I asked for lower floor. Did not get it. Had to change to another room because air did not work.

Roach in room. Room smelled of bug spray and perfume covered smoke (was smoke free room). Toilet paper holder torn from wall, missing sort doors. Breakfast was very skimpy, we ate elsewhere. Lobby had the same odor as the room. Would not go back or recommend.

This is by far not a luxury hotel. However, the room was very, very clean and the area safe. Two women on a shopping excursion were very pleasantly pleased. Near everything that is necessary.

New desk clerk, struggled with the computer. Owner on sight, nice enough & helped her out. I-pad was played with when out of the room and pictures taken by some younger boy around 11 or 12 years old. Beds were comfortable and overall was clean. Good value for the $.

This hotel was a great bargain price-wise. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and large the room was. My first comment was "it's a big room and it smells good!" it was ok, but the lobby needs an uplift, it really smells of cigarette smoke. the room was ok but the privacy was kinda of scary, I did not feel safe, you could see light from the door seal, I felt like I needed to push the dresser in front of the door, the lock on the door didn't seem like it would hold, I couldn't move it so I just pushed the desk […] in front of it, it needs one of those security latches like most hotels have, last was the curtains kept the air flow from distributing in the room, other than those 3 things it was ok. The hotel was old and dengy. The tub and toilet were clean but the towels were not bleached - it was musty - just not good. I will never stay there again. We were to stay there 2 nights and only stayed one night - we choose to drive home 5 hours to sleep in our own beds after a full day of shopping instead of staying there another night.

the pool was empty no water. when we went for our breakfast there was almost no cerel left. There was no milk or juice. When i went to ask the front desk if they were out of milk he advised that he kept it in the same place he did at home. I was able to locate the milk was put away however there was no sign advising were to find it. We booked the room online so we really have an option for the location of the room. Upon check-in the clerk informed us the room on the second floor room. I asked if any first floor rooms or an elevator was available because my wife is disabled. He stated this room was my only option. My wife as tired from the long the road trip and said that she just […] wanted to take nap so we took the room. It was very difficult for her to navigate the stairs but we finally made it to the room. The first thing we noticed when finally got up the stairs and looked over the balcony was an algae infested, half filled pool. Nothing like the picture online that boasted the biggest swimming pool of any motel in town. When we entered the room we were greeted by an odd, unidentifiable smell. I wanted to leave, but my wife wanted to sleep more so we stayed. Among other things, the microwave did not work and we had to rig the curtains so that when the AC was on they did not blow about the room making noise. I won't mention the awful continental breakfast consisting of a 1/4 full gallon jugs of milk and orange juice that smelled old, two spotty bananas, a stale honey bun, 1/2 loaf of bread and a toaster. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean is all I can say good about the place. Glad we were just there for one night. Read more

Property leaves "A lot" to be desired. Room was clean and functional. Bed was on a wooden platform. A/C didn't seem to make a temp change used mainly for noise and moving air in room. Pool was green with bottles floating in it. Yards were mowed but no maintenance was apparent in any other area. Would only stay here if this is the only choice.

It was happy to actually find a hotel in Athens over the weekend and I found this hotel being a very pleasant place to stay.The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable too. I loved the hospitality and care of the hotel staff. It was great and made the whole experience better. Good deal for the price.

Very clean rooms. A+ to the housekeeping staff. D to the maintenance of the rooms. We fought with the A/C consistantly, and neighbors complained of the same thing. 90 degrees outside & people had doors open to try to keep the rooms cool. Broken cabinets & fixtures everywhere. Bring a flash light, light switches are impossible to find in the dark & no […] where near the door. Check & and check out were a joke, obviously a family operation with zero professionalism.
