværelset. Der var ro og rummet fungeret. Det er gode forfold i forhold til prisen. Jeg syntes, at morgenbuffen var god.

Ziemlich neu renoviertes sauberes Haus mit kleinen, einfachen aber gut ausgestatteten Zimmern. Ideal für ein paar Nächte. Zu zweit ist ein DZ schon eher knapp!

Voor zijn prijs een redelijk hotel. Goede service. Ligging goed, 5 min. lopen naar metro. Kamer en badkamer wel erg klein maar goed te doen. Goed ontbijt. Wel veel lawaai in de omgeving.

Kombinerat hotell och hostel med både unga människor och barnfamiljer. Litet rum och badrum men rent och snyggt. Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal dygnet runt. Bra säkerhet med kortnyckel till entré, hiss och rum. Rejäl frukostbuffé med bra öppettider, trevlig bar. Ligger i ett lite ruffigt område men nära till Alexanderplatz, East Side Galleries och U-bahn.

Moitié auberge de jeunesse , moitié hôtel, on y croise beaucoup de jeunes décontractés et de tous horizons.. mais aussi des couples, des individus et des familles complètes. Les chambres sont propres, le coin salle de bain minuscule mais pratique. C'est pas trop bien insonorisé, mais pas bruyant non plus, dans la partie hôtel. Le personnel est jeune et souriant sauf peut-être les femmes de cuisine un peu débordées par l'abondance de petits-déjeuners matinaux, mais elles restent polies. C'est excellement situé mais vu la taille de la ville, mieux vaut louer un vélo, quoi qu'en août, on s'y déplace et s'y gare facilement en voiture, bien que les parkings coûtent cher.. Sauf celui de l'hôtel qui était plein, cependant. Pour les petites bourses, je le recommande vivement

Hotellet fyller sin funktion. Det ligger bra till med gångavstånd till tunnelbana (Heinrich Heine Strasse), S-Bahn (Jannowitz brücke) och favoritområdet kring Schlesisches tor samt ligger bra till prismässigt. Rummen är små men rena. Mycket små badrum. Frukosten som serveras är mycket bra. Personalen är hjälpsam och pratar bra engelska. Bra restauranger finns närmast kring Moritz Platz och Oranienstrasse. Återkommer gärna till hotellet.

Fin kombination af Hostel og Hotel. Vi havde bestilt et dobbeltværrelse med morgenmad. Værrelset var småt men pænt udstyret med et pænt men småt badeværrelse. Alt var rent og pænt, med daglig rengøring. Super morgenmads buffet og god frisk stemning på hotellet.... De mange unge mennesker til trods var det forbløffende roligt og ordentligt... Vi kommer helt sikkert tilbage. Mulighed for parkering for kun 5 euro pr dag.

Läget kunde knappt bli bättre. En kvarts promenad från Alexanderplatz/Unter den Linden, en kvart från Kreuzberg och bara lite längre från East Side Gallery och trevliga Friedrichshain. Väldigt trevlig atmosfär också, med folk i alla åldrar. Dock en smula livligt när somliga festade loss, men sån har man ju varit själv! Extra plus för trevlig bar och ett frukostbord man lämnade proppmätt. Allt som allt suverän valuta för pengarna!

Ett hotell över förväntan för att vara två stjärnigt. Stort rum. Rent. Något långt från centrum om man vill stannar en kortare tid och vill kunna gå in till centralare delar av Berlin.

Precis rätt nivå om man bara vill ha någonstans att bo. Allt man behövde fanns på plats.

Hôtel situé dans un quartier qui ne présente aucun intérêt touristique à 15 minutes à pied cependant d'Alexander Platz.. Accueil de nombreux groupes de jeunes donc bruyant la nuit. Personnel sympathique, petit dejeuner copieux et correct

Wir hatten ein Doppel im A&O fuer drei Tage. Der service war sehr gut und Ich wuerde das Hotel an jeden empfehlen, der nur einen Platz zum schlafen braucht, sonst aber nicht viel Zeit auf dem Hotelzimmer verbringen will. Ich muss leider sagen, dass die Betten sehr unkomfortabel waren, was ein bisschen gestoert hat nachdem man den ganzen Tag in Berlin herumgelaufen ist und erst spaet abends ins Bett gefallen ist. Eine sehr duenne Matratze die gleich nach 5 Minutes durchgelegen ist - Ich dachte Ich schlafe auf dem Boden.

Overnattet på enkeltrom på hotellet. Komfortabel seng, dusjen virker. Ingen overflødig luksus, men det er jeg heller ikke villig til å betale for. Grei beliggenhet - må gå litt for å komme til tog/undergrunnsbane, men buss-plass utenfor hotellet. Forholdsvis nær både turistattraksjoner i Mitte, samt vel så spennende Kreuzberg. Rent rom og god frokost. Vel verdt pengene.

Fint hotel til prisen.Rengøring af værelset var fantastisk, venligt og flink personale. Lidt larm fra unge mennesker men det er jo også et ungdomshotel. Jeg vil gerne bo der der igen

Hotellet ligger dejlig centralt , værelserne er små men rene og pæne ,morgenmaden er fin med et passende udvalg.alt ialt får man meget for prisen

The qualities are excellent for this price range. My room faced the courtyard in the back, and yes, people talking there could be heard while the windows were open - but as soon as I shut them the noise was gone. The walls are thin, you can hear people talking in the hall. Staying on the 3rd floor probably spared me for some noise from the 8-person rooms etc which were holding some school kids or something during my stay. The room was nicely cleaned, bed was okay (except very squeaky). Bathroom is really small. I actually went out of the bathroom to be able to dry off properly after showering. Staff were polite and had very good English skills, unlike so many others I've encountered on my travels in Eastern Germany. On my question as to where they would suggest I go, they happily provided a tourists map and crossed out where the hostel is and where I should head out for sights and meals. The only thing I experienced as negative was the wireless internet connection being extremely slow, not letting me use vpn, and not very stable signal. I barely got to check my google mail (sometimes even that timed out). Within walking distance from Ostbahnof, about 15 minutes. Suitable for travellers young at heart and soul. At the price I concider it a bargain. Would probably not stay for more than a weekend or maybe a week though, but for short stays with a limited budget, the A&O Berlin Mitte is good value for money.

Hotelet ganska centralt i Berlin, med nära till kommunicationer. Funktionellt, enkelt och ganska bekvämt. Men med tunna väggar. Bra frukost men synda att inte kunna checka in förren efter fyra.

A&O Berlin var en god oplevelse til prisen. Vandrehjemmet var rent og med simpelt indrettede vaerelser. Den gode og store morgenmadsbuffet gav en god start paa en dag i Berlin.

Für uns der absolute Pluspunkt des Hotels: seine Lage in Berlin Mitte, mit U-Bahnanschluss. Dei Zimmer waren sehr sauber und das Bad absolut top von der Ausstattung her. Nachteil: sehr kleine Zimmer, kein Platz für viel Gepäck. Durch das integrierte Hostel ist es teilweise laut. Das Frühstück ist gut und ausreichend, jedoch im Kantinenstil.

We have stayed two nights. And generally we were pleased. Rates are cheaper than same segment otels. Staff was very friendly and helpful. But sometimes, there was loudy atmosphere. So because, there is a youth hostel in same building, that was natural. We noticed just a problem, rooms are very small to move.

A városközpont 10 busszal (kb. 30 gyalog ha úgy alakul) Szinte csak fiatalok szállnak meg, már a 30-asok is ritkaságnak számítanak. :) A szoba tiszta, a személyzet segítőkész. A környék: ex-kelet nyugat határ (a Fal maradványai 3 percre vannak). A szállodától 100 méterre punkok egy lepukkant házat foglalnak, a környéken csaknem minden grafitis.

Vi vil gerne komme igen - personalet var hjælpsomme, men værelserne er dårligt isoleret (tydelige lyde fra naboer), hvilket vi synes er et stort minus.

Stille og roligt på gangene men lidt uroligt i reseptions og bar området pga mange unge mennesker. Dejligt Centralt for alt, tæt på u-banen. -fin fin morgenmad. Værelserne var i fin stand og pæne rene.

Billigt och bra hotell, gångavstånd från Ostbanhof och i närheten av den längsta bevarade delen av muren, East Side Gallery.

Þetta hótel er nokkuð fínt og stendur fyrir sínu sem ódýrt hótel. Það var snyrtilegt inni á herbergi og öryggið þótti mér nokkuð gott.
