"Small rooms with awkward layout but good location"
We booked the "suite" which is supposedly their largest rooms that can fit 4 adults but it was disappointingly small. The main problem was that the layout of the room was weird - it was more of a L-shaped room instead of the usual rectangular one. This resulted in the furnitures being arranged in a manner that made the room cramped and difficult to […] move around. My husband and I were in Boston for our first vacation in quite some time. We reserved a king room and when we arrived, there were only rooms with 2 smaller beds available. We ended up sleeping in separate beds on our planned romantic trip. The room we got was OK, but it was very cramped and difficult to get between the end of the bed and the desk. […] The hotel attempted to make up for this situation with 2 free drinks at the bar, but when we went to the bar we waited for at least 15 minutes (other patrons were at the bar eating/drinking already) and didn't see a bartender/server and ended up just going on our way. My first impression of the hotel was fantastic. When we checked in the hotel staff was friendly, accommodating and helpful. Room was beautiful. However the next morning of our stay--it was a completely different story. We went to get breakfast and the service in the hotel restaurant was actually unbelievable. There was one waitress for the entire restaurant, […] though there were only 5 or so groups. Having been a server previously, I know it can be stressful but 5 tables is nothing. We waited over 40 minutes before the waitress gave us menus (after she asked for our order and we told her we never saw a menu). It took another 25 before we ordered coffee (and water that was never delivered) and meals. We weren't given silverware, set ups, napkins or even sugar for the coffee and food. Our orders were wrong, food came out cold--all with no acknowledgement from the management staff. Very disappointing. After a failed breakfast, we were informed it would be 2 hours for valet to pull up our car with no explaination. I asked for my keys and went to find the car myself. The location of which was not recorded on the valet ticket by the hotel, and was not even on the level I was informed about, so I walked around the garage freeze for 20 minutes.
