ResortQuest Rentals at Celadon Beach Resort - Panama City Beach

Very nice hotel. Could only get phone reception on the back balcony leaning over a railing 20 stories up. No WIFI. Was told rooms were individually owned and some had WIFI. Got the Celedon WIFI signal. Receptionist did her best to be unhelpful overall, including claiming to have no idea how I could tap into the business WIFI. Manager on duty also claimed […] to have no idea. When a helpful security officer suggested it was probably on the router, the manager claimed it was in a locked room that he had no key for. I wish they would have just told me that it was for the business only instead of telling me stories. If you are looking to be isolated from the modern world, unable to use your phone to find restaurants, use maps and so forth, this is the place for you. Security and cleaning (not employees of the condo complex) were very helpful and friendly. Clean. Modern aside from no WIFI. I prefer the other end of the beach. Beach in front of condo was very nice and included chairs and unmbrellas at no extra cost. Easy parking. Able to use baggage cart from parking garage to room. Other guests were very nice. Great rates, rooms were better than anticipated, on the beach and not in the middle of all the businesses but within walking distance, made it a little nicer and quieter stay. Very pleased overall.

Was surprised when I was charged cleaning fee that hotels.com did not mention on the phone even when I asked directly if there would be any other fees. If I was the owner of the condo that we stayed in I would be very upset with the cleanliness and maintenance that the celadon was providing. I took pictures because it was so dirty. Couldn't believe […] that the cleaning crew found it acceptable . Shower liner had mildew all over it. Refrigerator had food on it with something running down the front of it, cabinets were like that too. Doors had dirty hand marks on them. Looked like the toe boards hadn't been dusted in years,same with under the furniture. Can't believe I had to pay a cleaning fee for that kind of work. It does have a great location. Read more

We would definately return to this hotel for future vacations. You can walk right onto the beach from the elevator. The beach staff was friendly. You even get two beach chairs and umbella with the stay which is a plus - you usually have to pay $25 a day for those chairs.

We live 90 miles from Panama City Beach and have never stayed in this condo type hotel in Panama City before. We were very happy with the large rooms, the modern kitchen, bathrooms and the bedrooms were clean and lovely. The apt had anything we might need already there. The unit we stayed in was clean and enjoyable, but for the money we spent I expected a little more. The unit had a few problems, only one television receiver worked, the refrigerator leaked and the icemaker did not work, some of the light fixtures are worn out. The staff was very friendly, We arrived early and they let us check in right away, When entering room view was excellent. Some areas of concern was carpet in master bedroom was coming apart and a wet stain was on carpet in front of bathroom,this was most likely caused by fire sprinkler was leaking. Living room furniture was soiled and in need of deep […] cleaning.Outside on the patio furniture was very weather worn rusting through. For cost of week stay they could of replaced furniture at Wal-mart for $200.00. Kithchen was very clean and well stocked with dishes and utensils. Beach was fun and young man handling beach chairs was very professional and focused on service. Pools were nice but jacuzzi was cold. One strange note we stayed in room 1006 and starting on Sunday some guest was leaving the cookie portion of oreos on the landing, every day the pile grew, it was not until Thursday before housekeeping cleaned up mess,this says to me that daily cleaning of walkways was not a priority. It was an ok stay. I had a really really hard time getting my questions answered about the layout of the room. Didn't know that one bedroom (for two people) was actually a bunk bed room. That was inconvenient. Also, the dryer completely died on us and we had to hang out clothes all over the suite. Celedon Resort was very nice. It seemed to cater more to famalies, which was very nice during Spring Break. Check in was easy and our room was ready before 3pm. Once we got settled in, we noticed the 2nd bathroom toilet handle was broken and the kitchen sink had a steady drip. We reported it and we were told that a service order had already been placed. […] The next morning after we had made a trip for coffee, filters and creamer, we found out the coffee maker was not working. My husband went downstairs and after asking, was given a replacement coffee maker. Later that morning, a repairman came and fixed the toilet, but the sink never was repaired. I had no issues, the room was clean, excellent view. 1 bedroom, two bath was perfect for 4 adults and a toddler. We didn't use the kitchen, we bought our own paper plates and things. Everything was exceptional with the condo, the location, parking, amenities. I would definitely stay there again, on a lower level, I learned I am not a fan of being up high! The only negative was when I checked out, the front desk lady was abrupt and unfriendly (2/21).

Stayed at the Celadon from Oct 5th to the 12th. Great place we would definatly stay here again. Our room was so clean and nicely decorated. We stayed with our softball team, so this was not my choice of a place to stay. Condo and exterior of Bldg very nice. One of our bathtub's didn't drain--at all. We notitified the office Tuesday morning. As of check-out time on Friday, no one had ever taken care of the problem. We were given 2 trash bags, for a week, and no papertowels or dish soap. While […] the Florida sand is beautiful, the Celadon sand was littered with cigarette butts. I rode the elevator one night with a group of teenagers smoking pot. They were high beyond belief! Overall, our experience with the Celdron was good. The condo unit was clean and everything was in good working condition. Initially, we were interested in actually purchasing a condo unit, but given the fact that three elevators serviced 22 floors, we decided this was not a good choice for us. On a few occassions, we had to let the elevator pass by […] up to four times due to their capacity. And, given the number of floors, elevators were slow to make it back to the floor. Notwithstanding the elevator situation, we enjoyed our stay and would use the condo again. We liked the fact that it was on the Destin end of Front Beach, which had significantly less traffic issues. The location required a little more driving, but one could easily access Middle Beach Road and commute quickly to destinations avoiding the scenic route. Read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Celadon Beach Resort. The condo was large and nicely decorated. We had a problem with the air conditioning and they fixed it promptly. The amenities were well suited to what we wanted for our family vacation. It was in an excellent location for a family trip (away from college and teenage partiers).
