"Facilities & amenities were all that was promised."
The dining and choices were much better than my spouse and I anticipated. The staff was very friendly....everyone. Facility was very clean and pristine. The spa treatments were very professional and as a whole exceptional. No complaints whatsoever. Highly recommend to anyone.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fabulous All Inclusive"
This is a wonderful resort, where nearly everything one could want is available. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained. There are dining options for most meals and the food is uniformly delicious. They graciously accommodate any dietary request. Liquor is included, and one need only raise a flag while sitting on the beach in order to be served. […] The exercise classes and sports are first rate, as are all instructors. The daily spa treatments, which are part of the package, are relaxing and professional. We took classes ranging from zumba to pilates to yoga, worked out in the well equipped gym, water skiied, wind surfed, bicycled, snorkeled and relaxed. The staff is friendly and helpful. A perfect get-away. Most guests were British, and the place has a UK feel, including afternoon tea. A nice change from most resorts on St. Lucia that are populated with only Americans. "The place to stay in St. Lucia"
There was our second trip The Body Holiday. We returned because of the location, facility, and most importantly, the staff. Every staff member has a smile on their face, stops to talk to you, and is genuinely interested in learning about your time at the resort. There is something for everybody at The Body Holiday. You can learn to sail, scuba, water […] ski, play golf, take exercise classes, or just spend the day on the beautiful beach, making sure the ocean doesn't go anywhere. Included in your stay, is a daily spa treatment. That spa treatment can be a massage, facial, or body wrap. Some American men may be rolling there eyes, but don't knock any of it until you have tried it. Most of the clientele is European, mainly British. This is a real plus, because you get the opportunity to meet different and interesting people. The dining tends to run on a European schedule. Lunch doesn't start till 12:30pm, and can be as heavy or light as one desires. Dinner isn't until 7:30, but is one of the highlights of the day. You can eat in the Caribleu dining area ( an open air restaurant), Tao (an exquisite high end, not to be missed meal) or the more informal Beach Grill. This resort is for adults. They recommend nobody under the age of 16. This is not because of any craziness, they simply do not cater in any way to children. There are no kids menus or activities. Two families with teen and young adult children spent several days there for a perfect vacation. The kids tried the scuba, snorkeling, kayaking, catamarans, waterskiing, samba dancing, and massage treatments. And they ate and drank a lot. The adults did some of the above, with more spa treatments, some yoga, and less eating and drinking. It was very […] easy to do anything anyone wanted to try. Our kids would've like a livelier night scene, it is mostly middle aged and older couples, but we parents were happy to keep them more focused on all of the activities offered during the day. "Nice, but overpriced"
We had a great time but this was mostly due to the beach and watersports. Food was pretty good, room was nice but much less than expected for $1000 per night (grand luxury waterfront), we had much nicer rooms and as good or better food in couples/sandals type resorts in DR and Jamaica.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We loved the bodyholiday! We never repeat places, especially in the Caribbean since it's sort of like one you've seen one place, you've kind of have seen them all - but this is now the exception! "Total Body Bliss!"
My husband and I recently spent one full week of what I now call "Body Bliss" at The Body Holiday Le Sport resort and spa. The food was fantastic (and I'm a foodie snob), the staff and service were phenomenal and the the wide range of inclusive activities and outstanding spa treatments kept us feeling like Royalty! A special call-out is required of […] a few terrific members of the resorts' team-- Sir Calvin (as we called him) who manages the clubhouse bar and dining area is the official customer-service captain!! Sir Calvin-- please put the 'Elijah Special' drink on the menu-- Elijah can tell you the ingredients, we loved it!! Ambrose does an amazing job keeping all of the flowers and landscaping breath-takingly beautiful! And Ms. Mini (native of Bali, Indonesia) has magical hands and provides an authentic Bali massage that one should not miss!! 'Ms. Dayanne' in concierge handles her business extremely well, and makes sure your stay is great! "A completely restful and rejuvenating expereince."
Overall, one of the finest resorts we have stayed at. The Caribbean can sometimes render resorts somewhat shabby in appearance, not true here. The property and the hotel were pristine. The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive to your needs. While sitting on the beach, you "raise your flag" and within minutes a staff person is there to […] attend to whatever your needs. There is a plethora of activities included, sailing, water skiing, tubing, to name a few. If booking through Expedia, it is definitely advisable to go directly to the resort website and book your inclusive daily spa treatments in advance. We did not do this, and the resort generated a random schedule before our arrival. The problem is that most of those appointments were early in the morning, which is the least popular time. Trying to reschedule to the afternoon was nearly impossible. As for the room, they were neat and comfortable. While they say there are 110V outlets in each room, ours had only one, and none in the bathroom. It was a minor inconvenience, but adapters would have been helpful. This was our best experience in the Caribbean to date. We did not really like Jamaica or Antigua, but we would go back to The BodyHoliday in St. Lucia in a minute. "Best. Hotel. Ever."
This hotel is awesome. The staff is second to none, the food is delicious and it's very clean. My girl got seasick on the sunset cruise that is on a large boat, I told the staff and they called up Eric who whisked us away to the mainland to go back to the hotel on a windsail type boat. How's that for awesome service? I'll definitely be back. Also, […] I noticed a lot of couples at this resort---guys if you want to score major points with your woman book it now!!! Overall it was very good. The food was excellent for breakfast and lunch. Maybe not quite as great for dinner, but still good. I really enjoyed no tv's, and the overall service. "Beautiful Island, lovely resort."
The hotel is beautifully situated on a well landscaped property. It is kept immaculately. We went there to celebrate an anniversary and could not have been treated better by the staff who with rare exception, went out of their way. There is lot's to do!! Almost too much in fact! If you are active you will love it, if not then you will be fine as well […] as there are pools, the beach, and the spa. The rooms are comfortable. The furniture and some of the linens are a little well worn and we had some problems with condensation coming up through the tiles making for a slippery floor. It is worth paying for the sea view. After a few hiccups on arrival, our room was not available until the next day but they made the move smooth and easy and we really had a delightful stay after that. What was exceptional? The Deli and it's staff. Food there is very tasty and healthy. Tao provided outstanding service and a great sense of humor. Also every buffet at the Clubhouse was delicious. Just a great place to sit as well. Tea time and scones I am missing now. The Bodyguards were great. The only downers I can think of were some of the guests who would commandeer loungers and cabanas for the day while off around the resort. This happened a lot and many of us walked the beach looking for chairs while many remained empty, with only a book or hat, sometimes for hours. Also I would hope the piano player seeks new employment because he really doesn't enjoy his job. A great week! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Holiday of a lifetime"
We had a sea view room with balcony and effective air conditioning that ran quietly enough for night time usage. We relaxed in the afternoon in hammocks and sunbeds on the lawn in a cooling shady location under swaying palm trees. All the sun bed areas are serviced by attentive and friendly beach staff, who bring out iced water buckets and drinks on […] request. With towel stacks everywhere there are no worries about bringing towels down from the room. For a foodie like it me it was heaven. I was able to get protein shakes during the day and there were plenty of vegetarian, dairy and gluten free options at all meals. For me though the resort's Wellness Centre is really what made it special. Set in a temple and located on a hilltop overlooking the complex, this is a lovely place to relax and unwind with a cooling breeze and the sound of bird song in the background. Daily massage and other treatments are included in the package and it is possible to pay extra for other more specialist treatments, such as Ayurvedic massage. Above all else though it was the St Lucian staff who made it the most wonderful experience. Caring, empathetic, friendly and genuine their level of customer service was something I had not encountered anywhere else. All this amounted to the holiday of a lifetime where we made friends, relaxed and felt cared for. Here's to the next time but for now we have many lasting memories. "Intimate High End Resort with Amazing Spa"
Our family of five recently stayed at The Body Holiday resort. It was our first visit to the property and we were very pleased with everything. The staff is friendly and polite, the property is clean and appealing, the Spa is very impressive, the waterfront is very pleasant, and the food is excellent. Many activities are included in the All Inclusive […] with only a few items that are extra cost if you wish to utilize. As minimum age is 16, it is NOT a property for young childrren, and hence that adds appeal for those of us with older children. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

This was the first time back to Le Sport in 10 years and the improvement is outstanding. We felt it had become a bit tired but in every way the resort is quite excellent now. Food quality, the service in general, the spa treatments and the whole beachside upgrade has transformed the resort. Congratulations to everyone and we will be back in much less than 10 years!

Amazing week spent at the BodyHoliday Le Sport. Great watersports available all day and a decent selection of restaurants. Staff were friendly too. Highly recommended! ps no TV's in the rooms - although this is a little unusual, it didn't bother us in the least.

In need of a bit of sunshine and spoiling, we booked our holiday here on the recommendation of a picky friend who loved it. So glad that we did. This was one of our best Caribbean vacations ever. What we loved: 1) Beautiful grounds. Gorgeous plants and flowers everywhere you look. 2) Terrific service. Everyone was kind and attentive. So many wonderful staff…sommeliers Eugene and James, Cariblue server Macaffey, restaurant manager Anna, and Sam the yoga and meditation teacher to name only a few. 3) Delicious and healthy food. We were spoiled for choice. The Caribbean-inspired dishes were especially enjoyable. Also, as someone who loves a pot of hot black tea in the morning, I very much appreciated the prompt and perfect tea service. 4) Great classes. Good quality equipment, pleasant, clean spaces and wonderful instruction. 5) Good spa treatments. Each guest is booked for one treatment per day--I had the St. Lucian ginger and lime scrub, hydrotherapy, massage and facial and they were all good and some were great. Where improvements could be made: 1) Our room--ocean view--was spotless but could use a freshening up. The chair and chaise were worse for wear and the blue pillows on them were lumpy and tilted down so you couldn't sit on them comfortably or put anything on them either because your stuff would slide down. Each lamp had a different kind of bulb, some with warm light, others with blue light, so the ambience was not great. 2) The spa treatment rooms were basic but the music was awful. Soundtracks from The Godfather and operas. Not restful. A better choice would be mellow island tunes in keeping with the serenity of the spa environment. 3) Tao. It's the only restaurant where you need a reservation. I would say it's just okay. The service, as everywhere at the property, is warm and attentive but the food was equally good or better at Cariblue without the fuss. Overall, a great resort that is very well managed. We plan to return for a longer stay next time to take advantage of more of the offerings!

Stayed at this resort in November / December 2014 and in short we had a great time. There's so much to do if you want to enjoy the full experience or, if you prefer, lie on beach. Either way you are sure to enjoy the experience. There is a large selection of activities you can do within the all inclusive package, this includes tennis, snorkeling, spa treatments, yoga, fitness classes, scuba diving, sailing, windsurfing and jet-skiing. There is also a dive centre which provides extra scuba diving packages available at an additional cost, and as we are both experienced divers would highly recommend this option particularly as the cost is a lot cheaper than other resorts we've been to. At all times all the staff were willing to help and ensure everything was as we wanted. As we walked through the island, any staff that passed would greet us and ask how we were. It was great that the resort managers would be around the resort and take the time and effort to speak to you. The food was great and it was full of choice to cater for all, the lady on the egg station was extremely friendly and polite, and cooks amazing omelettes. Overall, the experience was superb and we absolutely loved every minute of it. It has a lot of returning guests and you can understand why. Most definitely one to recommend.
"It's just like everyone says it is - 5* activity & food resort with 3* rooms!"
02/24/15 Lugga London
I suspect I am typical of many visitors to this place: my first reaction when arriving at the resort, tired after a long flight and slow car transfer (take the helicopter - it's quicker, more beautiful and more flair!) was one of being underwhelmed: slightly underwhelmed by the welcome, but very disappointed by the room. Admittedly we had mistakenly been put into a twin room, despite telling the resort before our arrival that we were celebrating our anniversary, and admittedly they couldn't change our room for 24 hours, meaning that we couldn't unpack or settle in - that certainly didn't help. However, by the end of the 10 days, we couldn't wait to go back. What makes this place is the range of activities, the quality & variety of food, the friendliness of the other guests (this is a very sociable resort), but above all the staff. Whether it was Philip or Nicholas in Cariblue Windows (to which we returned most nights of the stay - we are quite partial to fine dining and small taster plates), whether Felix the magical PT in the gym, whether Martin, Rob or Renetta and their spinning classes, Keown and his killer beach interval training sessions, or Mcgyver and his impeccable service (including wading out to his neck in the sea to serve us cocktails) by the beach, ALL the staff had an uncanny knack of making us, and seemingly all the guests, feel very special. I never worked out whether this was down to training, recruitment, or just the St. Lucia culture (we ashamedly only left the resort once on a pre-breakfast cycle ride to Pigeon Island), but we certainly felt that they would do almost anything to make our stay a special one. Yes, the rooms are disappointing, and the hotel would be well advised to sort this first impression - but we'll be back, no doubt.
"Recharge and Refresh"
02/24/15 Peter M
The BodyHoliday is fabulous place to recharge your batteries. The resort is relatively small, 150 rooms, with a staff approaching 500 who couldn't have been more attentive and professional. The treatments and activities were very good and the physical location very beautiful. The guests were mainly British with a good sense of fun and a healthy active lifestyle, most of whom had returned to BodyHoliday several times. The food was excellent, healthy and delicious. Overall a fantastic experience.
"First class holiday"

This is one of the best holidays I've been on. From the moment we arrived the staff could not have made us feel more welcome - the difference from our last experience in St Lucia was a 100% and I am sure we will return to this resort again. A big thank you to Maguyver who kept us well watered, well less of the water more Pimms please! I throughly enjoyed learning how to sail as all the watersports are included, and sticking my husband in a tyre and seeing his face as he was being dragged along by the speedboat was priceless after 30 years of marriage! The food was very good and plenty of it. If you decide to come to St Lucia I have to say that you get what you pay for so be aware.
"Everything and more"

The setting is beautiful. The place is immaculate. Everything is available-- sports, 3 pools, gym, and one free spa treatment a day. Food and booze all included as well. You can be a slug or busy all day. The staff doesn't know "no." The ocean, the birds, the flowers and the weather conspire to put you into a pleasure coma. We came here knowing nothing, and we will leave as ambassadors.

We've just returned from our first holiday at The BodyHolyday. It was excellent. The range of activities and daily treatments were great. Food was excellent and the afternoon tea service a treat. We cannot say enough about the staff. They cannot do enough for you. Concierge desk was terrific and the various leaders of the training sessions and the pros were tremendous.Try going on the bike ride or rappelling - these are extra but the rappelling was absolutely worth it! Lovely beach and great sailing too. Try to get an ocean view room, second floor and up. No tvs except in the games room - that was great. Great fitness and spa facilities with a beautiful water garden.

We just returned from our first trip to the BodyHoliday and St. Lucia and felt compelled to write a review because the experience was so great. The trip didn't start out well. I came down with the stomach flu as I was boarding the plane and after delays due to mechanical issues, an arduous flight and roadtrip with to the property we arrived in the dark around 8:00PM. Shivering from the flu and just wanting to crawl into bed, I was prepared for the usual all inclusive arrival experience: a glass of champagne, a cold towel and then sit down at a desk for the check in process. However, when we entered the lobby, staff could clearly tell we were tired so they said, "let's do the check in process tomorrow - you look like you want to get right to your room". Wow. I can't tell you how good this news felt and how a simple act of care can set the tone for the entire trip. Fortunately, this kind of 'service' really was the norm for the rest of the vacation. I say 'service' in quotes because I think fundamentally, what we most appreciated at BodyHoliday was of course great service but I don't think what made the service special was exceptional staff training. After several wonderful experiences with staff, we realized that the 'service' couldn't be just explained with training - the people were themselves first and foremost just really, really kind. At every turn, we met staff who were not just efficient and courteous, but people who really seemed to engage. This, we realized, makes a big difference to the overall tone of the vacation. Specifically, we enjoyed Daniel, our scuba instructor who was not just a pro, but who patiently navigated the scuba schedule around our illnesses for the week - this is a guy I would love to stay in contact with as we plan a return trip. We enjoyed Ainsworth, our Wine Ambassador who provided the most enthusiastic, knowledgeable and engaging wine service we have had anywhere. We were also thankful for our brief interaction with Kendra at the spa who turned a little confusion - that was my fault - into a stunning experience. All of these people and of course many more literally made the experience for us. Thank you! Of course, everyone else has said it all about the rest of the property. We have been to some ice all inclusives but this was the first time that the food felt like we had broken free of the standard all inclusive model. No cheesy "italian, french and asian" restaurants to choose from. Just fresh food and refreshingly, significant availability of Caribbean flavours. I've always felt it ironic that when I go to a five star resort in Mexico it's virtually impossible to get mexican cuisine beyond the usual americanized stuff at the buffet. Not so here. Delicious. There are some things you have to pay extra for - certain dishes like Wagyu beef or wines other than the house selections - but on the other hand, there is no messing around with resort credits. The bottom line is you can enjoy the bodyholiday for no extra costs or like us pick and choose where you want to spend a bit extra (wine). Because of sickness we didn't get to enjoy as many activities as we might have but we did get our open water scuba certification and were in awe at the enormous menu of daily activities. It was equally good to see that if you felt like grabbing a lounger and reading all day, that was fine too. On our last day we took a boat trip down the coast for a couple of open water dives and I have to say the coastline is gorgeous. If you get an opportunity for a boat trip, I'd encourage you to do so. We also observed that there seem to be precious few other resorts as well situated as the Bodyholiday - most seem to be high up on a hillside, very spread out or exposed. The bodyholiday by contrast sits low on a sheltered beach and there is hardly a location on the site where you are not within a stone's throw of the beach. As our first trip to St. Lucia, I think we lucked out in picking the BodyHoliday just on location alone. The only strange niggle I have is that on occasion I enjoy a cocktail and the 'premium' spirits were not in my view 'premium'. For example, I enjoy a Grey Goose martini from time to time and the only vodka they had was Absolut. Similarly, no single malt scotches or premium bourbons. It would be nice to be able to enjoy these kinds of things, even for a surcharge. The bottom line is that I would heartily recommend the bodyholiday. However the purpose of this review really is as thanks to the wonderful St. Lucians who made our trip so memorable. See you next year!
