Price is good, breakfast is more than aceptable for the price. Location for shopping in the outlets is great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Decent but might be trending bad."
Some minor issues: 1. Door keys quit working - had to get replacements twice. 2. The printer in the lobby was out of ink - couldn't print my boarding passes. 3. The night shift attendant didn't pick up the phone for a long time. 4. The air conditioning in the room was not very powerful, I think it needed serviced. 5. The television is an older model […] and the remote did not work. 6. Only one worker at the front desk at a time means long waits for help. 7. Internet quit working at night. Really weird. 8. The "Do not disturb" light didn't work. Decent place to stay if all you are looking for is a crash pad while you go around the west side of el paso. Clean, bed is comfortable. But minor upkeep issues will add up over time to major problems. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Our stay was very pleasant. The room was exceptionally clean and without being luxurious, everything was in order, the breakfast was fine and the staff courteous. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.Genuine Expedia guest review

A room was assigned to me on the second floor. The toilet was broken and so were the knobs to the air conditioner. No air conditioner in El Paso, Texas in July is unheard of. So I called the front desk to report my problem. The girl kindly assigns me another room. I pack all of my stuff and move to the other room, only to find and awkward smell […] a couple of hours later. Urine was in the bathroom, hidden behind the toilet. Again, I reported this to the from desk who said they were sold out and would send housekeeping to clean it. No one showed up and the time was around 10 p.m. The next day I had a very important meeting at 8 a.m., so I left it. No later than 10 mins., thumping from the above floor!! I report that again to the front desk, I am assuming she called that room to have them stop. Stopped for only 10 mins. and it started again, so I allowed it for another 30 minutes!!! By that time it was nearly 11 p.m. So AGAIN I call the front desk to report. I kindly reminded the girl that I had a 7 hour drive home after my meeting and and asked her to call the tenants above me to stop. Despite the disgusting bathroom and the circus above me nothing was done. I buried my head in the pillows, knowing I was never going to spend another penny in this hotel. The hotel I was satisfied with a couple of times, changed for me in an instant. I do not recommend this place for anyone … it was very unsanitary and very unprofessional! "Microtel West, El Paso, TX"
The Microtel West in El Paso is a modern and economical place to stay while in transit, i.e. an overnight stay. The room is extremely small, but comfortable, and not ideal for a prolonged stay. The location of the hotel is ideal as it is right alongside I-10 and within 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile of many eateries, grocery store, etc. The room does not have […] a microwave or refrigerator and the TV stations are limited. A good place to stay for the money. Lastly, I traveled with a dog, and the hotel is dog friendly for an additional $10/night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The stay was alright. Bed was a little rough, tv only had 5 channels and remote did not work, breakfast was cereal, bread and waffles but close to everything even to get on and off the highway. Pool was dirty and I myself had to clean it so my kids could swim. Don't think I would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not so clean"
- Late checkout no problem, but not so clean. I found a stain of blood in the bed top sheet. Towels are awfully dirty and worn. Cold poolGenuine Expedia guest review
It was a very unpleasant stay the sheets had stains. I had to go buy my own because I was really grossed out by it!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
smallest hotel room we have ever been in. If you need to stretch your legs, this is not the hotel for you. Elevator broke down during the night and we were required to carry our luggage from the second floor. We shouldn't be climbing stairs and received no offer of assistance. The breakfast was nothing to speak of either.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
thin walls. to much noise. Not enough towels. Was 85 degrees out and no pool. hasnt been cleaned. Waffle maker was not set up in the morning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"No heated pool=Unhappy kids=Not staying here again"
The room was very good, nice space and clean, but we had some issues in the bathroom like the door not closing easily and the toilet was loose so it made a lot of noise. In the breakfast area they had really small coffee pots so there never was enough coffee and you have go look for somebody to come and brew some more and wait for it to be ready. Also […] the room card keys didn't work properly so you had to go to the front desk and have it reprogramed. But the most disappointing thing was the pool, we chose this hotel because it was advertised as having a heated pool, and it was freezing cold, when I asked the front desk the lady said they didn't have a heated pool, that it depended on the weather outside. So even when it was nice and very warm outside the kids couldn't stay in the pool for 5 min because the water was so cold, next time I look for an inside pool instead, even if that means having to pay more. "Microtel Inn__Next to the Outlet Shops"
First time staying at a Microtel, it fits the name. The rooms are small but it is not a bad thing, at least for me. I needed a room and bed for a several nights for a good price and this place got the job done. It was clean enough and relatively new. The key card to the room didn't work two different nights which wasn't nice but it was fixed with a […] quick visit to the front desk each time. Good price-value equation. Staff was pretty helpfull.Genuine Expedia guest review
I was worried about how it would be because I was on a strict budget, but I was actually very surprised. The breakfast was decent and there wasn't a fridge or microwave in the room which kinda sucks. But it is perfect for people who are traveling and have to stop for the night. Some people worried about the noise from the freeway in other reviews, but […] I honestly didn't hear a single car drive by and my room was on the freeway side. Overall, it was great for the price. "Chose a different hotel!"
We stayed in a 2 queen mini suite. The sink in the bathroom was clogged up, all the towels were grayish in color from being old, there was no complementary soap in the room, the beds and pillows were very hard. Two of the three of us woke up with sore backs from the beds and headaches from the pillows. The staff was very friendly and was the only high […] light of the entire stay. I definitely would not recommend staying at this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Bad night in a good hotel"
We have stayed at this particular hotel on several occasions and nothing ever changes.. then staff is friendly and the room is comfortable for the price. This particular night was very noisy and the people in the room or rooms above where we were staying (201) seemed to be on a rampage.. We had a horrible time getting any sleep before taking on an 8 […] hour road trip. Needless to say, the hotel did what they could but at 3 am I did not feel like moving rooms. "Not worth it."
The biggest gripe I had about this hotel is the breakfast. There were only 4 tables in the breakfast room so we wound up taking stuff back to our room. The food consisted of corn flakes, yogurt and make your own waffles. We went to Mickey Dees after that. When we checked in the fire department was parked out front and the alarms were blazing. A fireman […] told me there was a problem with the elevator and it was out of order. This particular hotel is in the middle of nowhere so you have to drive some distance to go to a restaurant. We stayed at this dirty dump on the way back to San Antonio, Texas from visiting family in Mesa, Arizona. I can't say enough about how dirty this hole is.. We arrived around 3 am and the guy who checked us in was nice enough, however we had to check four rooms before staying in a fourth. The previous three rooms had not been cleaned at all, dirty wrappers […] on the floor, we pulled back the covers on the bed and the sheets were stained in all three rooms no to mention the smell of dirty socks that lingered in the non-smoking rooms. I will never stay here again!!!!! you can tell the house keepers could careless about cleaning these rooms and the only reason we stayed was I couldn't drive any further due to exhaustion!!!! "WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!"
My husband and I arrived this past Thursday and we were first placed in room 201: the room was extremely dirty; there was hair/dirty footprints in the bath tub and stains on the sheets. We called down to alert the front desk and were moved to room 205; while the condition of the room was better, hotel management decided to place a family with children […] directly above us on the third floor. There was nonstop running, jumping and stomping to the point that my husband and I were woken up several times during the second night of our three day stay. When we called to complain about the noise, it was suggested by Adam that we change rooms once again. My husband and I found this solution to be odd since we weren’t the ones who were disturbing the other hotel guests. Finally, on the third night, at 10 PM, a child who was staying at the hotel decided to pull the fire alarm and wake everyone up. This was by far the worse experience we have EVER encountered at any hotel, but what was most disappointing about our stay was the lack of service we received as guests whenever an issue arose. I mean, come on, who puts a family with kids on the third floor of a hotel? Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was not made up the day after our first night. I had to make sure that they did it after that. The fourth night the alarm went off and the elevator (we were on the third floor) did not work until the next day (I guess because we left very early on Sunday).Genuine Expedia guest review
"Microtel El Paso West"
Small, noisy rooms.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We phoned the hotel to get detailed instructions on how to get there...several times. The night clerk on duty gave us the wrong instructions... kept sending us the wrong way! After over two hours of traveling in the wrong direction and finally getting directions from a gas station attendant (you can't find this hotel on a map) we finally got there. […] Our room was dirty and the water did not drain well out of either our sink or bath tub... making it so that only one of us could get cleaned up. Our wake up call was over 10 minutes late and the whole reason for staying there was to catch a flight very early in the morning. The bed cover made a loud noise every time someone moved... waking each other up... making it nearly impossible to get any sleep at all. This has to be the worst hotel experience I've ever had in 58 years of life. I would not recommend going here to anyone for any reason. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Overall this hotel was very decent. The price was good, the room was spacious, and it was convenient to the freeway. "Not bad, not great..."
My wife and I stayed 2 nights while visiting the El Paso area. Our keycards were locked out after the first night, but the friendly staff quickly fixed the problem. The hotel is well-situated for visiting Franklin Mountains State Park or the nearby outlet malls, but otherwise it feels a bit out in the boonies. At least it feels safe there; there are […] definitely worse neighbourhoods in El Paso. Our room felt a tad cramped but was clean. The breakfast was not bad--standard continental fare which even included fruit. While no complimentary shampoo was a bit inconvenient, I really missed having a refrigerator in the room. That's the only reason that I would not recommend this hotel to others. Otherwise, it is pretty good value for what you pay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good, basic place to stay"
I don't need a lot from a hotel: a clean, comfortable bed; a full bathroom that works properly; and good housekeeping services. This Microtel exceeded my expectations but it wasn't perfect. The remote for the television wouldn't turn the set on and off but would change the channels (not that there was a particularly good selection of channels). The […] toilet flushes LOUD. The hallway floor on the third floor was somewhat uneven underneath the carpet. And what is this aversion Texans seem to have toward sidewalks?????? Whether San Antonio, Laredo or El Paso, there has generally been a lack of sidewalks outside of downtown (though Laredo was somewhat better in that regard). Some of us actually like to walk. If you stay here, make sure you walk up to the Rudy's near the corner of Artcraft Road - the food is great! Overall, a great place to crash for a few days. An ironing board and a coffeemaker would have been nice, though. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel seemed fairly new, comfortable, and placed in a good location in El Paso. I was satisfied with my stay and would stay there again. "The Hotel between Outlet malls and Sunland Malls"
Microtel has a clean scent when you enter the lobby up to your room. However, if you're staying more than one night then remind the front desk that you'd like house keeping to clean your room. There are not many channels on the t.v. they provide. The towels feel greasy and the bedding is clean but doesn't feel very clean. Overall: Great room for price […] offered.
