Being on our honeymoon, I wanted to spoil my wife with 5 star hotels. Made an exception with this charming hotel based on our guidebook and boy were we pleasantly surprised. When we showed up, my wife started giggling like a little girl at the old world charm and character of this beautiful place. The owner and his staff were up waiting for us to arrive (our GPS took us on a wild ride through Croatia and we arrived at midnight). Although the restaurant was closed, when they learned we were hungry, they scrambled to prepare something for us and entertained us with lively conversation and an honest interest in learning about our honeymoon. The room was HUGE and the bed very comfortable. I paid many times more for other hotels in Europe but none provided the memories we forged here. Cannot recommend enough.

We enjoyed our stay at hotel piran because of the accommodating staff (very kind and friendly ad spoke multiple languages, including English), the clean room and the huge breakfast spread which was included in the room fee. It is definitely worth the extra charge for the sea side view room. Price may be a little higher then necessary though.

We stayed here 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our private balcony overlooking the Adriatic Sea with a beautiful view of Izola, Slovenia. The room was small but had the necessities and a decent sized shower. The breakfast buffet was pretty good and again, that view! The hotel is a 5-10 min. drive from town, probably not very convenient if you don't have a car. No internet in the rooms, but a terminal for use in the lobby. Loved the views!!!!!

Kempinkski Palace in Portoroz is the best hotel in town. The swimming pool is remarkable by any standard. Incredibly clean, crystal clear, and a delight to swim in. Rooms are well appointed in both modern and "traditional" sides of hotel. Brunch is magnificent--Vegas with no line--and included in price of room. Internet is free and fast. Hotel is directly across from beach and swimming. Service excellent. Plenty of parking. Didn't have to pay when I parked near entrance. Piran is a long walk up the beach. Take the 1 euro bus or drive. Menu at most restaurants is essentially the same--lots of seafood.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Portoroz for 6 nights. The front desk staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean and the food is fine. Breakfast has wide selection of items, including rolled oats and soymilk. The spa section is great as well.

Situated near the beach in the Porec Coast neighborhood of Porec, Pical Hotel is close to Basilica of Euphrasius, Trg Marafor, and Sveti Nikola. Additional area attractions include Baredine Cave and Novigrad Harbour.

The hotel is set in lovely gardens then lead to a pebble beach with coastal paths and steps into the sea. The room, with balcony, was well furnished and very clean although a bit small. The hotel provided live music in the lobby bar most nights with different bands playing a variety of music. The hotel provides half board and the food is buffet style […] with a great selection of well cooked food. The town of Porec is within walking distance from the hotel but there is a small train that goes into town every hour. Although the town is small there are many cafes and restaurants and enjoyable walks around the harbour and water front. There are several tours available from Porec as well as a ferry to Venice, but not all operate in early April. All in all I would recommend this hotel to friends and family and would certainly return if I have the opportunity. Read more

The hotel is located within walking distance to the town of Porec. While the rooms are a little small they are well furnished and very clean. The hotel offers half board buffet style meals which are very good. The buffet counters surround staff who are continually cooking the dishes of the day to top up the buffet. A great variety is available. There […] is live music in the bar on most nights. There is a swimming pool and tennis courts at the hotel and lovely coastal walks just out side of the hotel grounds. "value for money"
it is 3 star hotel, in a good place, 3-4 minutes away from the beach. Food in the hotel was so so pluc u will need to buy all drinks (even still water) for ur own money, in spiteof the fact that u already paid for the food(( Will not recomend it for young people, no clubs near by.
"Pical är ett prisvärt hotell"
Pical hotell är ett bra hotel om du vill ha närheten till sol och bad. Rummen är slitna men tanken är ju inte att man skall vara på rummet utan ute och sola och bad. De har en bra pool man kan ligga vid och havet är inom 100m från hotellet. Deras frukost och middags buffe är riktigt bra och för det priset man betalar för rummet är detta hotell helt […] klart värt att bo på. Nära till havet, promenad på 10min längst vattnet så är du i stan och flera olika matställen och fri parkering i närheten av hotellet. Vänta dig inte ett lyxhotel men helt klart ett bra 3-stjärningt hotell för en billig peng så finns inget att klaga på och som sagt, man åker ju inte hit för att sistta på hotellet utan för att sova äta på är det helt klart det bästa alt för det man betalar för att bo där. "Tolle Lage, super Essen"
Wir hatten unser Zimmer im fünften Stock mit wunderbarem Meerblick. Das Zimmer und Bad war etwas klein aber sauber. Das Frühstück- und Abendbuffet war hervorragend, frisch zubereitet und eine große Auswahl, wobei jeder etwas finden konnte. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt und können […] das Hotel Pical mit diesem Preis- Leistungsverhältnis nur weiter empfehlen. Erwähnenswert ist auch die Nähe zum Strand und der Altstadt. "schöne, ruhge Lage"
das Hotel ist zwar äußerlich etwas altbachen (Ostblock-Betonklotz), aber in Superlage. Ruhig in einem Park mit hohen Bäumen. Wiesenstrand am Hotel. In die Stadt ca 20 min. zu Fuß. Gutes Essen, anständige Zimmer, nur die Getränke sind estwas teuer. Zuvorkommendes Personal, gute Sportmöglichkeiten (Tennis Radfahren ...)

Hotel Pical i Porec. Hotellet lå sentralt, og det gikk tog på fire hjul mellom hotel Luna og Porec sentrum. Kort vei fra hotellet og inntil sentrum. Hotellet hadde trengt en renovering, trykket i dusjen var til tider et problem for de med mye hår på hode. Generelt helt ok. Resturangen var oversiktelig og grei. Hyggelig betjening. Hovmester og sjefs […] kokken sto og tok i mot uannsett når man kom i spisesalen. Betjeningen var hyggelig og imøtekommende. Hotellet kan anbefales videre. Og vi kommer gjerne igjen. Read more

"Hotel Pical à Porec"
Hôtel situé à quelques minutes à pied du centre de Porec, situation tranquille, parking facile et simple. Le personnel (hôtel et restaurant) est très souriant. Le buffet du restaurant est d'une qualité supérieure, très orienté cuisine italienne. C'est pas mal. "Ett trevligt mellanklasshotell"
Hotellet ser lite slitet ut utifrån men rummen är helt ok. Alla rum har balkong men ingen AC. Vi hade halvpension (frukost & middag). Maten var verkligen jättebra. Ordentlig frukost buffe och även en mycket bra buffe på kvällen. Rekommenderas!! Behöver man inte lyxigt boende så är detta ett bra hotell. Prisvärt!!!! Pool + barnpool finns.
