"Disappointed"
The room was very small, the bathroom was tiny with a very small shower stall, not a tub. There were no shelves in the shower stall for shampoo etc. The shower head couldn't be adjusted. Shampoo was provided, but not conditioner. The bed was a king size, which was good, but the mattress was hard. The chair was too short for the height of the desktop. General appearance is a very old facility. No continental breakfast was included, which adds expense to the overall cost. The Wi-Fi was very slow and prohibited sending photos via email.

"Nice place to stay while visiting Yellowstone"
Located in a decent area of West Yellowstone. Overall stay was good. The shower space is pretty small and uncomfortable. As mobile networks are not good in this region, we advice to have a landline in all rooms to ensure connectivity.

"Average hotel room"
This was a so-so hotel. The room was clean but very small. They didn't have breakfast anymore but they did put out cookies in the evening. They had a little room that we used to play cards that use to be their breakfast room. For a day or two this isn't really a bad place to stay for for longer than that I would look for something better.

"Adequate, but ...."
I stayed for three nights while doing photography in Yellowstone. This motel is typical for West Yellowstone. Two story building tucked into a side street. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Room size was adequate for one person, two would be cramped. Parking space right outside room door was convenient. Electrical outlets are few and so loose that plugs would not stay in. They had a jury-rigged multi-plug extension cord hanging off TV table. I pointed out my safety concerns to the desk clerk who said (unenthusiastically) he would report it to management.

"It was central to restaurants and shopping"
The room was clean and neat, very comfy. It was close to shopping and restaurants, the Yellowstone National Park. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was just what was needed. The only thing I have to complain about was the lack of parking near the rooms, and the metal staircase outside our room. People coming and going late at night made quite a racket.

"Adequate"
The room was small but clean. A good fit for one person; too small for two. Location is fine along with all the other low amenities motels in West Yellowstone. The electrical outlets are few and dangerous. Plugs continually fell out of the outlets (all of them). When I pointed this out to the desk clerk (self - reportedly a with an MS in Electrical Engineering from Roumania), he wasn't overly concerned. He unenthusuastically said he would mention it to management. The free WiFi was slow to non-existent. All that said, it met my needs for a place to crash while on a photo trip to Yellowstone

"Nice, especially for price"
Newly updated, small rooms, clean, but the door didn't quite fit in its frame. Slivers of light and a slight breeze were noticeable when you stood next to the door. We stayed warm, though. I would stay here again.

"Budget-friendly but small"
We selected this lodge as a budget-minded alternative to a big name hotel chain and stayed 3 nights in a room with 1 queen bed. it was a little surprising to find that regular metal keys were used in the doors. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and well-kept with tasteful décor in a woodsy theme. It was on the small side, however, with just enough room to walk around each side of the bed. There was no bathtub - just a very small shower stall. A microwave, coffee pot and mini-fridge were provided. Although it was nice enough, the room felt cramped and sound-proofing between rooms could have been better. The bed seemed to be of lesser quality as it was not especially comfortable. For our 4th night in the area we were happy to stay at another hotel that offered a more spacious room and a breakfast buffet for just a little bit higher price.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We do try to provide a clean room at a reasonable price for the budget conscious guest. Our mattresses are new and we do receive compliments on how comfortable they are. However, nothing is like your own bed at home and what one person finds comfortable, another may not. I hope that you had an enjoyable time in Yellowstone.

"Great deal if you need a place to sleep."
Great room but very small. We were at Yellowstone all day so we only needed a place to sleep which was perfect for us. The only reason comfort wasn't a 5 was because you couldn't sit in the room and lounge. If you just need a place to sleep, this is a great choice.

I am on my way to Yellowstone National Park to work a summer job. This is my second stay at Moose Creek Inn and I can't say enough good things about this cozy and clean hotel. We knew we would be out exploring the park most of the time so were quite happy to come back to a clean (if smallish) room, with a fridge, microwave, TV, access to Wifi and parking outside our door. We would stay here again.

"Hated this place"
10/29/15 linda642014 Glasgow, United Kingdom
This was the worst place ever. The room was tiny and claustrophobic. Its the first time I have had to unpack (no drawers at all) and then put the empty suitcases in the car and drive round with them all week. The room was about 12 ft by 12 ft and painted dark brown, with dark brown curtains. We had a small fridge and a coffee machine with filter coffee but no milk or creamer. We asked at reception and were told they had coffee at reception 24 hours a day so they did not supply milk and creamer in the room. My question is why the coffee machine in the room? The bed dipped in the middle!! Only positive thing I can say is the guy who cleaned the room was great. The room was spotless.

"Great location for staying close to Yellowstone Natl. Park"

This hotel is right outside the West entrance of the park. The staff we're awesome and offered a lot of great advice on the area. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and I didn't hear any noise from the other rooms.

This was quite a surprise although it shouldn't have been based on their reviews. Our room was ready when we arrived, was large, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The shower was a little small, well the tub was, but the water was hot and the amenities very nice and lots of towels. Very close to town. Very comfortable bed. Would definitely stay here again. Kind of pricey but that's West Yellowstone.

"Great value"
10/13/15 Hobbitsoutoftheshire Powell River, Canada
At $90 a night we thought this was excellent value for the money. We just needed a place to sleep between being out exploring the park. Rooms were small with a king bed in but everything was clean and comfortable. Shower was hot with high pressure. Wifi was good, but dropped at night and stayed out of service till staff arrived to reset in the morning. Staff were very friendly and having hot coffe ready to go in the lobby was a nice touch. Location was great, could walk to everything. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

"Great hotel but a little expensive"

"Nice Enough Place"
10/01/15 brngckn Cypress, Texas
Had a King room on 2nd floor for 3 nights. It was mostly quiet and size of the room was fine. It's very clean. Nice linens and ample toiletries. Fridge and microwave in room was nice. I'd give four stars if not for three things - 1) not enough parking, 2) it's expensive and 3) unenthusiastic checkin. Parking can be tough; if you aren't back by late evening, you'll be parking nowhere near your room. In the Inn's defense, all motels in West Yellowstone are expensive, but nearly $175/night for a motel room kills me. Check-in was focused on giving payment and initialing all the rules. Rules are fine, but don't lead with them. And, why "no cooking in the room" when there's a microwave? It would also have been nice to have been given the wifi access code at checkin (no phone in the room means you must go down to the office to get it).

"Good inn, great location"
09/28/15 Blok Bodegraven
Not able to stay within the Yellowstone NP we decided to stay in West Yellowstone. Good choice, but pricy. The Moose Creek Inn is centrally located so restaurants, shops and grocery store are in walking distance. Room had everything we needed, not very big, but enough for us and it was clean. Receptionists were two young boys who felt no need to welcome us really, just handed over the key and wifi password and that was that. Cleaning was done by the same boys so we think they cut on wage costs.

I was a little leery of such a rustic, older property in West Yellowstone but ended up being blown away with the charm of this motel. It was very clean for starters and we could walk to dinner, attractions, etc... The front desk staff went out of their way to help us with dinner recommendations and ideas of things to do. The bed was comfy, plenty of shampoos and conditioners, coffee maker and microwave in the rooms. We went to the IMAX theater and watched two Yellowstone documentaries. "Yellowstone" was good but "Lewis & Clark" was fantastic! Please go see these movies and stay at the quaint motel.

"Rooms too small!"
09/17/15 Becky P
When the above reviews say "cozy"... It really means TINY! There wasn't even enough room for two suitcases on the floor without tripping over the bed. The bed was very comfortable and the towels were white and fluffy. The bathroom was really small too. The drink machine was broken but the staff was very nice and made great restaurant suggestions. If you are going to stay awhile, I would not recommend it.
