Enjoyed absolutely everything about the area, the hotel, and the staff was terrific. If they had just a little ventilation or a window for some cool ocean breezes, it would help make the room nicer to stay in. Other than that everything was wonderful. Great place great staff!

It is very nice cozy place. Do not expect a view from your room, but location in front of the ocean is impeccable. Having breakfast in the morning looking of the beach and the ocean is very relaxing. Hotel has bikes - we used them to ride along a the shore - it is a very nice long paved bike road there. It is pricy place but worth it.

The place was a little difficult to find, and driving through the small alleyways was really difficult with a full size SUV. This is the only bad things I have to say about the experience. The hotel was less than 50 feet away from the beach, and maybe 100 yards from the Newport beach pier. We were able to watch the sunset from the 2nd floor viewing […] area. B&B was cute enough. Room we had was very small. Considering some of the others were not occupied, should have moved us to better room. No one helps with luggage. Someone ate or tossed the yogurt we asked to keep in the fridge in the fridge. Overnight parking fees a bit steep.

Although the room was small, it was very comfortable, and the hotel has many places to sit and be comfortable outside of your room. The staff was very accommodating and it was great to sit at the table in the morning and watch the surfers. The decor really made the place feel like home.

This is a gorgeously situated hotel right across the street from the Beach. A lively surrounding neighborhood only makes the stay that much more enjoyable. We spent Fri and Sat night at the Newport Beach Hotel as a last minute getaway. The location couldn't be better, the boardwalk and beach are right outside the door by the Newport Pier parking area. We used the hotel's bicycles, beach chairs and boogie boards. We stayed 4 nights during the week. It was nice and clean but small. The air condition was controlled by the office and we did wake up hot. There were not any tables or a dresser to put things. There were no chairs so we could only sit on the bed. The manager was great. She helped with information about the town. We enjoyed the breakfast. The parking […] is 18 a night and the worse part about the motel is the stairs you walk up from the parking. I have a bad back so my husband would drop me off at the front. The beach is beautiful and I loved the old VW vans people drive. It looks like people are stuck in the 60s. There are a few homeless people that live around the beach but they dont bother any one. The most stressful part of our trip was the traffic on the interstates. We went to Hollywood and it took 2 hrs to go 45 miles. The traffic keeps stopping and going 20 miles an hour. We never figured out why it keeps stopping. Over all we enjoyed the stay at the motel. They are working on a restaurant that will be part of the motel but they let us know when they would be working. My room did not have a window and the design of the room (with shower) was bit bizarre. I assume the desin is to let light in, but I did not care for it. The only reason i booked this hotel was that the Hyatt was closed. the price of the room is bit high for what it offers. The accesibility to the beach does not justify the price.

Really great, awesome location and awesome room if you can get one with a beach front or jacuzzi tub. Staff could be a little more knowledgeable about things going on in the area. And could be a little more informative about check out time etc when you check in. My card got charged a 50 dollar holding fee, which wasn't supposed to go through and the […] lady didn't even tell us. Another disappointment was that I paid 18 dollars for parking in their lot, which is super convenient especially in the summer time. However, this time the keys were not working to open that gate and you had to get a remote from the front desk to access it.
