"The place to stay in St. Lucia"
There was our second trip The Body Holiday. We returned because of the location, facility, and most importantly, the staff. Every staff member has a smile on their face, stops to talk to you, and is genuinely interested in learning about your time at the resort. There is something for everybody at The Body Holiday. You can learn to sail, scuba, water […] ski, play golf, take exercise classes, or just spend the day on the beautiful beach, making sure the ocean doesn't go anywhere. Included in your stay, is a daily spa treatment. That spa treatment can be a massage, facial, or body wrap. Some American men may be rolling there eyes, but don't knock any of it until you have tried it. Most of the clientele is European, mainly British. This is a real plus, because you get the opportunity to meet different and interesting people. The dining tends to run on a European schedule. Lunch doesn't start till 12:30pm, and can be as heavy or light as one desires. Dinner isn't until 7:30, but is one of the highlights of the day. You can eat in the Caribleu dining area ( an open air restaurant), Tao (an exquisite high end, not to be missed meal) or the more informal Beach Grill. This resort is for adults. They recommend nobody under the age of 16. This is not because of any craziness, they simply do not cater in any way to children. There are no kids menus or activities. Two families with teen and young adult children spent several days there for a perfect vacation. The kids tried the scuba, snorkeling, kayaking, catamarans, waterskiing, samba dancing, and massage treatments. And they ate and drank a lot. The adults did some of the above, with more spa treatments, some yoga, and less eating and drinking. It was very […] easy to do anything anyone wanted to try. Our kids would've like a livelier night scene, it is mostly middle aged and older couples, but we parents were happy to keep them more focused on all of the activities offered during the day. "Nice, but overpriced"
We had a great time but this was mostly due to the beach and watersports. Food was pretty good, room was nice but much less than expected for $1000 per night (grand luxury waterfront), we had much nicer rooms and as good or better food in couples/sandals type resorts in DR and Jamaica.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would Absolutely Stay Here Again"
We loved the bodyholiday! We never repeat places, especially in the Caribbean since it's sort of like one you've seen one place, you've kind of have seen them all - but this is now the exception! "Total Body Bliss!"
My husband and I recently spent one full week of what I now call "Body Bliss" at The Body Holiday Le Sport resort and spa. The food was fantastic (and I'm a foodie snob), the staff and service were phenomenal and the the wide range of inclusive activities and outstanding spa treatments kept us feeling like Royalty! A special call-out is required of […] a few terrific members of the resorts' team-- Sir Calvin (as we called him) who manages the clubhouse bar and dining area is the official customer-service captain!! Sir Calvin-- please put the 'Elijah Special' drink on the menu-- Elijah can tell you the ingredients, we loved it!! Ambrose does an amazing job keeping all of the flowers and landscaping breath-takingly beautiful! And Ms. Mini (native of Bali, Indonesia) has magical hands and provides an authentic Bali massage that one should not miss!! 'Ms. Dayanne' in concierge handles her business extremely well, and makes sure your stay is great! "A completely restful and rejuvenating expereince."
Overall, one of the finest resorts we have stayed at. The Caribbean can sometimes render resorts somewhat shabby in appearance, not true here. The property and the hotel were pristine. The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive to your needs. While sitting on the beach, you "raise your flag" and within minutes a staff person is there to […] attend to whatever your needs. There is a plethora of activities included, sailing, water skiing, tubing, to name a few. If booking through Expedia, it is definitely advisable to go directly to the resort website and book your inclusive daily spa treatments in advance. We did not do this, and the resort generated a random schedule before our arrival. The problem is that most of those appointments were early in the morning, which is the least popular time. Trying to reschedule to the afternoon was nearly impossible. As for the room, they were neat and comfortable. While they say there are 110V outlets in each room, ours had only one, and none in the bathroom. It was a minor inconvenience, but adapters would have been helpful. This was our best experience in the Caribbean to date. We did not really like Jamaica or Antigua, but we would go back to The BodyHoliday in St. Lucia in a minute. "Best. Hotel. Ever."
This hotel is awesome. The staff is second to none, the food is delicious and it's very clean. My girl got seasick on the sunset cruise that is on a large boat, I told the staff and they called up Eric who whisked us away to the mainland to go back to the hotel on a windsail type boat. How's that for awesome service? I'll definitely be back. Also, […] I noticed a lot of couples at this resort---guys if you want to score major points with your woman book it now!!! We had a great time at BodyHoliday. It's a pricey hotel but has excellent facilities to compensate. The All Inclusive resort includes lots of extras that you don't normally get such as a complimentary spa treatment each day, watersports (inc shore diving) and an excellent array of activities for both mind and body. Second stay at this Le Sport hotel and it has got even better. The spa and the sports activities are plentiful and the food superb. Staff are friendly although somewhat forgetful. The key to this resort is the combination of a secluded location in a beautiful sheltered bay and plenty to do.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Beautiful Island, lovely resort."
The hotel is beautifully situated on a well landscaped property. It is kept immaculately. We went there to celebrate an anniversary and could not have been treated better by the staff who with rare exception, went out of their way. There is lot's to do!! Almost too much in fact! If you are active you will love it, if not then you will be fine as well […] as there are pools, the beach, and the spa. The rooms are comfortable. The furniture and some of the linens are a little well worn and we had some problems with condensation coming up through the tiles making for a slippery floor. It is worth paying for the sea view. After a few hiccups on arrival, our room was not available until the next day but they made the move smooth and easy and we really had a delightful stay after that. What was exceptional? The Deli and it's staff. Food there is very tasty and healthy. Tao provided outstanding service and a great sense of humor. Also every buffet at the Clubhouse was delicious. Just a great place to sit as well. Tea time and scones I am missing now. The Bodyguards were great. The only downers I can think of were some of the guests who would commandeer loungers and cabanas for the day while off around the resort. This happened a lot and many of us walked the beach looking for chairs while many remained empty, with only a book or hat, sometimes for hours. Also I would hope the piano player seeks new employment because he really doesn't enjoy his job. A great week! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Holiday of a lifetime"
We had a sea view room with balcony and effective air conditioning that ran quietly enough for night time usage. We relaxed in the afternoon in hammocks and sunbeds on the lawn in a cooling shady location under swaying palm trees. All the sun bed areas are serviced by attentive and friendly beach staff, who bring out iced water buckets and drinks on […] request. With towel stacks everywhere there are no worries about bringing towels down from the room. For a foodie like it me it was heaven. I was able to get protein shakes during the day and there were plenty of vegetarian, dairy and gluten free options at all meals. For me though the resort's Wellness Centre is really what made it special. Set in a temple and located on a hilltop overlooking the complex, this is a lovely place to relax and unwind with a cooling breeze and the sound of bird song in the background. Daily massage and other treatments are included in the package and it is possible to pay extra for other more specialist treatments, such as Ayurvedic massage. Above all else though it was the St Lucian staff who made it the most wonderful experience. Caring, empathetic, friendly and genuine their level of customer service was something I had not encountered anywhere else. All this amounted to the holiday of a lifetime where we made friends, relaxed and felt cared for. Here's to the next time but for now we have many lasting memories. "Intimate High End Resort with Amazing Spa"
Our family of five recently stayed at The Body Holiday resort. It was our first visit to the property and we were very pleased with everything. The staff is friendly and polite, the property is clean and appealing, the Spa is very impressive, the waterfront is very pleasant, and the food is excellent. Many activities are included in the All Inclusive […] with only a few items that are extra cost if you wish to utilize. As minimum age is 16, it is NOT a property for young childrren, and hence that adds appeal for those of us with older children. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

I went here recently for a weeks break with my two daughters, aged 18 and 19. I have stayed in some lovely hotels over the years and this one is right up there and was excellent in every way. The staff are so helpful and friendly especially in the restaurants and on the beach. The food and drink were lovely. We had a garden room each which worked out cheaper than a room for three and this was brilliant. The Wellness centre is amazing and the choice of treatments and activities is second to none. We were spoilt for choice and will definitely try and return to do all the things we didn't have time for. Highly recommend. Oh and I would even feel comfortable staying in this hotel for a break on my own, saw some guests doing just this.
"Love this place"

This was our sixth visit to this resort and each year it gets better. When you work hard and endure the stresses and strains its important to have a great holiday to look forward to and that's what we get here. The resort, food, activities and service is all of a great standard but what makes this place is the staff. From the house keeping team, the grounds workers, restaurants, bars, spa, front desk, reservations, special events to the activities teams there is a very warm welcome. Thank you all. We stay in the luxury ocean view category rooms and find them more than adequate for our needs (and I'm quite fussy) as you really do only use them to shower and sleep in. This year they had had a makeover and I really liked the sea/sky themed colours. We organised our trip to coincide with their Jive June programme. Last year we were so inspired by Kele Baker that we took up Argentine Tango when we got back home so were looking forward to learning something new again this year. We got to show Kele what we'd achieved and enjoyed a private lesson where she gave us some invaluable tips to help with our tango development. We also tried salsa and cha cha cha with the lovely Andrew Cuerden. It's great to come home from holiday with a new skill :) my partner also tried some of the dance fitness classes (street dance and dance step) with the legend that is Mr Dean Hodgkin. He learnt some great routines that make you work hard without realising it because you are having so much fun. We ate at all the restaurants except Windows. Our favourite is still Cariblue, we love the menu choices and the staff in here. We did have an issue one night where we'd ordered supplemental dishes and unfortunately service was very slow that evening for some reason. We didn't have to say anything and were visited by the food and beverage manager who apologised profusely and credited our additional items. This issue whilst annoying at the time was resolved to our complete satisfaction so we didnt let it ruine our otherwise great stay. Tao was better than last year but we still miss the beef medallions and duck confit of yesteryear. Service on one night was amazingly quick and on a second night really quite slow but again we went with the flow. The grill is great for quick informal eats, especially if you have too many drinks after volleyball ;) and the deli does great coffees sandwiches salads etc. We enjoy many of the activities on offer, morning walks, spinning, tennis, water volleyball, beach volley ball, dancing, golf, running, swimming (organised sea swims) and the gym but there is still plenty we haven't done such as scuba, Pilates, yoga and a whole host of water sports. The spa treatments have you chilled in no time and its quite entertaining meeting up at the water station and listening to everyone yawning and saying how relaxing their treatments were. There is also an organised sunset cruise where you are taken by bus to Rodney Bay where a catamaran awaits to take you by sea up to the resort. A great way to see where you are staying from another angle. The rum punch flows, the tunes bellow and the boat rocks with the dancing before returning to the resort for a beach barbecue. The journey to the resort from the airport is a bit of a drag but enjoy the scenery. This year we had private transfers which I'd recommend. Within 15 minutes of landing we were in our taxi and on our way to the resort. All in all our stay delivered exactly what we needed and we can't wait to go back. M

My husband and I after much deliberation on where we wanted to spend our honeymoon decided on The bodyholiday. We had the most amazing time with the best food, drinks, activities and staff. The people that work at the resort made our vacation. They were so friendly and helpful and by the end of the trip my husband knew most of the staff by name. I would recommend this trip to anyone wanting a nice beach holiday with friends or family or even alone. We will definitely will be coming back to this resort.
"Every visit is the "best ever"!"

Back from another glorious fortnight at LeSport, visit 18 and "the best ever" - can it get any better?! Fabulous resort and facilities, wonderful staff, can't fault a thing. Went May / June so caught the first week of Jive June which was superb with a wide variety of dance classes by Dean Hodgkin and Andrew Cuerden. Every day is a perfect day from 7am spinning to midnight Chairman's nightcap. Visit 19 already booked up for November / December which says everything really - my home from home!
"Great experience, love the resort"
07/07/14 cdp1973 Ottawa, Canada
Our experience at BodyHoliday was everything we could have wanted. The room: We had an Oceanfront Luxury Jr Suite. Great size, clean, nicely decorated, nice bathroom. The only suggestion to make it better would be to stock the fridge with more than a bottle of water. Given that the bar and restaurants aren't close to the premium rooms, it would have been nice to have a small selection of drinks in the room. The restaurants: I can't say enough about them. The 3 restaurants were all excellent. While the resort is known for TAO, the new Windows restaurant was making some of the best food I've ever had. We didn't have a bad meal all week. Even the buffet breakfast and lunches were great. The spa: As many reviewers have commented, the rooms aren't fancy, but who cares. Most of the time, you're lying face down on a table or face up with something over your eyes. The staff were excellent and the treatments were very good. We used both the inclusive treatments, and paid for additional items. I have to give points to the staff here. There was a mixup in the booking for one of my wife's additional treatments. When she arrived she was told the massage therapist was busy with another patient, so my wife would have to wait. Disappointed, my wife left and we went to the lounge. The girl who originally booked the appointment for my wife heard what happened and about 15 minutes later, came and found us in the lounge. She had arranged for my wife to have a 30 minute bamboo massage at no charge. She also booked my wife for her original treatment at 1/2 price. Mistakes happen, and it's how you deal with it. In this case, the girl went above and beyond to fix what they clearly acknowledged was their mistake. The beach: The beach is a great size for this resort. It's never too busy, there are always chairs available, and there are tons of water activities that you can do. We rarely saw a swimming pool as we were much happier at the beach...until the last day. Something that you should be aware of if you wish to visit St. Lucia is that all beaches are public. The resorts don't "own" the beach or waterfront. On our last day, a couple guys jumped out of a small boat and started snorkelling along the edge of the designated swimming area. The boat went to the shore outside the swimming area...no problem so far. Then, the snorkelers yelled to the guys in the boat, and they took off and started dropping a fishing a net in the water. They drove their boat through they buoys into the swimming area, and were within 10 to 15 feet of us and a number of other people. They didn't care that people were in there, they weren't paying any attention to where people were swimming or the fact that their outboard motor was feet away from a group of people. They drove the boat up to shore putting many people's safety at risk, and surrounding the entire swimming area, the floating chairs, etc. They spent an hour pulling in their nets, yelling at people on the beach and calling them "idiot white people". Everyone has the right to earn a living, but not at the expense of the safety of others. If the St. Lucia government doesn't do something about this kind of thing, all resorts on the island will lose business. This is a beautiful island, but the economy is very dependent on tourism. The government had better do something to protect that revenue stream. Overall: We love this resort and would love to go back...we just need to figure out if we can get past the issue with the fishing in the swimming area. I have no idea how often this happens, but the management at the resorts have no authority to stop anyone from doing this kind of thing. My wife and I were very close to where the boat came in and we weren't sure where they were going. It was pretty unsettling as we tried to figure out whether we stay put until things stop, or try to get safely to shore.
I had the most wonderful time at the resort. The staff, especially the beach staff and Germain in particular, always were there to help. I did one of the personal programs and it was well worth it. The grounds are well kept and beautiful and the food at Tao was great. I was a solo traveller and I never felt alone with the aid of the communal table and the new friends I made! I would highly suggest a trip to this beautiful place.
"Wish I didn't have to go home!!"
07/06/14 Jacqueline W Leeds, United Kingdom
I chose this resort as a direct result of trip advisor solo traveller reviews and I wasn't disappointed. It was my first solo trip and a way to celebrate my 50th birthday. I had high expectations which were not only met but exceeded!! I was nervous about being on my own but soon made friends with the other singles there. Although there are a lot of single people This is NOT a tacky dating holiday. Everyone I met was interesting and there to relax and enjoy all the activities. The only fault was not having enough hours in the day to do everything I wanted to do!! The treatments were great, the activities were varied and there was no pressure to participate if you didn't want to. I injured my foot during my stay jumping off a windsurfer (you would think id know better at my age). This was totally my own stupid fault but the staff were great providing me with ice packs whenever requested. Thankfully nothing serious and didn't stop me from having a good time. I ticked a few things off my bucket list in the water sports department, hence the windsurfing! I loved the sailing teaming up with another solo novice. From the welcome drink as soon as I stepped out of the minibus to the hospitality suite on my departure I couldn't fault the resort, the food, the room or the staff. If anyone has any doubts about visiting this resort then banish them to the back of your mind. You won't be disappointed I promise.
"Fantastic place faultless"

I am currently staying at The BodyHoliday, LeSport, typing this as I sit in my beautiful room overlooking the Carribean. We have just come back from our Sunset cruise with Dennis driving our speedboat, (who made our trip fun ) to return to a fantastic barbecue with a steel band playing. I can not fault this place, the food, the staff, nothing is too much to ask. The treatments are fantastic, the ambience of the place is so friendly. I would not hesitate to come back here.
"Can't stop thinking about our experience...may be ruined for all other All-Inclusives!!"
07/04/14 Leslie P Kelowna, Canada
This was our first trip to St. Lucia and our first trip to an All-Inclusive venue and we can't stop thinking about our experience! At every turn, we found the staff to be friendly, approachable and very happy to help make our holiday wonderful! The food service staff were amazing at accommodating a severe food allergy in our party: always offering advise on what was safe and providing suggestions for safe substitutions in the menu. The Water Sports staff provided excellent instruction and made you feel at ease trying new challenges. And the service staff on the beach were top-notch. So friendly! We felt like we got to know many of the staff personally, as they were so friendly and ready to chat. I cannot express how wonderful the Spa staff are at this resort. Everyone was warm, friendly and seemed well skilled in the services they were providing. Upgraded services are available; however, the inclusive treatments were amazing and the staff never pushed to sell an upgrade. We did splurge on an upgraded treatment, by the way....exceptional service and value for the upgrade! The fitness classes offered were diverse and persons of every fitness level had options for participation. We particularly enjoyed the water aerobics, body stretch and meditation classes. The teachers were amazing, motivating and seemed genuinely concerned with your well-being. The quality of the food and table service was wonderful! The food was fresh and healthy and there were, of course, many opportunities for treats!! Our favourite time of the day was the afternoon tea. Spectacular views with sparkling wine and finger sandwiches....our twist on traditional afternoon tea! Although our room would benefit from a renovation in the near future, it was very clean and well maintained. You will likely not spend much time in your room at this resort, however, as it is too amazing to stay inside for long! Overall this resort is absolutely amazing! We met so many wonderful people, from the staff to other guests. We were already planning our next trip before our first visit was done!! We cannot wait to return to this resort and have not been able to stop raving about it to our friends, family and basically anyone who will listen!
"A step up from Rendezvous"
07/04/14 Ianinwinchester Winchester UK
We split the time between Rendezvous and The Body Holiday so a direct comparison was easy. The overall quality of the resort is very high with excellent and clearly well trained staff in all areas. The cuisine is markedly better than Rendezvous probably due to a a highly proactive French head chef who consistently prowls around all of the restaurants ensuring everything is up to scratch--- he is even not averse to clearing tables. Obviously leads by example which is impressive. Took meals in Cariblue Restaurant, The Clubhouse and Tao.The only disappointment was Tao which we did not believe justified the hype and was frankly a little confusing in its message. Not a great fan of "fusion" food and believe it would be better to concentrate on high quality oriental cuisine rather than trying to mix it and not really succeeding. We had a Luxury Ocean Front room which was smaller than expected and with a very curious bathroom swing door design which you could not actually close---very strange design. The room did not have curtains but slat blinds between the double glazed windows. The problem is that these are totally ineffective in keeping the light out especially when there is a searchlight outside the window to light up the sea. As a result it was very difficult to sleep on the first night and the room was almost light enough to allow reading.I pointed this out to Reception the following day as we could not envisage 5 more nights like that. To their credit they actually built a new curtain rail during the day and used an improvised curtain system from sheets---did not look great but at least it reduced the light. An excellent response from the hotel so thanks for that. As we are both smokers we were a little nervous about the apparently prissy attitude to smoking indicated by previous reviewers. There are 2 smoking areas-- outside the Piano Bar and outside the Library. The Piano Bar area has only limited time when smoking is allowed and is not permitted during meal times as there are about 4 tables inly in Cariblue which border this outside area--- would not have thought this would affect anyone eating and this restriction seems over the top. Anyway the company was good in the The Library smoking area although I cannot see why smokers cannot use the open verandah area outside the Clubhouse or at least part of it. Still, best not to upset the serious faced gym bunnies who had probably moaned about this and had this rather restricted regime imposed. Still at least we could guarantee a gym bunny free zone outside the Library. The beach is also non-smoking although how they can police this beats me as all beaches in St Lucia are public areas! A more relaxed attitude in this regard would be beneficial. The Spa was lovely but lessons in smiling and customer relations maybe appropriate for some of the Therapists who did not all seem to be enjoying their work. By the way there are 78 steps up there--- i did not count but was by Reception on arriving. The main pool is not the greatest we have seen and the infinity pool was regularly used for aqua aerobics so was not often an option unfortunately. We went during Jive June so the a a large part of the evening until 21.30 when a disco or live band started, was taken up by watching various degrees of left footedness being taught how to dance--- definitely not entertaining if not participating. We would return here for the food and service but as we have been to St Lucia three times will probably choose somewhere else in the World for the next long haul.
