The room was clean. The bed was comfortable, and all the appliances - (microwave etc). worked. The room was quiet and there was little traffic noise considering that it was off El Camino. It is walking distance to Castro Street where there are restaurants etc.

The room I had at this America's Best Value Inn had many things that did not work. It was difficult to connect to the internet, the TV reception was spotty, and the coffeemaker was too large for the coffee packets. The blinds on the bathroom window were broken, and there were not enough outlets to operate the TV, fridge, and microwave. The microwave […] was ancient and had no power selection option. The overall shody apperance and poor upkeep of the room showed that the owners/managers simply did not care to invest much time to present a pleasant room for the guests. Read more

This was definitely not the best, but not the worst place that we stayed at. It was in the heart of Mountain View, CA and enabled us to get too and from our destination. The room was adequately sized, shower was hot, basic amenities, and room was clean. The main road it is situated on, El Camino Real, is EXTREMELY busy, especially during morning commute. […] The only thing that is negative is the fact that they allow smoking outside of hotel rooms. The location is great, for we are two engineers checking out sillicon valley. Just 10 min drive to Infinite Loop. The room is good, clean. Everything is prepared as standard. The only thing terrible is the breakfast. I didn't eat anything. Fortunately, this inn is surrounded by Taco Bell, Burger King and so on. You will not get hungry.

Staying at this motel was the absolute worst traveling experience of my life. I relocated to the Bay Area from Mountain View and decided to rent a motel while I looked for an apartment. However, after a week of staying in this motel I was kicked out because the motel overbooked! I had no intention of checking out, I hadn't told them I would be leaving, […] and they made me leave and threatened to throw out my things. The reason I say this motel is unsafe and too expensive is because if you're with a family being thrown out onto the street is not worth how cheap the room is. we checked in at 11;45 pm ,did not get any rest ,people next door continusly in and out of there room to smoke,laghing loudly ,clerk was notified and his reply was ,''theres nothing I can do,call the cops'' we only sleep for 2 hrs it was horrible.

I've stayed at this motel twice before and reviewed it in June 2011. There are reasons I chose to stay this June: the location is simply excellent (downtown Mountain View within walking distance!), and the price was great. In my last review I mentioned they had spotty wifi. This time they apparently fixed it, and although slow it was perfectly usable. […] A big plus these days when family members carry their smart phones and tablets. Overall very pleased. Two small blips.. a child woke me at 4am screaming. Figured I was near owners apt. Also desk clerk gave out a key to NY room without asking to see any id or call me to ask if ok. It wasn't even the same clerk that checked me in. Security is a little scary.

This was our first stay at an America's Best Value Inn. Based on this excellent experience we will try others in this chain. The location was perfect for our destination, so that's what made the initial decision. The parking lot was clean and surrounded by the most beautiful blooming roses. convenient location right near downtown Mountain View. continental breakfast was only a danish but taco bell next door had breakfast and within walking distance was a Boulangie bakery and a bagel store. Room layout, sink not in bathroom which is OK but no towel racks near sink, only in bathroom. Did have fridge and microwave.

We chose this hotel purely by price an really lucked out! It was clean simple and comfortable...didn't feel like I paid too much or too little. We were visiting Stanford and really had no idea that it would be ~10 miles away, but I am sure that we paid much less than Palo Alto prices.

This hotel is what you should expect if you are paying a low price for a hotel. It is clean and the staff is friendly. The building is a bit run down, the sheets are not super soft, etc. If you are looking for a good value, this is a good place, if you want any form of luxury, this isn't a good choice for you.

Generally a very good value; I've not stayed in anything anywhere near as nice for this price in the bay area. Clean, nice room. The place is very much a motel, it feels a lot like the kind of low end motel you crash in on a long road trip. No particular amenities, if you want something more than a place to sleep, you may want to look at higher-end […] places. I did have a couple problems during my stay -- the free wifi was broken, and they didn't manage to get it fixed for the couple days I was there. Also, the smoke detector in my room had a low battery, which ended up waking me up in the middle of the night. Finally, for rooms that face El Camino, there can be a fair bit of road noise durring high traffic times. Overall, though, a good clean room for a very good price. I travel mostly for business. I've stayed at several Wyndhams, Westins, and everything in between. From hotels that range from 300 a night to 50 a night.
