"Great value, beautiful views"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We enjoyed the convenient location(right on the Endicott campus). Literally a short walk to the beach. Staff was helpful and friendly. Bed was listed as Queen size but it was actually a full size which was a bit small for the two of us. Otherwise, very enjoyable and would stay there again.
"Very nice hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Our son goes to college close by and we would stay here again. Very clean, staff was very nice and the breakfast was a bonus. Easy to get to and plenty of places to eat close by.

"Close to North End"
Desk clerk very helpful. Arrived late and he helped us find a place to eat after everything in area closed. Room was clean and comfortable. Great location from which to walk to North End Boston.

"Totally overrated"
Dirty, poor service, and since when is a treadmill and 5 hand wieights a fitness center?
"Great location"
This hotel was in a great location. Everything was great. Rooms were on the small side but I was aware of that before I got there. The people were very friendly and helpful.

"Bulfinch Hotel - Great Location"
We recently spent two nights in this great hotel in Boston, it is in a great location - close to restaurants, pubs, shopping, the train station and historical locations. The hotel was clean and the staff were so nice and helpful. We will be staying there again!
Mold in bathroom was visibly noticable and the odor so strong. Appeared that it had not been cleaned in a while.
"March 26, 2012"
The hotel was very convenient to the TD Garden and we had a short walk to the concert. The room appeared clean however, lighting was dim. One of the 2 beds did not have clean sheets which was not noticed until the following day when we woke up and opened the curtains to let daylight in the room. My sister is a blonde and teh sheets were covered in short […] dark hairs and grey looking. We were horrified. I would stay there again but will examine the bed sheets before we hit the hay! "Charming hotel walk to Garden and Fanueil Hall"
The entire staff was SO nice! I can't remember when I've encountered such a friendly and helpful front desk.
"Nice Hotel"
Stayed 5 nights recently. Location was great and price was awesome compared to other hotels in the area. Staff was very nice and helpful.

"The Bulfinch Hotel in Boston-near TD Garden Center"
The hotel room was book for to guests, but only had one set of soap and shampoo, and only one bathrobe. The room was very clean. Overall service was excellent and any requests for more soap, etc at the front desk were addressed quickly. The view from the top 9th floor was quite good too. It was just a short two minute walk from the subway which we took […] from the free airport shuttle drop-off. Read more

"Bulfinch, Boston"

"Perfect location"
Everything I wanted to do was easily within walking distance. The building itself is old, and one can sometimes see evidence of this (Shower needed to be regrouted), but everything is kept clean and tidy. Hot water was almost immediate, which surprised me in an older building on a top floor. Only complaints, were the bedding was a little thin, and […] there is no conditioner with the bathroom toiletries, and with the wind and the cold, my hair NEEDED some conditioner. Staff was very helpful, at one point, when I came down to the restaurant to order breakfast, the waitress offered to bring it up to my room for me, when it was ready. Late checkout wasn't a problem, and they always had a cab or shuttle there within minutes, if needed. I was traveling with my wheelchair-using daughter, and they made the experience as smooth as possible. Read more

"Good location"
Great location and neat old building, however lacking a bit in regards to service and upkeep of the hotel. I was stuck needing a car rental during my stay and the parking is was very expensive, valet service was slow and limited in regards to early and late hour availability.
"Garden Stay"
Bulfinch perfect stay near garden for concert and the Fours bar excellent. Rooms are small, but very comfortable. Parking pricey...do self park. Check in a breeze. Recommend...
"Location, location, location"
Older property but in great shape. Staff is great. Very good menu. One block from TD garden and other great locations for after game food & beverage. Plan a return in Feb.
"Just ok for me"
This hotel was just ok for me, room was very small and very outdated. It is the perfect hotel if visiting TD Garden, just a couple blocks away. Staff was nice. Hotel could use some TLC. Hallways smelled like dirty feet, each time in the hallway the maid was spraying carpet powder to cover smell. Could see out in hallway from room. Could hear all the […] noise from the rooms around us, kept me up all night. Read more

"Smelly room, cheap furniture"
Not worth the price savings. The staff was nice. But the room smelled of some funny cleaning solution and I did trust that the sheets were clean. The room gave me the creeps.

We would definitetly return to this hotel.
"OK"
Room was OK except for a patched hole in the wall that wasn't sanded or painted, a bad uneven paint job above the bed and shower tiles in disrepair. For the money it was OK. If it was their regular rate it would not be.

"The Bulfinch Hotel"
Good location for a good price
"Bulfinch"
Stayed at this hotel during a bruins game. Location was very convienent but trying to find parking was a huge pain. Could not find the "self parking" that I was told was close so I ended up having to pay $45 to park for the night. Also the pillows in the room were a little uncomfortable but overall it was a great hotel and stay!
hotel is clean.parking for overnite stay is expensive.Convienient for travellers without a car. no fridge and microwave in the rooms. have a general one. otherwise, the stay was nice.

"Bulllfinch Hotel, Boston"
A very convenient location for North End, Boston Garden, & Quincy Market. Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was small, but very clean. There were some maintenance issues in our room: sliding door of bathroom had punched a hole in wall where it hit the door stop. Shower faucet had several loose screws. Lights in room were not very […] bright; inadequate for reading. We would stay there again. Read more
"Everybody knows the Bulfinch"
When asked where I stayed, people knew where it was and what it was about. The Bulfinch is in a prime location. Its right next to the TD Garden and within blocks of multiple restaurants and nightlife options, including Fanuel Hall. Walking outside at any hour was safe. There are meters out front, but for overnight you could choose either valet or self […] public park a block away. Supposedly there are a limited number of free on street visitor spots near "north end" but I didn't bother looking for long. I was in a king suite that had plenty of room and was furnished just right. There was no bathtub but a shower with decent room. Overall, the hotel and room was pretty clean. Yes, the lobby wasn't big but there was a computer, plenty of seating and its not usually crowded even on a weekend. What do you expect from a wedge shaped building? The TVs were old school but there was a decent channel selection. Lotion, shower gel, soap, shampoo and coffee are stocked in the room. From personal experience they have toothbrushes and toothpaste if you forget. The tapas bar downstairs cooked a good meal. Read more
"The Bulfinch Hotel - a true bargain"
Boutique vibe with pleasant staff and good location. 1/3 of the price of hotels at Copley Plaza. 2 minute walk to the Boston Garden. Right next to Government Center. Near some great Irish pubs. Magnificent view of sunset and skyline from 9th floor room. Free homebaked cookies and hot cocoa during happy hour Tuesdays. Minuses: very small rooms, low mood […] lighting not condusive to getting work done, no in-room wifi with data cable too short for working on laptop in bed. TV is not flatscreen and some channels had fuzzy reception. All-in-all, a bargain. Read more
"XYZ"
Great value; but park near by and save $20 in the process. Hotel charges $42 overnight, parked around the corner for $20.
"Loved Almost Everything"
Just returned from a 3 day stay at the Bulfinch. The hotel is very comfortable, quiet & well situated for accessing the "T" (subway). We got helpful info from the staff, they addressed any needs we had & made sure we got the refrigerator in our room before we arrived. I had read all the previous reviews so I was prepared for a small room w/ poor lighting. […] Yes, the caulking should be replaced in the shower & no, the carpet behind the beds had not been vacuumed for a while. When we pulled out the bed to use the electrical plug there was lots of food debris & a liquor bottle. BUT, I would stay there again for sure. The beds were perfect w/ double sheeting. No hair conditioner so I bought some around the corner so no biggie. Go for it! Read more
"The Bulfinch in Boston-All within walking distance"
We were very happy with the surrounding area and all that we could walk to. You can watch a game at the Gardens then walk to the North End for dinner. The Bulfinch is also close to the Freedom Trail which leads you to the Paul Revere House and the Old North Church plus other historical sites.
"too expensiive"
I paid $33 parking fee because hotel didn't have parking lot. I think that hotel need to get a discount near lot. In addition, not included breakfast.
The Staff were wonderful. But the size of the room was a big surprise to us. No refrigator was different . Plus was never told about the parking until after we booked the hotel. The location was excellent since we had to go to Mass. General Hospital. I wouldn't stay a week at this hotel because the room was so small!!!!!!
"Bulfinch Boston - Location is the value"
Great location near The Garden. Room was clean. Staff friendly. However, the TV was older model with poor reception. Low water pressure in the shower. Good place to stay for one or two nights in Boston because of proximity to everything.
