"The place to stay in St. Lucia"
There was our second trip The Body Holiday. We returned because of the location, facility, and most importantly, the staff. Every staff member has a smile on their face, stops to talk to you, and is genuinely interested in learning about your time at the resort. There is something for everybody at The Body Holiday. You can learn to sail, scuba, water […] ski, play golf, take exercise classes, or just spend the day on the beautiful beach, making sure the ocean doesn't go anywhere. Included in your stay, is a daily spa treatment. That spa treatment can be a massage, facial, or body wrap. Some American men may be rolling there eyes, but don't knock any of it until you have tried it. Most of the clientele is European, mainly British. This is a real plus, because you get the opportunity to meet different and interesting people. The dining tends to run on a European schedule. Lunch doesn't start till 12:30pm, and can be as heavy or light as one desires. Dinner isn't until 7:30, but is one of the highlights of the day. You can eat in the Caribleu dining area ( an open air restaurant), Tao (an exquisite high end, not to be missed meal) or the more informal Beach Grill. This resort is for adults. They recommend nobody under the age of 16. This is not because of any craziness, they simply do not cater in any way to children. There are no kids menus or activities. Two families with teen and young adult children spent several days there for a perfect vacation. The kids tried the scuba, snorkeling, kayaking, catamarans, waterskiing, samba dancing, and massage treatments. And they ate and drank a lot. The adults did some of the above, with more spa treatments, some yoga, and less eating and drinking. It was very […] easy to do anything anyone wanted to try. Our kids would've like a livelier night scene, it is mostly middle aged and older couples, but we parents were happy to keep them more focused on all of the activities offered during the day. "Nice, but overpriced"
We had a great time but this was mostly due to the beach and watersports. Food was pretty good, room was nice but much less than expected for $1000 per night (grand luxury waterfront), we had much nicer rooms and as good or better food in couples/sandals type resorts in DR and Jamaica.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We loved the bodyholiday! We never repeat places, especially in the Caribbean since it's sort of like one you've seen one place, you've kind of have seen them all - but this is now the exception! "Total Body Bliss!"
My husband and I recently spent one full week of what I now call "Body Bliss" at The Body Holiday Le Sport resort and spa. The food was fantastic (and I'm a foodie snob), the staff and service were phenomenal and the the wide range of inclusive activities and outstanding spa treatments kept us feeling like Royalty! A special call-out is required of […] a few terrific members of the resorts' team-- Sir Calvin (as we called him) who manages the clubhouse bar and dining area is the official customer-service captain!! Sir Calvin-- please put the 'Elijah Special' drink on the menu-- Elijah can tell you the ingredients, we loved it!! Ambrose does an amazing job keeping all of the flowers and landscaping breath-takingly beautiful! And Ms. Mini (native of Bali, Indonesia) has magical hands and provides an authentic Bali massage that one should not miss!! 'Ms. Dayanne' in concierge handles her business extremely well, and makes sure your stay is great! "A completely restful and rejuvenating expereince."
Overall, one of the finest resorts we have stayed at. The Caribbean can sometimes render resorts somewhat shabby in appearance, not true here. The property and the hotel were pristine. The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive to your needs. While sitting on the beach, you "raise your flag" and within minutes a staff person is there to […] attend to whatever your needs. There is a plethora of activities included, sailing, water skiing, tubing, to name a few. If booking through Expedia, it is definitely advisable to go directly to the resort website and book your inclusive daily spa treatments in advance. We did not do this, and the resort generated a random schedule before our arrival. The problem is that most of those appointments were early in the morning, which is the least popular time. Trying to reschedule to the afternoon was nearly impossible. As for the room, they were neat and comfortable. While they say there are 110V outlets in each room, ours had only one, and none in the bathroom. It was a minor inconvenience, but adapters would have been helpful. This was our best experience in the Caribbean to date. We did not really like Jamaica or Antigua, but we would go back to The BodyHoliday in St. Lucia in a minute. "Best. Hotel. Ever."
This hotel is awesome. The staff is second to none, the food is delicious and it's very clean. My girl got seasick on the sunset cruise that is on a large boat, I told the staff and they called up Eric who whisked us away to the mainland to go back to the hotel on a windsail type boat. How's that for awesome service? I'll definitely be back. Also, […] I noticed a lot of couples at this resort---guys if you want to score major points with your woman book it now!!! We had a great time at BodyHoliday. It's a pricey hotel but has excellent facilities to compensate. "Beautiful Island, lovely resort."
The hotel is beautifully situated on a well landscaped property. It is kept immaculately. We went there to celebrate an anniversary and could not have been treated better by the staff who with rare exception, went out of their way. There is lot's to do!! Almost too much in fact! If you are active you will love it, if not then you will be fine as well […] as there are pools, the beach, and the spa. The rooms are comfortable. The furniture and some of the linens are a little well worn and we had some problems with condensation coming up through the tiles making for a slippery floor. It is worth paying for the sea view. After a few hiccups on arrival, our room was not available until the next day but they made the move smooth and easy and we really had a delightful stay after that. What was exceptional? The Deli and it's staff. Food there is very tasty and healthy. Tao provided outstanding service and a great sense of humor. Also every buffet at the Clubhouse was delicious. Just a great place to sit as well. Tea time and scones I am missing now. The Bodyguards were great. The only downers I can think of were some of the guests who would commandeer loungers and cabanas for the day while off around the resort. This happened a lot and many of us walked the beach looking for chairs while many remained empty, with only a book or hat, sometimes for hours. Also I would hope the piano player seeks new employment because he really doesn't enjoy his job. A great week! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Holiday of a lifetime"
We had a sea view room with balcony and effective air conditioning that ran quietly enough for night time usage. We relaxed in the afternoon in hammocks and sunbeds on the lawn in a cooling shady location under swaying palm trees. All the sun bed areas are serviced by attentive and friendly beach staff, who bring out iced water buckets and drinks on […] request. With towel stacks everywhere there are no worries about bringing towels down from the room. For a foodie like it me it was heaven. I was able to get protein shakes during the day and there were plenty of vegetarian, dairy and gluten free options at all meals. For me though the resort's Wellness Centre is really what made it special. Set in a temple and located on a hilltop overlooking the complex, this is a lovely place to relax and unwind with a cooling breeze and the sound of bird song in the background. Daily massage and other treatments are included in the package and it is possible to pay extra for other more specialist treatments, such as Ayurvedic massage. Above all else though it was the St Lucian staff who made it the most wonderful experience. Caring, empathetic, friendly and genuine their level of customer service was something I had not encountered anywhere else. All this amounted to the holiday of a lifetime where we made friends, relaxed and felt cared for. Here's to the next time but for now we have many lasting memories. "Intimate High End Resort with Amazing Spa"
Our family of five recently stayed at The Body Holiday resort. It was our first visit to the property and we were very pleased with everything. The staff is friendly and polite, the property is clean and appealing, the Spa is very impressive, the waterfront is very pleasant, and the food is excellent. Many activities are included in the All Inclusive […] with only a few items that are extra cost if you wish to utilize. As minimum age is 16, it is NOT a property for young childrren, and hence that adds appeal for those of us with older children. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"The best for our honeymoon"
07/27/14 Koji84 Windsor, United Kingdom
Stayed there for our honeymoon in June 2012. It was the best hotel I stayed in. Luxurious place, I enjoyed the daily free massages. The beach was private, and loved being served on the beach with cool towels and drinks. Such an amazing place! Planning to go there again for our 10 years wedding anniversary Thank you to the staff of the hotel for making our stay unique!

A good 9 night holiday with my wife and step son. The resort has fantastic facilities if you are sports oriented and the inclusive treatments are very good. If you participate fully you come home for a rest! Upsides: + great range of activities from hard aerobics classes to softer stuff like mediation + early morning walk even in the rain + good water sports with free sailing, waterskiing & diving + friendly staff + we had good weather but it was pouring down when we left Downsides: - rooms are not 5 star and need refurbishment....our ocean view room was ok but the sea view obscured by Palm trees; our sons room had broken tiles in the bathroom - restaurant cariblue windows was very average and not up to its special claims - poor service at breakfast .....it took ages and several requests to get a cup of tea and coffee and this happened repeatedly - we pre paid the airport transfers to find out that the hotel does not do this. We had to pay again and will reclaim from the travel agent

My fiancé and I really enjoyed our stay at The Bodyholiday back in October. Having a daily spa treatment included makes it a very unique place. Not to mention all of the activities on offer including motorized water sports. You certainly could never get bored there! We were there 7 nights and wished we had a few extra days to enjoy some more of the activities. We filled our days with golf lessons (Hennix is a great teacher), yoga classes, sailing, tubing, snorkeling, pool volleyball and relaxing on the beach or by the pool. We also went on a couple of the morning hikes which we really enjoyed. We loved the spa treatments! The scrub and massages were awesome! So relaxing. We thought the food was excellent at all of the restaurants. They all have great ambience too. We enjoyed the afternoon tea at sunset and the delicious sandwiches and fresh juices at the deli. The bands at the bar in the evenings were fun and played good music. The staff were very friendly. The beach drink service is excellent. Amazing that they will walk out in to the water and serve you while you are floating in the sea :-) The only reason why I'm giving the resort 4 stars instead of 5 is because the design of the shower in our room caused the bathroom to be flooded after each use. Also the mattress and pillows were in need of replacement.
"A brilliant holiday"

Overall a fantastic holiday and I hope one day to return. A small and quite intimate resort, the staff can't quite do enough for you and are very attentive in a casual way which we liked. The food was very good but slightly typical of an all inclusive resort. The Tao restaurant, in which you are giveback an automatic booking of one visit per week that you stay, was excellent. The exercise classes and in particular the yoga in which I have practised for a number of years was very good. We enjoyed an inclusive treatment everyday even if to get to the treatment area you have to climb 79 steps! However, on the one day that I paid to upgrade my treatment there was a noticeable difference in the skill of the therapist and this left me feeling slightly short changed. If I return I would pre book my treatments before arrival as ours were first thing in the morning and to change then was not always possible . Overall a truly enjoyable trip.

It's one thing to read the pages of glowing reviews and something completely different to actually experience everything The Bodyholiday has to offer. My wife and I experienced spent 2 weeks at the resort in June on our Honeymoon. We were greeted by Jeremy (responsible for the Penthouse on the resort) who had been made aware of our arrival but a friend in the UK who is a return visitor and was keen to ensure we were well looked after. After a welcome drink and a cold towel we were shown to our upgraded ocean front room and assured we would be personally looked after by Jeremy throughout our stay - he made a wonderful effort and we were frequently asked if our mini bar was well stocked (I can assure you it was!) and often came back to fruit platters and afternoon tea in our room. A small touch that was well received. The resort has everything anyone could want from relentless spin sessions in the tree house, sessions with the no messing around Felix, the resort's incredibly well experienced personal trainer (my posture was a fairly serious problem according to Felix...) to snorkelling and scuba on the resort's reef - we saw everything from lion fish to moray eels and even spotted Dory from Finding Nemo. It needs stressed that there is no pressure to get involved in the activities the resort has to offer, my wife often liked nothing more than to lounge on the ocean couches getting glasses of cava navigated to her by the diligent and highly personal waterfront staff. The food was sumptuous! Everything from the local produce/ dishes (I loved the creamed wheat porridge in the morning) to a Mexican theme and if you didn't fancy sitting down in the very informal and welcoming Cariblue restaurant you could grab a smoothie and a chicken wrap from the deli that is open all day. But where the resort really differentiated for us was the staff - I simply can't overstate how friendly, genuine and just how nice everyone is at the resort. The staff member that we really hit it off with was MacGyver at the waterfront; within a day he had memorised our favourite drinks, where we liked to lie on the beach and always surprised us with a beer and a glass of cava when we least expected it! He is a credit to the resort. Other staff that we thought were superb were Antonius at the waterfront, Amanda in Tao, Kenya at Cariblue, Alison at our private beach dinner(! - awesome) and a very special mention to the Wine team (Eugene and Alex in particular, you can tell the two apart as Eugene as a moustache) who we did two wine tastings with. The general manager, Mr Husbands was personable and made every effort to ensure our expectations were met - many thanks to him for our complementary beach dinner. What could The Bodyholiday improve? Not much if truth be told. My wife and I were a bit put off at the end of the holiday when the resort took on an influx of day visitors from a cruise that had docked for the day. The characters the resort took on were utterly bizarre and seemed to treat the all-inclusive offering with a lack of respect, or at least familiarity! Queues were to be had at the deli and the noise on the resort really picked up. It felt to us that other guests were also a bit put off by this. Would we go back? In a heartbeat!
"Started great - ended terrible!"

My husband and I had a week at The Body Holiday at the beginning of this month (Jul 14) and the week started off wonderfully....afternoon arrival, beach BBQ dinner with steel band followed by a good night’s sleep and waking up to a beautiful sunny day. Most of the staff is great, apart from one or two exceptions. I echo the surly breakfast chef – but the waiting staff is friendly. I’ll correct the ‘champagne’ experience mentioned by a previous guest below, the fizz served at the resort is Cava – the supermarket variety, not champagne. Also, there is only a limited choice of house wine; one Rose and a couple of average whites or. Having said that, the cocktails are nice, especially the non-alcoholic ones. The food is ok, but it gets boring and repetitive eating at the Cariblue, the ‘TAO’ restaurant is really disappointing – nothing special. However, there were a few things that if managed well could have been forgiven, but the handling (or lack thereof) of our concerns and complaints has left a bad taste in our mouths. We both believe that you should give organisations a chance to listen to your dissatisfaction and put it right. We listed our dissatisfaction in person to someone we believed was a manager (he didn’t give his name or title at the time) and followed up by email (on invitation). We’re now in our 3rd week back and we haven’t had the courtesy of an acknowledgement let alone a response. Sadly therefore, I will post my complaint as feedback/ warning to other travellers. ***What we found disappointing - expect better from 5 Star:*** * Water not being left in the room - On Monday we asked noticed that no water had been left in our room, so we asked at the outside bar next to the Cariblue restaurant in the morning, the female attendee called through to concierge to arrange, but by 4pm no water had arrived. I called requesting water again, I waited half an hour and then had to call a 3rd time to have the water sent. Despite me asking that water is left in our room on a daily basis, we had the same issue 2 days later. * Forgotten dinner at Cariblue - We order some drinks at the bar before heading to Cariblue for dinner around 8. We placed our order with the serving staff, and received bread but not dinner. It wasn't until after we complained that all three diners that were seated after us had already had their starters and were having main course, that we recieved our meal. * Slow service in the Clubhouse bar in the evening - Quite often we had to go to the bar to get our drinks rather than service coming to us. * Poor quality yoga classes - I've been doing yoga for 14 years, I've been to yoga retreats, yoga studios as well as yoga in gym clubs and even yoga in local community centres. Whilst Samantha seems like a nice person and clearly able to 'do' yoga, the classes are the poorest I've ever experienced, there's very little guidance, explanation and creativity. There's absolutely no yoga philosophy and even the accompanying 'music' is two track bisected by an advert for the box set of the soundtrack - bizarre! This is not the quality of yoga I expect at a 5 star retreat. I could have led the class better. * Uninterested / rude Golf trainer - similarly my husband had been playing Glof for years and wanted to improve his swing. When he tried to sign up to the interemediate class, my husband was patronised and told 'don't you think you're better off in elementary' even thought he'd been playing golf for 10 years! Like me he's quite experienced and in part chose the resort to improve his golf, when he finally had his intermediate training, he felt rushed and as if the instructor wasn't very engaged or motivated. * Urgent requests being ignored - Being presented with Kent when we specifically asked Cathy for Watler in relation to the taxi incident (below). We'd just brief Walter on our poor experience, but all of a sudden he wasn't arround and Kent arrived instead with no word of explanation. Neither of whom followed up via email. ***What we found totally unacceptable - upsetting*** * Disrespectful comment from Spa staff - When I went for my second massage on Tuesday in room 33 at 2pm, the attendant seemed to have difficulty, pronouncing my first name; I corrected her to which she commented 'funny the names that parent give their kids these days' ... I was flabbergasted and advised her that my name is a traditional Indian name to which she simply replied 'my bad'. Like other guests, I too felt the afternoon massages were poor. * Guest safety being compromised - On Thursday morning, local fishermen came to the beach and brought their motorboat straight into the cordoned area where guests were swimming and snorkelling, no warning was offered by the fishermen to any of the guests in the water. This completely compromised guest safety and the fisherman only acknowledged that he should have warned swimmers after my husband and others stepped in to deal with the situation. Walter, took notes with his clipboard and the owner was present, no action was taken to protect the guest to tell them to get out of the water, nor did staff manage the altercation with the fishermen. It was really unacceptable that guests had to step in to manage the situation on your behalf. What’s more, even though they had our details, no follow or apology followed that day or the next. Indeed, I'm rather shocked that you don't have a better plan to manage the fishermen and your guests safety given that you commented that this incident happens on a regular basis. Whilst we appreciate it's a public beach and the waters are not private, we would expect more oversight of your guests safety when fishermen choose to enter the waters designated for swimming. * Poor food safety - The Clubhouse buffet lunch salad is left exposed to heat and flies - both my husband and I ate lunch there on Tuesday and suffered diarrhoea later than evening and for two further days. We thankfully brought medication with us, but we were both poorly for two days and tender for the rest of our stay. * Apparent racial bias and dismissive / rude behaviour of staff - This is the issue that was brought to the attention of Walter: On our last day after lunch, we decided to stay in the club house and sit on the sofa in the main part of the room that had benefitted from the main fan in the room. A short time later, another (white) female guest arrived and sat on the only table behind the fan in a corner of the room and asked staff to move the fan towards her for her sole benefit. Noticing that we were now getting warmer, I asked for a staff member to move it back to serve the main room as it was originally positioned. The staff member didn’t appear to be listening to me then walked to the bar, spoke to the bar tender and walked off. I waited 10 minutes and asked another staff member, she did the same and when I asked her again she said that the guest had moved the fan herself - which was a lie. When I pressed she needed to speak to the supervisor, I waited another 10 minutes and when I tried getting her attention again she held up her palm to indicate 5 minutes. I then spoke to a third team member requesting to speak to the supervisor. The supervisor finally arrived and told me that they would need to 'ask to check if the other lady would mind' before moving the fan back. I find it incredible that we ‘the brown British couple’ were not considered when the fan that was serving the main part of the room was moved away from us, and that we were fobbed off for 30 minutes whilst when the 'white British lady' asked the fan was moved immediately! As the lady and I are both guests and British, the only explanation I can find is one of racial bias – this is the first time I have ever been treated differently on account of the colour of my skin. * Blatant dishonesty – My husband confirmed our departure taxi (which we prepaid with the hotel) on 3 separate occasions, including the morning of our departure- we were told on three separate occasions that our taxi was definitely booked. Later that day, as other guest who were on the same flight had their taxis arrive and left, our failed to materialise. After lots of urgent requests on our side it and the hotels attempts to blame the taxi company, it was announced that ‘our taxi had arrived’ …. 20 minutes late! After our own investigation, it transpires that the taxi wasn’t late – IT WASN’T BOOKED in the first place – the ‘taxi that arrived’ was actually the mini-bus that was already there for a different purpose and became our ‘taxi’ on the generosity of the driver agreeing to take us to the airport otherwise we would have missed our flight. In his words he didn’t want to ‘leave us stranded’ due to the mistake of the hotel. Like I mentioned, I provided the above feedback as requested directly to the hotel - we haven’t had an acknowledgement let alone response for 3 weeks.

My second trip to this fantastic resort and I returned as on my prior trip completely relaxed. Everything about this place is amazing, the staff are so friendly, the food and activities are first class. The inclusive spa treatments left me so relaxed that I am still floating on a cloud a few days from returning as I write this review! I travelled as a single man and this is a great place for singles either if you want to meet new friends or just spend time purely on your own. I am already thinking about booking again!

I have travelled extensively to many parts of the world, and please trust me when i say "you will not be disappointed" (well not if your anyway normal) the food and variety is excellent. Breakfast has everything buffet style. The deli bar is open all day. They will make you sandwiches, salads to order and the best shakes and juices. Freshly made muffins, cakes and biscuits. Lunch is in another two restaurants to choose from. Dinner has everything. Plus the Teo restaurant you book for....This is fine dining at its best. All this with great service and wide smiles.. When you sit on the beach, your favourite drink is only a flag in the sand away! I could drone on about the spa and activities, but you could read all about that on the website. This hotel is all inclusive..you can drink all the known brands plus champagne! But most of all, for me its the best hotel if you are single. I don't know any other like it, of course you can be on your own if thats what you prefer, but they have a very discreet way of organising a large table for all new comers to eat together..after that it means you then know a few people to start with. I have been twice on my own and loved every minute. Ive met some life long friends in the process. This time i went with my boyfriend and we both had a great time together, My favourite room is definitely the deluxe ocean view, well worth the extra money.. Everyone I've ever spoken to there has been before. I cant recommend it more highly. You will love it. I promise.

We stayed here in June for 5 nights and an amazing time. The staff were friendly and helpful, the activities were fun and well organised and the food was excellent. The selection of different types of food was refreshing, and you could never feel hungry here! The inclusive daily massages were very good (I would swap the hydrotherapy session for something else). We upgraded our room to an ocean front view room and it had a stunning view especially of the sunset. We would definitely come back here again!

After reading many reviews I selected The body Holiday. It exceeded my expectations. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. The location and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. The spa treatments were the icing of the cake. Amazing! I loved the BBQ on the beach with the steel band playing. I will definitely return. I had an exceptional experience. Perfect resort! The food is great, the staff is great. Just book and you will not regret it.
