The hotel was very quaint and located near restaurants and bars. The beach is across the street. The only negative thing is that there is no parking and you have to park on the streets. The area is nice and I felt safe all the time.

Great location near beach and San Juan attractions. Cute hotel, nice pool, great staff. Their sister hotel is across the street, and you can access it 24/7 to use their AWESOME HOT TUB! CONS: The rooms are tiny and not much insulation from noise if you stay on ground floor.

Hotel grounds were very attractive and private, room and bathroom small but we weren't there to stay in the room. Easy walking to many restaurants, beach. Only complaint was that our room was right next to the lobby. Every night, very late evening/very early morning some guests chose to linger in the lobby and have their party there. A 5 night stay in San Juan included dropping our bags at Wind Chimes. We didn't spend much time here other than to sleep. Ocean Park is a busy place but always seemed safe. Cops standing on corners. Isle Verde is to the east and Condado is between Ocean Park and Old San Juan. If you're looking for a tourist area stay in Condado. Wind Chimes served its […] purpose well. It was expensive but so it everything in PR. We saw quite a few friends' rooms that were exactly like ours in different hotels. Have low expectations of lodging in PR unless you spend over $250/nt. The hotel is located just two blocks from the beach.we were upgraded to a private room with it's own deck with tabel and chairs.The hotel is also located within walking distance of a vary active nightlife with good food.

Service was great. They will do their best to accommodate you. Great advice and quick taxi service. The decorative pillows were filthy & had to toss them aside. It was our 1st trip to PR. Our 1st impression was -OMG this is amazing. Old Spanish style, clean, safe, & quaint. The staff was truly welcoming & made us feel like family. The beach is a short walk (& actually is viewed from the pool area). Not a 5 star hotel but definitely an excellent experience. The hotel had an all inclusive feeling and the staff did an excellent job accommodating my changing travel plans. A good hotel at a great price, the bar in the back was relaxing, the bar tenders were very friendly and made great drinks.

I was only at the wind chimes inn for a night, but it was a pleasant stay with no major issues. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The only trouble I had was sound proofing. Late into the night there were people speaking loudly outside of my room and I could hear it loud and clear.

Check in was needlessly confusing. Lots of time waiting while staff worked on computers and answered phone calls. First room the hotel offered me was a windowless room with a double bed. I refused an reminded the staff that I had a reservation for an superior king room. More time waiting in the small lobby while the staff figured out what to do. The […] room I ended up with was large, sunny, very nice. Could have been cleaner. Some trash was left in bureau drawers and on top of a chest. Long hairs were on the sheets. The Hotel's location is good. The majority of the staff very friendly. THe room was adequate, clean and comfortable, HOWEVER, there was no hot water in our room the whole stay ( 3 nights# and when we complained, the rather unpleasent front desk attendant told us that the maintenanance man was gone for the day and that we should have complanied earlier. […] by the time we checked out there was still not hot water. we later found out that there is a major problem with hot water in this hotel. First let me acknowledge that this was our first stay at a Non-Branded hotel. So I was a little anxious about our upcoming stay. If you are accustomed to frills and thills, this hotel may not be for you. Since we did not know the City, we hiked a taxi to the hotel for $20 and when we arrived, I was actually pleasantly surprised! The location reminds […] me of an inner city midtown area with mixed culture, food and the beach. We arrived around 1:30 and a nice gentleman showed us where we could store our bags and told us to check out the neighborhood until 2:30 :-). This hotel is definitely a family, Mom/Pop establishment. We dined at a small local deli called Kimoli Cafe and it was the PERFECT Carribbean setting to the start of a nice vacation. There are quite a few local stores in the area and the locals were extremely friendly. We checked into Room 128, small but quaint. It would not have been comfortable with kids, at all. We showered and went a half block to a private Beach..Beautiful! We traveled using the City Bus (T5) into Old San Juan for $.75, 20 minute bus ride. We had dinner in Old San Juan which is alot more touristy and pricey. For breakfast, we dined at one of the BEST Bakery joints ever, Kasalta Bakery. No much English speaking, but AWESOME food. The front desk staff helped us with scheduling a tour to the Rainforest, AWESOME! Joey was Magnificent and we needed another day to recover. All around great adventure. Read more

This is a lovely small hotel with a Carribbean feel. The beach is one block away from the hotel and there is a small swimming pool. The hotel has no restaurant and does not have the same amenities as one of the large chain hotels, but is perfect for anyone who prefers a small, budget-friendly inn. I would definitely stay there again.

My biggest complaint is the parking. I made this reservation because a family member passed away and I had to fly out the next day. When I finally found this hotel I couldn't find parking and couldn't even get in the hotel. So I called the office, they buzzed me in, then they told me I had to park on the street because I didn't make a reservation for […] parking and they didn't have any left for my 3 day stay. Ohh did I mention they only have 3 parking spaces. I called expedia and the tried to get me out of this hotel, but the policy of the hotel states that once I check in I will be charged for the days I reserved anyways. Although the rooms were clean, the room I had was small, loud at night and forget about privacy if you want to use the bathroom. The bathroom door is made of slats so you can't see in or out but you can hear everything the person is doing in there (might as well leave the door open). Also don't be fooled by the words (with waterpark) the pictures you see with the small pool with the little waterfall, that's the waterpark. Read more

You can use the amenities in their sister hotel the Acacia, which has a hot tub and bar, both of utmost importance for a vacation in Puerto Rico. The hot tub wasn't exactly hot, but the air isn't that cold either.
