Our experience in this hotel was wonderful. It was well-appointed, and comfortable. The staff was most friendly, and helpful, and made our stay enjoyable.

Having done a "hip" alike makeover, the rice charged is not justified for this average hotel. As well the photo of the beach is totally inaccurate. This property isn't on the beach. Its up a hill with no view. Rooms are clean and modern but the bathroom set up is very uncomfortable for two people. Basically there is a window from the bedroom to the […] bathroom with only a very thin curtain which does not block the light coming from the bathroom nor the view. This hotel is not on the beach as the photo on Hotels.com makes it appear. Rooms are up in town with no view. Its much too expensive for its location and the quality of rooms. It had a "hip" redo but isn't up to the price in any way. As well the town of Dinan is second rate to St Malo its next door neighbor. Reminds me of a town on the English coast […] which isn't the best. No restaurant to speak of and more a pub like atmosphere, not cool and hip. Its ok but for half the price. Read more

The hotel is really comfortable, in a perfect spot in the middle of town but still quiet and the staff were just the friendliest I have ever come across. Breakfast was a buffet and all the food was really good quality and fresh. There is no restaurant in the hotel but several really good ones just a short walk away. The welcome at the hotel was warm and friendly. The staff encouraged us to ask for their help. Every time we did so we were delighted with their helpfulness. They recommended very good reasonably priced restaurants, for instance. Our room was decorated in a colonial Indian style. We were in Dinard for their Festival of British films for the thirteenth time, but this was our first time at the Hotel Royal Emeraude. It is ideally situated for the Festival venues. Very relaxing break. Hotel was excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful and location perfect. The only negatives about the hotel were the rooms were very dark, even with the lamps on. A central light would have helped. Also tea and coffee facilities in the room would have been useful.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Spoke good English. The location was really good for restaurants, walks and right opposite the beach. The room was decorated very stylishly and the bed was very comfortable. I would only have two small problems to mention and that is the room was quite dark and would have […] been better with a brighter light as they only provided three small bedside lights. There is only one English spoken TV channel and that was BBC World News. The car parking was expensive a night plus taxes which are high. We would definately choose to stay there again. Hotel idéalement placé, proche de toute commodité (plage, retaurants, thalasso, promenade des anglais, ..). Service d'excellente qualité (penser à réserver le parking en pleine saison), hamam et salle de sport compris dans le service. Merci pour ce merveilleux WE.

Séjour agréable dans cet hôtel bien situé. Chambre confortable mais malheureusement éclairage insuffisant pour lire le soir. Pas ou peu de places de parking à proximité. Beau buffet de petit déjeûner mais prix élevé.
