Where do I start... Doors skin pulling off from scraping floor,fan sounds like crop duster plane while running,no water pressure for shower,tv in constant buffering mode,did not clean rooms,then when we just asked for towels at 4:00pm they delivered them at 10:00 PM,Restaraunt charged us 2.00 to re-do eggs they over cooked,AC unit shakes and sounds […] like it will fall off the wall,refrigerator door does not close so noting stays cold,Sheets are so old we can see through the material,Garden view was street view over taxi pick up.No phones at all on property except reception office The staff was very nice and the beach was amazing but the Title of Beach Club Resort is very misleading to me personally. Most of the staff members were not trained to be able to perform their job. They did not even try to make and effort. When the electricity went out because of hurricane Sandy so did the water. No one came around to offer any help of any kind, not even a word of comfort. The toliet in my room did not work so they told me to go next door to use the restroom. […] Even with no electricity and it was black dark. The one and only restaurant close down and no one told us that it was closing so we could get food. Therefore we had no way to eat so I had to walk down the street until I found something open because I am diabetic. This trip was terrible and I will never go there again. I hated it. The overall upkeep of the hotel was a disgrace. We requested a crib and didn't get one. we asked for towels and were told they weren't dry yet. Security at the hotel is very poor,people who were not staying there walk in and out and took guest parking spaces. They even stole my son's flip-flops. I was misled by the online ratings of this hotel. In reality the property is very runned down, and in need up much maintenance. The beds were AWFUL, and the curtains looked like rags. My TV showed mostly green, and when I asked the staff to replace it I was given one without a remote. Our room was clean, but there was no soap, blow-dryer, iron NOR EVEN […] DRINKING GLASSES. The remote for the AC unit did not work - the batteries show signs of corrosion. The passages/walkways were unappealing, slippery and uncomfortable. Security seems a bit lacking. The lobby was small and uninviting. On a positive note, the property does have a nice beach (especially for kids), and we caught a lovely sunset. The staff tries to help, but seems unable to cope with the many issues. This hotels deserves no more than a 2 stars (3.5 is ridiculous!!!). The price was CHEAP, but I still feel cheated. If you're there to enjoy the experience of the culture then this is a good place to stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. They could use new bed and updated linens but otherwise it's fine. If you're looking for the compounds with all the fancy things and high prices then don't stay here.

I have stayed at this resort a couple of other times and had awsome service. so this time i thought that I would stay her with my family for my wedding. i asked that my mom be put on the bottom floor because she is unsteady on her feet with stairs.but they put her on the second floor and she fell busting her head open had and got stitches, the hotel […] management never once came to see how she was or even offer a "I'm sorry" to her. we had to pay out of our pocket for the taxi to and from the hospital plus a hospital fee. then the maid service was so bad the day of my wedding i was locked out of my bathroom and they said that no one could let me in until the afternoon. then i asked for the maid to come in early seeing that people would be getting dressed in my room for the wedding. When i got back to the hotel I found out my bathroom was still locked and the maid had not been in to clean, so i was highly upset about this. when i did finally get into my bathroom I only had a hour and half to get ready for my wedding and the maid had yet to clean my room.all of my bridesmaids were in my room getting ready when the maid showed up i asked her to come back in a few hours and she said no so i told her to forget cleaning, but she started to clean anyway. while we were getting ready she went cleaning around us. I finally got mad and went to get dressed in my bathroom, one of the bridesmaids was helping me when the maid opened the door and started to mop around me. the service was rude. Read more

The hotel was acceptable for the price paid. The pictures on Expedia.com are not actual pictures.The photos do not represent the hotel, room, or the property grounds. The property could benefit from renovations. The property looks dated and rundown. The hotel is rated at three star but remember you are staying out of the country, so it's more like two […] and a half stars. If you want to take in the experience of the country, Negril Beach Club is the perfect place to stay. No room service, you would be lucky to have clean towels when you return from the beach. We had a fantastic experience at the beach club. This is the place to go if you want to be in the sun ..IN jamaica ! You can't experience Jamaica when you stay in a all inclusive place. I have stayed at this establishment twice in the past 4 years and have seen a few different rooms. The quality of the rooms varies, and you would be well advised to go for one of the larger condo type units with its own kitchen, as I found that they were generally better kept and much more spacious. However, be aware that this is really a budget hotel in a prime beachfront location. The facilities are not comparable with higher priced alternatives. The rooms could all do with redecoration and upgrading. However, if you don't mind dated decor, kitchens and bathrooms, then this might be an option given its superb location and its own section of beach, with fantastic sunsets. There is a small beach bar, Red Stripe only $200JA, and a new restaurant which serves a good breakfast, Jamaican, English or Continental; it also does lunch, not sampled, and dinner which is quite good. As Condo owners o this same property , I was very disappoined wih our stay. The first ting we noticed was the bedding was ripped. The bthroom was no htecleanest and in ned ofrepir. First, the pictures shown here do exist, in one room, but that room isn't with "Mariners Negril Beach Club Resort," but instead at the Negril Beach Club Condos, located on the same property but with a different office. Second, the place is infested with ants. Third, power was never reliable, in fact we had outages 4 different days, mind you the staff […] says it's in our area of the island, but at night it's clear we were the only ones. Fourth, stay is rude. (I hope you don't want to raise a concern, their priorities are paramount). Finally, I understand that this place is not a 5 star resort, and honestly I wasn't looking for one. I have spent much time abroad in more hostels/hotels than I can count and I can assure you that this is the worst place I have ever stayed. Furthermore, this is only exacerbated by a non-accommodating staff who are hard to depict from the vagabonds dispersed across the property. Also, if you do still want to stay here (for the price I hope?) please please please avoid the "duty-free" market and just walk to the Hi-Lo downtown (10 mins walk) because the mark-up is at least 200% on every item we saw. If you are still staying here at least try the restaurant on the beach called "Lingah," their food is reasonably priced and extremely good. Honestly, what is the best place of this "resort?" Hotel served purpose...a 4 day stay in negril on the beach, i had a room with kitchen so was able to have my comfort food. Like others i believe this place with some basic maintenace would b very nice, but they seem to b just relaying up location. Staff was very welcoming and attentive. We booked a hotel for seven nights. The front desk moved our hotel room 3 times in that amount of time. We lost a day waiting for the new room to be cleaned so we could move. The first room we received was not the upgraded room we had reserved. We stayed in this room 2 nights. dirty unkept no microwave, clock, coffee maker, phone, dishes or pans, or towels. TV worked, no remote and buttons did not work. asked for towels and pan. got towels 20 hours later(after asking two more times) and tried to give me a eletric tea pot to cook eggs in... they spent 2 hour trying to make the remote work ( we had to stay in room with boy) […] never worked. The deck boards were falling off and the metal was rusted off (scary) They moved us after 3 nights new room dirty Air did not work. I cleaned the filters and had some air. One burner on stove worked it gave me a shock. tv worked no remote there was a phone but no cords to plug it in. Did have towels they were old ratty and dirty. wanted to cook 1 to 2 meals a day to keep cost down. could not cook at all. both rooms the beds were dreadful only two top sheets and would not stay on bed. the mattress was all mildewed. It was almost like camping. No it was like survival camp. Ignore all the bad reviews! I went here with 22 people and booked six rooms. They had ALL of our reservations and they were all on the beach. The rooms are nothing fancy, but who cares?? The location has the best part of the beach. A lot more space and less people. Close to cliffs too!! There were little bugs in the room, but you're in Jamaica do just […] relax, they won't kill ya. The restaurant on the beach was excellent, try the crunchy French toast. Also the girl bartender was super nice! Front desk was very very helpful, she even called ME to confirm our shuttles. If you book a room with a kitchen, there's a truck that brings fruits and veggies ever few days. There's a small pool and jacuzzi. They tend to overbook during the winter months. Small boutique hotel centrally located in Negril on seven mile beach. Not too many frills but it really wasn't a pre-requisite for us as the beach was absolutely gorgeous and the experience very relaxing. They have an ok restaurant right on the beach.
