"hotel in the center of town"
this is quite a lively hotel being situated in the center of the town, so it can be noisy at night if you are a light sleeper. the pool and bar area is not too bad as is the dining area.but the rooms, oh dear oh dear. they are desperately in need of refurbishment with absolutely filthy bedding, a safe with no lock on it and who pinched the mini fridge? […] I wont mention the state of the bathroom or the paper thin walls and the chamber maids pleased themselves whether they made your bed or not, on one occasion they did make the bed they left the room door wide open so we were very lucky nothing was stolen. Just arrived in Belgium, had a wonderful stay in this hotel. Location is perfect, hotel is just beside a long street of shops were you can find everything you need from food, drinks, clothes, worth a walk. When we arrived, t'was not the type of a modern hotel that we used to stay, but we then realized the uniqueness of the building itself. The staffs are so friendly and accomodating specially Juan Antonio who gives us more informations about nearby places we could plan during our stay. The kitchen staffs gave us the good morning feeling and made us feel like home. Am sure coming back at Guitart Rosa. Thanks again to the whole staff !

One of the worst hotels I've possibly ever stayed in, we asked for a triple room & got a double with a single bed shoved in there & no balcony with 1 window. Also falsely accused of playing music to which we was rudely awakened by the hotel manager shouting & screaming at 7am however we later proved with a photo that showed the date & time that were innocent. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

My husband and I have just returned home this week after a nice holiday in loret de mar,but a less then good stay in the rosa !!!! I would not recomend it to anyone. On the day we arrived we were told they had no room for us,then tried to send us off to another naff place. The hotel itsself is right in middle of shops and pubs.so not only noise of that but very thin wallscould hear everything going on in other rooms.Food was dire staff were not that cheerful ,except for a couple on reception. Shame cuz the actual resort was nice.

Myself and partner have just returned from this hotel yesterday, could not wait to get home. The hotel itself was a run down miserable delapidated place. It was situated in the middle of a town with awful views of horrible buildings all around you. The first room they gave us was above a busy street with pubs and shops on the first floor, the ppl on the street may as well have been in the room with us. I did not take this room, they tried to move us to an even worse room. Had to pay to upgrade to poolside view, which was quieter but still horrible views. I am not a snob at all, which ppl who read bad reviews often think you must be, but I have never stayed in a worse hotel in my life, and was totally disapointed in the whole place. The food was awful, we ate out most of the time. There was no entertainment day or night, not even a bit of music, nothing to do but sit looking at each other with a drink, never more than ten ppl downstairs, although the hotel was aparrantly full?? lol. If what you want from a holiday is a cheap tacky run down B&B, then this is for you, even tho we were fully inclusive, if you expect more, do not go here. We would both rather have been at home than there, and others we spoke to said the same. The staff were ok but not really friendly, mainly full of spanish as guests too, who were mostly rude, loud and unfriendly. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I wish I had listened to the bad reviews and not tried to read between the lines, as it really didnt work. The pictures dont show the real hotel or surroundings. Chose somewhere else if you want value for your money and a nice time....

Stayed here with a school trip and really braced myself for the worst after reading a few reviews. Honestly was quite pleasantly surprised when we arrived because it wasn't that bad at all. Staff however were rude and did not look too happy to be there. The breakfast and dinner was awful I would not recommend eating there. The dinner was mostly pasta and some dodgy looking meat that I avoided. However, the location was great and was right on a main street and was close to the beach.was quite noisy at night times but I guess that's what you get for staying in a hotel right near a strip. The room was small and very cramped and the bathroom was not clean. Overall I recommend for groups looking for a cheap holiday but not for family's or people looking for something a bit more luxurious.

We booked this hotel as allocation on arrival through Easyjet for £479 each, which in August (21st - 28th) is not bad at all including flights and transfers and All Inclusive. Once the hotel was allocated, we where quite concerned especially with many bad reviews on Trip Advisor. The hotel was overall very nice and clean. The staff who we spoke to where, without exception, very friendly especially in the dining room and the bar. The rooms where fine for us, not massive, but not at all too small. We had a balcony overlooking the pool, which was nice to sit on in the morning. Every day, the rooms where cleaned, beds made and fresh towels replaced. The dining room offered some very good food. It might not be to everyones taste, but there did seem to be quite a large selection at all times. David and Manuel in the bar, where very friendly and always welcoming. The only beer was San Miguel in the all inclusive, but that was fine. A large stock of spirits was available. Basically, we got probably more than we paid for. Nice hotel, easy access to shops, beach and clubs. The only downside, was after a school party of Italian school kids checked in after the second day. The noise was incredible at night. Can't really blame the hotel for this and the teachers should have controlled them better. Although the walls did seem to be quite thin and kept out no noise at all. Overall, I enjoyed it and would recommend it

I am french, I choose the hotel on situation / city and price and was very surpirsed : The hotel is really great, well situated, clean and nice. I thank every person wrking there because they make you feel as you would be member of a "family" the Boss is an energic and nice woman, and all the people at the reception are really sweet and nice. I didn't plan to go back to this city, but after my stay, i wish i could find back this family atmosphere

It's a really nice resort with nice rooms which seemed a little small to me. The upside is that you get a nice balcony and the room has a tv. I really don't have anything bad to say about this hotel. The only thing was that the food was cold at night.

We booked a stay in this Hotel in Mid November 2012 to go to the F1 Spanish Grand Prix and specifically requested a Small suite with a/c and Pool View not on the ground floor. On arrival we were given a room at the rear of the old part of the building with a balcomy looking over roof tops/satellite dishes to the hills above Lloret. Whist the room was clean and the bathroom actually had a had a bath with a shower above there was no a/c; fortunately due to the very poor weather and cold temperatures during the week this was not an issue. The furniture in the rooms is appalling bits of tatty chipboard covered in fake veneer that looked like it had come from a jumble sale, the wooden doors to the balcomy were rotten and falling apart. The carperts in the corridors were filthy and thread bare and the two lifts in the older building were postively ancient. The furniture in the Reception area is filthy and should be burnt as soon as possible. The next shock was the restaurant a lovely looking room with crisp white table cloths and well spaced tables. The head waiter/ drinks server was very welcoming and quickly produced a chilled bottle of White House wine for the sum of 4.50 Euros, a bottle available in a local super market for 2.00 euros as we later found out. There were 2 waitresses also in the restuarant who apart from the first night when one advised it was "self servi" who never said a word to anyone, let alone smiled, the whole week. The food was extremely badly cooked and mostly cold for some undefineable reason the food service area hotplate is never hot so food brought from the kitchaen goes cold extremley quickly; we discovered why there was a Microwave in the middle of the room. The Hotel Chef, and I use the term loosely, seems to be incapable of putting a menu together for dinner meals were meats and fish are actually complimented with appropriate varieties of vegatables and potato choices. The second evening there was nice roast sliced beef in gravy but no boiled or roasted or even sauted potatoes but chips and not a vegatable in sight apart from some palm hearts. The breakfast was the usual offering you would expect in a spanish hotel selection of cold meats, cheeses, crosiants. The bacon and sausages were of good quality but unfortunately the bacon was almost always nearly raw and for some strange reason they boiled the sausages instead of grilling or frying them the baked beans were always cold as was the rest of the food, hence the microwave being extensively used. The fried eggs were either totally frazzled to crisp brown with hard yolks or under cooked and what ever variety appearedc were always swimming in oil, there was never a choice of boiled or scrambled eggs on offer. The bar was also a nice room but the drink prices are ridiculous perhaps someone good explain why a bottle of wine that costs 4.50 euros in the Hotel restaurant costs 9.00 euros for the same bottle in the bar. Fortunately there are plenty of nice cheaper priced bars and inexpensive restaurants in Lloret so we were able to eat decent food and have good drinks in the evenings outside of the hotel. The best thing they could do with this hotal is demolish it and rebuild it or gut it and totally refurbish it top to bottom. Yes I know this is a 3 Star Hotel but if you look around Lloret there are lots of 3 Star Hotels many of which have comparable pricing but are far better and actually serve good food. We met a couple who have been going to Lloret for 30 years and they laughed when we told them were we were staying they advised they stayed there once some years ago and it was bad then and has just got worse. They very kindly gave us some pointers on 3 Star Hotels to stay in in Lloret that knock spots of the Guitart Rosa and we will follow there advice when we go back to Lloret next year.
"Wonderful Oasis in lively resort"

The Hotel is a wonderful retreat in a lively resort, full of character and charm. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and spacious with more facilities than the average three star Hotel. The staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you to make your stay memorable and enjoyable. The design and architecture of the building truly reflect the great famous artists of nearby Barcelona. We would definately return again and again. Thank you to all the staff for our enjoyable stay.
