this is quite a lively hotel being situated in the center of the town, so it can be noisy at night if you are a light sleeper. the pool and bar area is not too bad as is the dining area.but the rooms, oh dear oh dear. they are desperately in need of refurbishment with absolutely filthy bedding, a safe with no lock on it and who pinched the mini fridge? I wont mention the state of the bathroom or the paper thin walls and the chamber maids pleased themselves whether they made your bed or not, on one occasion they did make the bed they left the room door wide open so we were very lucky nothing was stolen. I shall not be staying there again and would not recommend it.

personnel sympatique et souriant. mais le ménage dans les parties communes était limite (sacs de linge qui restaient dans les couloirs toute la journée)

We stayed in this hotel for a seven-night, all inclusive holiday. I'm giving this a two star rating and will try to be as judicious as I can in writing this review.
I will start off with the good points:
The buffet in the restaurant was quite diverse with so much to choose from, beginning breakfast, lunch and dinner (As I've stated, we got the all inclusive package so we didn't check much the restaurants surrounding the area, although there were loads). Food was good but not exceptional. The hotel restaurant staff and all the bartenders were all nice and friendly. Their mojito was awesome.
The common areas such as the lounge, restaurant, the pool and the pool side were clearly outdated but pretty much clean. Some of the sunbeds aren't in good condition.
The location is good as it is just a few minutes walk to the beach, shops, restaurants and the bus station (in case you wanna have a day trip to Barcelona just like we did)
THE NOISE - in and out of the hotel. Our room was facing the streets and the noise coming from the outside (e.g. garbage trucks every night and drunk passersby) and from the young drunk men occupying beside our room who never toned down despite being reprimanded several times by the hotel staff, were just utterly unbearable. If we hadn't packed our sleeping pills, I don't think it would be really possible to sleep at night during our whole stay.
The room service. Although they clean the room everyday, the towels and sheets were only changed probably just twice or thrice in that week.
The room and its bathroom are old. The balcony is small but with chairs and table in it. Bed is comfy. No issues with the shower facilities. The ancient TV, we didn't bother to use. There are no hair dryers. The walls seemed paper-thin.
The receptionists doesn't speak much English and not very friendly but we do appreciate the nice and accommodating manager of the hotel.
Would only recommend this hotel if you're on a very, very tight budget.
Me and my girlfriend aged 21 and 20 had a great week here from the 4th - 11th September and we are not party people we just wanted a quiet get away where we could relax and enjoy the sun, We booked through BlueSeaHolidays and ended up paying £325 all inclusive, including transfers back and forth to the airport.
Location - Our transfer coach dropped us 5 minutes walk away from the hotel but failed to direct us in the correct way to the hotel but luckily for us we had maps on our phone to help us find the hotel. We found the hotel is also ideally situated for anything you could want to do, If you want to party the strip was 10 minute walk away not that we used it and far enough away to not be able to hear it. The shops, bars and restaurants were outside of the hotel entrance and went on for streets and streets, hundreds of them selling everything you could imagine which we thought was fantastic, If the beach is your thing too then it is 5 minutes walk down the road and its massive!
Room - We got to the hotel around 6pm Spanish time and were in our room all of 5 minutes before realising the room was disgustingly dirty, we went straight down to reception to complain and the manager who was very nice and very well mannered told us somebody would be up to clean the room up to standard which we were happy with, until the lady who came up to clean it arrived, when she walked it she acted as if we had interrupted her and was very rude shouting at us in Spanish then sprayed some air freshener in the corners of the room and then slammed the door as she left, We then went back down to reception to complain again and the manager agreed to move us to a room the next morning, Which he did and the room was 100 times better than the first one so we thank you for that (We didn't catch his name) Just be careful when booking because most rooms are two single beds pushed together and the manager did tell us there were only 5 rooms that had double beds in. The rooms just need a bit of modernising to keep up with the hotels lovely outdoor and reception.
Facilities - The hotel itself was in a gorgeous setting of palm trees and bushes and flowers you wouldn't think it was right in the middle of the town, The pool was adequate although could be slightly bigger but we had no problem with that, They had a pool table and table tennis which were good fun, the bar was lovely although sometimes a queue for a drink would take a while as one staff would be working throughout the day. The sun loungers were uncomfortable but did the job. The pool area was very well kept and very clean. We would have loved the hotel to have some bar entertainment for the evenings though which would have livened it up a bit! Just a local singer or dancer would be ideal.
Food - Food was fantastic and really tasty, could really do though with a labels on everything so you know what you're eating, My girlfriend is very picky with food but found something new to eat every day and enjoyed it! Like we said the only thing missing was labelling things for allergies and just so you knew what you were eating.
Staff - Apart from the one cleaner who was very rude to us at the start of our trip, we found the Staff at the hotel to be amazing! A special thank you to a few people who we managed to make note of names of and two who we didn't, Gaby, Manuel and Vicky the bar staff were all lovely smiley and full of banter throughout the day and made our holiday very enjoyable! Jose in the restaurant was also lovely! Bringing our drinks over to our table when we hadn't asked and always greeting us as soon as we walked into the restaurant. Also a thank you to the manager and lady with glasses and brunette hair on the reception who were also very nice and were always making sure you were having a good day.
All Inclusive - There were hundreds of drinks and loads of snacks which were all free, Including hot dogs, ice cream, peanuts, crisps available at times throughout the day which were great, the few drinks and food that weren't available on all inclusive were branded and you can understand why they have to charge a euro here and there for them which is fine. We also liked the card system with drinks which stopped people leaving their glasses everywhere.
Overall we loved our stay here, So thank you to the team at the Guitart Rosa for making our first holiday away together an enjoyable and memorable one and keep up the good work! Just the few small things in the review that would make it a 5 star review and make us not even hesitate about booking again!
I have to start with the toast was good at breakfast....BUT the staff are lovely, the hotel is a bit dated yes but clean. It is a wee oasis in the middle of town, the shops, bars and beach are just outside the gate. I have read loads of negative comments about this hotel, which I think are a bit over the top. It is a 3 star hotel and does not pretend to be anything other than that. If you want reasonably priced, clean, good location and friendly staff I would recommend it.
Rooms need updateing no air con thin walls very noisy outside staff very helpful lovely lady in bar coykdnt do enuff male bar person never could be found not very friendly if you asked him to do anything had to go reception 5 times to find him food very basic but hotel very clean one lift not worling and kept breaking down be prepared to walk upstairs will say dining area clwan but very basic food for all inclusive
Upon booking a holiday at this hotel for my friend and I, then taking to trip advisor I got more than a little apprehensive given the very mixed reviews on here, but I have now just returned from what has been a very pleasant stay here so wanted to write a detailed and honest review.
I will start by saying that if you are wanting a hugely luxurious stay, as many previous reviewers seem to have been expecting, then obviously this hotel is not for you, though I would have thought the low price would have made this apparent. What the hotel is, however, is very good value for money. The rooms are very basic but clean and comfortable and we found we had plenty room for the two of us. Our balcony overlooked the pool and caught the sun all through the day.
The food we thought was excellent value for the price we paid. Breakfast included a range of cereals, toast, fruit and a variety of other pastries as well as an English Breakfast bar, though I stayed clear of this as the meat was not quite up to what you expect at home. Lunch and dinner however were excellent with always plenty choice on offer all of which I really enjoyed. There was some Spanish dishes such as paella which they had every day, as well as other more familiar foods for people wanting home comforts, and if all else failed and you didn't fancy anything on offer, every meal time had a pasta station as back up.
The staff were very friendly throughout our stay with the bar staff in particular very pleasant to deal with always having a laugh and joke. Despite what other reviews on here say we did not find any of the staff to be rude, though did see a great number of people being horribly rude to them which could be why some people get such a reaction back. The bar was also brilliantly well stocked for an all inclusive, serving San Miguel on tap along with every spirit you could ask for.
The location of the hotel was also brilliant, situated right on one of Lloret's main shopping street, minutes from the bus station should you want to go on an excursion (I would recomend a day in Barcelona which was very easy to reach and made a great day out), 5 minutes walk from the beach and all the fantastic bars and restaurants along there, and just a few minutes from Lloret's main strip if you want to go out.
The only detriment I would say against this hotel is that it can be loud. The walls are quite thin so if you have noisy neighbours, or as was our case a stag do on our corridor coming back in the early hours, noise can be an issue. However this is no fault of the hotels and is to be expected when it is so close to the main nightlife area of Lloret de Mar but is something you should consider before staying here.
Requested a double bed, top floor, quiet, pool view and sunny balcony. got twin squeaky beds, 1st floor, over a noisy road and no sun. I complained, and asked to pay for a upgrade. but the only room with a double bed, is 8 foot square with a view of a fire escape. All the sanitary ware and a lot of the tiles has cracks, peeling paint, when the wardrobe and balcony doors are open you cannot get to the bed. Breakfast, bacon with what I think was scrambled eggs(didn't try them ) and beans, not what I would call a English breakfast. lunch and dinner OK. Dining room staff good, and 1 or 2 of the bar staff. The rest seem sullen. Would not return and would not recommend.
The room had no air conditioning so we had to open the windows to get some cold fresh air at night. Since the streets were very crowded and noisy all night the entire week we were not able to sleep well. The room was not that luxurious but at least it was clean. The inner courtyard pool was very nice!
The hotel was located very close to the beach and city center so it was possible to reach every prime location on foot in 10-15 minutes.
During breakfast the cleaning servant was removing the dishes from the tables while we were still eating each morning. It was weird, funny and annoying all at the same time.
We've just come home from an eight night stay at this hotel-with mixed feelings abort our stay. First of all -this is definitively not an option for anyone whose interested in anything else than to be out clubbing all night long! The noise from the street between 2-5 in the morning is incredible... We thought it couldn't be as bad as some people have commented-but it was! And inside the hotel the clubbers continued to be as loud as outside -knocking at doors and shouting, continously! The food was not great, but pretty ok lunch and dinner '! Breakfast was Not! The bacon wasn't fried but looked 'boiled' and the baked beans were uneatable. There was 'toast', luckily! Wasn't too impressed with The staff in the restaurant, except for one waiter, who really impressed us with his care and worked really hard. The people in the reception were a 'mixed bunch', some really nice and attentative, others, quite the opposite! The bar staff were quite alright, nice and friendly.
The pool area was quite nice-quite small-but U had to be out early sometimes to get a sunbed. Some of The 'clubbing youngsters ', took most of the beds, into the shade and lay their into the afternoon sleeping away their drunkeness-with the result that many others who wanted to sunbathe, couldn't find a bed. Many of the sunbeds were also in a lousy state... which is not ok'! We certainly don't regret our holiday but neither will we be going back! The hotel would have received 3 points, barely -If the noise hadn't been so bad:-)!
I do not know what people are saying about this hotel, we are just back from 9day holiday and could not fault the hotel, on arrival at 2.00am they had a meal with wine and water ready for us, the meals for the complete holiday we very good and so was the service, if you got bad service it was probably the way you spoke and treated the staff. We could only recommend this hotel, well deserves the 3star rating.
3 nights spent with friends and family members here, although the walls are so thin I swear that all 19 of us were in one room when it came to bedtime. Breakfast unpalatable, thankfully a Subway 500meters away came in handy. Rude bar woman who's abrasive attitude was worrying. Machine took money off children and wasn't working but clearly she wasn't interested. requesting Ice in your plastic cup presented drink was also too much for her. All inclusive but Peanuts available from one member of staff but not from another? That is if you were not waiting for up to 15 minutes for one to show up. Pool Area untidy with layers of filth by the outdoor showers and probably not cleaned for years. Table tennis bats not in one piece, wifi took forever to load, sinks cracked , toilets cracked, air con broken, lamp shades missing etc etc . Overall a sorry excuse for a hotel. One that perhaps 30 years ago may have been considered 3 star but has suffered from a lack of investment to bring it up to date.
