Congested room And average serviceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Ok for our purpose and value for what we paid, except that overnight parking is across the street and a little expensive because of that $15, not underground.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Burst water pipe"
On arriving at the hotel at 7pm in freezing temperatures, there was a sign saying the hotel was closed!! A staff member from the bar down stairs located someone from the Isabella who advised that there had been a burst water pipe & all guests had been relocated 200 meters down the road to the 'Clarion Hotel & suites'. I was assured that the Clarion […] Hotel knew all about me & it had been all arranged - yes you'll have to walk - no the Clarion Hotel had no record of me!!! Thanks to the Clarion Hotel, they organized a room for me & chased up with the Isabella the next day & I can't thank the Clarion Hotel staff enough for their great hotel & customer service when I really was left high & dry!!! "Not too Shabby"
My overall stay was great. I had no problems checking in or out, the front desk representatives were very pleasent and cheerful. The rooms were small, but cute and chic. The only issue I had was the shower was not very clean, there was mildew in the grout. There was also no recycling bin. There was not much of a selection at breakfast, however this […] was not a big deal for me. Cereal did just. In addition, there's no parking or parking access at the hotel. There public parking about 1min north west of the hotel. It costed me $10 for the night to park. All in all I give this hotel a 4/5. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This is one of the most inexpensive hotels in Downtown Toronto, but with good quality rooms if you are just look for a simple clean place to sleep. The rooms are small (it's an old building), but you are in downtown Toronto, so you should not be spending much time in your room. Everything is within walking distance of the hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
We booked thru an external website and were disappointed to find that parking was NOT included in the price of the room as we had thought. Room size was quite small - but that wasn't a surprise given it's location in Downtown TO. Overall a little pricey for what you get - but we were satisfied with our stay. Thank you.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to Downtown"
Clean hotel, very comfortable queen bed, small but adequate bathroom. close to the main subway line, Church St. pubs and coffee shops in easy walking distance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the hotel was in a good location, close to the subway, included a good breakfast, the only problem was there was this constant water gurgurling sound. I would stay at this hotel again, but request another room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice boutique hotel"
The Isabella was a nice boutique hotel. Our room newly renovated, but we heard the sound of rushing water through pipes the whole night, which was a bit noisy. The neighborhood immediately surrounding wasn't great, but it is right near Bloor Street. There is also a restaurant in the hotel. Parking was $9/12 hours, with no in/out privileges. "Affordable, clean, friendly staff, near downtown"
Great affordable place right beside Sherbourne TTC (subway) station. Very convenient. Clean rooms with comfy beds and courteous staff. The exterior doesn't exactly wow you, but I was very pleasantly surprised.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Good value for Toronto."
Nice, comfortable room at a great price The hotel seemed recently renovated. Nice continental breakfast. The only problem was that the heat wasn't working properly and couldn't be fixed on the weekend. Parking is a problem. The hotel lot is too small for everyone and you can't park on the street overnight. The public parking lot across the street but […] is only accessible from the back side of the block. "Convenient and comfortable hotel"
This budget hotel is conveniently located close to Sherbourne subway station, making it easy to get to the Four Seasons Opera Theatre, the ROM, the AGO and all the other places I visited during my six day stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room contained all the usual amenities that I needed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great value hotel."
.Great stay for the value. Rooms small but if you are just in them to sleep they are completely adequate. Room was clean and neat. Desk staff was polite and efficient. Few amenities in hotel but you are not staying here for that. If you stay here, you are looking for a good nights sleep at a good price. The hotel is close to bus and subway stops so […] travel without a car is easy. Parking is a problem but a lot close by is good value for the night. The hotel is easily located if coming off the Don Valley Parkway to Bloor. Located one block south of Bloor makes the hotel easy to reach. You must travel to get to entertainment areas of Toronto. All in all, we would return in future visits to Toronto. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Cheap & Cheerful"
Smallest hotel room I have ever been in (smaller than Manhattan). The elevator is so tiny, if you are claustrophobic you may have a hard time in there! Clean, comfy bed. No parking and the public lot near by is frightening (I kept expecting to run across a dead body or witness some other horrific crime down there) and a bit of a distance if you have […] a lot of stuff to carry. We were on the 7th floor and there was a constant water sloshing sound (like someone in the the bath tub) for the entire duration of our stay. I have no idea what it was. If you are a light sleeper, you will likely find this to be a huge distraction. Great location, very close to a Subway station. Would recommend for a clean place to lay your head down after a long day of sight seeing or after a special event, but not to spend any amount of time in, way too small. The Hotel had limited parking... and had to be reserved?? ...unless you reserved you were out of luck... We circled the block looking for a driveway... finally parking in a no parking zone so we could run into the hotel... Toronto Parking Enforcement tried to move us along before we could register at the hotel... one of us checked in, the other begged […] the Enforcement Officer for another minute as registration at the hotel took a few minutes...one staff member on duty and a number of guests meant waiting your turn... we checked in but, I had to wander around the neighbourhood to find public parking... which all told was $24.00....an unpleasant surprise... the room was clean but spartan.... we were 2 km from our evening destination and each trip was about $9.00 for taxi rides... it was pouring rain which is part of life... I would not recommend this hotel unless you are travelling only on public transit. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Decent hotel in a so-so setting."
This hotel is fine. The room was small with no view to speak of but it was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The one drawback is the neighbourhood: it's slightly down-and-out. The second day I was there featured a fistfight between some deranged fellow and a cop, right in the middle of Sherbourne Street. […] Not a place I'd recommend to families, but if you're not the type to balk at a less-than-perfect setting and are looking for an inexpensive, clean hotel within short walking distance to Church and Yonge Streets, the Isabella is totally fine. Also, *very* easy to get to and from Pearson airport via public transit. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel, but small rooms!"
My first time at the Isabella Hotel. The place is clean and very quite. Nice neighbourhood and close to the subway. Walking to most downtown attractions is doable with a detour through the Church/Wellesley village. Will I stay here again, probably not. However, I would recommend to a friend.Genuine Expedia guest review

Close to downtown, 10-15 min walk from Eaton Center but close to a Subway station. Smallish room but perfectly fine. The elevator is very small and the parking lot across the street is $15 / night, not bad. The included wifi was good & continental breakfast was OK. All in all, we had no issuesGenuine Expedia guest review
"Quiet, clean and affordable"
I had a great time. The staff are wonderful, and the hotel has had many upgrades since my last visit a couple of years ago. The room was impeccably clean, as was the rest of the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Would definitely stay again"
I really enjoyed my stay at the Isabella. I wasn't expecting much based on the reviews, however I think I must have had the best room (top of the tower). It was huge with a nice comfy bed, fridge, dining area, couch, tv, jet tub, etc. Based on my room, I would say it's more of a 3 star hotel. The neighborhood is a little rough, but very convenient for […] transit access, and close to Bloore and central downtown. Breakfast was fine. It was typical continental. My only complaint was the coffee machine wasn't cleaned for my second day's stay and the cups weren't washed either, but that's pretty minor. Everything else was in good condition. I came for work and would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Parking was across the street in a private lot owner by someone else and each time you wanted to enter you had to go into the hotel to get a key and then return the key right away. The parking lot across the street someone went into my car and went through my glove box and took all my change in the short time of unloading my luggage to the room and […] changing clothes. Bathroom was extremely small. There was no chair or table in the room to sit, so if anyone stopped by your room you had to sit on the cooler we brought or the bed. We checked in late at night and had to pay $15/day for parking despite the lot being empty. Our first room had no a/c and despite several calls and attempts, they couldn't fix it, so WE had to move our rooms. I complained about the situation and asked if they would refund us for the parking, but it got brushed off. I would never recommend this hotel […] to anyone and would never stay there again. "Proximity to major downtown attractions."
Staff were polite. Room was clean. Free breakfast was an added incentive. Positive overall.Genuine Expedia guest review
Stayed here because of proximity to Greyhound station, Hotel looks so old and sketchy on the outside. The hallways smelled really musty. Also, the elevator is very tiny. Only one person and the luggage trolley could fit in. The bathroom was also very tiny but very clean. The room was also very small but clean and bed was comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The negative I have is parking. Not enough fobs because guests take them home. You must find a free parking spot to park your car and run into the hotel and obtain a fob because you must return after you park your car. Charge $50 refundable deposit and obtain more fobs.Genuine Expedia guest review

As advertized, the rooms are indeed small. Not a big issue, although the bathroom was rather cramped. Really friendly staff; hotel is clean overall, whether its the room or the whole building.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Well renovated downtown small hotel"
Lobby area is bright and modern. The elevator to room and the hallways are very small, as are the rooms (in the tower section). Not an inch to spare; e.g. space only for a small student table and chair; and TV cannot be angled properly to the bed. But rooms well renovated, bed very comfortable. Bathroom pocket size but nice. More expensive rooms in […] the mansion section are probably quite different. Breakfast is quite okay continental, good choice of breads, with real plates, real cutlery. (Should have more than two small tables for breakfast eating.) Parking across the street is only 5 spaces, $15: reserve before you arrive. Lobby staff were most pleasant and helpful. Street is uninteresting but the hotel is five minutes walk from Yonge. Similar to the Selby up the street, more modern and pleasant in its renovations... but the rooms are smaller. "Easy access to airport and Downtown"
Ideal for our 2 night stay. Reasonably priced for the location which is only a few miles from Downtown. Easy access by public transport from the airport: 192 Rocket bus to Kipling then subway to Sherbourne then a 3 minute walk. $3 per adult - ask for a "transfer" when you get on the bus. Also, easy access to downtown by subway with 1 change. Bus 75 […] passes the door - which I think goes to the harbourfront area. Our standard room was quite small but perfectly adequate. Included coffee making, TV, shower, hairdryer, air conditioning, etc. Buffet breakfast (in the lobby area)is normally 8 - 10 but no problem when we requested a 7am breakfast. Cereal, juice, coffee, fruit, toast, bagels and muffins. Staff very helpful. Ok to leave bags on final day. Gabbys bar is located in the basement and has an outside area. Good beers and reasonably priced bar meals. Tim Horton's take-away near the subway station. Shoppers Drug mart over the street sells food basics. Otherwise, not much in the way of shops/restaurants nearby. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
