The service was good. The hotel was super busy since it was Thai new year. There seemed to be confusion about what was available for excursions, etc. I had to press the hotel staff multiple times for a list of available excursions. Generally happy with the room. The beach area is not that great but if you walk north or south of the hotel you can access […] better beach fronts. If you take an excursion, you will even more beautiful beaches. There were more families with children than I expected. That could simply be a function of the new year holiday. Overall, happy with the trip. Transfer to Trat from hotel was amazing. I suppose for Koh Chang it's ok, but it is tired. It has some nice features but is not well managed. It is understaffed in reception and in cleaning. The clientele is "interesting" and surrounding hotel noises intrusive. Koh Chang has dangerous roads and is worse than Phuket re tackiness. The Amari is a 3 star at best, yet it could be so much better. […] Access is also an issue with strange steps, levels and access points always set to trip you. The hotel itself is beautiful, the pool is amazing, the way they light it at night is great, food in restaurants are good and not expensive, overall is great. I went with my wife for my honeymoon, and they just don't gave me a room […] facing the pool, which was PERFECT!!, they also brought us a delicious cake in heart shape, with "Happy Honeymoon" written on it, put petals on the tub and on bed. Maybe it doesn't really sound so different to other hotels can do, but the service they had toward us, the way they make you feel. They are really OUTSTANDING! This is hands down the best hotel I've ever stayed in my life! Maybe you will pay a bit more (and still is not expensive at all), but it is definitely worth it and will exceed your expectations. Booked it for a couple of nights while we stayed in Koh Chang.bwhat I was looking for was comfortable room, free Internet, good service and amenities. The hotel certainly lived up to those expectations. The pool is very good with a jacuzzi as well. There is also direct access to the beach and seaside. This is a very nice hotel on Klong Prao Beach...well not really on the beach. The Resort has the ocean in front but NO sand. In saying that, the hotel does have a man-made sandy area with sun beds but this area is above the retaining wall with steps straight down into the water. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurants but chose to eat at the Thai food stalls and shops in the street. We caught the local taxi to Kai Bae ahd Bang Bao for a change of scenery. Inte så jättenöjd med min vistelse på Amari då hotellet kändes ganska nedgånget. Har säkert varit fint en gång i tiden men tycker nu att rummen och möblerna var slitna. Stranden var långgrund men inte stenig så den var helt ok. Hotellfrukosten var det enda som jag var riktigt nöjd med. Servicen var också väldigt bra. Dejligt hotel med en lækker pool og strand i forlængelse af hinanden. Særligt poolområdet er dejligt med den flotteste udsigt ud over havet! Hotellet ligger udemærket og det er let at komme rundt. Flere restauranter langs stranden, som serverer lækkert thai mad! Helt sikkert et hotel der er anbefalelsesværdigt hvis man søger ro og fred!!

9月後半の雨季に5日間滞在。 ホテルに着くまでの道、水に浸かってるエリアも通って「わーお…」と心配したが、このホテルの地域は水害は無く安全でした。 ホテルからメインストリートまで小道を1分位。店はあるが静かなエリア。コンビニは歩いて行けます。洗濯屋さんも歩いて5分以内のところに。（ホテルは高いからとスタッフが紹介してくれた） ホテル内は静かで、庭もプールも美しく整えられています。 プールは50m位ありそうな大きいのとジャグジーつきとミニサイズの3つ。 海に面してもビーチチェアがあるけど、砂浜はほとんどないです。 海を右に進んだ隣のホテルのビーチが広いのでそちらまでお散歩がgood。 貝殻拾ったり、ヤシの木ブランコで満喫しました。 女2人での予約。 最初の予約ではキングサイズのベット1個し […] か用意できないとの返答だったが、当日再度依頼したところツインベッド＆アップグレードしてくれた。 客室はウッディでとっても落ち着きます。 エレベーターのレトロさもまた良いところ。 建物は古さを感じない、いたって綺麗で清潔なホテルです。 （空調とテレビもレトロだった。でも問題なし） 夜にはチョコレートサービスがお花と一緒に置かれます。 翌日のお掃除後、その花がバスルームの花器に浮かべてあって優雅。。。 ベランダからの景色を見ながらお茶したり。。。 スパも別棟でしっかり整えられていて、海辺の部屋でトリートメント。。。 素敵なアジアのリゾートです。 ゲストはロシアとか欧米系が多かった。韓国人らしきカップルや、タイ人もいたかな。 ファミリーも多かった。けれどうるささは気になりません。 雨季はレストランを縮小営業していて、ディナーは1つの場所でのみ食べれます。 やってないメニューもあり。 そのせいか、ほとんどのゲストは外で食べていた。 オプショナルツアーも紹介してくれます。 アンコールワットショートトリップもあったが日程足りるわけもなく行けず。 トラートがカンボジアに近いから足を延ばしてみるのも良し。ビザは国境のところで取れるらしい。 まだ日本人客が少なめの観光地なので、英語でやりとりできる方が便利です。 チャン島自体はタイの歌手が来てたり、撮影をやってたり、タイ人の観光客も来てたりと人気の島な様子。 ホテルライフも、島的にも、ものすごーく楽しめました。 Read more

Es war zwar alles so weit ok, aber die Anlage ist auch nicht mehr die Neueste. Dafür war alles viel zu teuer! Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für dieses Hotel, und das in Thailand, passt meiner Meinung nach nicht. Wenn ich mich als Gast übervorteilt und geneppt fühle, buche ich dieses Hotel nicht noch einmal.

Hotellet ligger litt usentralt, men veldig idyllisk. Fantastisk uteområde, 4 eller 5 stjerner, rommet holdt 3 stjerners standard og var litt skuffende. Litt slitent og gammel og luiten TV. Check in var veldig klønete, amatørmessig og upersonlig. Vi måtte vente i resepsjonen, ingen ba oss sette oss ned og man valgte å vise to forskjellige gjester rommene […] samtidg. Når jeg spurte om hvor frokostsalen var, fikk jeg beskjed om at dette tmåtte vi betale for, noe vi allerede hadde gjort. I stedet for at personalet sjekket dette, måtte jeg gå tilbake til resepsjonen for å få oppklart misforståelsen. Neste var at lyset på baderommet var mangelfullt og vi måtte vente opp til fem-seks timer på at rommene ble rengjort. . Uteområdene er fantastisk bra, og glimrende for barnefamilier. Hög service, nära till stränder, tillgång till dyk-utbildning och kajak-utbildning för en summa. Hyffsat stor pool och egen strand dock var där en helt del maneter. Inte så mycket shopping men perfekt om man vill dyka som vi gjorde. Hela ön är en nationalpark vilket känns bra att stödja, mycet havsliv är för stört i tex Phuket så Koh Chang är perfekt […] om man vill se mycket fisk när man dyker. Det finns snorkling också. nein, eigentlich gibt es nichts zu meckern, das Personal war sehr freundlich, die Zimmer/Anlage sauber, das Essen war auch gut (haben das Angebot im Hause zu essen allerdings nur einmal in Anspruch genommen). Kritikpunkte gibt es trotzdem: o die Kosten für das Frühstücks Buffet mit umgerechnet EURO 15 ansetzen, ist selbst für Thailändische Verhältnisse […] sehr teuer. Wir haben es glücklicherweise nicht gebucht (sind mit einem Mietroller immer zu einem kleinem Hotel am White Sand Beach gefahren ... umgerechnet EURO 3 für ein kleines, gutes Buffet …) o Internet-Zugang ist/war zwar kostenfrei, aber nur in der Lobby verfügbar; hier hätte ich auf den Zimmern einen Zugang (LAN, WLAN) erwartet ... o auch wenn ich/wir nicht so viel Fern sehe, einen Flachbildschirm inkl. eines DVD-Player (wir hatten ein Hotel in Pattaya in der gleichen Preisklasse ... Flachbild und DVD-Player inkl.) habe ich, nicht schmerzlich vermisst, aber sollte mittlerweile zum Standard gehören! Vielleicht werden diese Punkte irgendwann einmal nachgebessert! Read more

Fantastisk og dejlig hotel - følte virkeligt, at vi var på ferie. Morgenmaden kunne der ikke sættes en finger på. Det var lidt "dyrt" at spise på hotellet, men lige ude på "hovedvejen" lå der et lille spisested - hvor kokken lavede dejlig autentisk thai mad til billige penge.
