"PROXIMITY THE KEY"
Yes, it is a beautiful hip, chic, hotel. Yes, the staff is as friendly as accommodating as can be. Yes, it's two blocks from the T and Faneuil Hall. Plenty of restaurants and bars around the block. Great choice for anyone.Genuine Expedia guest review
We were very excited to be staying at such a centrally located, historic hotel. I was not very pleased with the size of our room but the staff friendliness and willingness to be of ANY assistance really made up for that! Besides, we were simply sleeping in our room. I was also worried about eating breakfast before leaving for the day, thinking it would […] be packed and a long wait. It was actually quite lovely and laid back! We didn't feel rushed and were given such wonderful treatment! It was absolutely like no other hotel breakfast/restaurant ever! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Fantastic location; room was great. Hotel staff were great and restaurant/bar were great as well.Genuine Expedia guest review
Overall I had a good stay. This place is a solid 4-star. But you can never erase first impressions. When we arrived, the first thing I noticed when walking in the front door was the smell of an air freshener (or scented candle?) that smelled cheap. I also just don't like to smell air fresheners in general. Then as most travelers, I needed to use the […] bathroom upon arrival and was directed to a dingy, under-lit restroom in the basement. The stairwell to the basement was equally unwelcoming. They really need a restroom in the lobby! Other than that, be prepared for small rooms and low lighting in the guest-rooms and bathrooms. There are some nice touches here and there. The staff is very friendly and the bar/restaurant area is very nice, comfortable and decent food and service. Rooms are clean. I would stay here again. "overall great experience"
The Hotel, staff, amenities, location, and accessibility are all great. The rooms are very nice, and modern, but very small. The overall size of the room was our only complaint - with a king bed, and an open armoire type piece of furniture (there was no closet), there was virtually no space to move around; I literally had to slide sideways between the […] end of the bed and the armoire. For the price, we would have hoped for a bit more space. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Hotel with Helpful & Friendly Staff"
Cute room, decor was very different from any other hotel that I've ever stayed in. Great location, walking distance from the TD Garden and subway station. The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. Highly recommended.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel in the middle of Boston"
This hotel is near everything (two blocks away from the TD Garden and 15 minutes from the common park). The hotel rooms are rather small but very clean and nice. Staff was very helpful. I would totally recommend this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great hotel. Good location. But a little overpriced. With a discount this is worth every penny.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great Location small room"
We chose the Boxer for the location to "famous Boston sights". The hotel was charming, room clean, but VERY small. Desk staff were friendly and able to help us find our way to sights we wanted to see. Breakfast was on the pricey side with okay service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"2 beds, 1 very uncomfortable bed"
The location is great, easy to get to everything in Boston. The only problem was there was 1 chair in the room and it was extremely uncomfortable. Since I was traveling with a companion, one of us often had to wait for the other with no good place to sit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed at the boxer because we were going to see a celtics game. It was really close to the arena and to parking which was great. The aquarium, science center, and Quincy market were all within easy walking distance. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. No complaints, it was a great stay! I would definitely come here again!Genuine Expedia guest review
It's a great little hotel! Quiet, but not stuffy! Very friendly staff!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, more to be desired from staff."
We were excited for our stay in Boston. A mid-week getaway of sorts, we arrived at the hotel to find that the staff was less than friendly and at times outright rude. We attempted to use their services for food recommendations but ended up searching for locations on our phone instead. The attitude and demeanor of one individual in particular caused […] us to avoid using the front desk services over our two day stay. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great location, friendly staff"
We went to a celtics game and we only had to walk 2 blocks to make it back to the hotel. Staff are really friendly and helpful..love it! We will came back for sure.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Conveniently located near government center"
The the staff is capable, helpful and friendly. The restaurant has cozy seating in addition to a small bar. On the whole, it is set up more for drinking than eating (mostly padded seats and coffee tables). This is echoed in the sparse menu, but the food was good and reasonably priced.Genuine Expedia guest review

The Boxer was very right around the corner from TD Bank, The staff was very friendly and the room was comfortable. "Mess Up at Check in time"
We got there at 12:00 Noon, parked the car, left our bags with the hotel staff, went to the Bruins game. Got back to the hotel at 5:15 to check in and they told us that it would be another 45 minutes before our room was ready. The check in time was 3:00 pm. Their excuse was that they were very busy. The offered to comp us breakfast, but didn;t check […] our hotel reservation to see we had already bought the breakfast package. The hotel staff really did nothing to make the situation any better. "Nice Historic Boston hotel"
It was a very clean hotel with great staff. I live in the Boston area, and therefore i didn't expect a large room as it is in an older building, but they seemed to put too much furniture in the room so it was incredibly difficult to move around from one side of the room to the other. The bathroom was fairly large though, and all common areas of the […] hotel were very nice. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"all in all, pretty nice place!"
The free breakfast was very slow, consequently very crowded! There was only one wait person on staff and she had her hands full. almost seemed like the hotel was totally unprepared for our visit. Same withthe valet service. It took 45 minutes to get our car.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Room was great but service was outrageous"
My first impression of the hotel was fantastic. When we checked in the hotel staff was friendly, accommodating and helpful. Room was beautiful. However the next morning of our stay--it was a completely different story. We went to get breakfast and the service in the hotel restaurant was actually unbelievable. There was one waitress for the entire restaurant, […] though there were only 5 or so groups. Having been a server previously, I know it can be stressful but 5 tables is nothing. We waited over 40 minutes before the waitress gave us menus (after she asked for our order and we told her we never saw a menu). It took another 25 before we ordered coffee (and water that was never delivered) and meals. We weren't given silverware, set ups, napkins or even sugar for the coffee and food. Our orders were wrong, food came out cold--all with no acknowledgement from the management staff. Very disappointing. After a failed breakfast, we were informed it would be 2 hours for valet to pull up our car with no explaination. I asked for my keys and went to find the car myself. The location of which was not recorded on the valet ticket by the hotel, and was not even on the level I was informed about, so I walked around the garage freeze for 20 minutes. All in all--worst possible experience. I felt like I was in a National Lapoon movie. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"One night stay Close to TD garden"
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was small but nice and cozy. Charming for overnights.Genuine Expedia guest review
Very close to TD Bank Garden, only a few minutes walk from Fanuiel Hall. Nice little hotel. However we had a room right next to the elevator and every time the elevator moved we could hear it. Also has very thin walls, which meant everyone waiting for the elevator sounded like they were in our room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed at the Boxer for one night. Spent weekend in Boston to see the Bruins and American Idiot @ Boston Opera house. I thought the location was great; close to everything including good restaurants, museums and pubs/ bars. The staff were quite friendly and we were able to check into our room very early...11:15 am on a Saturday! (Normal check-in […] is 3 pm). The room was a little snug but not a big deal since we were not in our room much anyway. Overall a good place to stay if in Boston for a few days. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Stayed in the Boxer after attending a Celtics game at the TD Garden. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and very very clean. Our room was relatively small, but so comfortable! "Great hotel, in a perfect location"
This hotel is perfect for whatever you're looking to do in Boston. We have stayed here several times after going to a Bruins or Celtics game. Recently we stayed there and walked over to the North End for a wonderful dinner. I would highly recommend this hotel!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Comfortable, clean, and close to TD Garden."
Great choice for attending an event at the Garden. Also just a short walk to Faneuil Hall. Great room, fresh breakfast, friendly staff. We are a family of four (two teens), so the room was a little tight, but all the good qualities made it bearable. Would definitely choose this hotel again.Genuine Expedia guest review
What a wonderful location! Easy walking distance to Quincy Market, the North End and Beacon Hill and mass transit. Service was excellent and friendly from the time we walked in the door. Can't wait to go back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Room Was To Small"
Basically tripping over luggage everyday my room# 904 should be for one bed not a double bed. Everything else was greatGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very close to TD Garden and Quincy Market"
The hotel and location were great but service was a bit slow. They could've used more people at the front desk and for valet, especially during check in/check out peak times. Parking is valet but not on-site, so they recommend calling 15-30 min ahead for your car.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, friendly and steps away from TD Garden"
We were in town for a hockey game at the Garden and The Boxer is just a few steps away from it. Our room was immaculate if a bit too cozy. The hotel had valet parking which is incredibly convenient and competitively priced (when compared to garages in the area). We had our meals at The Finch, the onsite restaurant. Both the breakfast and dinner menus […] are a bit contrive and overpriced, as you would expect but the service was very friendly. I absolutely recommend The Boxer if you have anything to do in North End. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Lovely room...once we actually got to it!"
When we checked in we were provided with our keys and went up to our assigned room. When I opened the door the room was tiny with a bunk bed in the corner. I had booked a room with two Double Beds so I knew we had been given the wrong room. I went back down to the front desk and dealt with a different front desk staff person and I explained the whole […] issue to them and was told by another staff person who had been listening in to my conversation that they were fully booked and had to rearrange some guests rooms. I found it interesting that nothing was mentioned to me during the check in process and I said that this was not acceptable as I had booked months ago and wanted my double room. The staff person just kept saying that there was nothing she could do and apologized for the inconvenience. I did not accept this response and stated that something would need to be done as I was not sleeping in bunk beds when I booked two double beds. The staff person then said she would look into what she could do and asked me to wait in the lobby. About 5 mins. later she returned and said she was able to "accommodate me" and moved me to a room with two double beds. We went up to our new assigned room and the keys did not work. I returned to the front desk and the keys then had to be reprogrammed. The staff person then accompanied us to our room to ensure the keys worked. Once in the room that we actually booked and paid for we were happy with our surroundings. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Reasonably priced and close to great restaurants"
This hotel is about 3 blocks from the North Station subway stop, which is on the Green and Orange lines, so it is easy to get around town. The hotel is clean and modern. The rooms are not large, and there is no closet, but there is a rack with plenty of hangars, and the usual amenities (refrigerator, snacks, TV, toiletries) are good. The restaurant […] is minimal, but the breakfast is good. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect for a long weekend!"
We were visiting for a Friday night Celtics game - couldn't be a better location for the TD Garden. It is right around the corner and about a 2 minute walk. As for other areas of Boston, it is a little out of the way, but easy access to the Freedom Trail, the North End and Beacon Hill if you don't might a few blocks of walking. Unfortunately, our reservation […] for the first night got overbooked so the hotel staff reimbursed us for that night and sent us around the block to a neighboring hotel. It was a disappointment and a huge inconvenience to walk our luggage across multiple busy streets. The staff took care of it but the customer service could have been better. Once we were finally in our room, we couldn't have been happier. Beautiful views (9th floor) and comfortable bed and great amenities. Very small, but you can't expect much in a historic building in Boston. We had trouble ordering room service as well but again, the staff took care of it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
