Great location for walking the strip. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.
"They should call it the A...."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
For the price paid this hotel is totally worth the money. Free breakfast and no resort fees! Location right on fremont. Hotel staff were very nice compared to some higher priced hotels. Front desk was friendly at check in. Valet guys were nice. Breakfast was awesome. Room was a little dated and tired but for the rate paid it was clean, quiet and safe.
"Great Price, Poor Hotel Upkeep"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The room was a steal at the price, and it was right on the strip. Only complaints /i had were poor lobby lay-out (had to ask where the check in desk was) and poor room and elevator maintenance, the elevators shook so bad i thought we could plunge to the bottom at any moment.

"Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel"
For the price, I expected an exemplary room. Instead, there were visible stains that covered the seat of the desk chair as well as assorted stains on the carpet. The rest of the room was comfortable, but there's no excuse for stained fabric and carpeting at this level.

"Great Hotel!"
Enjoyed the peace and quiet over the New Year's holiday. Very nice accommodations.
"Rude front desk help"
Was very impressed when we arrived to the hotel at how nice it was inside. When we got to the front desk to check in the man working spent several minutes looking for a clean room for us to have. Eventually we were told to wait in the lobby and that he would come get us in 5-10 minutes when our room was ready for us. Thirty minutes passed and I watched […] the man leave on a break or something, so I walked back up to the desk and asked what was going on and the other man acting like it was no big deal told us the room was ready and sent us on our way. Other than the rude customer service the hotel was very nice and up to date. Free wifi would have been nice though instead of trying to charge us twenty dollars to use it. Read more
"Very nice non-casino, non-smoking hotel"
If you'd like to retract a bit from Vegas' bright lights, noise, casino, and cigarette smokes, yet, still in a close proximity, this is a nice place to stay at. The hotel is modern, parking is very, very conveniently located, plentiful, and free. Room size is good and the rate is excellent. We had a dinner at Envy Steakhouse by the lobby, the food and […] service was way better than what we expected. Wine selection is excellent too. The only little inconvenience of our stay, it's not quick and easy to get a taxi cab. But the kind hotel staff will help you get one. Read more

"Good place if traveling with kids"
Being a non smoking and non gaming hotel it was perfect since I had my son with me. The location was right next to the convention center with a monorail station. I had booked the room with the stay for breakfast,I had to ask for the breakfast vouchers. It was not automatically given to me at check in and they did attempt to tell me they did not think […] it was included in my rate. Even with that little issue I will still stay there again and use the stay for breakfast because the food was great. It was the first time my household all left food on the plate at breakfast. "Family-friendly hotel"
I enjoyed my stay here. The room was nice and the restroom was amazingly large. I love the fact that its a non-smoking hotel with no casino. However, the view was not great , the pool was small, and there weren't a lot of restaurants in the hotel. But if you need a clean and family- friendly place to stay, this hotel is for you!
"Nice Hotel"
the hotel was very nice and the monirail is located right next door so transportation in available however, the staff was not hospitable at all only a couple of employees meaning only 2, housekeeping only came and clean the room one day out of the entire stay.

"Rude check-in, Twin Beds and a $54 steak?"
After our long, late-night drive to Vegas from Sacramento, the young lady acting as the desk clerk was just rude, great way to start your stay. The so-called double beds look and feel like twin beds with big sheets and covers, and the food at the hotel is ridiculously over-priced with no cheaper options anywhere nearby.

"Renaissance Hotel - Las Vegas"
Beautiful hotel off the strip. Highly recommended for those seeking a quiet place to stay away from the crowds. The steak house is fantastic. You will need a car to get to the strip. Free valet parking, however, is a plus. All around great experience -- I will not hesitate to book here again.
"Good value..nice with kids"
Was in Vegas for a basketball tournament with my 3 kids. This hotel is great when you don't want your younger kids seeing the "nitetime" Vegas. Very much enjoyed the pool and hottub being open 24 X 7. Only downside is not a lot of restaurant choices within walking distance.
"Renaissance Las Vegas - nice place, off strip"
I stayed 3 nights at the Renaissance Las Vegas recently. Overall, I really like this place. It's modern, clean, and quiet. The room was a reasonable size. My only real complaint with it is that the air conditioner took a while to cool the room, and Vegas in the summer tends to be pretty hot! This place is right behind the Strip, but it's not quite […] close enough for a reasonable walk to it because of the golf course behind the Wynn. If you can get a good price, I recommend this hotel. "wonderful weekend in LV"
loved the hotel, we have a higher up room with view of strip. We overlook the golf course and face directly Wynne. The location is convenient to the strip using back street instead of sitting in traffic on Las Vegas Blvd. We even have a $25 credit for Ego Cafe with our booking thru hotel.com in addition to the hotel credits. Definitely will stay again […] if we visit LV next time. Read more
"Nice Rooms, premium service, Internet Issues"
Pros: Very nice rooms, Comfortable beds ,Good service Cons : They have imedia internet service which basically provides internet over the TV in the room incase you dont carry a laptop which is $20 a day, but in my case because of the rains it became unavailable and the they didnt have much support to fix the issue. They didnt charge me for the service […] tough which is a plus, but being such a big name they should have been able to fix the issue. The Business centre in the hotel is very expensive, they charge $1 a min for internet usage, which is ridiculous. They a lil away from the strip. Read more
"Nice Property But a Little Removed"
The Renaissance is a nice property. Very well appointed, especially at the price. However, it is a bit far from the heart of the Vegas strip. It takes 15-20 minutes to walk anywhere. The monorail is right outside the front door so, if you're staying a while, that's a decent option. The doormen suggested we take a taxi instead. That adds about $14 per […] trip to and from the hotel. Still nice property with no resort fee and free self park. Read more

"EXPECTED BETTER"
The picture is deceiving, the beds were not two queen beds, more like to fulls if that, not comfortable at all, the pool gets no sunn only at noon

Ok for business trip
"Check-in Attitude"
Upon arriving on a Friday night, no valet parking attendant or bellman to assist with offloading luggage...so we saw luggage carts and wheeled one over and unloaded ourselves. We found the self-park area and noted that there was valet so that was confusing as there hadn't been anyone looking like a valet. Upon check-in we are told that only the reservation-maker […] could check in, so my travel companion who had all the travel documents was rejected and had to go back to the end of the line and wait for me. I was parking the car. Upon check in I could see that she knew that she wasn't appreciated so she tried to use the "I'll use their name" technique and the "it's a pleasure to serve you" statements to try to win us back over...but it was insincere with no eye contact and only haphazard at best. Then to top it off, we were told we could NOT use the luggage cart to take the luggage to our room. Suddenly out of thin air there was a bellman...so we did all the work and he is expecting a tip... Then we asked him about some aspect of the room once we got up there and he couldn't answer simple questions about the hotel amenities. Seems like the property is beautiful, the bar is beautiful, rooms have lovely appointments, but customer service is sadly in need of training and education. Read more
Very beautiful hotel, great place to stay, not far from the String with the monorail, great restaurant, pool not used during my stay but seems to be nice, I definetly recommend it for some days or even a longer stay.
"the room was not as shown or described"
This is a lovely hotel! The staff was more than attentive and helpful in every request! HOWEVER, THE ROOM WAS NOT AS PROMISED OR DESCRIBED ON HOTELS.COM! We were very not happy with the fact that there was no microwave! The pictures used were very clearly of a suite type rather than a simple room. So nothing against the hotel, it was a very nice place […] to stay. We were looking for something more kitchenette rather than what it was. Read more
"Excellent!!"
The staff was fantastic! We were made to feel like we were the only ones there. Very attentive. The valet service was wonderful. Absolutely courteous. The restaurant onsite is great. The pool is heated. I am very very pleased with this hotel. I wanted a non-smoking, non-casino hotel off of the strip and this was the perfect choice. I would definitely […] stay here again. "Rennaissance Las Vegas"
Very nice hotel convenilently locatd on Paradise next to convention center. I loved how clean the hotel is including the fitness center. Staff was wonderful and great amenities. I always judge the quality of the hotel based on their service and toilettries which were very topshelf (AVEDA).
"Thursday through Sunday Stay."
I did not know it was a Marriot when I booked. I generally like them. It is next to convention center, that was convient for me but a stretch to the strip. The bar/lounge was quite, probably because it is not on the strip. Drinks were a little expnesive as well as meals. They have a great Sunday buffet/brunch that I would recamend. Too bad I had to […] drive home and did not want to drink. The pool was nice on Saturday but they did have a few kids that splashed and were not well tended. They had a menu for drinks at the pool but no server. That was a disapointment. Read more
cute boutique hotel. clean and modern. color schemes were fresh and vibrant. hotel staff were friendly and accomodating. quiet hotel off the strip, about 5 minutes to get to the strip. convention center within walking distances and monorail within walking distance. nice view of las vegas. next to a really cheap gas station. all around convenient clean […] hotel. the desk, coffee table and coffee machine were extremely dusty but i didn't mind. I don't drink coffee. There is a fridge, with a laptop size safe lock, a shower and a separate tub. the bathroom door is a sliding door and does not have a lock. the bathroom fixtures were modern and pretty. Check out the e.go cafe downstairs has delicious smoke salmon bagel for breakfast and their chai tea was delicious. The bed was too firm for my liking, but at least it wasn't lumpy or worned down. lots of pillows and flat screen hdtv. Read more
"renaissance hotel las vegas"
The hotel was right next to the monorail station which made it very available to travel the strip or towards downtown. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The rooms were Very nice and clean.
"Renaissance is not bad if you can get a good rate"
The Renaissance is a decent hotel, off strip next to the convention center. Workout facility is decent, pool is nice, lobby bar serves decent food although it's a bit pricey, steak house is excellent. Staff are very friendly and helpful for the most part.
"A great stay slightly off strip"
This is a great hotel--close to the strip and right on a monorail stop but completely non-smoking and with no resort fees. Our room service breakfast card was not picked up from our door overnight but they rectified the situation very quickly and service was excellent. Meal voucher from travel city via hotels.com was a bonus

pool area was small compere to the size of the hotel. everything else was grate.
"Next to Convention Center"
Location of hotel next door to convent9ion center. Older hotel that has been redone in modern furniture and updated. Upgrades are impressive and a good hotel for the money. Only downside is the neighborhood. One block to the north and or east and you are with street walkers and run down area.
