Great location close to las ramblas and main attractions. In terms available restaurants there are small bakeries nearby as well as an organic food market. I would recommend stocking up at the nearby Market for essentials like water and snacks for cheap.

Great location - within walking distance to dining, shopping, transportation, tourist spots, hop-on, hop-off tourist bus. Enjoyed the rooftop view and drinks at the end of the day. Only stayed there one night after our cruise, but enjoyed our room and the english-speaking staff very much.

Do not get a standard room unless you are traveling alone or staying only one night. We upgraded our room after one night after tripping over each other and getting overheated when our air conditioning didn't work well. People coming off cruises in Barcelona have so much more luggage than just your local weekenders and need a little more space but it all worked out since it was a brief stay. Comfortable beds and adequate storage space. Beautiful marble bathroom was huge. Hotel staff had good command of the English language and were very courteous and helpful with directions to local tourist destinations. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and they were very patient with my bad Spanish. The room was lovely, though the bathroom was almost as large as the bedroom. The breakfast buffet items were tasty and well presented, and a reasonable price compared to the breakfast buffets at other hotels. The hotel is very close to the Plaza de Catalunya and […] Las Ramblas, which makes it perfect for tourists, and near the Plaza de la Universitat, which has a cab rank that makes getting to the train station or the airport very easy. Our room was small bad not uncomfortable. Staff was friendly and most of them spoke English. The bus stop to the airport were around couple of hundred yards from the hotel. There was a charge for the breakfast but it was excellent .

Overall, my wife and I had a mostly satisfactory stay in one of this hotel's "basic" rooms. "Basic" is just it was: a queen bed in a tiny room with an adjoining bathroom separated only by a glass door. Basically we were accommodated in one small room with barely enough space to move about and very little cupboard or storage space. No chairs to sit in […] other than one stool. The bathroom was spacious but took up 1/3rd of the total space. Our room was reasonably well cleaned and maintained, though we noticed a lot of dust under the bed. The bathroom was cleaned every day, but we had a bit of a problem with the facecloths. They were removed and not replaced until we brought attention to this. The front desk personnel were polite and helpful. The buffet breakfast is not really worth the cost (12 Euro). Certain items like fresh fruit, even hams, were often not replenished after about an hour before the buffet closed at 10-10:30 a.m. The choice of cereals was limited. Coffee was only fair in quality. Hotel location was excellent, though, with public transportation to all important sites close by. Nevertheless, given the very medium quality of the accommodation, I believe we were somewhat overcharged, and especially so with the weekend rates. If we had had more time to research our accommodations, I think we may have done better. Read more

Excellent location and a nice hotel. However, the standard rooms are very small and the internet is almost non existent. Changes to the computer must be made in order to connect and the connection is very weak. Big bathroom and excellent shower. Front desk is excellent.

Not very friendly. Did not offer champagne on arrival. When departing, we asked for a glass and was told it was for guests cheking in only???? Very tacky and unaccomodating. No smiles; simply basic, dry reception. While we would stay here again, it would not be our first choice.

The shower is out of this world good and the bathroom is stocked with everything you could possibly need. The H10 Universitat is in a perfect location at the top of Las Rambla for seeing the sights of Barcelona. Several sights are within easy walking distance and the easy to use Metro is a short walk away. The drop off point for the Aerobus from the airport is also a short walk away making transfers very easy. The hotel staff were helpful and courteous […] and the room of a good standard. Certain parts (particularly the bathroom) could do with some maintenance as signs age were creeping in. It would also have been useful to have been told the hotel restaurant was closed during our stay when we checked in although there are several good restaurants a short walk away. Can't fault this hotel! It's right bang in the centre 2 minutes walk to Plaza DCatalunya and 5 mins to La Rambla. You can easily walk to the marina and beach and there are restaurants and coffee shops galore within a minute ot two from the hotel.
