I liked the hotel. The room is set up well and is comfortable. There is a nice "sitting chair" where a person can read or watch TV. Across the busy street from the hotel are some fast-food outlets. The hotel is easy to reach from the local train station. I organised four families to stay together to enjoy the 2012 Royal Easter Show. They had our rooms near each other, which were very clean and family friendly. We even received easter eggs at our doors on Easter Sunday morning. The kids loved it as did the adults. Thanks for a great time.

Nice & confortable rooms. Bed somewhat too hard. Road can be a bit noisy although still quite acceptable. Quite far from Sydney's center. Not good for tourism & visit of Sydney. Good for business meetings in the area.

If you want to avoid the high Sydney hotel room rates, try this Marriot. Although it is out of town it is at a train stop direct to the City and very close to a huge mall. Same hotel in Sydney CBD would be three times the rate.

Excellent, new, well situated for bus/trains, arguably the best hotel value in Sydney. Free wireless for Marriott Awards members (free signup). Limited dining and shopping nearby (basically Mcquarie Center food court 1 km away, which is good) but all of Sydney is only a $4.80, 20-25 min train-ride away so I dined out every night. $5.50 return ticket […] knocks $100/night off the price compared to non-dumps downtown. Hotel is quiet despite main exit road off M2 highway below, room was spotless, bed very comfortable, HD TV clear, wireless strong, lots of hot water. Restaurant is pricey for breakfast (but so is McCafe across street), ok for other meals if you are stuck. Fast food across street if necessary. Good fitness center on top floor: treadmills w/ TV, free weights, machine, no pool. Balconies are high up on the road side, so perhaps not to noisy to sit on. Read more

Pretty good bit annnoyed at first as we booked for two children and two adults. Once this was sorted out the mix up in the room booking two additional beds were provided. Overall pretty good hotel was neat and clean. Had to sometimes prompt staff for linen and towels but they delivered them promptly.

It's only 5 minutes walk from train station and there is a McDonald across from the street so you don't have to pay high price for food. The only down side is related to its location. The train from […] the center of town usually does not directly come to this station. You have to change train (some time there is no train but only bus) once or twice. The train/bus is not very frequent so it may take 40 min or even longer to get to the center of the town. But the cost is very minimum, $3.20 one way no matter whereever you go except airport. I was looking for a physically nice, well maintained hotel with all the things I like in a hotel including wifi, hair dryer, comfortable bed, restaurant and decent exercise room. The Hotel was quite adequate and looked quite nice - we basically were only there to sleep. Would imagine that parking would be difficult during the business week. As per our booking we have two children, 13 & 10 year old, when we got to there the Clerk at the Mariott told us that the information regarding bedding hadn't been conveyed correctly and […] there was only a King bed but they had put in a roll away bed in the room..."this would normally be $30 but we have waived that for you" jolly generous given I had book for 4 people and had to share the King with my husband, our 10 year old who constantly moves in her sleep & myself....not very pleasant! We checked out at 6.30am as we had to be at SOPAC early. Further to the roll out bed, when the 13 year old went to get the bed tipped as the brackets that stop the legs from folding down were broken. The hotel itself is a good hotel with a pretty good restaurant. But I booked the room for 4 people which included the buffet breakfast every morning. We got put in a room with one king sized bed, and the hotel wouldn't change our room, they only gave us one fold out bed which they tried making us pay for, and then we had to have somebody sleep on the […] floor. When we checked out the hotel also tried charging us for the breakfast for 2 people every morning even though it was included in our booking, and took them a while even after showing them my receipt to give us the refund. Other than those two problems the stay was good, friendly service, well maintained, good restaurant and bar, convenient location being only a block away from the Macquarie Park train station, Macquarie Uni station and shopping centre, and a short train ride to the city. We booked a room for a family of 3 - were given a king size bed and told we could all share. When told this was totally inappropriate were brought a complimentary roll away bed which was so dilapidated that the sleeper's body was half on the floor - eventually moved the matress on to the floor and slept there. This person had to miss the following night's […] function due to lack of sleep and tiredness therefrom.. We were moved to another room the following day.. Breakfast was included but there were onl 2 staff who clearly had other responsibilities - they were exceptionally busy but were absent from the room most of the time. Buffet food ran out, tables were left uncleared as people wandered around looking for table - often stacking up used dishes to make way for their own breakfast, no coffee in the jugs, no hot water (empty dispensing machine) etc etc etc. Could not recommend this to anyone. With a half-hour train journey to the city, it is not the most convenient for sightseeing but the station is right by the hotel. We had a comfortable stay at this hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very good location for food and shopping. Getting into the city is fairly straight forward. Absolutely wonderful! Staff are so friendly. Outstanding service from Nicole at reception who is in training. She found my booking immediately and was so kind and welcoming. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. We found the room spotless and perfect for what we needed, and there was a good breakfast. Easy access to the M2 and quick to the airport despite being away from the city center. The only small problem I had was with the limited parking.
