This is a 3-star hotel. No frills, good front desk service, rooms are pretty good size for NYC. My room smelled oddly. Hard to put my finger on it. It was clean and the bed was super comfortable.

"No complaints here."
Yes it is a small room.....it is NYC...get over it. We stayed NYE and had a great time. Prime location to walk over to Greenwich for a celebration. The staff are polite and helpful. Room is small but so functional. Maybe 10x10 but it had everything we needed. Wardrobe for clothes, nightstand, desk, flat screen tv, nice size bathroom, convenient individuals coffee pot. Would definitely go back if we were looking for a local place to stay.

Small hotel (40+ rooms). Stayed 3 nights from 12/26/14. Room was small but comfy. Nice bathroom. Central location. Quiet. Subway very close. No breakfast but nice place across the street (landmark) and very good French restaurant below the hotel (Parigot).

"Solita Soho"
It is a nice small hotel. Stayed there for 1 night with family, the room was clean and the bed comfortable. One thing I didn't like was that the water coming out of the faucet wasn't cristal clean, not sure if this has something to do with the hotel or the water coming from the street. The room wasnt very roomy either but it was comfortable enough. The location is great since you can walk to many shopping and restaurants nearby.

"Terrible"
Desk had sticky candy in the drawer. Toilet was running continuously. I moved to a different room where the floor was dirty, no clock radio, and very little light. The one bottle of water they supplied was not fresh - no seal breaking noise. For my second day, since my water bottle was not empty, they did not leave another. The removed my used washcloths, and did not replace them. Although the location was super convenient for a family gathering,I will never stay there again. It was the second worst hotel I've ever stayed at, better only than a squishy carpeted room in North Carolina. And, by the way, that same first night they put someone else in the room with the toilet problem. Later that evening there was a loud argument in the hallway between the guest and hotel management. Also, one of the beds was painfully uncomfortable. The other was ok.

"Good value in Solita"
We stayed for one night and all was well. It was a comfortable price point, the room reservation was as ordered and despite the fact that the room was a bit too small for the amount of furniture in it, it was very well appointed. The wifi worked well, the blanket was warm and the shower worked well. The desk staff was also quick to move us after they mistakenly booked us into a room with twin beds rather than the queen we reserved.

"Great location - Everything else, not so much"
The check-in process was a mess, not only for us but for the others waiting in the lobby for their rooms. The front desk staff is clearly still working out the kinks in the registration process, because it took far too long for us to get our keys and to get to our room. The disappointment only continued once we got to our room. The beds were made, but whether the sheets were actually cleaned is highly questionable. There were stains in the bathroom reminiscent of a college dormitory bathroom. The room was too small, even for two people. The all-time low of the experience was when I shifted the bed over slightly to use the wall plug for my phone charger. What I found underneath the bed was so disgusting I feel sick just thinking about it -- old bandages, tufts of hair, a half eaten granola bar...you get the picture. The positive however is the location of the hotel, which is centrally located in SoHo. Other than that, this hotel cannot be recommended.

"Dissapointed"
This wasn't a bad hotel, but for the price I expected more. Hotel staff was efficient but could have been a little friendlier and engaging. Room size was about what I expected, not real small, but somewhat cramped. The hotel was going for a modern look which they achieved in the hallway common areas but in the rooms themselves I would call it spartan and almost jail cell like in feel. I've never been in a room where the floor is covered in a rubber mat (it did have a weave pattern which I guess was supposed to make it feel better). You almost felt like the maid would come in and just hose down the floor while cleaning the room. The bed was very nice and comfortable. In the shower there were two containers mounted to the wall which I assume contained shampoo/conditioner and maybe bath gel, I wasn't sure as neither was labeled. The room was clean and comfortable. Its a shame but with a few changes this hotel would have been a nice stay. My reservation was for one queen bed but the desk clerk put me in a room with two twin beds. Not a big deal and I didn't really care since I was a single person in the room, but I would expect they would assign you the room you booked.

"Nice hotel near Little Italy and China Town"
I REALLY liked this hotel. The staff was very pleasant and I liked the location -- easy access to all that Little Italy and Chinatown have to offer; and close to the subway to get any where in the City. Also, you can get room service from the restaurant next door to the hotel.

"Good location, bad accomodations"
If expect to have a comfortable stay in the hotel, considering how much they charge per night, then think again. You are not paying for the accomodations by any stretch of imagination, you are only paying for being in Soho. You will do much better by getting a "castle" in Brooklyn for the same money, and come to Manhatten to play during the day. I know that this is what I'll do next time I am in NYC.

Located in the Soho district of Manhattan, the Solita hotel is great, reasonably-priced find. The rooms are clean, and well-appointed. The beds are comfy, and everything within the room is fairly new - including bathroom. I'll be back. PS: French eatery next door is excellent. "Solita Soho - convenient location but noisy"
This hotel is a good value, but for the 3 days I was there the noise at night was fairly bad. I know that is common for NYC, but on nights when the nightclub across the street is open, it is almost impossible to sleep before 2 am when they start closing down.

The rooms are extremely small. The hotel looks like it was recently renovated; fixtures, etc. are new. "Close to Little Italy"
Not a bad hotel, but I think for the money that is being spent it could be a little better. Some of the staff was great, others not so much. Our room was not ready when we arrived and we got there around 130pm. The hotel is close to both Chinatown and Little Italy and multiple subway lines so it is convenient. Our room windows looked out onto air conditioning vents which was a little disappointing. You are above a subway line so you know when a train is beneath you. Rooms are small but comfy and clean.

"hey! it's New York!"
i was very happy with this hotel. the room is very small but, hey! it's NYC! it was very clean and i was by myself, so, in this case, size didn't matter. everything seemed fresh and there was plenty of room for storing clothes.... the shower with 2 heads was a great bonus and the bed was comfy with 4 wonderful pillows. i travel with a small fan and had it on (even though the air conditioning was wonderful) so it masked whatever noise was outside. i was only there one night, but this hotel is in the right spot. easy walking distance to Little Italy, Chinatown, Soho, Lower East Side and easy to get to from the Holland Tunnel (even easier to get out of the city) there is NO parking at the hotel, but there are several lots around. the one i used was at 174 Centre St....very convenient and only $38/night for an SUV overnight.
