"It has a kitchenette!"
This hotel was very conveniently located for my trip. It was very clean and had good security. I also loved that there was a small kitchen in my room complete with a little fridge.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I booked a non-smoking room. But when I arrived there, they assigned a smoking room to me. Then I argued with them. They said they don't have any non-smoking room available. Finally, they gave me a relatively not very strong smoking room. Also, the bed sheet is dirty and the outside is noisy. Many homeless people hang around on the street.Genuine Expedia guest review
"OK hotel with extremely annoying people"
Ok hotel, but kind of dirty, especially bedroom. But the most disappointing part pf my stay were extremely noisy neighbors who were talking really load until 1 am preventing me from sleep. This part just was really unpleasant because that I needed to wake up early in the morning.Genuine Expedia guest review
The location is in the middle of people unemployed asking for change and drug dealers. I awoke to rounds of gunshots after 1 am and again at 4am.Genuine Expedia guest review
I did not stay .The area was right in the heart of a homeless shelter. I had never seen so many homeless people. I was not comfortable. Some of the people did not choose that situation. But I felt unsafe in that area. There was so many walking right by .Genuine Expedia guest review
"A place not to stay"

"a good value, just in a bad neighborhood"
Three adults in our stay. For the low, low price, it was a good value. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Our room was equipped with a microwave, two- burner stove, mini fridge, a good sized closet with one hanger, and a large TV with a good picture. The shower was tiny, even for me, and I'm short! It was like an RV shower. The beds were VERY […] clean, & smelled good, but not comfortable. I used to be a housekeeper, so I checked really good! The surrounding neighborhood was teeming with homeless people and shady characters of every kind.We had a non smoking room, so each time we went out to smoke, we had to be on our guard. There is security at the hotel, and they check out everyone coming in the parking lot. Overall, it was a great value, and the staff was so nice! I would not stay again, only due to the fact that the neighborhood scared me. The hotel itself was fine for the amount we paid. If it was in a different neighborhood, I'd give it a much higher rating. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Horrible Stay DON'T STAY HERE"
I had a horrible stay here. I was late getting in and the office staff had left and keyed some cards for the reservations. My key didn't work and instead of them switching me to another room I had to get the security guard each time I wanted in my room. I didn't feel safe keeping anything in there since I didn't have a key so I had to bring my stuff […] down to the car EVERY TIME I left the room. I told the security guard to call management and he barely asked them to change my room. They had made extra key cards in case someone walked in to book, but they wouldn't let me change rooms into one of those. I was sooooo mad and will never stay there again. The neighborhood is very scary and there are all kinds of people hanging out on the street. When we we're coming back to the hotel and turned on the street, 3 guy's started chasing our car and yelling at us. I thought they were going to follow us into the hotel parking lot. VERY SCARY PLACE TO STAY. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Area is a bit ghetto."
The staff is very rude.................................................................................Genuine Expedia guest review
The savannah suites hotel sits among abandoned buildings and masses of homeless in Atlanta's version of skid row. Luckily driving through its parking lot is the only experience I had with the run down hotel because according to the parking lot security, my booking had been cancelled. This cancellation was done without my knowledge and no effort was […] made to contact me beforehand. No one was in the office or available for contact when I arrived. This however was a blessing in disguse as I was able to find and book another hotel in a safer part of town. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient location good room and price for value"
In my case I needed a room close to downtown for a 3-day stay. The location is excellent as it is close to bus stops and metro stations and downtown. The neighborhood is safe, but it does not look like it for a visitor since there's some kind of shelter or community center nearby and there's lots of homeless people around, but it's just 2 blocks, the […] rest of the surroundings is fine. There's stores nearby so it's very convenient. The room was good: clean towels, clean sheets, but the cleaning staff did not changed them throughout my stay. It's also the most inexpensive option close to downtown. It needs some maintenance but those details didn't keep me from enjoying a comfortable 3-day stay as when I go on vacation I only need a place to sleep and shower, I'm visiting the city and not staying long at the hotel daily so it works if that's what you're looking for. If you are booking a hotel that is practical for your visit, good location, it's not expensive, this is one of the best options for you. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best feature is the kitchenette"
Hotel served its purpose nothing special or fancy! Not expecting five star service! Need a place to sleep shower shave!! The homeless shelter next door is a little intimidating for many people especially if you don't have a car and venture out after dark! But the hotel is gated and has security! So if you can handle that type of environment and not […] looking for luxury but convenience ( its by Marta train station, downtown midtown area) you shouldn't have many problems. This hotel is in a very dangerous neighborhood, it was very with homeless people, I hope to get my money backGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Had to check in with security at all times (homeless shelter up the street - I understand) but felt no freedom of movement - put a chair outside the room to smoke a cigar and read and was told i couldn't - just felt punitive. Asked directions twice from staff and was told incorrect directions both times (I finally learned after that) which wasted an […] incredible amount of time and was very frustrating. Will never do this again and learned the lesson of doing research better before traveling. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Its the basic of motel accommodations."
I only needed to stay in town for a day and wanted to be close to where I was doing work. The security checking everyone arriving into the lot was a good sign, but the homeless shelter on the corner street explains why this was so necessary. The rooms are designed with people living there as a residence, small stove and mini frig. My stove did not work […] but the microwave and frig operated properly. The bed was very uncomfortable and the room was poorly cleaned. It was hair in my towels, and the check in set for 3pm, trust and believe they do not plan to let you check in a minute earlier then that. If you plan to just sleep and go.... for the price its doable. If you expect anything more... keep looking. It was quite, and the parking lot was well lighted and clean. Also security did patrol the area, and often the Atlanta police was parked in the parking lot. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"an excellent $50 hotel room"
Everything was fine. The room was clean. The staff was friendly, especially the security guards, who took their jobs very seriously. there are some bad reviews out there for this hotel... The negatives have been overplayed for some reason and the positives have been either ignored or muted. This is not a fair assessment of this establishment... its […] a fifty dollar hotel, people... get a grip. If you want The Four Seasons then pay for it! But to trash this hotel just because it is cheap is a cheap trick in and of itself. I will, if need be, stay there again in a heartbeat. The only reason I was there to begin with was because I had a passport issue that required me to stay overnight. So its unlikely that I'll need it again. But if I did I would happily spend my cheap-hotel-dollar there in a heartbeat. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Homeless Shelter on Corner"
This was the worst stay I ever had. Expedia does not warn people about what this hotel is about prior to stay. As soon as I got out my cab I was asked for my ID, each and every time I came on to the property I was asked for my ID. They say that it is for my protection, but anyone with an ID can walk onto the premises which isn't protecting anyone. They […] have no list of it's guests so what good does it do looking at my ID. Then there is a homeless shelter on the corner. If you're a single woman this is not the hotel for you if to plan to do any walking especially at night by yourself. People sleeping in a empty lot right next to the hotel. The security woman is horrible and argues with guests at the hotel for no reason, but the fact that she feels she can and the hotel manager is just as rude as the security wannabe police officer. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. As for the hotel it is ok for the price that you pay. However the bathroom floor had lots of dust especially around the edges and corners you can tell housekeeping never mops the floors. Definitely wear shower shoes. Makes you wonder do they ever vacuum. I looked under my bed because I dropped my glasses and there was lots of stuff under there from pasted guess. This hotel sucks and I wish expedia would have at least let me know that a homeless shelter was right on the corner having to be harassed and feel unsafe at night sucks. I booked it to visit my daughter at Emory for one night. I was exited to find what i thought was a great deal and will save me money. When I first go there I thought it was a shelter! Seriously! "You get what you pay for"
This hotel is just fine. It is not in the best part of town. There is a homeless shelter a block away, so there are homeless people around during the day. They will ask you for cigarettes; they will not threaten you. There is an armed security guard at all times. At night times, they all go away so you have nothing to worry about. If you would feel […] safer staying somewhere else, go spend a couple hundred bucks a night to be a couple blocks away. For the price, this hotel is perfect. What a mess. The staff was nice but that was about it. You know it says something when I have to show ID to a security guard in the parking lot prior to checking in. "not for the timid ....."
The owner needs to make renovations as the physical status was not good. On the good side were that the beds had NO bed bugs, it was reasonable quiet at night and the shower worked just fine. Hotel staff very unfriendly, ruined 2 pairs of jeans with their iron, staff refused to help or replace. First night of arrival had no running hot waterGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The location was horrrible. The maid service was unacceptable. Towels were dingy the bed was never made and the bathroom was not cleaned. Even when the do not disturb sign was removed. I found it nothing special about it. The only problem is that I had a noisy lady in the next room. She made noise all night long so that it was not easy to sleep though I was tired after a long drive.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Careful not to trip on the homeless out front."
Cigarette holes in the comforter, yellow stains on the towels, doors slamming all night, trash and homeless people out front. No water glass (can you even drink the water)? I am shocked that Expedia is in business with this place.Genuine Expedia guest review
I checked in, and wasn't all that thrilled with the atmosphere. During the night around 3 am police officers busted the people in the room next to me. They were loud and were busted for crack cocain. I tried to get a refund and go to another hotel, and was denied. I emedietly called Amex and they refunded my card. Horrible place!!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
The staff here was cordial, and that's really the only nice thing I can say about the hotel. The linens, pillowcases particularly- were pretty disgusting. The cases looked as if a coal miner had spent the night just before we arrived and hadn't showered before bed. Drool stains on the pillowcases as well. Quite classy. Sheets also had a couple of pubic […] hairs on them. Oh joy! I don't expect much from a ~$70/night place. But I expect them to at least make an attempt at cleaning. It's unacceptable and disgusting. One more note as far as the location goes. Close to downtown, and practically next door to a homeless outreach program. If the majority of the homeless population weren't as polite as Atlanta's seems to be, this could be something that may make you feel uncomfortable walking back to the hotel late at night. "Cheap and cheerful"
When driving down to the hotel, I locked all the car doors there was a lot of homeless people just wondering around. But as soon as you enter the hotel there's 24hr security. You can only enter with ID. If your just looking for a place to just sleep then it's perfect.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is located downtown but on a seedy street. There are homeless people lining the streets around the area. There's a security guard on duty constantly and they check everyone's IDs before allowing them on the property. The parking lot is well lit but parking is tight.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was terrible. It looked nice online, but once we got there is was not nearly what we thought. First off, I reserved a room with a queen bed and when we got there all we could get was a full. The beds were nasty and the bed didnt have sheets at all, just a dirty comforter. The carpet was dirty and looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. THe […] location was also very bad for a family. It was next door to a homeless soup kitchen, so there were homeless people walking all around the hotel, so we did not feel comfortable or safe at all. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Bed was comfortable, sheets were a little light but the heater worked so it was ok. TV was missing buttons but the fridge worked just fine. A good place to sleep.
