Excellent hotel, one of the best we've had on our Spain-Portugal tour. Easily reachable by car since it's on a main street. Large, bright room with all utilities. Nice city view from the window. Polite and helpful staff. Excellent buffet breakfast. Subway station round the corner or take a 20 minutes' walk downtown. A direct bus to Belem stops right […] across the street. Excellent. But: Towels in bathrooms were old, not in line with hotel level. For a one week stay, we would get ONE small bar of soap 1.5 inches square, by 1/4 inch thick. One little bottle of shampoo. This for two people in the room. Ridiculous. Other than that hotel is excellent.

The hotel is quite modern and fairly large. I believe they have about 170 rooms and they are quite accomodating. The people at the front desk are helpful; they will also help you plan your sightseeing for the day as well as places to eat. Breakfast was lovely and certainly ample. It is served in a large dining room that is well decorated and very appetizing […] to enjoy the fabulous breakfast that is served. The entire hotel was immaculate and the staff was extremely helpful. The beds, pillows and blankets and the shower and bathtub were perfect. All in all we totally enjoyed our four days that we spent there. Similar to US hotel rooms (ala Holiday Inn), the room was decent size (large for Europe) had a large bathroom with full bath (unheard of in Europe). The TV was 19 inch, not LCD, internet access was very good but the bed was very hard. All European outlets, no 110 V. Quiet, even though facing a very busy street. Free breakfast had a large selection and […] was good quality. Area is convienent for walking to Old Town with its many, good, yet expensive restaurants. Watch out for pick-pockets, seriously. 15 min cab ride (10 eu) from the airport or 3 eu by bus which stops across the street. Hotels.com gave the best rate. The location of this hotel is great and the design both exterior and exterior is well done. The beauty goes only skin deep. Most of the staff were very efficient. Unfortunately, there were some problems with maintenance. The first room had a faulty lock and eventually they sent someone to guard my room so that I could go to dinner. I changed rooms. The second room had air-conditioning problems and they could not get the clock to work (on TV). I had to change rooms in the […] middle of the night because of the AC. Then I moved back the next day... What an experience. Management did not apologise or contact me with any kind of explanation, even though I completed a feedback form at the hotel. I stay at the SANA Lisboa on a regular basis and can only describe the hotel as excellent. The staff are attentive, friendly and courteous at all times. The hotel location is excellent and I have never been dis-satisfied in any way during any of my stays.

Very clean hotel in a great location. Sightseeing busses are parked 2 blocks away. Breakfast buffet was good and fresh. Beds are a little hard but decent enough. Television was old. Bar staff friendly and informative. Definitely worth what I spent.

Located just off Marques de Pombal with easy airport access via the metro or Aerobus. The room was as expected (free wi-fi, mini bar, fridge, hairdryer, English language news programmes) except no tea/coffee making facilities and the decor was a little tired. The different areas of Lisbon (Estrela, Alfama, Bairro Alto, Chiado, Biaxa) are walkable from the hotel but the hotel isn't ideally located for walking the city. The area around the hotel is quite commercial so there's not much in the way of small shops or cafes nearby. Staff are helpful. Most of the guests appeared to be conference attendees. Read more

Stayed for three nights in October 2011. The hotel is very clean with comfortable rooms with free safety deposit boxes in the room together with mini bar, good hairdryer. Tea and coffee making facilities were not available in the room which was a shame. Breakfast consists of a buffet including scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon,hash browns, mushrooms, […] tomatoes, fried eggs, croissants, bread rolls, toast, jams, yogurt, cold meats, danish pastries, muffins, cake, cereal, tea, coffee, sparkling water, champagne! There is a nice bar in the lobby although a bit pricey but worth it. Drinks served with crisps, peanuts and pretzels and ask for a cup of tea and it comes in silver pot on warming stand with separate tray with every type of sugar imaginable and cinamon sticks complete with three petit fours. 20 minute walk to restaurants although the hotel does have a large restaurant which we did not use as we preferred to eat out. Five minute walk to the main roundabout where you can pick up the open top hop on hop off buses. The Aerobus number 1 from the airport stops right outside the hotel and costs 3.50 Euros. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again on our next visit. You will not be disappointed. Read more

We had a 3 night stay here and had the romance package,which meant there was wine flowers and fruit in the room every day.This service is provided towards the end of the day so when we checked in the sparkling wine wasn't actually in the room,however a call to reception and all was fixed in no time. The flowers were fresh rose petals in the barhroom […] and the fruit was a bowl of excellent grapes,just what was needed after a dayys sightseeing.. The hotel is 2 stops on the subway from the centre of town or a 30 minute walk so although in the city it isn't exactly central. No complaints about the room but it seems the odd numbered rooms have a better view over the city. The breakfast was extensive and of good quality even if the odd item ran out now and then but any shortages were soon replenished. We used room service a couple of times and found it to all we required with prompt and courteous service. Sana Lisboa is clearly a high standard hotel. From the hotel, catch the Aerobus and get off at Edward VII Park, it takes 25 minutes and costs 3.5 Euro. Check-in is normal, hotel is 12 storeys high with efficient modern lifts, rooms are air-conditioned and well-equipped with the usual goodies. Very clean throughout. I had one meal with wine at the lobby […] bar, food and service good. Enjoyed listening to the resident pianist. On the town, the main drag is about 15 minutes walk away, or take the Metro, or taxi. Lisboa is a city of contrasts. The central corridor, sweeping down to the docks, is where the heritage lies in terms of architecture, monuments, squares and statues. It is flanked by high-sided cobbled streets. Be aware that it is very hilly, so if you intend to wander, wear sensible shoes. I bought a 48 hr Yellow Bus ticket for 19 Euro which showed me the sites to the West (Belem Tower area) and to the East (Expo 98). The bus is open-top and you can use it endlessly. You get ear-phones and audio-guide. The ticket covers city buses and the return trip to the airport, plus some other curious rides (funicular, Chinese Tower). You might wish to walk up tot he Castle just off the centre. It'll take approx 40 minutes to get there. Entrance tickets are 7 Euro but make sure you give yourself plenty of time for the whole trip including a couple of hrs around the castle grounds including lunch stop (cafe inside). Read more

Muito bem localizado, a alguns metros da Praça Marquez de Pombal. Café da manhã excelente, serviço de concierge muito bom, e preço razoável. o único porém foi o quarto inicialmente cedido com odor muito forte de cigarro, mas prontamente trocado.

Estuvimos 4 días y la estancia resulto muy agradable. La ubicación es muy buena (el punto de partida de los autobuses turísticos esta muy cerca). El personal del hotel fue un amable y el buffet fantástico. Por la noche te puedes tomar una copa escuchando a un pianista tocar en directo. Sin duda lo recomendamos.

Das Sana in Lissabon ist ein tadelloses Kongresshotel, mit adäquater Ausstattung und durchaus schönen Zimmern. Die Lage ist OK, mit einer kurzen U-Bahn-Fahrt erreicht man das Zentrum. WiFi funktioniert.
