BEST WESTERN DENTON INN - Denton

The Hotel is somewhat dated but it decent condition. It's also about the only hotel in Denton where I was working the next day. It's no Crowne Plaza but it's a nice room. Not thrilled about the scary looking apartment project behind the hotel.

I was in a room with a chirping smoke detector. After being told that it couldn't be changed because the lady at the front desk couldn't reach it, I offered to change it myself. She brought me a battery she was unsure of. Turns out, it too was dead. When I called back to the front desk I was told,"I don't know what to tell you, just take the battery […] out". I eventually got moved to another room, where the heat didn't work. After dragging my 3 and 6 year old to yet another room, we got settled in around 11PM. I think this battery situation must not happen often. They lady was very frazzled by it and had no idea how to handle. Once she calmed down and thought about it everything was fine. They were all very kind, minus the gruffness of the first frazzled lady, and wanted us to be comfortable. Read more

Our stay was very nice, but we were not in the area for leisure. we were in town for a dance festival. Convenience to the event was circumstantial, as no hotels were any closer to the event. Staff was very courteous and friendly.

Best western Denton is like most best westerns clean and friendly about 45 mins from dover delaware was not over priced like every where else as we were there for the NASCAR races. Was a nice drive to track with many routes we like the roads less traveled. Thank you see you again BW somewhere soon bill & kristy

The hotel was clean and we were greeted as soon as we entered and they had directions already printed for us telling us how to get to Dover International Speedway from the hotel which is why we were there. I will stay at this hotel again when we come back to the speedway.

The hotel was nice. The staff was friendly and the amenity were nice. But the entire hotel smelled like an old cigerret! Really was nasty. Because of that i will find a new hotel to stay at the next time i go to the Dover Nascar race.

Cleanliness of the room was outstanding and so was the bathroom. Overall cleanliness of the hotel was also outstanding! The free breakfast was fine but nothing to comment about good or bad. Hotel was very nice and clean. I personally found the bed or mattress a little lumpy and had a rough night of tossing and turning while trying to sleep. The location was out of the way but it was the only thing we could get for a weekend in St. Micheals where every place else was either sold out or way too expensive.

I had booked a room on the phone specifically asking for a roll-in shower, non-smoking, King. On the phone I was told that was what we would get. My husband is a above the knee left leg amputee so he must use the around the forearm crutches when he takes off the prosthesis. On the day we were staying at this hotel we were making a trip to Harrington, […] DE for a youth sheep show. We passed through Denton on our way there. We stopped in Denton at the hotel at 6:30 AM to confirm again that we had a room for that night and that it was as requested. I had trouble finding anyone to talk to -- no one at the hotel desk for several minutes so I walked down the first floor hall and took note of where the handicap rooms were. Finally, a man appearing to be of Indian descent came to the front and I explained to him that we were passing through and that although it was way to early to check in we wanted to confirm our room for that night. I reiterated the type of room we had reserved and explained that we would not be back by the 6PM check in but we would be back late. I did have a little trouble communicating with him because of the dialect but I felt sure he understood our situation. I then asked for directions and to Harrington, DE and we left. About 10:30 PM we returned to find that we were assigned to a room on the second floor. It was a handicap room but did not have a roll-in shower. This handicap room was way to the far end of the hallway and although it was non-smoking all the rooms beyond it and the rooms across the hall from it were smoking rooms. In fact the entire second floor reeked of smoke as soon as the elevator door opened. My husband was asked to sign a release that he would pay $200 extra if either of us smoked in the room. The room was so smokey I have no idea how they would be able to tell whether or not someone smoked in that room. We had tickets for Dover Racetrack and the hotel was close enough to the track and available to resturants in the area. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone. All in all it was a wonderful weekend!

I used Hotels.com to find a hotel near the Dover International Raceway in Dover, Delaware. It was difficult to find a place as most were sold out. nice clean rooms about 20-30 minutes from Dover,De easy access to major roads.Would stay here again if ever up that way. Washington DC is roughly an hour away so sight seeing is really no problem

Everything was good except the pool is outdoors and shut down; and the continental breakfast choices included in your room rate is very limited compared to other hotel chains. There are 4 or 5 fast food eating options within walking distance of the hotel which was very convenient.
