"Would probably not return."
The biggest disappointment for me was that in the morning I discovered that they did not have continental breakfast. That left us in a bind. Continential breakfast is a big selling point for us.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Utah's best hotel"
I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Layton & it was wonderful. The hotel staff was great & most helpful, the room was sparkling clean & the location was perfect for restaurants, shopping & even a ten screen movie theatre. Easy access to freeways too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone & especially if you are attending a convention at the […] new Layton Conference Center which I was. There's an enclosed walkway so your hair doesn't even get messed up if it's windy or rainy. They have an indoor pool, exercize room & a small discrete lounge, as well as a wonderful breakfast eating area. And the price fit my pocketbook too! I will definitely stay again when I return in June. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nightly Fire Alarms"
Really disappointed in this hotel as the location is excellent along with the hotels common area's. The room was in good condition except the carpet was heavily stained along with the cable going out intermittently. My major issue with this hotel was during my stay was the multiple fire alarms on different days at 3:40 AM and the poor response to the […] fire alarms. The slow response to clear the alarm leads you to take it serious then no one ensured to tell everyone outside the hotel it was ok to re enter. You just assume it's ok after the fire department leaves. It is disappointing to pay for a quality hotel to ensure good rest during expensive training only to show up to class sleep deprived. "would go back"
it was overall a nice stay except for the slow wifi connection.Genuine Expedia guest review
Good stay but the walls are very thin so we could hear young children in the next room in the night and early morning as well as noises in the hall.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hilton Garden Inn Layton"
I had a clean room, friendly service and decent food. It has pretty easy access to freeway without being able to hear it. Definately a good place to stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great room, but hard to find"
Great room; clean, quiet, comfortable. Friendly, efficient staff. Lots of good restaurants in walking distance. Took us 45 minutes to find hotel, as we passed it and had to backtrack. Otherwise, good value for the money.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hilton Garden Inn"

"Good place to stay"
We only stayed there for 1 night on route to Yellowstone so we just needed a place to put our heads down but it was a lovely large room that we would have been happy to stay in longer. Our waitress was very enthusiastic and informed us of all the places we should visit on our trip to Yellowstone.Genuine Expedia guest review

"good place to crash"

room was comfortable, a little dated, No coffee in room except for 1 k cup of decaf,ac was a little noisy. parking was good and accessible well lit. beds were average, we had 2 queens, keep in mind we just slept here for one night, arrived late and place did seem secure and no rift raft in sight.
Forced to change rooms because they were over booked. My family was given one king bed with a hot tub and a roll-out bed. I guess they thought one of my kids could sleep in the tub. Broken boiler noise kept us up all night!!!
"Great hotel, excellent staff"

The garden inn is a great hotel: big, clean room, wonderful comfortable beds, free wifi. Nice fitness room, complimentary parking and complimentary hot drinks at the lobby. The staff was extremely helpful, especially Kaylee. Price is quite resonable.

This hotel was very clean and all staff encountered was extremely friendly. Check-in was quick and easy. The beds are very comfortable. Housekeeping does a great job with a room that was extremely clean. Would definitely return.
"Use the door locks"

Recently stayed here hoping for a quiet getaway. The rooms were clean and spacious. The lobby was sleek and modern. I did not use the pool but it looked clean. The breakfast, which was included in the price of my room, was above average for such a hotel, and was very leisurely (which might have bothered me if I was in a hurry but I wasn't so it was actually very pleasant). Two things were negative about our stay: first, it was not very quiet. There was no outside or street noise, but we stayed here hoping to get away from our own kids but still got an early wake up to the sound of crying babies. The other issue was more troublesome. A few hours after we checked into our room, we had an unannounced visitor. Someone in casual clothes with a child in tow entered the room with a key as if it was their own. They stopped when they saw us resting in bed. They made a hasty exit with no apology other than an expletive. When we asked the front desk about it, they had some way of determining that a master key had been used to open our door. They were incredulous that another guest had apparently obtained a master key. They offered to change us to another room but we had already unloaded our luggage and decided to just use the internal door stop/lock and not leave anything of any value in the room. In summary, this was a reasonably nice stay but I was expecting more after paying full price for a hotel (which I rarely do).

"Never Had An Experience Like It"
06/18/14 Sheekara Cedar Rapids, Iowa
At check in the front desk employee informed me that my reservation was for a room with two double beds instead of two queens. My reservation was indeed for two queens. She tried to convince me that a double is the same as a queen with the exception of a one inch difference. I maintained that my reservation was for two queens. Another employee stepped in and said to "just give her the queen." I gave them my credit card and informed them that the card was not to be charged and that I would be paying cash at check out. I was reassured that my card would NOT be charged. The first thing we noticed about the room was the giant stain on the floor. The second thing we noticed was the large stain on the bedspread. I pulled it off with the idea of just sleeping with the blanket. There was no blanket just the duvet. I called the front desk and requested a blanket and a bedspread. Someone brought up a blanket and insisted on putting it on the bed. She left and awhile later someone else brought a "bedspread" that was as thin as a sheet. The closet door was off it's tracks and we couldn't open it to hang our clothes up. The room door rattled whenever the doors to the adjacent rooms were opened or closed. Each morning the alarm would go off at a different time in the middle of the night or very early hours of the morning and we were not setting it. The only positive about the room was that the bathroom, which wasn't much larger than the closet, was very clean. The morning of our departure our receipt was slipped under the door. My credit card had been charged. I called the front desk and confirmed that it had indeed been charged and the guy working the desk would not reverse it until I came down and paid cash. When we checked out he was reluctant to take the cash and reverse the charges on my credit card. Because it would take 3-7 business days for the charges on my card to be reversed there were financial ramifications that I had to deal with for the remainder of the trip. I contacted Hilton and they forwarded my comments to the hotel manager. Although Hilton, both corporate and the hotel manager, has apologized, which I appreciated, and offered to make reparations they have not actually done so. Further communication with Hilton has been laughable at best.
"Very nice and comfortable"

We booked this hotel for our girl's softball team. The staff worked with us to get a discount and set aside rooms for parents to reserve. However, it was not any less than what we could reserve online individually. It just helped reserve the rooms. The rooms and pool were very clean. Breakfast not included in the price of room.
"Great stay with the family"
06/11/14 cxworldtraveler Santa Clara, California
I spent a few nights with the kids. From the checkin welcome to checkout the stay was great. When we checked in the person checked us in was one of the most friendly and welcoming persons I have interacted with. She made sure that everything was all setup for my family. All the other staff we interacted with were great. As a Diamond Member I was able to get a nice hot breakfast, cooked to order, for me and my kids. The staff in the restaurant was friendly. Made sure to leave a good tip for the outstanding service. In the end, I would recommend this property. I have stayed her a few times before and never had issues. Would stay at this hotel again.

Helpful Staff with the front desk. More than enough breakfast than we could eat with a very helpful/convenient/cheerful/fast waiter. Called the front desk for more towels and coffee cups, shortly after a staff member was at our front door with the items. Internet was easy to connect to and worked fine. Many channels to watch on tv along with multiple HBO's. Swimming Pool was small but was pleasant/doable enough to make my kids happy.
