The hotel staff was very nice. It would have been nice if the price included unlimited wifi and breakfast but I was happy with the stay. The bathroom was very nice with nice fixtures and bathtub. This hotel is beautiful! We were there for 2 shows at the MEN Arena, which is an easy 10-minute walk. Walking distance to everything - shopping, coffee, train station. Staff was very polite and helpful. Room was bigger than expected, very clean, easily controlled temperature, beautiful bathroom.

The staff at the Anco was friendly and helpful right from the first visit. Any information you needed they were able to give you or even give you a walking tour. The rooms are small but you definitely get more than your monies worth. I definitely recommend Anco and will stay there again on my future trips to Amsterdam.

Arrived by train at 12:30 am and by cab was in hotel room by 12:45 am, very convenient and very efficient hotel staff. They offered to hold our belonging as we spend the day with family and friends. Very large, spacious and contemporary design for Europe.

We came to Manchester for a game and stayed the night at the Arora. They were very accomdating. They held our tickets for us, gave us advice on getting to the game and even asked the next day about our experience. We were very pleased. The room was large, not over the top but very comfortable and quite big.

This hotel was very clean and modern. The location to the main town area was good. The only negative I would say was the location of their bar. It was in the basement and offered no atmosphere. The room was large and had all the mods and cons. Security was good. Would recommend this to any solo or traveeling couple.

Great hotel in a great location, and all the great reviews about the bed are true...it was heavenly!The staff was super helpful, Sue greeted us with a smile upon arrival and answered many of our questions thoroughly. Nathan was helpful when we inquired if there was an internet cafe in the building. (Yes, 4th floor, 1$ gets you an hour). The only problem […] we had was that we had booked through Hotels.com and paid in full and when we wanted to transfer 2 nights at the Arora Manchester for 2 nights at the Arora London and just pay a difference the night supervisor Lorraine was not helpful at all. She just said no without even trying to pick up the phone to try an accomodate us. So we ended up paying for the rooms while we were in London. Another evening Sue had a line of people waiting and Lorraine was in her office and had to be called to come out and help. She wasn't happy. The Obsidian Restaurant provides room service, their staff was very pleasant and the food D-Lish! All in all a great trip, my only advice would be to plan ahead, this is not a fly by the seat of your pants kind of place. Read more

The hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful with taxis and other arrangements. The breakfast buffet was wonderful as was dinner at the Obsidian. I would stay again and recommend them to others. There were a number of aircrews also staying, which didn't surprise me - the rooms are very quiet and quite conducive to a good night's sleep.

The hotel's location could not be better - at the edge of Manchester's Chinatown, across from the Art Museum, and almost adjacent to the Town Hall and a Metrolink tram stop. The breakfast buffet would challenge the best anywhere, and if you did not want a full hot breakfast, the cold buffet came at a lower price and the cold table assortment was also superior to offerings at most hotels. The hotel offered all the amenities of the largest hotels in Manchester, but it is small enough so you won't feel overlooked - I felt that my two-night stay there was very important to them. We stayed at the Arora for 4 nights on a 40% discount offer. The hotel is well situated, 5 mins walk to the Arndale and a 2 min walk to the St Peters Sq tram stop. There is a bus stop across the road for the purple free metro bus, however if you catch it from the Picadilly station it's probably quicker to walk due to the long bus route. The hotel is […] clean and well kept, my only complaint in terms of comfort was the bed in room 206. It was a bit too soft for my liking. The staff in the hotel are very helpful and nothing is a problem. On arrival we were offered pre booked breakfast at £10 per person per day. We took the offer up but only for the first day. The full English part of the breakfast was awful. Watery scrambled egg, very cheap sausage and nasty beans. I would have preferred to pay more and get something I liked the taste of. Seems to be a silly mistake on the hotels part given that 2 minutes down the road there is a Wetherspoons pub offering a much better breakfast at half the price. I would use this hotel again but I think if I had to pay full price I'd go elsewhere. Read more

First room offered tiny. second bigger but not well maintained. Dirty carpet, uneven floor that boughhed unsafely, skirting panel broken and piece missing. Duty manager claimed this was character! Not what we were hoping for after reading reviews. We moved hotels for our next night.
