"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.

We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.
""Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.
"Nice hotel in the theatre district"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel in the theatre district. Friendly and helpful staff. Basic room accomodations but very clean. Would recommend.

Subway and rail lines connect John F. Kennedy International Airport with Manhattan and Long Island. JFK is home to a well-known modernist landmark designed by famed architect Eero Saarinen. Completed in 1962, the TWA Flight Center is a National Historic Landmark that serves as Jet Blue’s terminal. Nearby, two popular beach towns—Atlantic Beach and Long Beach—are a short drive from JFK.

"Bad service"
I called ahead to ask about pick up at the JFK airport and transfer to the hotel. I was told that they had 24 hr. service and given a number to call upon arrival. We were arriving a Mid-night in a strange town in a bad neighborhood. I called the number , received an answer that was barely understandable. I was told to go to the pick up location and […] wait 10 minutes. I, my wife, daughter and son-in -law went to the location to wait. we waited 60 minutes and longer 1 and 1/4 hr. No Van > I am a Hilton gold card member and a Delta Diamond member . I called a second time and was told the bus was one the way After 10 more minutes, a van from another competing hotel brand felt sorry for us and took us near the front of the Hilton. I paid him and gave him a tip. There sat the van, no driver, hood cold, never moved. We went inside and asked why no pick up. The driver said " I just forgot". I complained the nest A M to the lady at the front desk Do not go there, do not stay , do not get left standing. Read more

We spend a night there and the staff was pleasant and courteous. The hotel lobby was simple and decente. the elevator location downstairs on the first floor was a little away from the main desk but hte hallways upstair were nice and clean. I would certainly stay there again.
"Hilton Garden Inn in Queens"
This hotel is very customer friendly. Close to the airport and easy to get to. The staff goes out of it's way to make your stay enjoyable.
"Very convenient - Proximity to JFK"
It's not the "nicest" Hilton, but nothing beats its proximity to the airport and courtesy shuttle service to and from the airport. I would definitely recommend for overnight connecting flights.
"Breakfast good but too costly"
Breakfast good but too costly for limited menu items.
"Hilton Garden Inn-JFK"
This is an old hotel, with old rooms, a tiny restaurant with limited and overpriced selections. Cup of mediocre vegtable soup and a mediocre Ceasar salad for $17. Give me break. The "bar" is 5 stools sitting in the 400 square foot restaurant. It may be worth while at some price, but certainly not at the prevailing rates.
"Fair enough!"
If you are driving this hotel is hard to get to. Cabs and shuttles can get to JFK with ease. There is nothing in the way of restaurants or shops even remotely close to the Hotel..and you probably don't want to walk around in that area after dark. The Shuttle leaves every half hour and staff is helpful and courteous. The rate was fair and in terms of […] value for money I would say pretty good. Read more

"JFK"
Hotel was great. Nice and comfy and staff was very helpful. The restaraunt inside was also good. I used the complimentary shuttle they offer from JFK. To get to the city you need to take shuttle to JFK and go from there.
"Paid and ordered for 2 Double, got 1 Queen"
We were traveling to overseas. We got this hotel for the convenience. Hotel room and customer service was good. But Hotel said, Hotels.com cannot guarantee your room selection. It was 1 AM on the morning and we were super tired, 4 people family had to squeezed in one queen bed.
"Perfectly adequate airport hotel"
Very pleasant staff, clean, convenient -- pilots sleep there so its fine. Food is acceptable, and the dining room atmosphere is "Giligan's Island": we're all kinda bummed to be here so lets make the best of it :-) . No reason to venture outside though -- you can even have food delivered by one of the myriad local joints for which take-out menus are […] available. Would stay again. Read more
"Great Service"
The service was immaculate. Great customer service!!!!!!! Great experience!!!!!
"Good for Sleep over"
Do not expect much and you will be fine. The staff has a great service attitude but it is not a confortable hotel. Good location for reaching fast JFK and shuttle runs every 30 minutes.

"One of the better choices"
While it's unrealistic to have high expectations of a hotels around any airport, having no expectations at all at JFK is appropriate. This hotel, however, managed to stand out - particularily with its customer services. The staff at this hotel was excellent. The accommodations... nicer than most in the area. It will certainly be my destination next […] time I'm forced to leave JFK early in the morning. Read more

"Hilton Garden Inn"
Staff excelent. Hotel clean and kept up. Pay breakfast worth it. Chef knows how to cook! Bed too comfy. Fridge and Micro very useful. Front desk had a leak so in need of repairing but still over all worth the stay. Will stay again with kids who will enjoy the indoor pool and gym.

"Fine for hassle free business trips"
The room was comfortable and clean, the restaurant is open late with a bar, and there is a shuttle to and from JFK every 30 minutes. There is an ironing board and decent iron in the closet and free WiFi (not secured though, VPN would be needed for anything but reading the news). Nothing special, but a nice place when your flight gets in late and you […] just want to eat, sleep, and prepare for a meeting. Read more

"Good stop if passing throught JFK Airport"
The hotel is a10 minute taxi ride from the terminal and cost $12. There is a free shuttle but we had been flying for 10 hours and wanted a bed quickly so we paid. The dining area was great with a good burger and cold beer and wings for dinner and a great meal in the morning. Both meals cost the two of us about $30 each time. Room was what you would […] have expected. Issues: We ended up in a room next to the highway...lots of traffic. There was a funny smell in the hallways but they were had painted the day before. I can't see Paris staying here but it was just fine for a quick overnight in/out at JFK. Read more
"Staff Attitude"
A nice enogh hotel ruined by rude staff. I am not one to complain or even respond to these requests but it has to be heard. COMPLAINT #1 We arrived back from a show around 11pm and wanted a coffee. The night barman at the front bar was talking away to what appeared to be his friend and "friend" to the girl that had been frequenting the bar the past […] 2 nights and dissapearing with various men. Not hard to miss dressed as she was and getting the attention she was from the single men. There was noone else at the bar and he looked at us and just ignored us completely. I tried to get his attention and he continued to ignore me while chatting about sport to his friend/associate with the girl sitting quietly by! When he eventually came over he refused to serve us coffee saying it was too late. Which is fine but the attitude and the character of the place will always feel seedy to me after that. This is a serious issue that should be taken up with management. COMPLAINT #2 I called the bell cpt for help with our bags when checking out. I waited 20 min and decided to cart all 6 bags down myself None of the staff stopped to help while I struggled through the lobby. Eventually I get all bags to the taxi which we called over ourselves and then all of a sudden the doorman appears and helps lift 2 of the bags bags into the trunk. I give him my last dollar not really feeling bad because of what I had just gone thru to which he says " one dollar, why thank you so much sir, very kind of you".......with teh sarcy accent I wonder how else I should have taken that. Rude and shocking behaviour that I am sure continues at this "upperclass" Hotel. Rooms are small but normal for NYC. Because of these two instances I will not be giving them any more of my money. Pity, but for the staff I would have. The staff at breakfast were excellent BTW. Dissapointing Read more
"JFK lodging convenience"
The hotel is conveniently located right next to the airport. Shuttles made it very easy for my plans as I was there to pick up two of my kids who were flying in on Saturday and Sunday. Staff were all very courteous. Indoor pool was nice and warm, but maybe just a little too much. Double Beds were comfortable but small. Room was very clean. Got package […] with breakfast included and was definitely worth it. Cafeteria is small but food was plentiful and great. Absolutley great for those with traveling needs. Read more
"Hilton Garden Inn Queens/JFK airport"
Though conveniently located near the airport, the neighborhood around this hotel isn't all that great. Hotel staff was superb but the hotel overall had a musty smell, as did the a/c in our room. Smelled like sewer outside and some places inside the hotel. We got in late at night; when I opened our curtains in the morning our view was of the roof and […] HVAC equipmet that went about a story above our second floor room. The room needed some TLC- ceiling had been patched but not finished and carpet was pulling away from the wall. Had to work on the tub to get the stopper/drain working properly. Overall, I'd say the room was worth about half what we paid for it. On a good note, breakfast was included in the rate and excellent, free internet worked without incident, the shuttle ran on time, and the staff, again was excellent. No plans to stay here again, though. Read more

"Customer Service?"
I requested 2 double beds but they had run out. The girl at the desk was not very helpful. Her solution was to put 3 of us in a room with a queen bed. I asked to speak to the manager and he immediately came up with a solution, a king room with a rollaway bed. That was fine since it was just for the night.

"Stay at hilton garden jfk"
It was a nice facility with a nice location. The room was clean, elegant and well-supplied and everything was in working order. I was not happy that they charged a significant fee for parking. We ended up parking on the street for free, which worked out fine, but I had expected that after spending that much money on a room, they would be less stingy […] about letting us park in their lot, especially as it isn't the most savory of neighborhoods to have to park on the street. Also, when we asked if they could give us some extra shampoo, they told us to use what we had and ask for more if we ran out. The shampoo they had ended up being enough, but once again, it seemed like they were being rather stingy with their supplies considering how much we were paying them for us to stay there. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, though. No major complaints Read more
"Difficult Axcess"
Once your are at this hotel it is fine, but axcess to it is very confusing. We got lost a number of times.
"Good value for Money"
A good choice. I had the choice of the Hilton Inn and another hotel close by. I must say that I'm not disappointed with the selection. The room was cozy and the front desk staff most helpful and pleasant. I do have one small critisim. I dinned for breakfast only once during my stay (was there for a business conference) and on the particular morning […] I had a long wait to be served from the chef assisted buffet line. Read more

"Perfect for Our Needs"
Literally minutes from JFK with an extremely efficient shuttle service to and from the airport, this hotel perfectly met our needs. While the room had no view, we didn't expect or need one. Small but extremely comfortable and well-appointed, there was no airport noise at any time. The bed and bedding were luxurious and the bathroom amenities were topnotch. […] All the hotel personnel, from front desk to restaurant to housekeeping, were friendly, competent and aimed to please. The next time we need a quick overnight stay in Brooklyn, we're staying at the Hilton Garden Inn. Read more

"Great Hotel for the $, but I little difficult to get to"
We enjoyed our stay very much, but if you don't know the New York streets, you'll have a hard time navigating to the hotel. I would recommend calling ahead for directions if you are planning on renting a car. Overall the hotel was clean, had a nice breakfast buffet and was very quiet.

"Small Hotel in Big CIty Area"
Well-positioned to JFK Airport, hotel is very cllean and quiet with comfortable beds and great service.
"Nice Location, Small Room, Service Satisfactory!"
The location of the hotel to airport and other surrounding attractions suitable. The room was very small but did in fact have the noted items and services. Small liquor bar and dining area. Wait service for breakfast was unacceptable. You were forced, in most cases, to wait on your self for breakfast! Choices for buffet breakfast was very good and price […] fair and reasonable. "Outstanding Service"
The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. The only problem that I had was the door in the back opened without a hotel key and was never locked while I was there!
"Hilton Garden Inn"
I think it was a relatively good hotel, close and convenient to JFK. i only slept there for 3 hours. the layout of my room was exceptional, neat & tidy. No complaints from my side.
