The hotel itself was very nice. It has apparently recently had a face lift and it shows. The rooms are well appointed and clean and the beds are comfortable. The hotel is located quite a bit outside of Charleston proper, and getting into and out of the city to the hotel is a bit tricky. The greatest downfall is the service. While not actually bad, there […] is no effort to make the guests feel welcome - it's pretty much "Here's the key, Goodbye". No explanation of the WiFi, local attractions, hotel services, etc. There's also the increasingly common "pre-authorization" gambit where the hotel hits your card for $50.00 when you check in just in case you steal a towel or something. Theoretically, the money is refunded ( I haven't received the bill yet) but I find it quite annoying. Read more

The hotel was in the process of being remodeled. We did stay in a new room that was really beautiful! Only negative was that there wasn't a full length mirror. Bathroom was huge and very clean.

We were attending a wedding at 2pm the day of our check-in. The staff was incredibly accommodating in our request to check in early. They even upgraded our room free of charge because our's was not ready yet for early check-in. We checked in early into an upgraded room. Great staff and very clean hotel.

Don't let the front of this hotel turn you off. They are still under construction, but once I was settled in my room, I didn't notice it at all. The room was wonderful. I had a king-sized Bed room. Comfortable bed, extra sitting area, fridge, microwave, and a Keurig! The bathroom was large and well equipt. The room was brand new and was great. Everything was new. The breakfast that was offered was not included, but a $5 off coupon for each day was presented at check in. The food was Very Good. It was all fresh. Real scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, biscuits, pancakes, waffles, fruit, and juice. The price was CHEAP by my standards. Only drawback […] was that coffee was not included and NOT cheap. Overall, with the coupon, it was still great food at a bargain! The staff was always friendly and helpful, with a slight exception for housekeeping. We went out for the day, and when we returned the beds were made up, but the room was not cleaned and the coffee was not replenished (Cool coffee maker with "pods"). A call to the front desk was all it took to get it right. The only other disappointment was that there were no "goodies" in the lobby (Cookies, coffee, etc). OVERALL-A great place! My daughter and I stayed here on a trip to Charleston and were pleasantly surprised by how lovely and upscale this hotel was. The price was the best in the area and we found everything to be top notch. It was close to the city and restaurants that we like. We would definitely plan to stay here again when in the area.

Not downtown, but the next best thing--near several places we wanted to eat, only a short trip into the peninsula when we wanted to get downtown, fantastically clean and comfortable. the stay was good and the service was exelent but the internet was absolutely terrible. i would connect to the wireless then every 30 min i would get disconnected and have to wait at least an hour to try and reconnect brfore it does it again. The wire connection socket was worst because not only did i spend my own money to go and buy another ether cable […] to cancel out if i were "ME", i even switched to a entirely new room in the middle of my stay and the ether cable jack wouldnt work there. i had school work and work and my children could play there game. the tv sits so flush in the wooden frame that you can not change the input if you have something hooked to the HDMI/AVI connectors. Town & Country was the perfect place for a weekend trip to Charleston and the rates can't be beat. The inside of the hotel has been beautifully redecorated & the rooms even smell new! The regular King room has plenty of room for two and the bathroom is lovely with a large walk-in shower. The front of the hotel is still under construction, but you won't […] even notice after stepping through the front doors. You receive a $10 voucher for the hotel restaurant for every night of your stay to use towards dinner or breakfast (both are excellent). The only downside of this hotel is that it is not within walking distance of area attractions. It takes 10-15 to get to the downtown area, so you'll need a car. We just came off a 5 night stay at T&C. The hotel is beautiful. Everything is brand new with a fridge and micro thoughtfully placed in each room. The decor smells of something along the lines of a Crown Plaza or Intercontinental, which is a welcome surprise. The hotel was extremely quiet at all hours, despite being relatively full and just off a main […] highway. It was also extremely clean and kept well. The only complaint for us was that the sheets were so new they were just slightly scratchy and the bed, while comfortable at first sitting, was just a bit too hard with us being used to our own very comfortable memory foam topped bed. The renovated hotel rooms are superb & very comfortable. Location is great - not in town but very close with easy access. Plenty around the direct area in terms of supermarkets, gas stations, chain restaurants etc. Breakfast was very good. Would highly recommend for the excellent value for money. No complaints at all.
