My stay was fine, rooms were spacious and comfortable. One problem....I asked for a full kitchen and got a kitchenette. I had children with me and purchasing cooked food was a bit of an inconvience.

Very nice hotel. Only disappointment was the fee for wireless service that was not usable. Frequently dropped the connection and was painfully slow, with many page freezing or timeing out. Ended up having to use my 3G service.

We were coming from a 5.5 hour long drive, arrived late at night, the staff was able to get us checked in quickly and they even upgraded our room without us asking. Big suite with jacuzzi, two individual bedrooms with separate bathrooms. Flat screen TV in both rooms, nice pool. Overall great value. Will be back again.

Nice place and very comfortable. Loved our unit with 2 bedrooms and full kitchen. Big enough to entertain small dinner party. Location good but nothing really within walking distance, must have transportation.

This was our second stay Wmburg Plantation, motivated by such a positive experience the first time. This year we stayed in an older unit, it was very spacious, but a little gloomy and no king size bed. We knew that we would not have a full kitchen but were told that the only thing missing would be an oven, however, the unit had no dish washer and the […] kitchen sink was very small. There was a sauna (a nice surprise) and jetted tub almost TOO large to use since it took forever to fill up and was difficult to get in and out of. There was a wood burning fireplace, not a gas one like before. We do not mind wood burning however the reception area could not provide logs, only fire starters and we had to purchase logs on our own. Sooooo, while I would stay there again, I will definitely request a newer unit and you should too. Read more

We enjoyed the stay!!! We had no issues our entire stay. It's conveniently located near everything, only 2-10 minute drive from convenient stores, shopping centers, outlet, etc. Only strange thing was the bedroom with the 2 twin beds had the jacuzzi would have been nice to have in our bedroom instead of kids' room. There's a definite "dated look" to the place but its mostly clean. Imagine a mountain lodge from the '60s with lots of activities for children. The in-door pool was too small and seemed to be an after-thought. My 11 year old daughter and wife were content and that means a lot! The location was good for Colonial W-burg, Busch Gardens, etc.

We stayed two nights over the first weekend in December 2012 to attend the Christmas activities at Colonial Williamsburg. This was our first visit to Williamsburg Plantation and we had our two adult daughters in tow. The lodge (I'll call it that because it has separate buildings) has a number of services that we didn't have time to use, as we were out […] and about so much. There are only 2 hotels in Colonial Williamsburg proper, so all others including this one require a drive to the visitor's center, but this was expected and actually worked well as we stopped for breakfast at one of the plentiful pancake houses on the way. PROS: Two bedroom suite was spacious and more than we actually needed. Nice kitchenette and lounge for gathering together. Property is very well kept and the limited interactions we had with staff were very positive and they were very helpful. Housekeeping is not everyday since this is a resort, but you could request it. CONS: The walls were a bit thin in our suite, so no monkeying around! No other concerns, though. We will be back to the area for a visit and plan to stay here again. Read more

When I checked in I was informed that my room was upgraded from a two bedroom condo with a partial kitchen to a two bedroom condo with a full kitchen and a jacuzzi tub and it just kept getting better from there. Overall, we were very happy we found this place. However, we did have a few issues. The master bedroom only had blinds and there was a large,bright flourescent light outside the window. There is a long story that I don't have enough room for everything that happened, was suppose to happen and how it was handled. VERY POORLY.. The night mgr even suggested […] that we move the whole family to another condo (at 1am) rather than get more blankets from another facility to cover a window so we could sleep. It was incredibly bright. They finally brought more blankets after several calls. The front desk people the next morning promised resolution and said it was a common complaint but they we're not changing the decor with curtains!!?? Other than that, and the rude night staffer it was a great place, spacious,beautiful and a great layout. Would go again, with extra blankets to cover the window. Nice layout and close to the attractions. I wish we had more time to enjoy all of the facilities. Such as swimming pool, tennis courts, etc. We also had a maintenance issue that was fixed the next morning. Also we ere not told that there wasn't maid service on weekends so we came back from the long day at busch gardens to wet towels that were left for maids. THe night mgr(yes, the same one) told me they could send two more clean towels or charge me a fee. There is a washing machine in the hallway that we were suppose to use for our towels on the weekend. it was a beautiful 'home' and it have everything we needed. if i had to say anything negative the jets didn't work in the tub and there was no cord to the radio in one of the bedrooms. I would stay again and have let co-workers know how pretty it was

We stayed here for two nights while we visited Busch Gardens. With two kids (one a five year old) I like to have a separate bedroom so we can put the little one to bed and still stay up to watch TV. I thought the room was great. There was a living room and kitchen, one bedroom and a bathroom accessed by both the bedroom and kitchen. The only downside […] was that the bed in the bedroom was not comfortable. It made squeaky noises every time someone rolled over and it was pretty uncomfortable. Also, there was no way to cook in the kitchen other than in the microwave. There was no cooktop or oven at all. It was not a problem for us since we were only there two days and ate out. But if I was staying longer I would definitely make sure to get one of the upgraded rooms with a full kitchen. They asked us once at check in if we were interested in a timeshare presentation, but we said no and they did not bother us at all. There was an indoor pool and spa which was nice on a cool evening to entertain the kids. I would stay there again, and I am pretty picky about my hotels. Read more

We recently stayed at the Plantation for the first time based on reviews we read. The resort is beautiful and well-kept. We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub (the outdoor pool looked really nice too although it was closed) The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and allowed us to check in early. Setup was a downstairs one bedroom condo in 4 unit building. Could here people walking around upstairs a couple of times so maybe would opt for upstairs condo next time. Great setup for 2 couples wanting to share 2 condos as there is a keyed double foyer for both upstairs and downstairs with 2 condos each sharing a washer/dryer in the 2nd foyer. An […] extra table in the large 1 sink bath would have been nicer for 2 people. 1/2 kitchen and electric fireplace was nice. Exercise room in main building was nice. Staff was very cordial. Located away from main street and within a mile of outlet mall and a couple miles from town square. Easy access to and from plantation. Aside from the red bull can behind the couch, it was a good room. I wish it had a stove top instead of a hot plate. The beds were comfortable, even the sofa bed. I slept on it for 6 days with no problem. The patio was always in the shade, which allowed for use at any time. It was in the center of all the Williamsburg sites I wanted to visit. It was a very nice place to stay, and very quiet. When we arrived there was a little time-share speil that we turned down but they didnt push the issue so that made me happy. The only complaint i might of had was i wish they had told us when check out time was when we checked in. We really enjoyed our suite at this hotel. Everything was clean and bright. The only negative thing I have to say about it was the arrangement of the bedrooms was kind of strange. The master bedroom with the master bath had two twin beds in it instead of a king or queen. But, overall I would definitely stay there again.

We were happy to have spent a portion of our Christmas vacation at the Williamsburg Plantation this year! We found the accommodations to be more than adequate; the clean apartment (not just a hotel room,) with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchenette and living room, close to the club house and pool, made the "out-of-the-way" location totally worthwhile. […] Remember this is a timeshare, but at no time were we asked if we were interested in purchase. Family make-up: 2 adults and 2 children, ages 3 and 5. Time spent: 3 nights, 4 days total. The only two downsides: Having to use the car to get anywhere (which we believe is pretty much a US thing,) and keeping the kids awake on the 25 minute drive back from Busch Gardens, late at night. Multiple upsides: dishes in the kitchen, full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, laundry facility in building, easy parking, great kid-friendly pool (deep end 5'), club house gym (for adults only,) club house events, picnic tables/playgrounds on site, tennis courts, and most important, privacy! (no sheet changes, etc.) We'd go again (in maybe two or three years!) Read more

williamsburg plantation had bedbugs i was bitten quite a few times on both arms on my back. upon checkout i spoke to a staff member and she said that they would look into it.I called a few days later and i was told that they indeed found bedbugs in the apartment that we stayed in. We loved everything about our stay. Our two bedrooms suite was well-appointed and very comfortable. It was scrupulously clean and well-maintained. I rate this hotel an overall four due to the fact the second floor superior units have a hot plate, instead of a stove. The counter space, due to microwave also on counter, is limited making, in my opinion, the use of a hot plate a potential fire hazard.

I've stayed at this hotel many times beore, however I've never stayed upstairs. The upstairs units needs to be updated. There's no stove or oven, and the sheets were poor quality, very ruff to the touch. All in all it was okay, more than what I would have gotten at a regular hotel.

We have stayed at 4 different Williamsburg resorts and so far this is our favorite. We stayed over the Christmas holiday in a 2-bedroom suite. It was large, clean, bright and very comfortable with a huge jetted, soaking tub and cozy fireplace in the living room. My only complaint would be that the kitchen area did not include a stove top for cooking, […] while this was not such a problem given our 4 days stay, if we were there for longer, I would like to have this option.
